"Good point." Brian nodded in Vince's direction. They hadn't always been on best terms but this time they would work closely together without thoughts of past disagreements. "I'll check the transfer sheet and find out who might have a connection to the racing scene and who's not a mass murderer or something." He once again and looked from one to the next. Then he clapped his hands together and rubbed them. "Let's do it!" It was more to cheer himself on than anybody else. Brian had his doubts that it would really work out as planned. His expression reveilled that fact.

Mia smiled at Vince when he nodded at her in greeting. She couldn't deny that he looked better... It was nice to see him-- To see them all. All she wanted to do was go around and hug each and everyone of them. She listened silently as Vince spoke, nodding in agreement when he was done. When Brian agreed too, with ease, she felt a sense of pride bubble up within her. They weren't fight because they were working together to get her brother out... Her boys were all grown up. She saw the doubt, though. The concern and second-guessing that crossed Brian's face even as he tried to hide it. He didn't think everything would go right, and if everything didn't go right then that meant another thing added to the moutain of things already weighing down on the ex-cop's shoulders. She pursed her lips together, giving him a calculative look that said 'we need to talk' even as the tension in the room seemed to stem out and evaporate away. They'd got everything planned-- well, almost everything-- and that made it a whole lot easier to see what was ahead for all of them.

When Brian looked from one to the other he tried to interpret their expressions. Vince looked pretty confident. He wore a small frown but didn't he always. Leon kept a straight face while Letty gave him her trademark frown. She would even if the plan was watertight including three backup plans. After all it was her Dom's freedom they tried to ensure. Jack looked pretty careless. Brian didn't expect anything else. Not that he really didn't care. He was just overly confident and as much of an adrenalin junkie as Brian was. Last but not least his eyes met Mia's. The look she gave him was reassuring at first but Brian could tell she wanted to add something. For some reason she didn't though. So Brian got up and walked towards the kitchen. "I'm going to get myself a drink, does anybody else want something?" He nodded at her to follow him.
In the kitchen he closed the door behind them and leaned against the counter. "What's on your mind, Mia?"

"I'm going to get myself a drink, does anybody else want something?" Brian had asked, queing her with a nod of his head to follow. "I'll come with you," She said, trailing after him into the kitchen. As soon as the door closed behind her, he leaned back against the counter and looked her up and down with that piercing stare. "What's on your mind, Mia?" He asked, and she leaned against the counter a couple feet away, hand on her hip. "What are you so worried about Brian?" She asked, watching him carefully for any of his tells. "This plan is easy-- dangerous but easy. We should be able to handle it just fine with all of us working together." She was trying to be reasurring even as she was panicking about the thought of something going wrong. What if someone got hurt? What if someone got KILLED? These worries claimed her mind, even as she was trying to tell Brian not to fret so much. That everything would be fine-- She couldn't help but feel the same way he did though... Like something terrible would happen.

While Brian listened to Mia he calculated the odds in his head. "Hopefully you're right. Now that Leon and Jack are on board as well and you, of course, our chances are pretty good." Brian tried to make himself beleive his own words. "Plus Dom is worth the risk to each and everyone of us. Even Jackie who doesn't even know him. He just does it to help me." The cop had to laugh a bit. "And for the thrill of it." Then his mood changed to more serious again. "It's just...look at what happened 8 years ago. And look at what happened in Mexico." Suddenly he stepped closer and pulled her into a hug. "Everybody here takes the risk. They all take it upon themselves and will face the consequences but I don't want anything to happen to you." Brian held her tight and placed his chin on top of her head. The overwhelming feeling that he might never be this close to Mia again started to make him uncomfortable, shaky. What if they never got a chance to make their relationship stronger and deeper. What if one of them ended up in prison or would be killed. Brian would forever regret that. Just like he regreted not getting in touch with her for so many years. But he wouldn't be Brian O'Conner if he'd really let himself get caught up in emotions that much so he straightened his back and cleared his throat. "Don't worry. That's not going to happen!" This time he was confident.

She fell into the warmth of his embrace. It felt so good to just be held close to someone you cared about. Burrying her face against the cotton of his t-shirt, she gripped it when soft hands to hold him close. He was unsure as he continued his speech, and she felt his arms tighten around her. He was worried he'd lose her or something... That was so sweet. Winding her arms around his waist, she rest her face against his chest. She was worried about him too... she didn't want to lose another important person in her life-- She wouldn't lose another. Not to mention the fact that she was getting one back. He was confident, then. Reasurred that nothing would happen, that everything would work out. She pulled back a bit, but not out of the hug to smile up at him. "Right... Nothing's going to happen," She said, getting on her toes to press a kiss to his cheek. "We're going to all be fine. It'll all work out as long as we stick together."
