Like a well oiled net, the trap closed around the prey. At least, Monica hoped it was. Unfortunately, Jack O'Conner was much like his brother. Resourceful and smart. If it hadn't been for the off chance of having looked into Piper Blairs past and come up with this connection, she'd never have known were to look. Fortunately, the bouncer seemed to have a soft spot for the little blond and once she'd told him about the danger the woman was in, he'd been more than agreeable to helping her out. Well, after a bit more persuasion in the form of threatening to shut the place down if he didn't cooperate.
Hence when the call came it, it took them barely 45 minutes to mobilize and be on scene. Covering every exit they could, the swat team went in loaded for bear and here she was, ten minutes later entering the office of one Noah Hendrix. Good looking devil he was for sure, she thought ideally before looking around. "That will be all, boys. I can handle this from here." she ordered, watching the men fall back out of the room even as she narrowed her gaze upon the blond. "Noah Hendrix, I presume?" she asked, already knowing who he was. "Tsk, tsk. Aiding and abetting a wanted criminal and obstructing justice could land you in a world of trouble. How about we just cut to the chase and you tell me where your little girlfriend and her companion went? You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours?"

Behind the well armed swat boys a rather pretty brunette with a badge around her neck showed up and told her boys to get out. Apparently she was the leader of the pack.
The way she looked at him, Noah knew she was a player and knew how to stand her ground. Yet he knew the same.
The woman knew who he was which told him that the whole raid could possibly because of his 'business', yet she wanted to know where 'the little girlfriend and her companion' went.
Playing dumb he gave her a straight look in the eyes. "So you know my name, but not the names of the people you're looking for?" He raised a brow. "I pressume you have a search warrant if you come barging into my club and scare the customers like that!" His voice wasn't as friendly as she might have wanted it to be. "Cause for all I know the only one breaking a law here is you. 'breaking and entering' I believe it's called." He cocked his head to the side.
Then he leaned forward until his face was uncomfortably close to hers and whispered. "So if you want to scratch my back it has to be on a much more personal level, honey."

God, what was it with these California boys? She must have a weakness for them or something, she thought silently even though her eyes didn't give any clues away. "Its not breaking and entering if I find anything in this club to pin on you, handsome." she told him, letting a smirk turn up her lips. "And I have all the authority I need when looking for a person of interest. See, the man with your friend? You might say hes one of our American Most Wanted lists for a half dozen reasons. I can barge in where ever I please as long as I have reason to suspect him being there."
Then, stepping backwards, she made a show of glancing around the office before looking back at him. "Now, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. It would be much easier for us both if we went the quick path but I've never been known to turn down a hard one either." she continued, dark eyes amused at his attempt to put her off balance. "My intel tells me that you and Miss Blair had a thing awhile back. Did she come to you for help? Do you realize that by keeping us from catching up with her, you could be putting her in mortal peril? Be a shame to have that pretty face found dead in the ditch somewhere because of something she wasn't even supposed to be part of, wouldn't it? I can help keep that from happening... But first, I have to find her."

"Its not breaking and entering if I find anything in this club to pin on you, handsome." This lady knew how to play the game and knew he wasn't squeeky clean either. If she looked long enough she'd find something. Yet Noah wasn't about to give his ex up. "America's most wanted, eh? How did he manage that? I kinda want to make it on that list." Noah remarked with less sarcasm than a bystander might think. So Jack was a criminal...interesting. He wondered whether Piper was aware of it. Sure, she liked bad boys but Americas most wanted? "Now, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. It would be much easier for us both if we went the quick path but I've never been known to turn down a hard one either."He hadn't kicked her off balance one bit, so he kept going down the same route. "I like it hard."
The humorless smirk remained on his lips because none of her threads were going to make him give up Piper....Jack, on the other hand. For now he was Pipers attachment though and therefore safe. "Miss Blair and me barely exchanged a warm welcome before you guys came barging in here. No idea where she went. Check the ladies rooms." He stated firmly although he was interested what danger her life could possibly be in. "I think Piper can take care of her own. So unless you have anything against me or my club I'd suggest you leave fast because she doesn't seem to be here anymore, agent." His eyes narrowed as he made sure to remember her badge number.

So, he was going to play hardball was he? Shaking her head as if in disappointment, Monica sighed. "Your really not doing yourself or your friend any justice here." she told the blond, moving back towards him. Pausing directly in front of him, she met his gaze levelly before reaching her pocket and pulling out a card. Trusting it forward, she pinned it to his chest with a slim digit before a slim brow arched. "If you change your mind or decide to walk on the right side for once, give me a call. I'm always interested in hearing from bad boys like you." she continued, letting a smirk quirk up her lips before she turned away.
Heading for the door, she paused to glance back over her shoulder meaningfully at him before shouting. "Lets go, boys. Our game is up here." she told the officers still milling around in the hall. She had no doubt that Hendrix was being honest when he said they were gone. A man like that had his ways and he wouldn't be pinned down anywhere, especially his own club. Their suspects were long gone by now but her purpose had been served at least.

Noah didn't care what the pretty agent thought about him nor did he care to use the number on the card that she pushed at his chest. Still he reached for it twiddling it between his fingers because it meant that they were done talking.
His eyes never left the woman until she and her troupers were gone. At least she didn't make an effort to tear his club apart now in search of Piper and Jack or anything she could pin on Noah.
Once she was gone Noah walked over to his desk to throw the small card reading "Agent Monica Fuentes" into the garbage can. Then he paused for a moment. If Jack was really on the Most Wanted List and he himself should get into trouble with the law he might be able to use any information on Jack as leverage to get himself a jail free card. So he bend down to pull the card back out and placed it under a couple of whiskey bottles on a shelf.
Then he pulled out his cell making sure that nobody was listening in and called Piper. "Feds are leaving." Without further instructions or information he hung up. The last thing he wanted was any bad trail leading to him.
{Should we end this thread?}
