Faye laughed ever so softly, blushing as he pulled out her chair, before ordering an ice cold coke. "So are you and Mia" SHe tilted her head, she didnt want to bring up bad vibs, "Have you guys sorted anything yet" She questioned softly, grabbing a menu so she could see what was being offered, and what she fancied.

The question really wasn't what Brian wanted to talk about. It made his heart drop and his smile faded slightly. "No, not really." He held back on any further information because he didn't want to spoil their day. He got pretty absorbed in the menu as well and waited for her to place an order but didn't order any food himself. "You and Jack?"

Faye took the silence as her answer and instead of pushing for more infomation she simply let it slide, things wernt okay and he didnt wanan talk about it. SHe wanted to be able to tell him it would be okay, but she didnt know that it would.
She quickly ordered a salad, chips and a slice of pizza before her gaze turned to him, "About the same" She muttered softly, shrugging her shoulders.

"Hm." Was the only comment he wanted to add to that topic as well. Instead he looked up at her and encouraged her with a smile. "Today's a good day right? Sunny, hot, no work, good company...Let's leave it at that." He took the glas that the waitress placed on the table and drank a bit gulp. "I'm going to do what I can. The rest is up to her." His gaze wandered out towards the street where a Mazda RX was cruising by and caught his attention. "Did I tell you that we might open a bigger garage?"

Faye slowly nodded her head as she allowed the cool liquid of the coke to smooth down her throat, the cool liquid giving her the energy boost she needde. There was nothing either of them could do, they could fight yes, but ultimatly there were two people in a relationship, two people that had to want it, and if the other person didnt......
Faye perked up at the mention of another garage "You mentioned...but never the specifics"

"Walter found a place near downtown that's pretty cool. It's an older building but renovated and it's surrounded by cool shops, but no other garages nearby. It's huge." His face started lighting up while he talked. "It could be a real good opportunity to once and for all get away from the cop jobs."
The waitress brough Fayes lunch. "Enjoy your lunch." He leaned back and watched Faye with interest. She looked like somebody had taught her good table manners. "How did you grow up?"

Faye let out a breath, the sound of Walters name still creeped her out, but she was slolwy dealling with what happened, after all, WAlter had saved her life, if he hadnt done what he had done, a gun shot wound to the leg wuold have been the least of her worries...
The smell of her fod alearted her to the fact it was arriving and she watched it be set in front of her, dark gaze lifting to him, "Your not eating" She questioned with a raised brow as she slowly picked up the fork, whichwas promptly stabbed into a chip that only reached half way to her lips.
"My dad was a drunk, and i didnt see my mom untill i was 16 when Lee shipped me out to Miami, she er never really payed much attention" A soft smile crossed her lips, "Not what you expected"She wondered.

The food made his mouth water. Somebody could have put a dead cockroach in front of him and he would have eaten it. "Not supposed to." He wrinkled his nose. "Don't worry, I can handle it." He said before he leaned down and bit into his napkin.
Then he snatched a fry from her. "A few can't hurt. Better than seeing me hungry, I swear!"
When she explained how she grew up he stopped chewing, then slowly shook his head. "No." "I'm sorry to hear that? How did you turn out this polite, educated and all."

Faye laughed and almost felt guilty for eating in front of him, but damn if she wasnt so hungry, with a raised, almost amused expression she watched him "Oh your bout as cute as a doll" Laughing she let it die.
"Lee mostly, he wasalways there, and i used bust tables" She smiled over at him, dark eyes twinkling, "Its okay, considering what my dad used to do you would have thought id have seen teh warning signs with Tristan" Shrugging her shoulders she took another drink of the coke.
"What doesnt kill us makes us stronger"

"You must be really strong...no, scratch that, you are really strong. You just don't know it." He stated it as a fact, no further explanation, nothing to add. Simply true. "And you're cruel!" His mouth was watering when he watched her eat. "Leon's a good guy. It took me a while to get over what he did in prison but same as Walter, you know, if it wasn't for him I'd be dead or somebody's wife." He shuddered at the thought.

Faye didnt responde, she had learned to survive, a lot of people didnt know what they were capable of untill they were faced with a situation that pushed them and you ahd only one option, live or die, it had taken a lot for her to understand that.
"He is...the things he does are controversal, but he'd die for the ones he loves" She adored her brother, there was no better person in the world them him. "I didnt agree with what he did, i still dont, but he saved your life, same as Walter saved mine" SHe bit the inside of her lips her other hand subconsciously rubbing at her leg.

Brian listened to her and watched her rub her leg. Only now he noticed that he hadn't thought about the incidence in prison for ages. He wished he could share how he got over it with Faye. "You're going to get through this fine."
Another frie dissapeared from her plate. "These are the best fries I've ever had." He shot another look at his watch and grabbed one more. "They'll make you fat, I think I have to help you out."

Faye nodded her head, she would, she always did, the scars and the memories were always there, but she always moved past them eventually, never allowing herself to think of them. She knew thoughif she didnt have the people in her life that she did she woudl have given up a long time ago.
Reaching down for her plate she notcied that her chips had become fewer, with a raised and slightly amused expression she shook her head, "Didnt think you were meant to eat" She questioned while promptly shooving the plate of fries closer towards Brian, now concentrating on her salad and slice of pizza.

It was good to see more confidence in Faye. The other day she had made the impression on Brian that she was about to fall apart.
He reached for another handful of fries and dipped them into the ketchup. "Yeah, not supposed to. Since when do I do what I'm supposed to. Look up 'not supposed to' in the dictionary and you'll find a picture of any O'Conner family member in there."
He leaned back in his chair and lifted his arms behind his head to get a bit of a sun teint. "What's Jackie doing these days. Is he looking for a job?"

Laughing ever so slightly she shook her head, this time taking a bite of her pizza, sighing at the taste of it. Licking her lips she followed it down with a swallow of coke, before her brow furrowed at his words.
"Jack" She let out a sigh, her dark eyes lifting to the man in front of her, did she really need to tell him, to let him worry about this. Licking her lips she looked over at him, "He's drinking" She stated softly, "Half the time i dont think he realizes i know....im worried about him"

Brian watched her eat. Without hearing her words he could tell something was off with Jack. Jack was always good for some sort of trouble so Brian wasn't surprise. Whether it was being ionvolved in some sort of petty crime, smoking weed, running away or whatever. Count on Jack to be in some sort of shit. "I'm not surprised. That's how he copes. He's always found some escape rather than facing a problem. That's Jack." Drinking was new though. "The question is how much is he drinking."
Brian let his gaze wander to his watch. "My appointment is in 45 minutes. Does your offer still stand? We can keep talking on the way there."

Brian followed her inside to the counter and slipped around her. He noticed how well his knee was working and there was barely any pain. Before she could pay he put a bill on the counter and said. "That's on me, you'll have to listen to my whining the rest of the afternoon." The waitress thanked him for the generous tip.
"So we have to get back to the car quickly."

Faye shook her head, but didnt bother commenting about the fact he was paying for her. Rolling her eyes she smiled, "Its a ten minuet walk Brian, we'll be there and at your appointment by the time you need to be" She stated with a soft smile.
Staying in step with him, she smiled, as they headed back towards the car.

While they walked back at a fast pace Brian explained. "As long as Jack's not drinking every day until he pukes I wouldn't worry about it. I have times when I drink too much and then cut back. Jack's not really prone to addiciton." In the distance he could see the parking lot. "I'm starting to wonder whether I even have to go there. It's feeling pretty good now."
