He was there, right in front of her, dark eyes sparkled as they looked up at him, eyes wide as her dark eyes slowly trailed down to his lips, they were parted slightly and only a breath away from her own, a soft, slow seductive smile crossed her lips, fingers smoothing softly over the slightly rough skin of his jaw.
Then there it was, his words…he had learned quickly, probably to the two whores that had cheated on him, all woman had a game to play, her more then any one, it was what she was born to do, use guys, pull them into her web of lies, play them long enough for her father or brother to swoop on it, even Johnny used her, all she knew were games. Sighing softly she draw her lower lip between her teeth, eyes lowering away from him, the side of skin and bone hitting a wall assaulted her ears and she finally lifted her gaze, looking over at him.
Drawing her lower lip between her teeth she slid from the washing machine and walked slowly to where he stood, one hand closing around his large arm, her head tilted ever so slightly, “And I would have had you any where in this apartment bad break up or not, trust me, sex is the best cure” A slow wry smile crossed her lips as she let his arm go and stepped away from him. “Id tell you you’ve mis judged me, we both know you havent, when it comes to woman im the worse, cold, and manipulative” Lifting her dark gaze to him she smiled, one thing you can be sure of though Jeremy, I wouldn’t dream of playing games with you” Licking her lips she let out a soft breath, and moved past him so she could leave the laundry room.

Jeremy snorted softly, "Sex hasn't cured anything in the 6 years that passed from the last woman who cheated on me it didn't do anything but make me regret not realizing that she was fooling around on me sooner. I doubt sex is going to fix it this time."
His eyes were hard and cold, he didn't play games with his personal life, but he did them with his job. Carefully shifting and manipulating people to get what he wanted or what he needed to keep his carefully balanced life afloat. But this here and now, this was like trying to sew a hole back together with wire. The wound itself stopped hurting, having gone numb but every time she tried to stitch him back together it gave off an excruciating burst of pain.
He had no doubt in his mind that she was the worst of all the women he had met and where that would have his undivided attention normally he didn't feel like it. Jeremy sighed as he swallowed back a wave of nausea, the everclear was still trying to bite him one and he was trying everything he could not to let it. He pushed himself to walk out of the small laundry room to follow her, there was no sense in having her wander around his apartment unattended.
"So what now?" He asked blandly, "Your not planning on leaving as much as I want you to. I'm not having sex with you because I not only am I not in the mood, I also don't feel like using you. So that leads to the question of what now?"

Natassia rose a brow laughing softly, “With the right woman you’d be surprised on what they can make you forget, even if its for a moment” She licked her lips, dark eyes watching him as a soft breath fell from her lips.
He was changing right in front of her, going from the broken hearted man to the man now stood in front of her, cold, shut of, the best way to deal with the pain of having your heart broken, licking her lips she shook her head softly, and stepped back into the main room of the apartment, head twisting so she could look at him.
Chuckling she rose a brow, “Wow a guy who doesn’t want to use me, never thought I’d see the day” Smiling she folded her arms over her chest and shrugged her shoulders, “Anything you wanna do, that doesn’t involve me leaving you alone” She licked her lips, and brushed a hand through her hair while looking around his apartment.
She couldn’t pretend she was good at this, even if she wanted to, cus she wasn’t, hell she was fucking horrible at this, she didn’t know what to do to make him feel better, cus hell she had never had her heart broken, it was her doing the breaking. She was good for one thing only, sex…she used her body to get what she wanted, to get what her family wanted.
Sighing she pursed her lips as she looked over at him, “But you however look like crap…you really should get some sleep…or drink some water….you got any lime or lemon in this place?”

"A moment's too short. When it's over everything comes back and sometimes it worse," Jeremy said with a slight shrug of his shoulders, "Sleeping is out of the question, sleeping leads to dreaming and dreaming leads to everything I don't want to focus on. Water is still not a good plan unless I feel like puking again, and why the hell do you need lime or lemon?"
What ever she was thinking of, was confusing him. He figured he had to look like shit if she was still telling him to drink water and go to sleep, neither of which he was going to do under any circumstances. Hell after his first breakup the only time he slept was when he drank himself into a stupor and then fell asleep.
Jeremy rubbed his neck and walked into the kitchen opening the fridge he found the food he was going to cook for him and Faye that night. There really wasn't any sense in it going to waste and the food would help his stomach problems any way.
"You hungry Natassia?"

Natassia looked over at him dark eyes watching him intently, “Then why drink?” She questioned with a raised brow, “I mean drinking is just like sex….it’s blissful until it wears of and then your left right at the start, wishing you wasn’t alone and returning to the bottle, it becomes your mistress the same way a hot woman would…it doesn’t help, it makes everything worse, and unlike sex alcohol will eventually kill you”
Licking her lips she folded her arms while resting against the counter, letting out a soft laugh, “That is exactly why I want lemon or lime, you don’t wanna drink the water, and you look like your gonna puke, you refuse sleep so” She shrugged her shoulders, “it’s an old family secret, cures the alcohols in your system…not nice but it does the trick”
Sighing she shrugged her shoulders, “Well looks like im stopping for a while, might as well eat to” Walking towards him, but keeping herself at a safe distance she looked over at him, “Can I do anything to help?”

"Because that moment lasts as long as I want it to, that and I don't have to be horny to drink," Jeremy said glancing at her as he pulled food out of the fridge.
Sure he felt sick to his stomach but it wasn't like he hadn't had this feeling before. He knew how to stop himself from being sick, which was easier said then done as he placed the food on the counter and shook his head slowly.
"No, I got it, just go ahead and take a seat. You know make yourself comfortable, it'll be a bit. I was supposed to be making all of this for Faye, but hey might as well not let it go to waste right?"
It was a rhetorical question, Jeremy figured the faster that he got rid of the things that reminded him of Faye, the faster he could shut himself back up. Which meant the better he could ignore how he felt about the second woman he lost.

Natassia rolled her eyes, “Nope but it will kill you, and the come down is a hell of a lot worse” She shrugged her shoulders as she watched him, dark eyes roaming over his form for a moment, “Don’t worry im not going to jump you” Laughing softly she moved to sit back at the table.
Drawing her lower lip between her teeth she let out a sigh, she hated not being able to help, and she doubted her way of sorting things wouldn’t go down well with him, so she pushed that aside as well, resting her hand on the table, she drummed her fingers against the wood work as she watched him working.
“So what exactly do you do for Jonny?” She questioned with a raised brow, a soft smile crossing her features, hell might as well take his mind of things one way or another.

"I think I can handle myself if you do jump me. You seem light enough," he said with a half smile that he flashed over his shoulder, "And I'm dying a little everyday, I doubt a little help in that category won't matter. I'll go when it's my time to go."
Jeremy wasn't a very spiritual person but he did believe that no matter what he did, when ever he was meant to go then he was going to go. In the state of mind there wasn't anything he could do to stop it or make it happen any faster, unless he did it himself. He took a deep breath and refocused his attention on the frying pan in front of him as he tossed things into the pan and turned the stove top on.
He swallowed trying not to think about the fact Faye should have been the one sitting at his table watching him cook. Faye should have been the one who would have been talking to him, laughing with him, and he would be the one making her smile.
"The same thing I do for your dad. I just do about four times the amount of work. I play the middle man so that Johnny can do his other business that I don't want to deal with."

Natassia laughed, shaking her head, “You’d be surprised at how well I can handle myself” She stated returning his smile, only this one was wider, and reached her eyes. Licking her lips she brushed a hand through her hair watching him, it was a dark thought that he wasn’t afraid of death, but then it was the reason she was here, and they both knew it, to make sure he didn’t do something stupid. Drawing her lower lip between her teeth she let it out slowly, fingers smoothing through her hair as she turned her gaze to the hard top table in front of her.
“Hmmm” She slowly draw circles in front of her, finger smoothing over the table as she kept her gaze down on the table, “He cares for you, ya know…Johnny…he called me cus he didn’t know what to do…didn’t wanna hurt ya”
Licking her lips she turned her gaze towards him, the smell of food beginning to waft through the apartment. Every fibre of her being was calling out to her, to go comfort him, to make him feel better, even though it would be just a moment, it was the reason she had comforted Jack, of course then she had known who he was and that had been perfect…now he was back with Faye and everything was fucked up.
Shaking her head she tucked her arms closer towards her, and turned her gaze back to him “God I suck at this” She muttered.

"He doesn't really care Natassia, all he cares is that I'm still around to do all the hard work so that his business can stay afloat. I mean 6 years ago he broke into this apartment every night to make sure I hadn't killed myself by accident. Face it he's always more worried about the money then trying to make people happy."
Jeremy laughed softly, "Your doing the best you can do. To be honest I'm surprised that you haven't bailed yet. Not that I would have blamed you if you had bailed out as soon as you could," he said as he continued cooking, "It's not like I am the easiest guy to deal with when I'm in one of my moods."
One of his moods, was basically him getting himself hurt once more and without reason he let it get to him more then anything else in his crappy life.

Natassia shook her head slowly, she couldn’t very well argue with him, Johnny was a confusing person, she didn’t know if he was capable of caring, sometimes she thought she saw him slipping up, but then in the same instant he was back to the arrogant asshole everyone knew him to be.
Smiling over at him, she finally pushed herself up and walked towards him, “To be honest im trying not to help you the way I always help guys, simply because I know you don’t want that” She looked over at him, while leaning her side against the counter, body close to his but not to close.
“Your moods arent going to bother me Jeremy, iv dealt with a heart broken brother, and three body guards who are pretty damn scary when pushed, you’d be surprised at how well I can deal with shit” Smiling she rested her hand against his, dark eyes sparkling as she smiled at him, “So you need to yell, break things, im good for all of em”

Jeremy laughed his eyes closing as he pinched the bridge of his nose, "I did all the breaking earlier. The screaming, ranting and raving isn't going to do anything for me so I don't even bother with that anymore."
He bit his lip and took the food off as he glanced at her before forcing himself to hold an arm out to her. If she wanted to comfort him hugs were the only way he was going to allow himself to be comforted willingly. There really wasn't anything in the world like wrapping his arms around a beautiful woman and just holding her. There wasn't anything else in that moment other then the hug. There was no alternative motive either.

Natassia nodded her head, smiling over at him, he did seem to be a person who had strict control over things, that or he had learned from the last time, the thought made her angry though, there shouldn’t have been a last time, or a this time, but hell who the fuck was she kidding, she was his ex, she was Faye, all rolled into one, she was the one who used and hurt guys like him.
Drawing her lower lip between her teeth she watched him with a careful eye before allowing herself to go to him, her arms wrapped around his body, holding him tight to her body, fingers smoothed over his back, and the hairs at the nape of his neck. She rested her head against his chest for a moment before pulling away, only enough so she could see his face, dark eyes wondering over it, eyes twinkling as fingers moved, smoothing over his cheek, “She has no idea what she’s lost” She mumbled, before forcing herself to step away from him, hands subconsciously, shoving themselves into the back pockets of her jeans.

Jeremy gave her a half shrug and a slight smile, the hug had helped just a little. He kept himself from sighing again, as he tended to do when he had his heart smashed into a million little bitty pieces. He could tell from her posture that she was having a hard time trying not to seduce him so he could feel better in that one blissful moment. It was flattering to know that she thought so highly of him even in the state he was in at the moment.
"Will lemon juice work for your cure all? I think I still have some on one of the fridge shelves," Jeremy said as another bout of nausea come up to try and bite him again.
Moving slowly he pulled two plates out of the cabinet and poured the contents of the frying pan on to both. It wasn't a hard dish to make, just chicken breasts, spaghetti noodles and a can of cream of mushroom soup. He gave a sad smile at the food, he had almost forgotten that this was one of the only things his mother could cook. She had made this every Saturday like clock work, even after they had moved to Cali, his mother made great strides to make sure nothing had really changed.
"Foods done," Jeremy said in an almost distant voice as he grabbed both of the plates and headed over to the table setting them down opposite one another.

Natassia smiled nodding her head “Actually it will” She smiled as she headed over to the fridge, looking around until she found the juice, she looked over her shoulder at him, “Ever noticed how the bottled stuff is always stronger” Licking her lips she moved towards him, watching as he worked, even heart broken he was gorgeous, the darkness to his eyes that the pain was causing made it even better. Licking her lips she eyed the food smiling as she watched him grab the plate, dark eyes watching him once more.
“Looks amazing” She complimented with a small smile, she popped the lid to the lemon juice and looked towards him, “You want this before or after food” She questioned as he moved past her to the table with two plates of food. It would be better after food, as the lemon was likely destroy any taste buds he had left, but then again, it all depended on how ill he was feeling.

"Not really, I can't say that I ever really use the stuff except for when I want to make Chinese food. Which doesn't happen very often anymore, I pretty much stopped cooking all together. Faye's the one who made me think that I should start up again, she made me think I should start up a lot of things again," Jeremy took a deep breath slowly letting it out as he turned to grab silverware.
His eyes roamed over the bottle in her hands and made a face of contemplation, "Now would probably be better. I haven't eaten anything and already my stomach is trying to do gymnastics."
Jeremy tried to make light of how he was actually feeling, it would be better that way at least for him. He closed his eyes and used one hand to rub his temples, he was getting tired. Not just tired he felt like he was burning out. There wasn't much that he could do about it, other then sit back and wait for it to happen.

Natassia nodded her head and it wasn’t long before she found the coffee, grabbing the glass of water he had refused to drink earlier she emptied it, poured fresh water in it and added the coffee, stirring until it had dissolved, then added the lemon juice, making it a little more then she normally would because he looked like he’d need it.
Turning around he rose a brow at his actions, he looked drained, obviously things were worse then he was letting on, walking towards him she settled the glass in front of him before easing into his lap, ignoring the look he was giving her, instead she smiled at him and lifted her hands, fingers smoothing over the sides of his cheeks before they found his temples.
“Relax” She muttered gently applying pressure to them, before slowly massaging his temples, with a breath she pulled away, dark eyes sparkling, “Now drink that, it’s gonna taste nasty but trust me it works” Easing out of his lap she moved to sit opposite him.

Jeremy placed the silverware on the table and sat down in his chair as Natassia fixed her cure all. Any other day he would have been hovering over her shoulder trying to see what she put in the drink, but he just didn't feel up to it in the least.
He gave her a firm annoyed look as she slipped her minx like body into his lap, though her fingers were much appreciated as she rubbed his temples for him. His body relaxed into her fingers as they worked their magic on him, he just couldn't understand why she had to be on his lap to do it.
When she finally moved Jeremy looked at the mug and nodded slowly, "As long as it fixes it, I'm game. Drank plenty of disgusting cure all's in my life," he said picking up the mug and drinking from it.
It was better then the raw eggs and Tabasco sauce one of his friends had given him when he had a hangover when he was much younger. But the taste was all screwy, bitter and puckery it was pretty bad on the disgusting side of things.
"Okay that's pretty bad," Jeremy said with a shudder as he placed the mug down, "Not the worst I've ever had, but it's pretty bad."

Natassia laughed, “Well if we do these things to our body we gotta suffer for it” She laughed softly as she watched him, dark eyes roaming over her face, “My brother made me drink it after one of my younger binges, the taste alone makes me never want to get into the position where I gotta drink it”
She turned her gaze down to the food in front of her, before lifting concerned eyes to him, “How do you feel” She questioned as she picked up the first fork full of food, normally she didn’t eat things like this, inless she was eating out, which wasn’t as often as people thought, normally it was fast food, or smoothies that got her through the day.
Placing the food into her mouth she savoured the taste, a sigh escaping from her lips “Its good” She complimented once more, a smile tugging the corners of her lips as she watched him, before becoming silent, and concentrated on her food, she had been far to close to him and it had affected her more then she had thought it would.

"Yeah I said that the first time I had a hangover, funny how that hasn't actually stopped me yet," Jeremy said with a snort as he felt his stomach settle finally, "Well it works so now complaints here."
He picked up a bit of the food and flushed at her compliment, she must not have home cooked meals all to often if she thought this slapped together thing was good. It wasn't bad, didn't taste like his moms always had, but it was edible.
"My mom used to make this every Saturday when I was growing up. It was the only thing she could really make. Hers was always better but... I haven't had hers for a long while," Jeremy stopped himself from saying anything else.
He had to stop blabbering, he wouldn't let some client's daughter into his personal life. It was bad enough that she was sitting here eating the dinner that was supposed to be shared between him and Faye anyway. Jeremy swallowed hard as guilt churned in his gut, he should have done something, anything to stop Faye from walking out of his life. He was an idiot to think she would ever really love him, but he had hoped, and that was killing him.
