Hobbs' original plan was to just leave Brian and Mira alone for those 13 days, and not bother to talk to them. Getting a hold of Brian created too much of a mess anyway. However, being that this was his daughter involved, he couldn't help himself but to check in with her, atleast to make sure they had a plan, and to give her one last chance from the mistake she was making in his eyes. Once he made his way to the hospital and to the 2nd floor, he found her door and carefully but quickly opened it, maybe expecting a backlash from Mira. He found a curled up woman on the bed facing away from the door. "Mira?"

Hearing her father's voice made Mira stand and run to him. She wrapped her arms around him ignoring the pain in her ribs. "Daddy" She leaned her head against his chest and cried harder. It didn't matter that she was still mad at her dad, she needed his support right now, she felt so alone.

Expecting an unenthusiastic response from his daughter, Hobbs was pleasantly surprised by Mira's embrace, but also concerned, and dare he say, heartbroken, when he noticed her sobbing. If Brian had something to do with this, which he was pretty sure he did, he would kill him. Especially after giving him this chance. "Whats wrong, hun?" He asked in as gentle of a voice as he could do.

Mira gripped her dad's shirt as she trembled alittle. "I-I said....some things I shouldn't of...to Brian." She managed to choke out her words between sobs. "Now were in a big fight..." She leaned more against him.

The mention of Brian in Mira's words enraged Hobbs. Sure enough, that SOB had made his baby girl cry, whether it was his fault or not. "You can still come home and leave this all behind you." He stroked the back of her hair with his fingertips, realizing that may not have been the best thing to say at the moment, but he couldn't hide his desire for her to get back to the States...to safety. "You don't have to do this."

"I don 't have a place to call home anymore...I was pretty much living with him...." Mira looked up at him with her mismatched eyes. The same eyes as her mother had. "I can't daddy...moma used to tell me all the time you have to live your life with no surrender and no retreat... This is as much of my case as it Brian's." 'No Surrender, No Retreat' They were the words she always tried to live by. And they were the words that decorated her back, in black cursive letters, between her sholder blades. Reaching up, she dried some of the tears off her cheeks with the end of her shirt sleeve.

Even though Hobbs was really hoping she would give in to him, he couldn't help but be proud of his daughter's fighting spirit, the same spirit her mother had. "Yep, you were born to be a cop alright." Hobbs stated under his breathe. "I know you and Brian were working the case to find this guy, and I'm proud that you want to finish what you started. I never really trusted Brian, there was always something strange about that guy." Hobbs paused for a few moments and then took a breathe. "I never will hold you back from your goals, you know that. We can work this case together, then we can crack down on what is really going on here, and finish what you started." Hobbs met her eyes with his.

"So you are gonna help?" Mira moved over to the bed and sat down, her ribs hurting. And her heart but that was not something the doctors there could not help or fix. She missed Brian but she was still to upset to go after him. Maybe if she got lucky he would come back, but that wasn't likely.

Hobbs took a step back and leaned on the wall. "Well, it'd be a hell of a lot harder for you to do it yourself. Besides, the FBI has an obligation to find this Walter character anyway. I'd probably be on that case if it weren't for you guys going rouge." He chuckled a little.

Mira nodded. "Thank you daddy....Do you know what happened to Cole?" The poor kid, he had been pretty badly hurt in the crash and she was scared he didn't make it threw the night. She felt really guilty abiut Cole's injurys since she was the one who first asked him for help.

Hobbs had to think for a second to register who Mira was talking about. "Oh, the idiot who drove you off the cliff." He huffed. "I heard he had a surgery and is stable now, we'll probably just arrest him once he heals."

"No you're not." Mira layed down and pulled the blanket back over her body. "Cole is my friend... Practically my brother." she closed her eyes. "Dad could you go get Max and my kitten Sasha from my hotel room?" she felt bad for forgetting them.

Hobbs shook his head. "You really have that same stubborn attitude from your family. I'm going to atleast talk to him." He looked towards the door at Mira's request. "Alright, I'll be back soon." He got up and walked out the door with a wave to his daughter.

Mira tired to stay awake until her dad came back but she was to damn tired. The moment her eyes closed she fell asleep. As she slept her dreams, well more like nightmares, were filled with images from the crash, of Brian and that girl Mia, and of the night so long ago in miami on the cargo ship that started this mess. Needless to say she woke up screaming.

Hobbs got to Mira's hotel room and found a sleeping kitten on the bed and a german shepard that hustled over to him the moment he came in the door. As a nice surprise, the dog easily let Hobbs put a leash on him. After a few moments, he walked out of the hotel with the two animals and drove back to the hospital. Max was nicely behaved while the cat was panicking from the car ride. Eventually, Hobbs got to the hospital and walked in with Max and Sasha, who was still having a nervous breakdown. A receptionist confronted him about the animals, but Hobbs just gave her a stern look and carried on. Once he got to Mira's room, he could hear what sounded like her crying from outside her door. He sighed, shook his head, and walked in. Max immedietly ran to her bedside.

Mira sat up and wrapped her arms around Max, when the large dog jumped onto the bed. She hide her face against his fur as she tried to calm down. Tried being the key word. She was trembling like crazy. "Thanks daddy." her words were mumbled by Max's fur.
Max was not surprised by his human mom's reaction. He had been to places like this one before and small children greated him the same way. But what did surprise him was how scared his human was. And he had a good idea what human cause this fear. He knew he shouldn't have trusted his humans mate.

Hobbs set the cat down on a chair, but she quickly hopped off and started exploring the room, as cats always do. He watched Mira bury her head in Max's coat. He knew she was still having trouble with this situation, she was probably battling the decision she made. "Everything alright?"

What day is this? I'm afraid if I come back now Hobbs is going to kill me but I'll try anyway.
The night was long and sleepless because of their disagreement, Mira's harsh words and the fact that both she and Cole were in the hospital. It took him a lot to get over himself but finally he walked into the hospital again. Brian took a deep breath and decided to go see Cole first. To his unpleasant surprise Cole was gone and his bed occupied by another man. 'he's dead' was Brian's conclusion and his gutt dropped leaving him feel helpless and guilty. Terrified he rushed around until a nurse told him that the blonde had simply dissapeared and is far from dead. It was good that there was a chair nearby because Brian needed to sit down to process this information and realize that Cole had to be better than he thought.
Confused and worked up Brian made his way to Mira's room and knocked on the door hoping to find at least her. The sight that presented itself was not what he wanted to see but he stepped inside nevertheless. "Agent Hobbs." He walked up to Mira's bed with a stern look on his face. She looked sad, like she had just cried. "Mira, hey."

"No, nothing is alright anymore." Mira picked her head up off Max's neck and let the large dog lay in her lap. Her mismatched eyes widened in surprise when Brian walked threw the door and over to her bed. Her eyes once again filled with tears as she tired to choke out her words without breaking down. "What do you want? Shouldn't you be with you friend?" She put a little to much anger behind her words but she didn't care. She felt betrayed.

Hobbs held himself back when Brian suddenly entered the room. He gave him a cold look and settled down into a chair across the room. Mira's tone told Hobbs that she suddenly had something against Brian. He gave a blank expression and stared off into the room, listening intently to the two. Now maybe there wouldn't be anything holding him back from putting Brian away for the criminal he always was.
