If there would ever exist a time where Cole could escape with hardly a sound, today would be the day. He had a day to recover from Brian's appearance, and doctors were talking about taking all the breathing support tubes off, as if he had a made a speedy recovery. What if Cole beat them to it? He noticed his old street clothes were laying on a desk. He took of his tube and felt decent enough to get up and walk around without it. He carefully strolled over to the other side, grabbed his clothes and went back to his bed. It took him a few minutes, but he was able to get his street clothes on and then hide them with his hospital clothes. He put his mask back on to avoid suspicion from the nurses. Soon, one of the many nurses that attended him once in awhile checked in, and he saw his opportunity, since he thought it was probably unlikely she knew he was wanted. "Miss, Can I walk around the hallway by myself too stretch out? I'm pretty stiff." The nurse looked at the respirator machine and nodded. "Take this with you." Cole thanked her, stood up, grabbed the machine, and easily walked out onto the hallway. Now he just had to find an escape. An elevator was just a couple feet away. "Perfect." He thought. Checking to make sure no one was watching, he sneaked into the elevator and hit the ground floor button. Now he had just a few seconds to rip off his hospital stuff and look like a civilian. As the elevator shot down, he disconnected his mask, slide his gown off, and set everything on top of the machine. As the elevator reached the ground, he stepped right on out as if nothing was happening, and to sell it even better, he walked right out the front door. "That was too easy." He thought to himself. There were just so many people around that their was no way to keep track of them all, and he slide right through them. The outside air was so fresh, and a nice change from the musty hospitals. He figured his best bet was to get lost somewhere in between all these buildings until he had a better plan. His lungs still felt pretty tender, and to be honest he probably wasn't really in good shape to be running around outside. Being off the pain killers already was starting to take an effect, but it was nothing compared to his horrendous surgery experiance. He walked in between a few parking lots, people, and eventually business towers. He tried to think of someone he could contact that he could rely on. He pulled out his phone and wrote a message to Neela. "When it's convient, could you pick me up at the Microsoft building by the hospital? I'll explain later."

Neela had been a nervous wreck since that night at the race. She had heard very little from Cole, only that he had been in a crash and was in the hospital. When her phone started to ring she imidiatly grabbed it and read the message. "Thank god." She said to herself as she walked out the door, sending a message back to Cole. 'Be there in 15 minutes." she started her car and took off down the road.

Cole continued zig-zaging in between buildings to make sure no one could see him. By now, that nurse must've noticed him gone and was probably alerting the whole hospital about it. 15 minutes was probably too long, he'd have to hide by the Microsoft building until he saw Neela. He managed to find a few tall bushes to cover himself with, even though it was pretty tacky. Those 15 minutes seemed like 15 hours, and every 10 seconds he was checking over his shoulder for the sure sight of police, but luckily they weren't around...yet. Finally he saw that familiar blue RX-8. He emerged from the bushes and hustled over to the car and got in. "Thanks so much, now drive the hell out of here." He said under his breathe.

Neela looked at Cole when he got in her car. "Are you sure you are healthy enough to leave the hospital?" she pulled the RX-8 away from the curb and headed down the street, glancing at him every once in a while. He looked pretty beat up still, which made her nervous. "Where do you want me to take you?"

Cole took one more look around them to make sure no one saw him. He felt a little strain when he took in a breathe, which meant his lung probably still had some healing to do, but no time for worrying about that now. "I'll be fine, I have no choice anyway." He strapped himself into the Recaro seat of the RX-8. It felt good to be back in a performance car, even if he wasn't driving. "Remember your friend you were telling me about earlier? With the big garage? Now would probably be a good time to meet him."

Cole didn't know he could be this paranoid by anything, but he was literally checking the mirrors every 10 seconds for the police. Thankfully, it didn't look like anything was following them, and before too long he was starting to feel a little more confident that he had actually pulled off the escape. By himself too, for the most part anyway. A little while later, they stopped in front of a warehouse-like building that was conceded within some alleyways, sort of a creepy place actually. "Well this does look like a racers garage from the outside." He remarked. "Really appreciate your help Neela." They both got out of the car and he followed her into the shop. To say it was impressive would be an understatment, there were probably around a dozen cars in there, and they certainly weren't Hyundai's either. Suddenly, a glimmering black object caught Cole's eye in the corner of the shop, when he realized what it was, he almost passed out, the Koenigsegg CCXR. "That has to be it." He thought to himself, there are only 6 CCXR's in the world, odds were that car was the one.

Han was watching tv and enjoying a beer when he heard his shop door open, he stood up and saw Neela and some other american looking guy. "Here we go again." He thought to himself. "Neela, what did I tell you about bringing guys over for the night to my shop? Thats what your house is for." Once he got downstairs, he eyed the blonde over a little and then remembered something he heard about some blonde american kid setting the racing scene on fire with several wins in a row. Then Han noticed the kid was pretty interested in the CCXR over at the corner. "Pretty, isn't it?" He grinned at the american.

Neela rolled her eyes and tried to keep the blush from appearing on her cheeks. "He isn't in any shape to be doing anything like that Han, he was in a nasty accident." She walked over to Han leading Cole. "Han this is Cole, he is is alittle new to our racing scene but he is good...real good." She smiled as she watched them. They both loved cars and to race, so she hoped they would be able to get along.

Cole took his eyes off the CCXR and meet Neela's. "Way to make that awkward." He whispered with a smile. He then studied the japanese guy infront of him. "Very pretty for sure." He extended his hand towards him. "Pleasure to meet you, Han" He gazed around the shop a little more, slightly in awe. "This is one hell of a place you have here." He nodded. The expression Han was giving Cole was telling him that he needed to explain why in God's name he was here. "I'm a racer from the states, my group and I split up, so I need a place to store my cars for atleast a little while. As well as a place I can change tranny fluid when needed." He laughed. "Her and I have known each other for a long time, so she suggested I ask you first."

"Accident, huh? We've all had our share of those." He shook Cole's hand. "You must be that american I heard about a few days ago. They say you can drive, unlike most tourists." He laughed. Finding an actual talented american driver in Japan was like finding sushi at burger king. Han thought Cole seemed fairly unsuspicious, and if he was friends with Neela, then that eased his concern. "I've got some space over there." He motioned over to the corner opposite from the CCXR. "Tell me, what exactly brings you to Japan from the U.S?"

Neela held back a sigh of relief. Things were going well it seemed. So she decided to walk up into the loft and get something to drink. "He is an amazing driver, Han. He is the one who got me inti racing back in the stares." She took a drink of her soda and leaned on the loft's railing looking down at them.

A little pain was starting to flare up in Cole's left lung, which he tried to not make obvious to those around him. At this rate, he was going to be out of the drivers seat for awhile. He did his best to put his attention back on Han. "The heat was getting too high on me in the U.S, so a couple "friends" and I came here since we heard this was the place to be for the best competition. Trouble is, that I don't have faith in those "friends" anymore, and I think it's best for me to get out of that situation." He did his best explaining things to Han, without giving anything away, especially the significance of that CCXR. "Appreciate the space, Han. I've got a GT-R and an S15, so they shouldn't be eyesores in here." He smiled. Cole looked up at Neela and nodded 'thanks' for her support.

Han listened closely to the young man, his story was damn close to his own. "Yeah, I've been in your shoes before, but look at me now." He laughed. Han looked over towards the railing as Neela spoke, she seemed very confident in Cole's ability, and then she said that Cole was the one that got her involved. That was very impressive to Han, Neela was a very good driver herself, that must mean that Cole was a damn near professional. "Maybe I can get some sort of payment in driving, eh?" He smirked at Cole. He then turned around and walked over to his RX-7. "I have to go pick up my mechanic. Neela can show you around." He got in his car, started it, and drove out of the garage. Hopefully he wasn't making a mistake trusting this kid, but what were the odds of something going wrong here anyway?

"When I'm healthy enough, I'd love to." Cole responded to the thought of him racing for Han. He watched Han drive off in that weird looking RX-7 and then took another look at the CCXR. Was that really the car? Eh, he'd worry about that later. Cole starting climbing the stairs up to the balcony slowly so he wouldn't increase his breathing too much. He grabbed a sprite out of the frig and stood next to Neela. "Did you see what happened in my accident? Wouldn't surprise me if it was on the news."

When Cole walked over to her, Neela turned so she was facing him. "Yeah I did, it was on the news." Her eyes met his. "I can honestly say I can't remember a time when I was as worried about someone as I was about you when I saw that wreck." A light pink blush spread acrossed her cheek. "How are you feeling?"

Cole smiled and wrapped his arm around her back in a quick 'side hug.' "That's sweet." Once again he felt that same emotion from that night at the coffee shop...alright, he had to admit it, he had a crush on his friend now. He sighed a little at his condition, far from preferable. "I feel...like crap." He stated. "But atleast I'm not still in the hospital, or surgical center." He shuddered at the thought, what a nightmare that was.

Neela held back a blush when Cole had hugged her. Why was she feeling like this around him? They were never like this in the U.S. "You should sit down and rest." She was really worried about him. Maybe she should have tried to get him to go back to the hospital, the doctors and nurses there could care for him better then anyone else.

"Yeah probably." He went over to the sofa at the end of the balcony and sank into it. "I'm not as bad as I look." He said when he noticed Neela's concerned look. His eyes wondered over back to that CCXR, now he thought would be a good time to ask about it. "Do you know anything about that Koenigsegg?"

"Don't lie to me Cole." Neela walked over and brushed his hair back from his face. It took her a minute to realize what she was doing but when she did she pulled her hand back and mumbled "Sorry." A blush was on her cheeks as she looked at the CCXR. "Han just bought it from some american."

Cole let a small laugh out. "What do you have to be sorry about?" He grinned and returned the contact to Neela in a playful way. "Now we're even." He laughed again. He was thinking a little too much about her to catch her words about the ccxr right away. "Wait, an American?" That pretty much confirmed the ccxr was one of the cars. Now what? He certainly didn't want to say anything to upset Neela about this.
