Finally, Cole had a day off that was just to himself...at least he hoped it was to himself. Never knew with the Mafia. He further contemplated the last few days about if and how he was going to start his garage. He currently rented a fairly nice house in the northern suburbs of L.A, but he would intend on moving into this garage permanently if he were to so do it.
Knowing the Brian and Mira have had struggles getting a job, and that both of them were handy with tools, he decided he'd talk to them about starting something together, Brian specifically. Not to mention, he recently heard about the new addition to the family, so he figured he should swing by to give his congrats.
He drove his Silvia to Jack's house, assuming that's were they still resided, and stopped right in front of the old shack. Every time he looked at it, he wondered how anyone could live here. He strolled up to the front door and put a few knocks on it.

"Shut up." Brian commanded the door but the damn door wouldn't stop knocking and tearing him out of the little sleep he finally got after being awake for what seemed to be three days straight. "What?" He finally hollered assuming it was Jack but then he remembered that Jack had gone away for a few days. When the knocking didn't stop he rolled off the couch in his boxers only and want to the door just to find an unexpected visitor there: Cole. "Wow, you're still alive." Brian commented ruffling his own hair. "What bring's you here, man?" He jawned loudly but with waiting went back inside leaving the door open for Cole.

Cole stood leaning on the door frame until it opened up, when it finally did, he saw an exhausted Brian. "What's up brutha." He looked used up from the last few days, but he wasn't surprised, he would be too if his girlfriend was having a kid.
"You're surprised?" He grinned and did a little head shake. "I just figured I'd stop by and say my condolences...err...congrats on the new family member." He joked, on a more serious tone he added. "And I have some business to discuss with you."

Brian scratched his head first, then his sack while he listened to Cole. "How do you know already?" It had only been a few hours. "Babies is the right word." He turned around leaning forward and showed Cole two fingers. "Two as in twins." He stated the obvious. He crossed his arms waiting for a reaction on that bit of news and completely forgot about whatever business Cole wanted to talk about because he was still too tired. He did note Coles slightly changed wardrobe, that consisted of nicer, expensive clothes and a phat watch. Obviously his 'job' paid off' and there weren't any bruises on the kid, at least not on any visible parts of his body.

"I was in the hospital just recently, asking about getting treated for my lung issues. Found out Mira was there, I could only assume." He shrugged. Having kids was something he really hoped would never happen to him...at least not now. All he had to look at was how screwed Brian was now that he was a father and had legal issues to confirm that.
"Twins?!" He let out a low whistle. "Have fun with that." He did a little eyebrow raise and then crossed his arms. "Anyway, get some pants on, we're going out in public."

"Are you kidding me?" Brian objected but could see how serious Cole was. He needed to get his act cleaned up anyway so her lifted his index finger. One coffee, then we go. With that he went into the kitchen to boil some water. "Still have lung problems? I'm sorry to hear that. " he cringed because he felt somewhat responsible. The lungs brought back bad memories. "Coffee for you? Where are we going anyway?" He wondered while he poured the water straight over the coffee pad in his cup.

"Nope, chop chop." He smiled at his reluctant friend. "I'm good on coffee, just had some." He remembered back to his recent meeting with Faye.
"Yeah, its not as bad as it could be, I just want to be good to go in case of an endurance race or something." He shrugged. "I still feel it every now and then."
"We're going to the Automall." He smiled.

Very untypical for Brian he raised his hands to his head and ran his fingers through his hair. "The Automall, oh why, Cole? I have much better things to do like...sleep....or get my life sorted out."
he shot Cole a pityful look. "C'mon, if I go there it'll only cause more trouble...what do you want there anyway?" Of course his interest was already there. Cole just needed to explain a little more.

Cole chuckled a little, he was hoping the word automall would cheer up Brian...but it didn't. "It'll be worth it, trust me." He persuaded. "Besides, by the tone of your voice it sounds like you need to get out and have a little fun."
"You'll see soon enough, now get your pants on."

"You won't leave before I do, will you?" Brian knitted his brow but eventually pushed himself up and told Cole to wait a few minutes.
Upstairs he took a quick shower that but some energy back in his bones and slipped a fresh shirt and jeans on. With still wet hair but more color to his face he returned and shoved his phone and wallett in his pocket. "All set. Let's have some fun."
On their way to the car he asked. "Are you going to let me in on why we're going there? new project or do you just have too much cash now?" It surprised Brian that Cole didn't mind being seen with him in public, considering his former job.

"That would defeat the whole point." He smirked as he watched Brian run upstairs. A few looks at the house around him showed that this place if anything had gotten even worse than when he lived here for those few days. He would be surprised if the roof didn't have a ton of leaks. Rough place to hold out, but maybe that's what the O'Conners were used to.
Brian came back looking half way decent and with a noticeably better attitude. "Lets ride." He rolled off his tongue and dug the keys out of his pocket. "I've got some extra cash, let's just leave it at that." He grinned and stepped into the silvia.
On the way there, he decided now would be a decent time to ask something rather serious, as well as take care of one of the primary issues he needed to talk about with Brian. "So listen, earlier I was visited by this lady who calls herself Faye, she claims she knows you. That name familiar?" He glanced over at Brian.

So there was a deeper meaning to Coles visit than just pleasure but why would Faye visit him. Irritated Brian looked over at the guy behind the wheel and stated. "Yeah, I do. But what does she want from you?" Was Faye doing research on Brian or did she have alterior motives. As they drove Brian had a question as well. "So if you say you have spare money i take it you're still winning those races and are still on the mobs good graces? Right? Or any trouble? I'm serious, let me know if you are in trouble."

Brian's tone came off a bit harsh to him, but he decided to spill out what happened anyway. "She said she was working to free Dominic Toretto off the mob's leash. Apparently he was "helped" out of jail by my boss, so she wanted a name. I just wanted to make sure she was legit." He shrugged. He believed Brian knew Dom pretty dang well at one point, so he expected a bit of a reaction from that.
"For now, yes. I just played it conservative and only race people that I've seen are all show and no go, they tend to have some of the deepest pockets anyway. Stephano and I have gotten along alright, but he's taken a disliking to Manako for some reason, not sure why." He went silent for a moment. "I can hold my own weight Brian, the only thing I'm concerned about is people like yourself getting your feet in quicksand by trying to parent me."

So Mia had gotten involved with the mob to get Dom free. "That's why Mia was at that restaurant. Damn." he cursed when he slowly pieced the picture together. "I should have stopped her." Then again Dom would still be in jail. These news were aweful. "I'm not sure that he wouldn't be better off in prison." Brian bit his lip. "Faye should keep her fingers away from that. Listen, Cole. Faye is a very good hearted girl. You have to make sure that she doesn't get mixed up with your boss because unlike you I don't think she can hold her own and care so little about her future." In regards to his other statement Brian's gaze darkened. "You made your point clear. I'll just stand back when they drop you off the pier if that's what you want, superman." Cole's attitude and the feeling of being invincible pissed Brian off. Didn't he know what happened to ALL mob puppets sooner or later?

"Exactly." He nodded. He tried to remember the attitude and expression Stephano had that night when talking to Mia, but he couldn't piece together the memory clearly. "Knowing my boss, I have to agree with you." Cole stated and frowned. "I tried to make my points clear to her, but she was so damn stubborn. I could've told her that she'd be shot on site and she still would've persisted." He sighed. Hopefully she's given herself some time to think it over." Though he wasn't optimistic she had. He could tell Brian's fuse was lit with his previous tone, so calmly he added. "Look, I know how I'm walking on some really thin ice here. Maybe I should've done this a little differently, but you gotta hear me out. If anything were to happen to you, Mira, or anyone else for that matter because of my own decision, it would be much worse for me than getting thrown off a pier."
Within a few minutes they reached the dealership district of northern L.A. Both normal import, domestic, and exotic dealers were present. He made a right hand turn first into the Subaru dealership.

At first Brian thought nothing could change his mood but he should have known that a bunch of shiny fenders would quickly change that. He straightened up from his slouching position in Coles passengers seat and looked out the window at Coles first choice. Subaru. "So you have too much money on your hands, you say?" He started to smile while he got out and let his gaze roam around when an over eager sales person headed towards them. "Good morning, gentleman. How can I make your day better?" "If you safe us you sales pitch." Brian commented dryly while checking out the latest WRX Sti on the lot. To Cole he said. "This or an EVO, what would be your choice?"

"Just a little." He made a slight smirk and got out of the silvia once they parked. "There's a reason I stopped at the Subi dealership." He playfully nudged Brian, hinting to something.
"Evo, just cause I used to have one." He smiled as the typical salesman stepped out to hound them like they always do, but fortunately he had pre-determined plans. "Could I see Michael? He's got a car waiting for me." He said to him. The salesman let out a frustrated sigh and went back in the building, moments later, Michael stepped out and greeted them.
"Hey Mike, you got the car ready?" Cole asked. Michael nodded and led them to the back of the dealership, where recently purchased cars were prepared for their new owners. "Hope you still like blue." He muttered to Brian as they walked to the back.
"Here she is." Michael stopped at a brand new blue WRX STI, it was fully loaded with the trademark gold STI wheels. "All the paperwork is done, Mr. Peyton. She's all yours." Michael said handing him the keys.
Cole waved him off and motioned to Brian next to him. "His car." Cole stated with a bit of a grin. Michael shrugged and then out-streched the keys to Brian.

"Evo, I knew it. What are we doing here then?" Brian asked before 'mike' approached them and showed them around the back where a few new cars were waiting for their future owners. Brian had a sneaking suspicion that was enhanced by Cole's 'hope you still like blue'. Yet he didn't dare to voice his hopes. Brian had been without a car ever since that unfortunate incident that almost cost him his freedom. he'd never get used to it though. "What do you mean?" he questioned Cole. Only when his friend made the dealer hand the keys to the ex-cop did he understand what was going on. "You gotta be kidding me." Brian's eyes grew wide. Under any other circumstances he would have given back the keys but he knew how much cash his buddy made by racing to the mobb. 30 grand more or less in his pocket didn't matter all that much when Brian could barely afford his coffee in the morning. His eyes started to sparkle when he dashed around the car, ducking down, inspecting the rims and then jumped up in the air cheering loudly. "Hell yeah, Cole. Blue is still my color!" He was about to open the door when he came back and gave the guy a big hug. "Oh man, thank you so much. I can't believe it." he ran his hands through his hair and looked at his brand spanking new car again. Without warning he grabbed Coles head and placed a wet smooch on his cheek. "I love you man. Now get it!" A second later he was in the driver seat turning the key to his new freedom.

"Dead serious bro." Cole had to smile as Brian ran around the Subi, acting a little childish around his new car. It was one of the few time he had seen Brian authentically happy, especially in recent times, and that alone made Cole happy.
He didn't exactly appreciate the violation of his cheek, as it was rather unexpected, but he just laughed it off. "Blehhh, dude...control yourself." He chuckled as he wiped it off.
He got in the passenger side of the STI and looked forward. There was a Lamborghini dealer across the street, and a shining black spectacle parked out front caught his eye. Oh god, he knew this was maybe a bad idea. His old childhood dreams suddenly could be a reality. "Hey, you wanna stop at that Lambo dealer there?" He pointed, eyes trained on that black Gallardo LP-550 sitting in the front.

Brian was almost too excited to pay attention to anything else. His hands were investigating various buttons on the dashboard when Cole addressed the other dealership. His eyes wandered over there and for a moment he thought Cole was going to buy him another car. "You're not giving me two cars, are you?" He joked but then said. "I would do anything for you right now and looking and outragously expensive cars that you can actually afford is not exactly on my shirt list. "
Carefully, as if it was a precious gem, he turned the key in the ignition and just carefully pressed down on the gas before actually slipping the gear in a driving off the loat. "Og, I love how she purrs."
