BayLeigh smiled as she sat back in her car. She watched Cole and Brian talking just a few feet from her. She was surprised Brian wanted a race, but at the same time she wasn't. She shut her laptop down, now that all her readings were right. If after talking to Cole he still wants to race she'd do it.

Cole leaned foward. "Hey I'm not saying you'll lose, I'm just saying you better drive a damn good race." Cole backed up again. "I haven't actually seen her drive, I've just heard a lot of talk. She seems to know what she's doing though." Cole thought for a few moments, he wondered why Brian had waited so long to race. He had already won two, maybe Brian was distracted with something.

"I can't back out now anyway." brian admitted but a plan was forming in his head. If he lost to her people would think he wasn't any serious competition. Brian would win or loose the odd race and when the right kind of car combined with a stupid driver came along he'd offer his slip. "Let's see how this is going to turn out." He slipped his arm out of the sling, that already made him look like a looser anyway, pulled it over his head and handed it to Cole. "There, hold this, darling." Then he knocked on the girls window again and asked. "So what's it going to be? I'm new here. 500 mabye?"

Cole rolled his eyes and took Brian's sling. "You're crazy sometimes, man." Cole shook his head and walked back a few steps, as if to leave Brian and Bayleigh alone. "This will be fun to watch." He thought to himself.

BayLeigh looked up and saw Brian and Cole were done. She opened her door and got out. "500? If thats what you want to do. I don't usually do small ones, but since you're new I'll take it." She smiled as she nodded to the guy who was just talking to her about the Z. She told him about Brian and handed the guy the amount in Japanese Yen, even though she knew he'd have American bills most likely. She thought for a moment then nodded at Cole. "Hey Cole, I found your car by the way. I'm picking it up tomorrow once I get a truck off Nissans lot." She figured he'd heard her.

Cole had been drinking a refreshing Dr. Pepper when Bayleigh said she found an S15. He choked from the surprise of her statement. "How *coughcough* did you find *cough* an S15 that *cough* fast?" Cole managed to get out.

BayLeigh laughed as she watched Cole. "You're not the only fan of them, I have been looking for one for a while. I happen to find one a few cities over, I just have to go get it and check it out, make sure everythings good." She smiled, "Plus, I kinda bumped it up as a high priority at work, that way I can get it soon. When ever your ready for it she'll be at my house ready."

"I usually don't do that little buy in as well but I'm pretty broke right now." Brian admitted and was thankful he took the offer. "Just don't crush me too badly, okay?" An evil smirk was playing on his lips. If Brian had one bad character trait it was surely his huge ego when it came to driving and the mouth that came with it.
With interest he heard that Cole had put in an order for another car already and wondered where he got the cash from. He placed his hand on Cole's shoulder and clapped it. "Now watch how it's done." He pushed him aside to walk over to his car and got in. First he warmed up the engine, then secretly wished the Skyline was equipped with some extra boost. The car would have to do the way it was. He wriggled his fingers and twisted his right hand before he placed it on the wheel. Using a rubber hand would be no different as it had just as much feeling. This could be a problem, especially since he hadn't used that hand since Mira decided to blow a hole in his shoulder and destroy half of the nerves in his arm. At least the stick was on the left side. The other problem could be driVing on the other side of the road in case they went onto public roads today. When he was ready he pulled up next to the brunette and her challenger and waved Cole over to his window. "Is it simply up and down or around the block as well?"

Cole nodded at Bayleigh in thanks.
Cole didn't know the answer a whole lot better than Brian did. "Well the one-on-one race I did was out through the garage, a couple miles around the garage, and then back to this exact spot. The four car race is a 10 mile run through the countryside. It all depends on what the race organizer wants you to run." He patted Brian's door. "Take care of that shoulder and good luck." Cole knew Brian had about a 20% chance to win that race given the circumstances. The thing was though, that he didn't really care. Either way one of his friends waws going to win. Besides, he was expecting Brian to come to him for moeny sooner or later.

"Thanks, bro." Brian rolled up the window but then stopped mid way. "Can you get a hold of Mira? She probably wants to know where we are." He then closed it and rolled to the start line, where he revved his engine a little just for the fun of it. He watched a barely dressed Asian girl get ready to start the race. Some things just didn't change. A look to the right side confirmed that the other guy was ready to race as well. Only the woman was missing now.

BayLeigh got in her car and cranked it. Since it was just on for some of the readings it was already warmed up. She shook her head and nodded at the people who were telling her she had this, and good luck and things. She pulled up next to Brian and the other guy in the Z. She grabbed the GPS from the race organizer and hooked it up. The race was only 5 miles or so, the GPS was set up to have you go straight about 2 miles down there would be a right hand turn, and then down another two miles, with another right hand turn, which would then take you back to the garage.
She revved up her car a bit, glad she brought the R34 this time instead of the Z. She did like to show off her car sometimes, and it seems tonight would be it. She had this race, she kept telling her self.

The GPS held a few surprises for Brian. The pleasant one was that there wasn#t a lot of drifting and turning, which was good for Brian and his limp arm. The unpleasant surprise was that the race would be on open roads during evening traffic which was simply unheard of. "Am I interpreting this right?" He asked the guy who handed him the device. "Are we racing in traffic? What about cops?" Suddenly he wasn't overly confident any more but it was too late to back out so he gripped the wheel tightly, held the clutch down and waited for the famous flag to come down. When it did he gave as much gas as he could without loosing grip and shot off the line together with the others.

BayLeigh laughed as she heard Brian, she knew these roads were going to be pretty empty, since they were behind the garage instead of on the main road. She stayed quiet though and waited for the flag, then took off with the other two cars. She watched the Z as it started to fall behind. She glanced at the GPS and kept an eye on Brian as she continued driving. She shifted into the next gear a few times, getting her speed up. She waited for the turn.

As they shot up the ramps from the underground garage Brian instantly knew that this was a bad idea and he'd have a hard time keeping up with the girl, whose name he didn't even know. In the garage he had to turn a lot and slipped from the steering wheel once with his right hand, which caused him to come way too far to the outside of the curve and gave the Z an opportunity to pass him. Of course his anger was sparked and made him kick up his game. So as soon as they shot out of the garage and the gps was calmly telling him to turn left and then go straight for half a quarter mile Brian shifted down making the needle on his rpms shoot up and the Nissan launch forward passed the Z. The lady wasn't as easy to catch though but at least he stayed glued to her bumper until the gps indicated that he should turn right now.

BayLeigh watched Brian and the Z in her rearview mirror. She continued shifting when needed until it came time to turn. At the turn she let go and grabbed the ebrake, sliding into the turn. Once in it she continued on the accelerator until the other turn came. Sbe watched as Brian stayed close to her. She had to make this turn just right, then she could pick up speed and leave him behind as the garage entrance comes into view. She prepared for the turn, hoping she blocked him from passing her. The Z was far behind now, she just had Brian, and if she lost to him she'd be pissed.

Brian tried to pass her on the first turn but she was too close to the sidewalk. His bumper connected slightly with hers. Even though the power of his Skyline would have sufficed to pass her he didn't but fell back and hit the gas as he came around to the other side. A glance in the rear view mirror confirmed that the Z wouldn't be catching up to them any more. Unfortunately that glance was just one tiny bit too long for Tokyos streets. The next turn came faster than expected. Out of mere reaction Brian tried to pass her on the inside but forgot about the fact that they were supposed to be driving on the left side of the road. Suddenly he found himself staring into two oncoming headlights. To avoid a full on collision he swirfed onto the sidewalk. Unfortunately the driver of the small Honda coming towards him tried to swirf out of his way as well and went into the other lane where Bayleigh was.

BayLeigh groaned as she watched Brian then saw the on coming car swerve. She grabbed the wheel and got on the side walk next to her, highly upset that she had to hit a few things with her car. She stayed on the gas passing the car and merging back onto the road, she glanced to see if Brian was back behind her. The garage came into view and she smiled, she needed to get into the entrance before him, then she needed to have a word with him about making her drive on the sidewalk, this was why she didn't bring the R34 out a lot. She felt like crying knowing there were some scratches on the car, hopefully no dents.

Since the road on his side was clear now Briansped off the sidewalk while a few pedestrians down the road were screaming bloody murder. Out of the corner of his eye he saw his competition knock over a few signs and trash cans. In the meantime the Z has caught up with them and Brian could practically feel the smile on the guys face. If nothing changed it would be a three way tie. The garage entrance would determine the rest. As they sped towards it and his competition didn't back off Brian muttered 'shit'. One of them would hit the wall for sure which simply wasn't healthy at this speed.

BayLeigh watched as the two caught up to her, she had to cut them off in order to get into the garage, if not her R34, the car she worked the hardest on, would be crushed. She hit the gas a little more, debating using any nos. As she watched her speed climb up much higher than usual she looked for an opening, cutting off the Z to get into the garage. She watched as it slowed down from hitting the brakes so it didn't hit her. She smiled as the Z owner started slamming his hands on his steering wheel, probably yelling profanities in Japanese to her.

The girls car put out so much power that Brian had a hard time keeping up. She was a nose length ahead. Within a split second Brian had to decide whether to take the chance an see if she's chicken out and break or risk that one of them would be sliding into the wall. Usually he would hit the gas and see what happens but for some reason tonight he eased off the gas and gave her a look through the side window for the blink of an eye. A moment later he entered the garage glued to her bumper. Two more levels and the race would be over.
