The conversation kept on going between her brother and Brian. She left the almost Brian´s question unanswered as the ex-cop talked about Cole feeling invincible after he decided to mix with the mob and to be honest she didn’t know the kid´s reason to get involved with Stephano, she knew her “uncle” wasn´t a man to play games.
“Well, Cole is wrong, he has no idea what he´s getting himself into,” Did she know what SHE was getting herself into too? It was hard to keep her mouth shut, remembering the argument she had with Cole not only that but Stephano saw their fight outside the ´Luna Azure´.
A favor like releasing Dom didn’t come free just because he (Stephano) was a part of her family. It was only a matter of days before she knew something about Stephano. Mia knew the man really well and now it all made sense, that Japanese old guy that came to talk to Cole, that day at the “Luna Azure” Cole wasn’t the only one but another younger Japanese guy was with him too. All the information finally sinking in.
“A favor doesn´t come free at all…” looking at Dom. It sucked, now that he helped Mia free Dom it was no Stephano´s turn to ask for their help, she didn’t know when or how.

What Dom didn't really understand was why the mob decided to get this involved in street racing. There were no fortunes to be made from it, at least by their standards, and cops would inevitably be all over them eventually. It wasn't a discreet business.
"I'm free because of them." He spilled to Brian. "My release was Stephano's making." He looked down at his plate as if showing regret. "He's going to want something from me, I need to find out what that will be."

Even though Brian had expected something of that sort Dom's sudden revelation still caught him off guard and he stopped chewing and eyed his friend as if he'd just grown a third eye. When he regained his composure he nodded. "I figured there was something fishy going on when you were simply 'released'. I cannot imagine who that man must have under his controll when he can get you a pardon....or whatever it was." Secretly he wondered whether anybody would do that sort of thing if he really wound up in prison. Not likely. "Whatever that favour will be, it won't be small, it won't be legal but you will definetly find out...whether you want it or not."
His gaze shifted to Mia, who didn't look like this was news to her. "Is that what you did at the Italian restaurant?" He rubbed both hands over his face because he could not imagine a worse deal than the one these two made. "I doubt you'll ever see the inside of a prison again...not even if things go wrong. But I understand why you did it. You were supposed to be free anyway." Secretly Brian wished that whatever favour this was Dom would not tell him about it because he could not say no to him.

Now Brian knew why was she inside that place. Whatever Stephano decided to do or in this case ask for that favor than she was more than willing to help her brother, she wasn´t going to lose him again. She didn´t flinch when she saw Brian´s reaction, they all knew how the mob worked but it was not mandatory for Brian to stay with Dom and help him out.
She finished eating and leaned on her chair looking at Dom. "Whatever that favor might be... you know I´ll always be by your side. You are NOT going back to jail..."

Dom stood in silence and took a few more forkfuls as Brian went through the same stuff he'd heard too many times. Big favor, illegal, going to be called on at anytime now. Sometimes he didn't understand himself why he'd gave it so much concern without even knowing what this job will be, maybe it wouldn't be as groundbreaking as he thinks it'll be. But that anticipation was still wearing him down.
"Prison is not want I'm concerned about." Dom said subtly. "The guy spent a ridiculous amount of money to get me out, the last thing he's going to do is put me back in." Dom set his fork down and leaned back in his chair for minute, eyeing Brian especially. "The reason I'm asking about their involvement with the streets is because that would be the best way for me to get them back. Some driving or racing favor would be the easiest thing to do. That way I could propose a deal to them. You said they got that one kid driving for them..." He said rather thoughtfully.

"Prison is not want I'm concerned about." He heard Dom say. He never thought he'd hear him say those words. Dom had hated Lompoc so much that he would have done anything not to go back there. For a moment Brian's thoughts went back to the trial and the fact that he still was not free, nor had he been sentenced. What if he had to go to jail. He could only vagely imagine how cruel it would be. If Dom almost broke in there Brian wouldn't survive.
Brian only vagely heard Dom talk about street racing and snapped out of it just to turn his eyes back on Dom. "What... oh, well that'd be too easy, I think. Plus he has Cole. The kid is really good and wins him all the races he wants. If he'd used you for driving, it would probably to bring drugs across the border or something." His gaze shifted to Mia, who was constantly getting caught up in her brothers problems even though she was you model citizen. "Did you have to promise anything as well?"

Her brother wasn´t concerned about jail still she couldn´t help but feel a little nervous as she heard Dom and Brian exchange a few words. It didn´t matter how good Cole was winning races for Stephano... bottom line the kid was working for the guy if Cole made one wrong move....
She was brought back to the present when she heard Brian´s voice. She shook her head, she didn´t promise a thing to Dieseli, they just had to wait to hear from Stephano... her plate still had some food in it... she slowly push it, her apettie going away in a second.

Dom could never imagine himself racing for somebody else, let alone mafia. He ran his own show himself, that's all he knew, and that's how it was going to stay. "I'd never race for the guy, but there's a lot more I could do for his purpose on the streets beside that." Dom could barely even hear himself right now, since when was he ever one to lay down to "authority," any authority? Family, that's what it did it, he had a sinking feeling of who would be the one to pay equally as much as him if things went south. With a little force in his fork, he took another chunk of the ossobucco and pondered if going to Stephano with a deal of his own was even a good idea. "Making any kind of deal on my end to him isn't smart any way." He decided, thinking of how mob bosses work. "We'll just have to see what's what."

Brian watched Mia's worried expression while she pushed her plate away. It was easy to tell she didn't like the situation they were in now but she had made that choice. "So you wouldn't race but do his dirty work? I think racing would be the only reasonable thing that bastard could as from you." He heard Dom talk about the possibility to approach the mob himself. "Just do me a favor and don't do anything illegal for him...I mean as little illegal as possible. Otherwise you'll be back in prison faster than you know." He swallowed another bite then wiped his mouth on a napkin. With a look at Mia he added. "Change of topic? What are you working these days?"

She knew both of them were aware of her worried expression. She stood up taking the plate with her to the sink and eyed the keys of Dom´s car, she could really use some fresh air.
It was impossible for Dom not to do something illegal, she was more than sure in no time her brother was going to work for Stephano. "I´d really love to stay and chat but I really need to get out and get some fresh air," taking the keys in her hand.
"I´ll be back in a little bit," she walked out of the house and entered the car not knowing where she was going to go and take that fresh air.

Dom almost had to laugh at Brian's 'request.' "Organized crime is what the mob is, Brian." He looked back down at the table and then briefly at Mia when she stood. He could tell she was still pretty uneasy about Brian's presence, the whole time she was tense. He hoped there would come a day that peace would be restored between the two.
His eyes followed Mia as she went outside and soon the house shook a little as his charger started. Dom sighed and shook his head. "Man, you really broke her heart."

The conversation was making Mia so uncomfortable that she up and left..or was it Brianäs presence. He wasn't quite sure but regretted seeing her leave after she actually invited him in for dinner, which could at least rekindle their friendship. Now that she was on her way out he could only offer a weak smile and say. "See you, Mia."
Then he turned his attention on Dom. "I know the guy will be asking something of you that will either land you in prison on six feet under. Does it make sense to tell you to pack you stuff and leave the country?" He watched the bald mans expression for a bit, then placed his fork down and said. "Okay, you know what? I'm always there for you if you need help. Call me."

Dom contemplated Brian's words, he knew Brian was right, there would be no easy street out of this. But he wanted to face down the challenge in front of him, not back away from it. "I ain't running Brian, you know that." He said eyeing him. "I'm gonna take what he gives me and live through it to see the end." That was his personal vendetta, he felt the urge to get on with it and move on to the next chapter.
"I appreciate that Brian, but this is between me and Stephano." With that he rose from the table and walked back out to the garage.

Even before Dom answered Brian knew that he was neither going to run nor would he let Brian, who had a family now, in on the job, which he was quite thankful for. A job for the mob was the last thing that Brian wanted to he simply nodded and muttered 'okay' before finishing his meal.
Both Mia and Dom had gone to do their own business now so Brian was contemplating whether he should simply leave or stick around to help with the car.
He briefly checked his phone for messages from Mira, decided to do the dishes as a favor for Mia and then made his way to the garage where he found Dom. "When do you want me to come back and start working?" He wondered when Dom's cell phone started ringing....
Merges with the mob thread....
