Even his job was anything but normal Sam lead a pretty standard life when he wasn't 'working'. Like any other person he had to do his shopping at the Grocery Store, went to the mall every now and then or enjoyed a day out on the beach. Since he hadn't heard or seen anything new of Jack O'Conner Same decided to try and relax by going to the beach. He pulled into one of the many parking spots a street away from the beach and put a few coins in the machine. Dressed in shorts, a shirt and sandals he was ready to go to the beach but not before he grabbed a cup of Coffee at the Starbucks across the street. The line up was long but worth the wait. When it was his turn he let his eyes scan the 'menu' overhead and decided to try one of the special offers. "Ice Cappucino. Large." He ordered and pulled out his wallet.

She didn´t want to leave the house but she knew Brian needed to be alone to cool down and to think things through, the day was hot so instead of getting in the house to get a new fresh set of clothes, she always carried one set in her large tote bag. The sound of the Charger rumble through the streets, she smiled as she saw the waves of the sea crash and after parking shegot out and entered the Starbucks across the street to change her jeans to a dress, underneath she wore a two piece bikini just in case she decided to get in the water. After getting out of the bathroom and buying a small iced white chocolate mocha she walked straight to the beach and placed a towel in the sand, she sat down with her phone in her hands. Letting the sound of the sea relax her trouble mind.

"Looks like we appreciate the same drink." Sam felt the sand between his toes when he took a few steps closer to the stunning brunette that was also holding a Starbucks cup in her hand while she was getting ready to enjoy the beach.
At first he wasn't sure about approaching her because he recogised the woman from Stephanos place right away. But then Sam got too curious and decided to just have a little chat if she agreed.
Removing his sunglasses he offered her a brief smile and asked. "May I sit down here?" Of course his move was pretty bold even if he wasn't interested in her in any other way than a conversation. Yet he felt the need to qualify: "Feel free to send me down the beach with my coffee if you'd rather enjoy the sun by yourself." While he was waiting for her answer he had already observed the length of her body from her sandals to the dress with a bikini underneath and the long, dark flowing hair to her dark eyes hidden behind just as dark shades. The bag on the floor with a towel with small pink dots inside and a Sony phone in her hands. Sam was a master at memorizing details withing seconds.

She turned at the sound of his voice, a small smile appeared on her lips. "Hey, Sam.." she greeted him remebering his name and following his actions removing her sunglasses. She then motion for him to sit, "Yes you may," she chuckled at his last words.
If he wanted to kill her, he would´ve already done it, remembering the little chat Dom and Stephano had. "Now, why would I do that?" referring to his lasts words. Just because the man was good looking and had a charm, it didn´t mean he wasn´t dangerous, another person would´ve run away from him knowing his background and what he was currently doing but she didn´t feel the need to do that.

Her smile was small but there and she didn't ask him to move on but to sit down so Sam took it as a good sign and lowered himself into the warm sand next to her. Taking a quick drink of his coffee he motioned for hers and asked. "Cappuchino?" Then he turned his eyes on the glistening waves. Some people were dipping their feet in but the water was too cold at this time of the year for an actual long swim. At least for most people. Mia looked like she might use her bikini not only for suntanning. "You're actually going to swim." He stated rather than asked and then turned his green eyes back on her shielding them from the bright sunlight. A question burnt on his mind that he couldn't ask 'what on earth were you doing at the mobsters house?' so instead he asked. "What are you doing when you don't hang out at the man's house?"

"White chocolate mocha," she answered taking a quick sip of the delicious drink in her hands. She look up whe she heard the squealing of the people turning into laughter withing seconds the moment their skin came in contact with the cold water of the sea.
"Probably," wincing as she saw the people trembling once they stepped out of the sea. "When I have free time I spend it here or helping out my brother," Speaking of her brother she checked her phone to see if she received a message from him, but there was nothing.
"What do you do when you´re not at Stephano´s house?" she had an idea of what he did. She could just go straight to the point and start questioning him about her uncle´s words to kill Jack. What scare her a little was that Brian could be at danger... that his kids could be at danger, but she played it cool with Sam.

Sam watched every little move she made as she sipped on her mocha and then watched the people in the water. So she had a brother, that she was close to. Every detail was stored safely in the back of his mind just like always when he met somebody new. Just like he memorized all the details about Jack O'Conner. "What does your brother do?" He enquired before she asked him about his own occupation. Musing about what to say he took another sip and ran his hand over his shaved head, which was something he always did when he was thinking. "I'm not working if that's what you're asking. But I visit my mother or see friends. I like the beach, too." Again he scanned the beach for familiar faces or anything out of the ordinary. "I've lived here for three years and never seen you before. What a coincidence that we should meet twice in a day."

She skipped the question about his brother because she didn´t want to go into detail, plus she didn´t know how to answer his question, and to risk the life of his brother, there was no way she was going to answer that. "So, you´re not working? That´s weird because that small talk you had with my uncle and the way he slapped you, I´m more than sure you forgot to do one of his jobs, and we both know what he does for a living..." he couldn´t lie anymore about him not working.
"Perhaps, it is more than a coincidence... maybe it's time you speak with the truth," she looked directly at him, she was stepping into dangerous territory, there was not a whole lot of people in the beach at the moment, and her car was far away, plus if she tried to run she might not even reach her car before he got to her... she was screwed although it was strange to explain it but something about this guy... and she was determined to find out.

Sam pressed his lips together a slight bit when he had been caught with the lie. He hadn't even intended to lie in the first place but her words were hard and bang on. He averted his gaze with a slight smile and nodded. "Right, the slap." It had been embarassing back then but even more so now that he was talking to this pretty woman. "That's not what I meant." Coming back up to meet her eyes he added. "I meant a real job, office job, you know." He neglected to answer to her implication.
Her dark orbs were no pinned on him broing imaginary holes into his forehead. For a moment Sam wondered whether her uncle had sent her to feel him out. "If this is no coincidence I'm guessing you should be the one spilling the bean, not me...because I've been coming to this coffee place for over a year on a regular basis. "Has your uncle sent you to check on me?" His eyes narrowed. "There are more subtle ways, you know." He still wasn't entirely sure whether to see her as a threat or a seduction. This woman was dangerous and he'd be on high alert around her.

"You do know what I´m talking about, Sam" She fired back when he mentioned about spilling the beans.
"Of course not," she answered through gritted teeth to his question about her being sent by Stephano. "If he sent me to check on you, you´d already be dead..." she paused for a moment and then continued to talk.
"You and I both know how Stephano works, you ask for a favor, he helps you but there´s always a prize to pay...What´s yours?" she really hoped he´d stop playing around so she could understand better the whole Jack thing.

Mia was pressing a little too hard for Sam to be comfortable. Inwardly he tightened up but on the outside nothing changed. She was asking too many questions and too directly. Still giving her a slight smile he answered. "Mia, it's Mia, isn't it? You look like a nice girl. I wouldn't want you to get hurt so you should stop asking questions about your uncles business." This was a standard answer he would have given anybody but he also knew it wouldn't satisfy her. So he sighed and added. "We both know I can't tell you anything. I like my head on my shoulders." For a moment he wondered whether this was a test but even if it wasn't he wouldn't give up any information...to nobody.

She scoffed and wasn´t satisfy with his answer. “Don´t worry, I will figure it out myself,” she took a last sip of her drink.
It was a very risky move for her to do but remember how Sam mention about visiting his friends and also his mother… only one way to find out. “I just hope your mother isn´t involved in all of this, it would be a shame to have my uncle kill her. Don´t you think?”
“I will ask you one more time, Sam… what is this business you have with my uncle?” In a million years she never thought she would find herself in this type of situation, she could always walk away but instead kept pushing him to speak, if Sam spilled the beans he could help her and her brother… and if she was sure about his mother then she will find a way to protect his mother just as Sam would do the same for her brother and probably Jack too.

When Mia siad she'd figure it out herself Sam almost thought he was off the hook but then her expression hardened and she tired to put pressure on him by mentioning his mother. Sam truly didn't appreciate the tone of her voice. So he purposely looked away and fixed his gaze on the ocean but still his temper didn't come through. It would if she kept going like this. "Does your uncle know that you're asking all these questions?" He then lowered his voice in a more threatening way. "Give it up, Mia. I'm getting the impression joining you here wasn't the best of ideas. Eventually he slowly turned his head towards her again but his expression had changed to his 'business look' which was much less open and nice. "Why are you so interested in this thing?"

She shook her head as he started to ask her questions, but she couldn´t help to glare as his voice lowered and he spoke in a more threatening way to her. “Your threats do not scare me, Sam and certainly walking away is not going to solve the problem…” She took a deep breath “When you decided to tell me what you were doing back there with my uncle then I´ll let you know why I am so interested in it, but I can guarantee you I am not the only interested, am I?” “Say ´Hi´ to your mother for me, please?” she started to gather her stuff, she kept pushing him and crossed the line, but she had to find out Sam´s job at the moment with Stephano.

Sam wasn't going to negotiate with Mia. She had nothing to offer him other than a pretty face and her threads were empty yet insulting to him. Even if he wanted to tell her something he couldn't. "I don't appreciate being threatened. By nobody, even if the person is as pretty as you are. If Stephano wanted you to know, I'm assuming you'd know." He also got up and brushed the sand off his shorts. Soon the neutral look returned to his face. "Too bad our conversation had to take this turn." He admitted with a hint of regret and slid his sunglasses back on the bridge of his nose. Then he turned around and walked away down the beach.
OOC: That went well ;-) The guy looks like such a kid and he's almost 40 haha.

She smirked as his words and let him go his own way, who could she call to help her dig up some information on Sam Ward? What if she called Brian? No..no he had a lot going on, maybe talk to her brother once he came back from following Jack. "Time for Plan B" she thought, she took her purse and took a moment to observed Sam. "You want to play dirty, Sam?" she whispered to herself as if the words were going to reach her ears. So he had a mother... she hurried to the Charger and sped up to her house, if Brian was still there she might ask for his help. "Game on," OOC: I was expecting more of an agressive reaction not to the point of hurting her but she did crossed a line by mentioning his mother... & I am still debating if Mia should come across or contact Brian for help OR to get in touch with Faye to help Mia find some info on this guy

Sam didn't look back at her one moment. Instead he drank the rest of his coffee and cursed himself for even trying to have a civil conversation with a woman. Admittedly he had chosen a woman, who had a uncle that promised danger and trouble.
He made a mental note to keep his eyes and ears open in regards to Mia and do a little digging himself about her family and friends to have something against her if she continued to threaten him.
-- At home he pulled out his laptop and went onto a website, which was regular meeting point for ex-cops, private investigators and even FBI operatives. For at least two hours he search for information about Mia, came up with her last name, location and her brother. Because he got stuck there since her history was squeaky clean he put in a search request on extended family, relationships and friends. Somebody had to know something and if you were willing to pay for it you never had to wait long.
He then turned on the TV and made himself some dinner . At just before midnight when he had fallen asleep on the couch his alarm clock went off to remind him to check the board. And boy, oh boy was he ever surprised to see her ex-boyfriends last name: O'Conner. "Interesting, Mia. I wonder whether Uncle Stephano knows that."
