What was with Sam and always tying him to chairs or the like? Annoyed with this whole situation, Jack inconspicuously moved his hands against the zip cuffs lashed around his wrists, seeking some kind of weak point that he could exploit later, clenching his teeth when the thin, hard plastic bit into his skin, chaffing it's top layer raw. Clearly his comfort was not at the top of Sam's priorities right now; any chance to Houdini his way out of these zip cuffs seemed to be close to none existent. On top of that, thanks to all the commotion, his injured hand had started bleeding again; he could see his blood was slowly soaking through the bandages, staining the headrest. Fucking awesome...After a long, uncomfortable and mostly silent ride, the transporter finally reached the deep sea port of Lázaro Cárdenas, which was well known in the underworld for it's high crime rates, low security levels and corruption. If you needed anything illegally exported or imported, this was the place to be... "Better remove these cuffs if you don't want the cap to sail without us. He won't do business with anyone but me," Jack mumbled. The captain most likely wouldn't be thrilled regardless, having a third unknown and unexpected face on his ship, but with the right amount of money, anyone could be convinced (bought) in this country.

The ride was silent and field with anger an frustration. At one time Brian demanded to know whether his children were okay, which was the top priority for him. "They are in good hands, trust me." Sam smirked but Brian wasn't satisfied with the answer, especially because it came from the guy who had cut his brothers fingers off. "Can you proof it?" "I don't have to." Sam stated coldly indicating the two guns in his belt.
For a while they remained silent but even Brian could see that jack's hand had started bleeding again. A little nervous he cast a glance at his brother, who seemed oblivious to it all...at least on the outside.
At the docks Sam cut both brothers loose but made sure to they knew not to mess with him. "One call and those kids are dead and your fingers gone for good. In case yous till want them back." In the younger brothers case Sam felt some sort of satisfaction while the older brother had simply become a casuality on the way...or would soon.
The captain of the boat was an older fellow with a long beard and blue captains hat, who looked like he never slept. "Papers, please...and who's this?"
For a moment Brian eyed the other for an easy explanation when he suddenly came up with. "Just a guy who needs a ride home after a long vacation down here." "Does this guy have a passport?" Sam nodded but didn't show it to the owner of the vessel. Instead he pulled out a bank note and said. "Does it look like me?" "Sure does." The old man said and waved at the guys, who were loading the containers. "You're importing Mecixan fabrics, right?" He didn't even bother to wait for their answer, that could only be a lie. "Just to let you know. If my partners tell me that we're getting checked, I'll dump you Mexican fabrics."
One by one the men were boarding the vessel. Having Sam in front of him for a change Brian used the opportunity to quickly dial Mia's number and simply leave the line open. Maybe they could use a little bit of backup.
"How long until we're at the docks in LA?" He enquired.

**** Two days and she heard nothing of Sam. The good thing is that the babies were doing fine, a few dark circles under her eyes started to form but all that matter to her at the moment was the well being of those babies in her care. She held the baby girl in her arms waiting for the little one to finish her bottle and started to walk around the room with the baby in her arms.
She went back to bed and took a moment to take long look at the little girl, those blue eyes and nose were definitely Brian´s, the baby´s lips were Mira´s but other than that it was like looking at Brian in girl version. She removed the bottle from the baby who was now falling asleep in her arms and kept rocking her back and forth until she was asleep, carefully placing her next to her little brother.
Her phone started to ring and she immediately move out of the hotel room to answer the call afraid the twins were going to wake up making it harder for her to put them back to sleep. She looked at her phone and answered. “Brian…what…” she immediately shut her mouth as she heard Brian´s voice asking questions to someone.

Jack showed the captain his papers, and silently watched when the old man addressed Sam next. Normally he would have done the talking, but exhaustion combined with the rising pain in his right hand seemed to have slowed down his ability to think on his feet. Thankfully though, Brian handled it for him.
The captain looked wearily between the three men as he took the hush money from Sam. If push came to shove, those 'Mexican fabrics' wouldn't be the only thing he'd be dumping off his ship. Something about these three just didn't feel right...
"You'll be bunking in cabin 12B. Keep your noses clean and we'll have no trouble," the captain said once they were on deck, then he shouted some orders to some of his crew members before he headed for the bridge.
Jack leaned his forearms on the ship's railing while he watched one of the workers drive their van full of cocaine into a container, preparing it for transport before the container was lifted onto the freighter by a large crane. He was so close to succeeding now; shame Sam was here to fuck it all up.
"If all goes smoothly, and we don't bump into any eager custom patrols, we'll arrive at the Los Angeles harbor at around 1 am... 1:30 am at the latest." Despite his face not showing even the smallest hint of the worries that were currently plaguing his mind, Jack made no eye contact with Brian when he answered his brother's question. Sam had told him he'd only have 24 hours (if he was lucky enough, anyway) before his fingers would truly be a lost cause. If they'd arrive on schedule, it would leave him with one and half to two hours tops to find a fucking brilliant doctor, or else...
...yeah, that was not a happy thought.
Soon, a low rumble vibrated through the railing Jack was leaning on, indicating that the ship's engines had started and that they'd be leaving the port any second now.
"I'm gonna go get some shut eye, if that's alright with you, princess" he asked Sam, though he didn't care nor wait for an answer as he pushed passed to make his way to the cabins. Wasn't like he could go anywhere else or escape now that they were on the ship, now could he? Not unless he wanted to swim his way back to LA.

When the container was finally loaded and the engine of the vessel came to life Brian relaxed a bit. If no customs check would get in the way the chances of seeing his kids again were pretty good...at least that's what he kept telling himself. He shot a glance over at the guy who was holding them hostage trying to judge him. He looked like your average Joe except for the shaved the and the constantly scanning eyes that now fell on Brian. For a moment he held the man's gaze but then averted his eyes and turned around to lean his forearms against the railing just like Jack, who was looking a little pale. Brian's gaze fell on the blood soaked bandage on his right hand. Under his breath he muttered. "You'll be okay." Why on earth he still had these 'big brother' feelings he didn't know but he simply couldn't shake them.
The docks were soon out of sight and nothing but blue waves ahead. It wouldn't take very long for the sun to go down judging by the dark red streaks across the sky. "Red sky night..." Brian mumbled before he followed Jack to the cabin. The phone line was still open...hopefully and hopefully there was somebody at the other end of the line, who knew what to do with it.
When Jack announced that he'd go and get some sleep Sam wasn't far behind. He put his foot in the cabin door before Jack could throw it closed and entered behind the brothers. "I believe this is my cabin as well."
He sat down on a bunk across from the younger brother and demonstratively placed his gun on the pillow next to him.
For a moment he just kept his eyes on him completely disregarding Brian, who was leaning with his back against the wall. "Why did you have to make it so hard? Why drag your brother into this? It could have been much easier." He held up his hand with only three fingers in the air.
"Why don't you save us all the talk?" Brian growled at him from across the room with his eyes on the gun. In his mind a plan was forming...once he had his children back....

The line was still open, bit and pieces of information were given. She recognized Brian and Jack´s voice, and now Sam too. For a moment she could barely hear Brian´s voice the sound of a door being open was heard, Sam´s voice was loud and clear followed by Brian´s angry one. "What the hell are you doing, Brian?" she whispered walking back to her room approaching to the phone. She dialed the only phone she knew and waited for him to answer. "Dom... listen to me..." letting him konw what she heard so far. "Don´t worry about me... I´m fine.." ending the call not giving him a chance to question her. She started to pace back and forth in the small room a sign of how nervous she was, cell phone in her hand not knowing what Sam was going to do next.

Patience was something Dom was quite familiar with, and usually had as well. But when hours ticked by and he heard nothing from anyone, Brian, Jack, or even Mia, he was out of patience. He believe there was something he could and should do, but exactly what that was and what the wrong move would be he wasn't exactly sure.
It came as a great relief to him when his phone finally buzzed with Mia's caller ID. He picked up and simply listened at his sister's command. Before he could unleash his slew of questions, like where the hell she was, the line was dead. Probably for a good reason. Immediately after the call, he checked the time and and got himself cleaned up. He was going to be at that dock when they showed up. If they didn't have a plan, he did.

'Why did you have to make it so hard? Why drag your brother into this? It could have been much easier.'
When Sam sat on the bunk across from him and raised his hand with his thumb and index finger folded against the palm, anger flashed through Jack's eyes for a moment. If it weren't for the by now once again throbbing pain in his hand and the threat of a loaded gun, he would have already lunged forward to punch that sly smirk off of Sam's face, but as it were, he managed to remain outwardly calm. It wouldn't help anyone if he got himself shot now, now would it?
"Nothing comes easy in this world, Sam. Not for you. Not for me. And it wasn't me who dragged my brother into this." Leaning back on his bunk, he stretched his legs out in front of him and made himself seem comfortable. Thank god that he'd practically invented the art of not showing what he was really feeling. It was almost scary; how easy it was to pull a lazy smile onto his lips and a coldness to his eyes despite the guilt he felt towards his brother. He'd never meant for Brian to get dragged into this mess, let alone his niece and nephew. Still, as much as he'd want to, he couldn't change that anymore...
Jack clenched his jaws while he briefly glanced at his brother. Maybe when they all made it out of this alive, he would remember not to be so selfish, to be a better little brother than he was being at the moment. Maybe Brian would even be able to forgive him for this some day, but until then...
"If you're done flapping your trap, I wouldn't mind getting some sleep," he mumbled, already closing his eyes while he leaned his head back against the wall behind him. After all, this trip was going to take a couple of hours; he could use the rest.
...Especially if some stunt needed to be pulled to get out of this shit once they'd hit American soil again...
(OOC: Ready to approach the harbor, brah. I left that to you in case there's anything planned.)

The exchange between Sam and Jack was scarz to watch. Here they were in a small room with a man, who most likely killed a few people, took Jacks fingers and Brian’s kids hostage. Yet Jack didn’t have a problem talking back to him or show any sign of remorse. He was either a really good actor or a really big asshole. Maybe both Brian thought to himself while he kept a close eye on Sams gun.
When Jack actually had the audacity to dose off Brian sat down on the bunk rubbing his head and told Sam. “I’m not going to sleep so you’d better not try anything.
The two brothers couldn’t have been more different. One reluctant with one or two feet on the wrong side of the law while the other was concerned, worried and trying to play by the book. Sam despised Jacks attitude despite his own choice of profession.
So when Jack fell asleep he turned his eyes on Brian. While his expression never changed he told him. “I get the feeling that your brother might try something. Make sure he doesn’t and I promise you your children back..unharmed.” He didn’t need to proof his words. Brian would just have to believe him.
Then he focussed on his phone, texted somebody and soon received a message with a picture of the children one awake, one sleeping. He held it up for Brian to see while covering the sender with his thumb. “Satisfied? Keep your brother under control.”
Brian didn’t answer but he knew Sam was right. Jack would try something…whatever it was and he wouldn’t let Sam walk away just like that either…if only he knew whether Dom and Hobbs were successful in taking down Stephano. A glance at his watch told him that the race had to be starting any minute. Trying to come off as cool as Jack he lied down without answering Sam and pretended to snooze but never stopped listening.
Three hours went by without any occurance. Of course Sam was wide awake the whole time. He was trained to stay awake for three days if he had to. This was easy. He didn’t even need coffee for it.
The captain finally announced over the loudspeakers that the were approaching the harbour in half an hour and should get ready.
The shipmates on board were now getting busy and Brian rolled out of the bunk to have a look.
“How do we get the truck through customs here?” “You won’t.” Sam interrupted them. As soon as the container is unloaded you’ll hand me the keys and leave everything up to me. Our guy at the harbour will take care of the shipment. Once he’s cleared it Jack will hand it back to the boss. Then we’re in business.”
In the distance the lights of the coast were slowly coming into view still looking like small blinking lights dancing on the waves.
OOC: Who is going to be waiting at the harbor other than Dom and Mia? Dom is still supposed to get rid of Jack, right?

Once she was sure those three weren´t killilng each other she ended the call, just a few seconds later her phone buzz announcing she had a message, she wish she knew why Sam was asking her to take a picture of the twins. She took a deep breath, not liking one bit what he was asking her to do but at the end she followed Sam´s instructions and took a quick picture at the sleeping twins hitting the "send" button. She was starting to get more nerves, it was just a matter of minutes before Brian and the others were at the harbor. Same thing for her brother... but when was Sam going to let her give those twins back?

A black charger sat in the shadows of a few rusty shipping crates overlooking the main portal for the harbor. Activity was rather desolate, which meant Dom would have a good view of any docking ships. Inside the charger, the radio stationed selected advertised breaking news about a firefight between police and a suspected drug cartel in the west of town. Dom knew immediately who the "drug cartel" really were. The broadcaster also mentioned a car chase that ended in a fiery blaze and a group of street racers speeding through town. Well, the plan was in action, it wasn't quiet at all, but it was in action no less.
Several times Dom was tempted to place a call to Cole to see if he heard anything about how successful Hobbs was at Dieseli's capture. Cole apparently beat him to though, as his phone suddenly vibrated and showed the kid's number. "Talk to me." Dom commanded as he opened the line. Cole went to say Hobbs had Stephano, but the rest of the bust has been utter chaos, and that he himself was running from what he thought were mafia vehicles. Police and SWAT teams were engaged in heavy gunfights, there were casualties on both sides, civilians had been caught in the crossfire, it was a tragic mess. Upon the knowledge of their leader, the mafia had taken extra incentive to wipe out those that apposed them, whether it was out of revenge or out of hope that they would free Stephano, would probably never be known.
Dom sighed as he hung up and rubbed his neck. He hoped to god the guy on board with Brian and Jack didn't know about this.
OOC: Probably no one, since the mob is in total chaos right now...

As soon as the lights of the harbor came into view Sam could feel a slight tingling sensation in his fingertips. No more, no less, but a clear sign that adrenalin was starting to curse through his body. For now in moderation but soon enough there would be a a rush. To prepare for the actual drop off Sam double checked his favourite Beretta, made sure his other gun was safely stored in his ankle holster as well as a hunting knife. "Get up." He ordered Jack. "And get the papers ready." In his mind he was going through his plan once more. Customs was the easy part with the right person in place, who would take care of the papers. It would be more difficult to actually give the load to Stephano or Rhina and then do whatever they asked with Jack, Brian and the kids. Sam was trying was prepare for possibly putting a bullett in everybody but he still had his reservations, especially when it came to the innocent. Something inside of him didn't even allow the thought. His face turned into a frown for the first time during this ride. Usually he wore it like a mask but right now he was getting messed up by his feelings which simply shouldn't happen. Again his eyes darted to Jack, whom he blamed for Brian and the babies involvement. Standing on the reiling Sam waited with the brothers for the ship to slowly come into the harbor, the engines roared a little less loud when they approached the docks. Instantly Sams weary eyes searched for Stephanos black BMW or one of his other cars but couldn't spot it.

It was morning. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and the soft sounds of a lawnmower being pushed outside floated in through the half-open screen door. He could already smell the soft dew of the flowers lining the house next door, their pungent odor gliding through the house as if to battle the not-so-nice scents that lurked in the other rooms. On the bed next to him, a blonde beauty was smiling at him, enticing him with her eyes as her hand softly traced over his skin and...
...fuck, it was only a dream.
Jack was pretty sure he'd only dosed off for a minute, but things had clearly changed when something had him opening his eyes. The moonlight had shifted across the cabin, the shadows were deeper than before, and... Sam was standing over him.
Jesus Christ, now there was a sight that instantly brought him back to reality.
"Aye, aye, captain," was his sullen response as he pushed himself off the bunk, checking his back pocket for the crumpled up documents before he followed his brother and Sam out onto the deck. All around them, crewmen were preparing the freighter for docking, which meant it would only take a few more minutes before they'd have solid ground under their feet again, a few more minutes before the very last window of doing something would close. The only problem with that was, Sam still had Brian's kids...
His eyes searched the mostly deserted harbor for any sign of Dieseli or one of his men, but he quickly came up with nothing. No one was waiting for them. Did this mean the bust was a success? or was he just getting his hopes up...
"I thought Dieseli was big on punctuality. Where's the welcoming party?" he asked, inconspicuously glancing at the gun hidden underneath Sam's shirt. All he'd need was one opportunity.

Good point. Jack was absolutely right about one thing. There would be a welcoming party if a truck load of 'goods' was coming in. Irritated Sam scanned the harbor again but all he could see in the dark were dancing lights on the water, a few parked cars, an array of colorful containers and a few workers on the docks. No men in fine suits smoking big cigars and collecting big money. With a frown Sam turn his back on the Port and leaned against the railing while he pushed speed dial on the phone. Instead of the mailbox he got a message that the phone was out of service so he tired Rhina instead of her father and left a message. "I'm at the docks with a shipload. Waiting for instructions what to do with it." Needless to say that those instructions would also include what to do with the brothers. Flipping his phone close he turned his attention back on Jack. "Don't you worry. You won't have to take it back." It was Sam's way of mocking the pityful thief. The vibration beneath their feat and a scraping metallic noise gave away that the ship had docked. Instantly shipmates were walking off, securing the large vessel and started unloading. Cranes came into play and it took a while until the container with the truck was ready. As soon as it was their turn Sam made sure he handed the papers to the right guy, who put his stamps on them without even looking over the details. "Welcome and enjoy your stay here." The officer said when he handed the slips back to Sam who nodded and assured him that he would. With Jack and Brian still in tow he drove the truck out of the container to get away from the docks and other customs agents. Only a few large warehouses further down Sam stopped and killed the engine before he once again checked his phone. Again he tried to call with the same results so he decided to call the shots himself. Focussing on the very nervous older brother he told him. "I keep my word. I told you you'd get your kids back once we have the shipment back. Walk down to the very last warehouse and I'll get my partner to hand them to you down there." Brian's eyes narrowed because he didn't trust the guy one bit. Which kidnapper hands back his hostage that easily. "How do I know you're not bluffing?" He demand to know in an icy tone that could have frozen over the bay. "You don't." Sam replied equally cold. To proof his intentions he held up the phone. Again he placed a call and told the person on the other end. "It's time for the kids to come and see daddy. Bring them to the ware house at the north end of the dock, that says Meyers. 15 minutes." To the ex cop who didn't seem to beleive him he commanded. "Start walking if you want them back." Brian's hand was already on the door handle when he faced the hired killer again. Brian knew he was pushing his luck when he asked. "What about my brother?"

A few hours later her phone went off again, she answered listening to his words "Ok," she manage to say ending the call and taking the twins with her to the car. Driving to the dock was the hardest thing for her to do, her hands wouldn´t stop shaking, she was nervous, scared. How could she face Brian? Could he understand? Was he even going to listen to her? She hesitated as the car approach the dock, in the distance she could see just one person approaching to her...as she got closer she noticed it was none other than Brian, the tears clouded her vision as she stop the car. She wanted to run, she wished in that instant Brian didn´t know her so the guilt that was eating at her inside wouldn´t affect her that much. She got out of the car and took them out in the same basket Sam gave them to her. She took a few steps towards Brian. "I am so sorry Brian...I can explain..." but the way he looked at her said it all.

"What about my brother?"
Any other time, Jack might have expressed his amazement at how stupid Brian could be sometimes, though with Sam present, those words never left his mouth. Jesus Christ, didn't Brian want his kids back? He'd long since known his brother had a strong sense of duty to protect towards him. Ever since they were young, Brian's personal safety had always gone out the window whenever his little brother was in trouble, but this was just ridiculous. They weren't kids anymore, and Sam wasn't just some bully from school looking to beat him up...
"Just go, Brian. I can handle myself." Jack kept looking straight ahead, eyes fixed now on Sam while he waited for Brian to move his ass out of the van.
There were a few beats of silence before Brian finally seemed to resign. Jack could practically feel the weight of certain doom pressing down on him when the van's door opened, then closed, signifying that is was now or never to make a move before Sam could. With cat like reflexes, his right arm wrapped around Sam's throat from behind, trapping him against his seat while the barrel of Sam's own gun pressed against the man's left temple. Somewhere between getting off of the freighter and getting in the van, Jack had managed to swipe the Beretta unnoticed from Sam.
Sleight of hand. Who said I didn't have any talents, eh?
"Nice piece you got here, Sammy. Military?" he asked, though he didn't bother to wait for an answer. "So, since Dieseli appears to be a no-show, mind telling me where you're keeping my fingers before I put your lights out?" The soft, yet distinct click of the safety being thumbed off emphasized his words while his hold around Sam's throat tightened a bit. Jack had never ended someone's life before, but he would if it meant keeping his own. Not to mention, this fucker had been the bane of his existence for far too long now. It was time that was going to change.
"You really should have held on to your ace a little longer, sweetheart."

Dom would've placed any bet that the ship rolling into the harbor was THE ship. He was as nervous as he'd ever been in his life, yet the fact there was not even a sign of a mobster in the area was confusing to him. He would've thought that with all this mess over Stephano's shipment, the man would be more than enthusiastic to collect the items himself...not to mention confront the man who took it.
A few minutes of waiting and watching produced what he'd been looking for, a rather suspect beat up van driving quickly away from the ship. He kept his eyes on the van, trying his damnest to see who was inside. He got an answer soon enough, as Brian suddenly stepped and began a hasty walk towards another set of crates to Dom's left. Making a quick decision to follow him, Dom jumped out the charger and walked within the shadows of the cranes and crates towards Brian.
The walk took some time, and now they were a far ways away from any activity back at the dock. Dom wondered if this had to do with some sort of exchange, why else would Brian be walking this far? The next thing he saw made him freeze right in his tracks. Mia, his sister, stepped out of her car and grabbed the twins from the backseat...
She had them? Mia?? What?!?! There wasn't anyway she could be in on Sam's deal....right?
No, of course not, he knew her better than that. He sat back in the shadows for a moment, letting the two have their initial conversation as he was sure Brian would be lost for words. Soon enough though, he quickly approached Mia's car and took a concerned look at the twins before glancing at either of them, making sure they were healthy. "I wouldn't have expected you to be the deliverer." Dom said with a raised brow, though it sounded much more like an observation than a question.

To choose between his children and his brothers safety was one of the hardest decisions Brian had to make but ultimately it had to be done. Jack had brought this upon himself and dragged the babies in it. They were innocent and helpless and Brian couldn't split himself in half. Never taking his eyes of Jack he stepped back from the van. His heart felt heavy as a rock even though he should have been relieved to soon hold his kids again. Yet he knew Jack would have to defend himself against an armed guy. He heard his brother urge him on to leave so he turned around, closed his eyes and started walking making a silent vow to come back as soon as he had the babies...if it wasn't too late.
At first with hesitant steps but soon pikcing up his pace to a jog, then run he closed the dostance to the other warehouse.
When he got there a car was already parked. A familiar car and the person stepping out was even more familiar. Long dark hair, petit figure...Mia. Her presence confused Brian and even more the fact that she pulled two car seats out of her car. Brian's eyes search for another person before he step up to her. "What's going on, Mia? I don't understand." Instinctively he reached for the handles of the baby seats and set them down to check whether they were fine. They were. Straigthening up again Brian looked at her. His confusion had already changed into hurt in his blue eyes when he heard heavy footsteps against the tarmac behind him just to see Dom. Did he know about this? Were they both working for their uncle now? Had they been forced to do this to secure Doms freedom. "Whose side are you both on?" He said through gritted teeth never taking his eyes of either one of them.

Of course the cop would know something was up when Sam made him walk the rest of the distance to the exchange point but at least his brother was smart enough to tell him to leave. Bad conscience most likely. For one brief moment he watched Brian move away from the vehicle when all of a sudden the roles were reversed. Who knew how this good for nothing got his hands on Sams gun but it was now pointed straight at his temple while he was getting choked by his arm. Instinctively Sam struggled against the tight grip to be able to breath but only succeeded partially when the grip loosen a little but the gun stayed where it was. The all too familar 'click' gave away that the gloves or in this case the safety was off. Judging by what Sam had done to the guy he was pretty sure that he could pull the trigger. But the hire thug still had a little bit of leverage. "You'll never get them back if you kill me." He choked out.
the much needed distraction came from one second to the next in the form a the loud howling of an engine approaching at maximum speed. Like a deer in the headlight he stared at the front lights for a split second but then Sam's slipped down and his hand reached for Jack's hands to divert the aim of the gun elsewhere.
By now not only the coast guards had been alarmed of some fishy activities near their post but also was one of Stephanos best 'men' on the way to collect what was his.

She shook her head. "No! Dom has nothing to do with this..." she pause for a moment. "Sam came to me and- and just gave me your children, I couldn´t say no, I couldn´t call you or Dom," she eyed the sleeping babies turning to her brother.
"I had no choice, Dom..." Brian and Dom shared a shock, confused look in their eyes. Could they understand? How could she show them she had no saying in all of this... Would they believe her? The hurt in Brian´s eyes was something she noticed when he approach her to take the kids. "I´m sorry..." she deliver the words looking straight at Brian. She could say that word a million times...
