So the last few months have been very active for us (yay!). We have some new players on board now, and the site is really starting to fill out now. Therefore it is time for an update...
Currently taken canons:
Brian O'Conner
Dominic Toretto
Mia Toretto
Letty Ortiz (finally)
Leon Perez
Agent Hobbs (though he is up for adoption, PM me if you're interested)
All other canons are available (even dead ones, Han, Gisele, etc), we're especially in need of a Han, Vince, and I personally would love to see a Roman Pearce
And now for what has recently gone down:
As mentioned in the last update, Jack O'Conner (Brian's younger brother) was in hot water with the California mafia for screwing them over on a drug deal. He stole a shipment worth several millions of dollars and did his best to vanish. It didn't work, and the mob called for his death. In an attempt to get them off his back, Brian and Jack both traveled to Mexico to retrieve the drugs Jack had in "storage." A representative from the mafia, Sam Ward, followed them into Mexico and to the location of the drugs. A conflict ensued once they were at the place, and Sam got away with the drugs and Brian and Jack in his custody. Sam managed to get them on a cargo ship heading for a southern California docking port. At the docks, Dominic Toretto along with Cole Peyton waited as they received word of the O'Conner's less than preferred method of arrival.
During this time, Agent Hobbs had worked briefly with Cole Peyton along with a few others to stage a crackdown of this same mafia (You may recall from previous updates that Cole drove in high stakes street races under the mob's wager's and bets, thus essentially working for them). Cole had been called by the mob to participate in a race across the city with millions of dollars on the line, winner take all. The location of the starting point was a close kept secret as most of the upper hierarchy of the mafia would be there, but Cole tipped off Hobbs/police on where the location would be. Hobbs and his men filed in shortly after the race started and captured many of the leadership involved. The boss himself, Stephano Dieseli, was killed in a car crash as he tried to escape capture. The race went on, and Cole barely won it, but since there was no mob there to collect the winnings, Cole took all 18 million dollars of it himself. Remnants of the gang are still after him for the money, but because of all the turmoil, he thinks he's safe...
This brings us back to the docks, Dom called Cole over to the docks right after the race ended. Because of the sudden trouble with the authorities, the disorganization within the mob left Sam without much support, and the O'Conners took advantage to escape his grasp. Bullets were fired, vans were wrecked, and eventually the police showed up. This turned into a deadly three way game of hide and seek. Sam ended up with a near fatal bullet wound that rendered him unable to escape police, while Brian escaped by Dom picking him up in his car, with Jack escaping in Cole's car. Jack had already received a bullet wound in his side from a well aimed police shot. Both fleeing cars found themselves being pursued. Dom, Brian, and Mia were all running from the police in Dom's car, while Cole found out that he was still being tracked by the mob, which lead to a few blacked out BMW's pursuing his car. After a painful and prolonged chase, Dom and company escaped by some action movie-like heroics. Cole eventually lost the mob as well, but in his passenger seat was an unconscious and near-death Jack O'Conner.
The gang all met up at Cole's house, as they didn't want to risk a hospital with police still searching for them. However, after Mia's diagnosis, they realized the only way Jack would survive is if he went to the emergency room. Brian went along with Jack and now they are in the middle of trying to figure their way out of there without getting arrested...it isn't going well though.
So in a very condensed nutshell, that is what the last few months have been about. I may be forgetting a few small things here and there but I'm pretty sure that's all the major stuff. We're tossing ideas around for where to go from here, but we have pretty good idea of the immense action ahead. This is a great time for new people to join, and if you have any questions at all do not hesitate to PM either me, Brian, or Jack.
