Even though she'd only just gotten into town, Gisele was ready for a race. She'd had to leave Mexico in a hurry to avoid Braga...and well, yeah. That hadn't been a pleasant experience. Not a pleasant experience at all. So, she'd picked up and gone to Los Angeles. While she knew Dominic was here - she wasn't here to see him. She'd developed feelings for him and well...he'd simply not been able to reciprocate those feelings. More or less - she simply wanted to see the racing community herself, and see what the buzz was all about. As she pulled onto a road that went underneath a large concrete bridge - she spotted them all. Crowds of people standing around all of the cars, getting ready for that nights races. She pulled her Cayman into the row and lined it up next to a Mazda. As she got out of the car, she noticed several men already giving her the 'look' and ignored them. Popping her hood, she leaned against the side of the car and waited for someone to challenge her.

The sound of forced-induction engines, the smell of high octane fuel, and the weight of hundreds of sky-high egos circulated the air. This was Dom's way of clearing his head. He still felt like this was his scene, even though he was no longer the center of attention. The feeling this place gave him from years ago never changed, it was so close to his soul that it defined his home. Thus, it was still his place.
Oh that's right, he was supposed to be laying low. That meant not on the streets...oh well. He'd trade safety for freedom anyway though, that was one thing everyone knew about him.
He spent the first part of the night keeping an eye out for any of sign's that would indicate Braga to him, or as Letty put it, the gang that was now under the leadership of this Montoya. That was a sobering thought. Braga was supposedly locked away and yet his cartel didn't miss a beat several years later, cutting off the head of the snake didn't work. And now, these people were after Letty to put her out once and for all. Still, they would overcome this, Dom knew they would.
A white Porsche that looked strangely familiar parked in the row across from where he was with his '70 Plymouth Barracuda. Soon enough, he got his answer as to why that car looked familiar when he saw the brunette emerge out of it.
Speaking of Braga...
"Small world." Dom said with a slight grin as he approached her directly. It had been how many years since he last saw Gisele? Awhile, that he knew.

Leaning against her car, she switched as people moved out of the way to allow an old Barracuda to pull in. Whomever owned the car seemed to have quite the presence it seemed, gauging by how people were acting.
Once he got out of the car..she gasped inwardly, shocked at who she was seeing. The one person she hadn't actually wanted to see was here - Dominic Toretto. She hadn't seen him in how long? A long time - not since their last ordeal, when he'd basically shot her down.
Standing off the car and straightening her back, she met him with a lopsided smile of her own. "Small world indeed..." she replied softly, feeling a rather painful ting in her heart at seeing him.
"How've you been, Dom?" she asked casually, attempting not to show how much it meant to her to see him alive and well. Even though he hadn't reciprocated her feelings towards him - they'd been strong. She'd thought she'd been rid of them for awhile now, but it seemed they weren't gone as she'd thought. Watching him walk towards her made her breath catch in her throat.
Tilting her head to the side ever so slightly, she raised an eyebrow. "Didn't think this was your scene anymore. Bigger, better things, y'know?" she added, wondering why he was out and about for a local street race. She was here to blow off steam - maybe earn some cash, not that she needed it, but why not? She hadn't however expected him to be here. As he got closer, she leaned in and offered him a short lived hug and a peck on the cheek - it was her heritage that led her to kiss him on the cheek, simply out of habit.

"As good as ever." He answered full-heartedly even though reality would beg to differ with him on that one. He was out of Lompoc after a much too long tenure, that was all the reason he needed to be happy, right?
The thought flashed through his head of the possibility that she was still somehow affiliated with Braga. It was a little coincidental that she was in L.A now of all times. But, she may have very well saved his life with the warning she provided about Braga's operations several years ago. That had to mean her alliances were with him as much as they could be with anyone else. For what it was worth, he could almost read through her eyes that those same feelings she expressed to him years ago, were in fact still there. The peck she gave him, it may have been a formality, but it didn't feel like one.
Nope, this wasn't exactly his scene anymore, but it damn sure felt like it was where he was supposed to be. "I could say the same for you." He jabbed back with a wide smirk. "This will always be home. Never forget your roots." He grinned as he rehearsed what his father would say to him. That always stuck with Dom.
"So why do I find you in L.A?"

"Si?" she asked almost tauntingly, not believing him for a second. Dominic Toretto's life was never 'good'. Calm for a while maybe, but that was normally only the calm before the storm.
Pulling out of their hug she leaned back against her car once again, finding her natural position and slightly pivoting her hips out. She was tall, thin and lean as she leaned against the frame of her Porsche. "Chicas gotta get her fix in somehow" she told him with a smirk of her own, referring to the race. Well mostly referring to the race...
"Ah, but this will never be my home" she expressed, a bit of sadness in her voice. She couldn't return to her home...Braga would certainly be looking for her there. After he'd found out about her warning Toretto - let's just say he wasn't her biggest fan these days.
A light shrug of her shoulders, she stood up off her car once again. It seemed like she was nervously shifting - uncomfortable at the subject of why she'd come to Los Angeles. "Needed a vacation" she told him with a smirk - though it was obvious that wasn't the whole story. "Mehico isn't as safe for me as it once was..." Hopefully he'd understand where she was going because she certainly wasn't about to explain. She couldn't return there again if she hoped to live.

"Good as I'll ever be." He elaborated with a short laugh. Now that was actually true, his family was whole again, and none of them were actively on the run from anybody...yet.
He shifted to a few feet beside her and crossed his arms. In a "younger" setting, this would've had the makings of an awkwardness between the two. And who knows, with how fidgety she seemed, maybe it was awkward for her. He wouldn't blame her after all. Yet he was compelled to hang around her instead of excusing himself. He had taking a liking to her since the night of that scout race. Not romantically of course, but she had an inner spirit that he appreciated behind that tough-girl shell she tried to hold up occasionally.
"Home is what you make it to be, not by what circumstances dictate." He offered as it seemed as though a little depression about whatever she called home surfaced.
Dom cocked an inquisitive eyebrow when she mentioned a 'vacation.' She then gave up a little more disclosing info on her true status. Immediately Dom thought of the possibility that the same people were the ones she was referring to when she said 'isn't safe.' "Has past employment become an enemy?" Dom asked directly, no reason to sugarcoat your way to a question.

As he reiterated that he was good, she simply nodded her head. Did he feel the need to rub it in her face? Clearly things weren't good for her or she wouldn't have been in Los Angeles in the first place. No, she would have been home instead.
Again she shook her head. "Si, maybe. But Los Angeles does not feel like home, and I do not wish to make it my home. I'm simply passing through" she told him swiftly, not wanting him to take her coming here in the wrong way. For all he knew - he probably thought she was here for him. In reality though, that was the furthest from the truth. Gisele had actually been hoping she wouldn't be seeing him. It was funny how things seemed to happen that way.
Looking down to her black boots, she shrugged. "Es posible" she told him that it was possible, in her own language. She didn't want to give him too much information, after all. The more he knew the more dangerous it was for him and his...crew. "Braga was not very pleased with me for..warning you. That's all I can really say, Dom" she told him, looking into his eyes briefly before shifting her focus out into the crowds. Looking into his eyes made her want to tell him what was going on - when she knew she shouldn't, so she began to avoid his eyes.

His rational side asked why Gisele might be in Los Angeles of all places. If you're running from someone, this was probably the first city to look when you're in the world of fast drugs and fast cars. On the same token, people tend to get themselves lost among all the faces around here, maybe that was her idea. A thought in the back of his head though continued to pound into him that it was rather coincidental that she was here, at the races, on the night he was.
"Passing through, huh." He stated casually, leaving the meaning behind that a little vague.
His suspicion turned out to be about spot on as she briefly described her situation in Mexico. Dom didn't think Gisele was the type of person to work for a man like Braga for a long tenure anyway. Braga had little to no morals, she had a little more sense of respect than that. It get's tough when you're on a different page than your boss when it comes to managing people. A slight grin appeared on his features when she mention her warning. "That's all you need to say." Dom answered, essentially getting the answer he was looking for. "As it turns out, I have a similar problem with the same people." His eyes shifted to meet hers.

Tilting her head slightly to the side, her eyes seemed to look into his as if she was up to something. She wasn't honestly, she merely thought it was amusing that they'd run into each other. "Si, passing through" she spoke, her lips purring around the R in through dramatically, her voice sexy and exotic.
"Yeah?" she questioned, though it came out more as a statement than anything else. "Seems we have something en common after all" she spoke, her accent think. A light grin flashed across her features as he looked into her eyes. God, that smile got her every time.
Deciding to be bold in that moment, she took the eye contact as a good sign. Mixing that with the smiles he was giving off - she figured screw it. She slowly approached him, her feet dragging along in a sexy kind of way behind her. Tilting her head to the side once again, she leaned up to whisper in his ear, one hand on top of his shoulder, the other pressed firmly against his chest. "Miss me?" she asked, her hot breath brushing lightly against his ear lobe, her lips trailing down his neck briefly. In order to gauge his reaction she then pulled back just enough to look into his eyes - though her hands didn't move, but instead remained place on his shoulder and chest.

At first, Dom was a little caught off by the fact that her reaction to a rather large piece of revealing information was so...timid. It only took him a second or two though to see where she was going with this. Her seductive tone danced around his ears, the devil inside of him pushing him to play into her moves. He found it strange that years ago it was so easy to put her aside, but now he found the temptation tugging at him just a bit.
Nonetheless, the rational side of him took over as it usually did. He was blessed enough to have Letty fall back into his lap, that was something that overwhelmed anything else he could imagine in importance. Nothing was worth what she was to him. He drew a somewhat blank expression and lifted his hands up to her wrists, wrapping his fingers around them firmly but gently. "We've been there before." He said with his signature deepness in his voice, guiding her hands back to her sides. He felt like he wanted to say more, but couldn't find the words. It was as if he could not sort his own emotions at the moment. It wasn't as easy to let her down a second time, but the thought of Letty was enough to suppress anything else he might have acted on.

The feeling of his hands gripping her wrists sent sparks throughout her body. Ever since the first time they'd met she'd felt an attraction between them. On her side at least. Maybe not on his, at least not that he wanted anyone to know about - but she swore it'd felt mutual. Hell it still did, despite him moving her hands away from his body.
Gisele however didn't grow upset by his rejection. After all he'd done it once and by now, she was used to it from him. It was odd because it hadn't ever happened to her before him - he'd always be the one that got away. Not that she'd ever had him to begin with but still.
A devilish smirk pulled at her lips and while her hands were at her sides, she didn't step back, and kept the closeness between them. Their chests were touching they were so close - though she assumed he'd eventually move away from that as well. "Actually, Dom...we have never been there before" she told him with a small smirk, playing on his own use of words. "It tis a shame, too...as you could be so much fun if you'd only give in." With a simple shake of her head, she lifted one of her hands to rest on her hip. "Still searching for your devil, angel girl?"

Well, he'd be lying if denied that there was an electric field in the air around the two that you could probably charge a battery with. She put on an effort that would capture almost any man out there...almost. Dom found himself locked in position, despite their bodies practically touching. He was still, rigid even. Admittedly, even he wasn't exactly sure what he wanted to do, or what the right thing to do was.
This probably would be a lot simplier if Gisele knew of Letty's return, but he had made the decision the night of the discussion between the group that Letty was something that would stay between them. It wasn't that he didn't trust Gisele, he believed her all the way when she said she's on the run from the same guys, but there was no telling how quickly something like Letty's return could spread. Before long, practically the whole city of L.A would know...wouldn't that be just great.
A hint of a grin spread across his face at her words, his eyes though looked over the top of her out into the night. "Fun, eh? I think you'd be a little surprised by the Toretto's definition of fun." He stole a quick glance, his grin now beaming a little more apparent. "There was only one devil, angel girl."
