Mornings sucked. Nothing good came of ever waking up so damn early, eyes barely opening up to register the sun's rays sprawling into the room. Normally he preferred seeing the night skies before sleeping, though he often closed the curtains before falling into slumber. Slowly he sat upwards, running his hand over his head, and for a few silent heartbeats, he appreciated being free. A few times in his life, Dom found himself behind bars, a small cell with a bed, toilet and a sink to wash his hands. Meal times and the odd trip into the yard was all he got - the rest of the time was spent locked away. In prison, routine controlled them all. From guards patrolling and keeping inmates in check, to the inmates themselves, when they ate, when they went to 'work.' No wonder some loathed such structure and ended up stabbing someone or doing something to break out of routine.
He didn't mind. While he only broke the rules of someone was about to break him, Dom kept his head down and let his eyes and ears keep him above murky waters. Mia worried too much about him as it was, and doing anything in jail, where people slit your throat just for walking a certain way, Dom wasn't about to go down that path. For now, he was out and freedom tasted almost the same as a good race. Today though, he started out with a quick shower, donning on a white tee-shirt and jeans. Breakfast was a simple affair of toast - he had more important dealings to do, though the breakfast was more for his sisters benefit and let her know that he had eaten. Once that was taken care of, he began walking towards the door, heading outside the check on a car he'd been working on for a time now. Well, the car wasn't exactly outside - in the garage beneath a tarp to keep the elements from harming a single spot.
It was a 1956 Dodge Charger, painted red and was in such a poor condition when he saw her. Now she gleamed, all new paint, a new engine befitting such a classic car. While not about to be used for street races, this baby held another purpose. With a grin in place, he moved towards the phone, picking it up with one hand and dialling a familiar number, leaving a message for Letty to meet at his place. The Dodge Charger was going to be a gift for her, both knew and appreciated cars, he knew damn well she'd take care of it as if it were a baby. In some ways, it was. All he had to do now was wait.
((OOC// all I have to say is, I suck at starters xD but it's something. And it feels like something Dom would do, and, you know, Letty is the only one he'd save a car/do her up and gift it : P))
