The docks at midnight were always an interesting place to be. Even more so when you were there to retrieve some newly acquired merchandise that were a rich persons equalivant of grown up toys. Excitement seemed to bleed from the crew waiting for the shipping containers to be opened and there was some good natured ribbing as tension got the better of a few of the more boisterous ones.
Eventually though, the first few containers were lowered and figures dressed in black made their way quietly to the doors as they were lowered. A few more low mutters and each one chose their dibs, entering into the dark spaces to their “prize” inside. Whistles of appreciation rang out from some of the “tin cans” even as the sound of motors starting came from others. Before long, fog lights flashed on and , one by one, vehicles rolled out on to the dock. Quickly exiting the waiting ramp, the cars lined up in the street just beyond the ship that had brought them to Monaco.
Once all cars had disembarked, there seemed to be a pause before the window of one car was rolled down, revealing a pretty blond face as the young woman behind the wheel glanced sideways at the driver beside her. With a gambit grin, she arched a brow and called out. “What do you say we make this interesting? Last one back to the birds nest has to forfit a prize?” she challenged, revving her engine quietly even as she waited for a response. “Seems like its been awhile since we just had a bit of fun and I don't know about you boys but I think a bit of R&R is just what the doctor ordered!”

Tessa Jordan wasn't exactly the most patient person in the world. After wandering around the docks, annoying everyone for a couple hours. Asking them about when this shit was going to be done or just in general telling people to hurry the hell up, she had been banished from the working area.
It was a good thing she never went anywhere without her hand held electronics. Currently she was perched on top of one of the already unloaded and empty shipping containers. Dressed all in black, her hair pulled back in a ponytail. She was busy mashing buttons on her PS Vita as she played Killzone: Mercenary. Her eyes focused on the screen, her mouth moving as she yelled at the game.
"DIE MOTHER FUCKERS, DIE"
Her lips twisted as her thumb furiously pushed one of the buttons over and over until she let out a little howl of happiness. Victory was hers and she threw her arms in the air. The celebration was short lived though because she heard her name called. The car she was driving back to the Batcave was ready for her. As she got to her feet she tucked the game into the small backpack she carried. Slinging the pack over her shoulder she jumped down off the container and strolled over.
Standing in front of one of the guys running the unloading process, Tessa just gave him a droll look while he gave her instructions. Her impatience showing again. It's not like she hadn't done this before. Finally she was given the key and got the go ahead to leave.
With a quiet sigh and an even quieter little growl of frustration Tessa went to the car and slid into the driver's seat. She fired the engine up, gave it a few seconds, then goosed the gas a little and let it settle back into a smooth idle. Smoothly she pushed in the clutch and shifted into gear and pulled out of the drop off location and heading toward the exit of the shipping yard. She didn't get too far before she had to stop. There were some cars up in front of her, so she waited for a minute thinking they would head out in a second.
Her lack of patience got the best of her again and she pulled up to the passenger side of one of the cars. Peering throw the window she could see the mane of blonde hair and that meant it could only be one person. Piper.
Tessa rolled down her window and revved the engine a few times. Until she got Piper's attention and the girl looked over.
"What the hell is going on here? Don't these cars have somewhere to be? I know I sure as hell have better things to do. Can we get a move on?"

Cole hated travelling, and even that was an understatement. So to finally be in Monte Carlo after what seemed like a year-long flight was a small blessing in itself, let alone the gratitude of the day he finally got his car back. Thanks be to whoever was responsible that his million+ dollar Koenigsegg actually made it to the docks.
The rather long and tiresome unloading process was enough to make him pleased that he chose to sell all his cars back in the states besides the CCXR. If one car took this long, he wouldn't want to imagine how long 4 or 5 would take. Nonetheless he waited more patiently than usual for the crate to his prized possession to open.
And opened it did, which revealed that beautiful gleaming carbon fiber finish that was the body work of the rare supercar. Shame that it would have to serve as his daily driver for now...but not really. Seeing that everyone else was already ahead of the game and in their cars ready to head to this new "batcave" that they were talking about, Cole figured he'd outta follow suit before they took off without him. Once the quite complicated starting procedure was complete, the Koenigsegg growled into life and soon rolled its way towards the rest of the group, ending up on the driver side of Piper's car. As he noticed the two girls we're having their own exchange, he lowered the windows on the CCXR in time to hear the end of Tessa's mini-rant. "Someone didn't have a good trip" He muttered just out of earshot. "I wouldn't suppose a little sprint to this batcave you speak of wouldn't be out of order?" He mentioned over to the two as he ripped the engine of the Koenigsegg a few times, a slight smirk on his face.

As much as Piper didn't claim to be anywhere near the caliber of racer that some of the crew was, she did enjoy letting her hair down and just having a bit of fun. Even with her challenged tossed out, she knew that Cole could and would probably leave them in the dust with that million dollar car he had running. Her challenger had nothing on the foreign model but her baby was still good and she felt that she could at least make a showing. Besides, fun was fun, win or lose right? Right.
Smirking at that thought, the blond tossed her head and then glanced in the other direction as another car pulled up. Grinning at Tessa's words, she rolled her eyes before reaching for the gear shift. "A little less talk.. a lot more action!!!' she called out, right foot already hitting the gas and making the car squeal as the tires tried to take off. At the voice from the other side, however, she flipped her gaze in the other direction and then laughed at the male. "Well, if YOU win the race.... your going to have to just put up with brownies or something for a winning... thats all you'll deserve pitting that monster against ours. Don't think I don't know all about that thing!" she teased before arching a brow. "Shall we then?"
Then, leaving them no time to reply, she took her other foot off the brake and the jag jumped forward, taking the lead as it bolted down the side street, heading for the mainfare.

It wasn't long after Tessa had asked Piper what was going on when Cole pulled up. Well, wasn't this just turning into some kind of tea party. Piper didn't get a chance to answer Tessa. Or perhaps she just chose not to if the roll of her eyes was any indication. Cole in his fancy smancy car said something she couldn't hear. Then she could hear the sounds of both Piper and Cole gunning their engines.
Aaaah, shit. They wanted to race. This was going to be interesting. She knew that she was outclassed by Cole and his Koenigsegg. Him and that damn car anyway. Her Camaro didn't stand a chance against the super car. That didn't mean she wasn't up for a little fun though.
She strained to try and hear what Piper was saying over the roar of the engines. She heard something about brownies and a monster but that was all. There was no time to ask questions either because in typical Piper fashion she spun her tires and took off.
"Son of a bitch."
Tessa yelled at no one. Shifting back into gear she mashed the gas pedal and took off after her friend. Hoping she at least got a split second jump on Cole. But, with his quick reflexes she doubted it. At the moment she didn't spare a glance to check. She had to focus. They had to make their way out of the shipyard area and get into the more open streets.

Cole provided a minor shrug as if to admit that Piper was right. Still, brownies sounded good. Truth be known he just wanted to drive fast again. Ever since that tragic day he had lost his desire to race, to even be involved with this harsh underground world. However, something about a location change sparked his interest once again for all things cars, and speed.
She definitely took the idea of a race to heart, just maybe a little quicker than he would've liked. Fortunately, the CCXR was already in gear, so all that was required was a quick exchange between the clutch and gas pedals and the supercar shot off after the Challenger. The rear tires struggled to maintain all 1000 horses of the Koenigsegg, and as a result the car was a bit of a handful through the first couple gears. Nothing that Cole's past racing experience didn't know how to deal with though. The power was enough for the black supercar to run up to Piper's rear tail, with Tessa's ZL1 closely in toe.
"Show me your A-game, girls" thought the blonde inside the CCXR.

Handling the Jag was much different than handling her dad's old Challenger. That American relic had been heavier and built for speed but left something to be desired as far as maneuverability. The foreign model she now drove was just the opposite and Piper was still adjusting to the quickness with which it reacted to her slightest move. A tendency to over steer it was something she was still working on so this race across town was probably a bad idea. However, bad ideas seemed to be the course of her life these days so she shrugged it off as the midnight blue vehicle shot head and took the lead through the ship yard.
A quick look in the rearview told her her cohorts were right behind her and the race was on. Vying for place, the three cars shot through the narrow spaces left for traffic, all heading for the street. A grin turned up the blonds lips as she slid a corner with Cole creeping up to the left and Tessa hot on the right. Feeling the back end slip a bit, she kept her hand on the wheel while concentrating on bringing the car back in line. This lost her precious milliseconds though because the other two were coming up fast. Swearing under her breath, she punched it again and flew out the shipping gate and on the street in front of the docks. Loud horn blasts accompanied the arrival of the three cars and Piper was pretty sure she saw a load of something derail as a truck swerved to miss them all.
Whoops.
Unfortunately, she didn't have time to dwell on that because they were now moving through night traffic. Veering through said traffic, the Jag flew past a couple cars even as she tried to keep track of the headlights in her mirror. When they started to disappear, she knew the other two were making their moves and she laughed as she grabbed another gear and kept going. Really, she knew she didn't stand a chance against Cole's million dollar car but she enjoyed the rush.

The race was on and of course Tessa was last. Not that she expected anything else. Her Camaro was outclassed. She didn't care though, she loved this car. It was also true that she wasn't the best racer in the crew. Not that she couldn't hold her own or anything. Given the right car she could win her fair share of races. She definitely knew what she was doing. But, she could be just as happy watching and taking bets on the race instead of driving in it. Besides, this was just a friendly run between friends back to the garage. No big deal.
They finally hit the main drag and found themselves in traffic. Tessa just grinned at the horns blaring behind them as they maneuvered past and shot down the street. Piper was still in the lead for the moment.
"SHIT!"
Tessa exclaimed as she saw the truck swerve to miss Piper. It's cargo spilling onto the road. Lifting off the gas Tess had to do some major obstacle course moves to avoid the junk in the road. Once through the debris she punched it. Shifting back through the gears again to get up to top speed. She had the others in sight but she had lost a lot of ground.
Welp. That meant only one thing. Take a short cut.
Tessa pumped the brakes, downshifted then pulled the emergency brake. The car went into a power slide. Then she lifted off the brake and gas pedal and drifted around a corner. Heading down a different street than the other two she found what she was looking for. Another quick turn and she was barreling through an alley way.
Urging the car on for all it was worth she was flying. She popped out of the alley and back on the main street. Right along side Piper. Only she was in the other lane that was meant for traffic going the other direction.
And guess what... a car was coming. Shit.
Stomping on the gas the car lurched forward, just enough to clear Piper's Jag. Turning the wheel she crossed over in front of her friend just in time. The other car laid on it's horn to let her know they weren't amused. Tessa didn't care though and she let out a loud "Whoop!" as she continued to drive toward the Batcave.

The inside air of the Koenigsegg was relatively calm...until a truck dumped all its cargo in front of the 1.5+ million dollar car. Cole had a brief but intense 'oh shit' moment and wheeled the CCXR hard to the right, splitting between two cars with maybe a couple inches of clearance on either side. They had really underestimated how busy Monte Carlo's streets would be at this time of day...
Cole cut his way through the obstacle course that was the surrounding traffic with a fair amount of drama, not in too much of a hurry to take the lead. Concern crossed his features for a brief second as he checked his mirrors and found no Camaro behind. Had Tessa wrecked? Apparently not, since after he finished that thought a black Camaro darted out from a side street and slide right in front of Piper's Dodge. She had game in her, Cole would have to admit that.
The scuffle between the two girls however may have distracted them just long enough to not notice Cole's CCXR screaming by them in the opposite lane in all it's twin supercharged glory. Though quickly the young driver cut the car back to the right to avoid a head on with a minivan probably full of kids coming back from soccer practice, or whatever it was they did around here. A massive grin overtook Cole as he watched the two muscle cars behind him get a little smaller. This was why he dumped his life earnings in this thing. It was almost untouchable and he knew it. The only hard part about this car was hanging on to it, which was a little like trying to ride a lion...still, it was fun.
GPS readings marked them about half a mile away from the so-called batcave...
