Let's see if I can remember correctly. The way Diesel entered into the Torettos lives was because Dom was in prison. Dom and Mia's father knew this Dieseli guy and treated him as family so when Dom landed in prison, it was Mia who went and ask "her uncle" (aka head of the Italian mob) a favor and that was to take him out of jail, and he did but everything comes with a price and that was for Dom to hunt down Jack. There was no thread where it says in full detail how Brian died, what we learn later is that Dieseli tells Cole he was responsible for Brian's death.
Cole used to work for Dieseli but when things take a turn, he goes to Hobbs and they come with a plan to take him down.
Ok, had to go back and look at Cole's posts and found this:

Anyway, we have about 7-8 people actively playing right now. A couple players have multiple characters (Pm me if you want to know exactly who's who). Here's the list of taken canons:
Taken:
Brian O'Conner
Dominic Toretto
Mia Toretto
Letty Ortiz (possibly)
Luke Hobbs
Neela Kelley
Any canon not on that list is available.
All a newcomer really needs to read here is the last four paragraphs, titled Current state. But if you want to truly understand where each of the characters are coming from I suggest you read the Tokyo story that occurred a couple months ago.
So, down to business...What's happened over the last few months? I'll do my best to keep it simple...
Tokyo story
Brian O'Conner and his accomplice/lover, Mira Hobbs, were at the time police officers and investigating a case in which Walter Kavanagh, aka Joker, was behind. Roughly 40 stolen exotic cars were placed on a freighter to Tokyo, but was busted before the ship left port...or so they thought. Walter and his accomplices managed to sneak out the five most valuable cars (worth millions each) and get those to Tokyo, before anyone caught on. Meanwhile, through some clever mischief. Walter frames Brian as being the one not only behind the car jackings, but also the various murders that took place at the docking bay that day, which Walter was also truly behind.
Now that Brian is suddenly on the other side of a wanted poster. He debates whether to turn himself in and hope for the best or flee and try to prove his case on his own. With the help of his girlfriend, Mira, and recently met friend who felt bad enough for him to help him out, Cole Peyton, the three flee to Tokyo to try to find the cars themselves and hopefully set themselves free.
Meanwhile, Agent Luke Hobbs is assigned to take them down. He gathers his team and flies to Tokyo, determined to bag the three up, but especially Brian given that Hobbs' daughter, Mira, is his girlfriend. He makes it his personal vendetta to personally see to Brian's demise.
One night, Brian and Cole decide to hit the streets and see if they can make any money from racing. Cole is an ex-professional racer and Brian is, well, the Brian O'Conner. In addition to Cole meeting an old friend, Neela (this becomes a little more important later), Hobbs tracks them down and confronts them at the spot. Brian bails in his skyline and Hobbs chases after him, meanwhile Cole grabs Mira and those two run in Cole's evo, with a large amount of the police force in tow. Brian ends up getting blocked in but ends up escaping on foot, while Cole and Mira weren't so fortunate. As Cole was driving out of tunnel, a sniper onboard a police chopper took a shot at on of Cole's tires, sending his car into a vicious slide that ultimately ended in the car flying off a cliff of a mountain. Miraculously, both survive but with heavy injuries and are taken into custody at the local hospital.
I don't exactly remember when this happened in the timeline, but Mia Toretto suddenly showed up in Tokyo and consequently her and Brian ran into each other. Long story short, the two part on very bad terms and Mia is left crying her way back on a plane to the U.S. Since then the two of them have very bitter relations.
Back at the hospital, Cole is in serious condition and Mira (who's pregnant by the way) is in slightly better health. During this time, Brian and Cole have an altercation that puts them on ends, and Cole swears to stay away from Brian from here on out. Mira's dad, Luke Hobbs, seizes her from the hospital and Cole manages to escape with the help of Neela, despite his health being far from adequate.
Cole ends up hanging out with Neela a lot, and during this time he notices that the garage she works with houses one of the five stolen cars. This reignites the hope in him that there may still be a chance of retrieving them. He decides to see if he could maybe get the job done himself, now that he has inroads with one of the owners, but ultimately fails.
One night, Joker and Brian finally confront each other, and Brian manages to call Hobbs' cell phone from his pocket so Hobbs can overhear the conversation. He eventually shows up at the scene and both Brian and Joker make a run for it. Confused as to why Brian ran as well as Joker, Hobbs chases Brian and catches him, while Brian pleads his innocence and insists Hobbs should be chasing Joker. Brian is just about to be taken into custody when suddenly Cole shows up while practicing his drifting. He sees Brian and after some thought decides to talk to the man arresting him that Brian is innocent. Cole starts losing his case, but luckily, another one of the stolen exotics fly by and Cole and Brian convince Hobbs to let them chase it in Cole's car. They ultimately catch the car and a VIN check shows its stolen. Between the information that and the car Cole saw earlier at that garage provided, police were able to seize the remaining cars and everyone went back to the U.S while they still could. At this point, it is unknown whether Brian, Mira, and Cole are all free from their charges...they await court dates.
Current state
Back in the U.S in southern California, all is well except for one problem; all three of them are broke. One night while Brian and Cole were out money hunting, Cole meets Manako Sora who is a Japanese native and also a famous drifter back home. The two race, and the result is a tie. However, mafia boss Stephano Dieseli scouts the two and approached them to join in with the mob and to race for extremely large amounts of money under their banner. Lured in by the riches promised, both accept, and now both are official racers for the mob, for the better or worse.
Brian and Mira are stressing over twins that Mira is due for very soon. On top of that, their relationship has been put in a bit of a stranglehold for a variety of reasons. Brian is currently doing his best to mend things with Mira and also find a way to support themselves, although Cole has said he would help them out financially now that he has this job. On a side note, Brian and Mia's relationship has not improved and Brian is also trying to fix things with her, though Mia wants nothing to do with Brian anymore.
Finally, there is a plot in progress to get Dom out of jail. He is still held in Lompoc and recently talked with Mia who promised to get him out. Now Mia is talking to Stephano, who happens to be a close family friend to the Torettos, about getting Dom out.
And that is pretty much where we are now. I may have forgot a few things but that's the general stuff that's happened over the last few months. In the future, Brian and Mira's babies will be born, Dom will get out jail, and Cole and Manako will keep racing for the mob...until the inevitable day comes when it bites them in the ass.

Mid March 2013
The last few months have been a little slow due to everyone's work and school commitments, not a ton has happened, but still quite a bit from last update.
Currently taken canons:
Brian O'Conner
Dominic Toretto
Mia Toretto
Agent Hobbs
Leon Perez
Notable OCs:
Jack O'Conner: Brian's younger brother, currently in a ton of trouble with the mob for losing their drug shipment.
Stephano Dieseli: Italian mobster who is using the L.A street racing scene for profit, as well as recruiting drivers both to race and run drugs
Mira Hobbs: Brian O'Conner's girlfriend, just gave birth to twins
Rina Dieseli: Stephano's Daughter, deals mostly with the mobs drug business
Faye Perez: Leon Perez's sister, is a lawyer who was working with Brian to potentially free him of charges early on. She has done some digging around in the mob.
Cole Peyton: Close friends with Brian O'Conner, is a racer for Stephano Dieseli. Used to race professionally before the illegal scene sucked him in.
Sam Ward: Works for Stephano to dig up as much as he can on Jack O'Conner, has a mother in the hospital that is his motivation to take the job with the mob.
There are others but I haven't seen them around for awhile so I'm going to call them inactive for now.
We've had some people come and go lately so there's been a lot of time where there really has been no plot, we really are in desperate need of some steady players to get something big going, nonetheless we manage with what we have
Alright, now for the recent plot...
Jack O'Conner has been doing drugs runs for Stephano Dieseli's mob under everyone's nose, including his brothers. Only recently has his activities been discovered by Brian and others. The trouble is though, that Jack stole a shipment he was supposed to deliver and intends on using them to rat out to the police the mob he works for and then use the shipment himself to turn in a hefty profit. Stephano is not pleased, and he and his daughter, Rina Dieseli, are after Jack to find out where their shipment worth millions of dollars is.
Just before this, Dominic Toretto was released from prison due to the help of his sister, Mia, going to Stephano and asking for any means necessary to get Dom out. Stephano and the Toretto's have family connections, so Stephano agreed and paid 3 million for Dom's freedom. Dom was never aware (and still isn't) just how much was paid for his release, but he is starting to get the idea that it wasn't a small favor. This had been a topic of debate among the Toretto siblings.
Recently, Stephano meet with Dom and briefed him on the case between himself and Jack. Stephano essentially is requiring that Dom assassinate Jack as payback for his freedom once he and one of Stephano's hired goons, Sam, get an idea where their shipment actually is. Dom, of course, has no intention of killing anybody, and is intent on warning Jack of his coming fate. Just about everybody close to Dom knows about what his tasks with the mob are, and all are trying to formulate a plan to keep Jack alive, while avoided the wrath of the mob.
And that is basically where we are now. God knows what could be in store for the future .
A few additional notes worth adding:
Brian and Mia are still on thin ice. Brian is doing everything he can to have some sort of relationship with Mia. At first Mia was very closed off to him, but now she appears to be loosening up a little. The question has been posed to Brian if still loves Mia, despite his relationship with Mira. Brian found himself very conflicted.
Speaking of Mira, she finally gave birth to twins. Annnnnd that is about all there is to say about her because she hardly ever posts
For any new people reading this, by all means message me or Brian if you have any questions about anything.

June 2013
And now for what has recently gone down:
As mentioned in the last update, Jack O'Conner (Brian's younger brother) was in hot water with the California mafia for screwing them over on a drug deal. He stole a shipment worth several millions of dollars and did his best to vanish. It didn't work, and the mob called for his death. In an attempt to get them off his back, Brian and Jack both traveled to Mexico to retrieve the drugs Jack had in "storage." A representative from the mafia, Sam Ward, followed them into Mexico and to the location of the drugs. A conflict ensued once they were at the place, and Sam got away with the drugs and Brian and Jack in his custody. Sam managed to get them on a cargo ship heading for a southern California docking port. At the docks, Dominic Toretto along with Cole Peyton waited as they received word of the O'Conner's less than preferred method of arrival.
During this time, Agent Hobbs had worked briefly with Cole Peyton along with a few others to stage a crackdown of this same mafia (You may recall from previous updates that Cole drove in high stakes street races under the mob's wager's and bets, thus essentially working for them). Cole had been called by the mob to participate in a race across the city with millions of dollars on the line, winner take all. The location of the starting point was a close kept secret as most of the upper hierarchy of the mafia would be there, but Cole tipped off Hobbs/police on where the location would be. Hobbs and his men filed in shortly after the race started and captured many of the leadership involved. The boss himself, Stephano Dieseli, was killed in a car crash as he tried to escape capture. The race went on, and Cole barely won it, but since there was no mob there to collect the winnings, Cole took all 18 million dollars of it himself. Remnants of the gang are still after him for the money, but because of all the turmoil, he thinks he's safe...
This brings us back to the docks, Dom called Cole over to the docks right after the race ended. Because of the sudden trouble with the authorities, the disorganization within the mob left Sam without much support, and the O'Conners took advantage to escape his grasp. Bullets were fired, vans were wrecked, and eventually the police showed up. This turned into a deadly three way game of hide and seek. Sam ended up with a near fatal bullet wound that rendered him unable to escape police, while Brian escaped by Dom picking him up in his car, with Jack escaping in Cole's car. Jack had already received a bullet wound in his side from a well aimed police shot. Both fleeing cars found themselves being pursued. Dom, Brian, and Mia were all running from the police in Dom's car, while Cole found out that he was still being tracked by the mob, which lead to a few blacked out BMW's pursuing his car. After a painful and prolonged chase, Dom and company escaped by some action movie-like heroics. Cole eventually lost the mob as well, but in his passenger seat was an unconscious and near-death Jack O'Conner.
The gang all met up at Cole's house, as they didn't want to risk a hospital with police still searching for them. However, after Mia's diagnosis, they realized the only way Jack would survive is if he went to the emergency room. Brian went along with Jack and now they are in the middle of trying to figure their way out of there without getting arrested...it isn't going well though.
So in a very condensed nutshell, that is what the last few months have been about. I may be forgetting a few small things here and there but I'm pretty sure that's all the major stuff. We're tossing ideas around for where to go from here, but we have pretty good idea of the immense action ahead. This is a great time for new people to join, and if you have any questions at all do not hesitate to PM either me, Brian, or Jack.

So to elaborate a little, the plot I had in mind with Stephano's return basically is this:
Stephano obviously wasn't killed in the car explosion, rather burned and possibly maimed. He has immense anger towards the Toretto's and O'Conner's and company because of the obvious setup for his arrest, plus the fact that many of his men are either dead or in prison.
Long story short, Stephano would turn out to be responsible for Brian's death, and now the grave threats continue from what remains of the mob...I've got plenty of juicy ideas once the ball starts rolling on this but thats the general idea...
