Faye smiled, nodding her head, yea she had heard that many a times before, had seen it to, the woman who flaunted what they had got, useing and abusing as they went. Faye sighed, she had once, many years ago throught she was pretty, but Tristan had knocked that otu of her a long time ago.
At his question she shook her head "of course not"she stated, she should know she should be more wary of men, or hell any one who was new, but she just couldnt bring herself to be worried around him. "As long as i pay mine"

Jeremy nodded and pulled his feet from the sand, "Alright I can accept that," he said nodding, "There is a little shack here on the beach that's got pretty good food."
He didn't know what she liked but he knew that this was heading in a favorable direction for him. Jeremy was excited by the prospect of having a possibility with a woman like Faye, the others like her seemed to pick up on his games a little too fast for his likes.

Faye smiled, raising a brow, wait he actually agreed to allow her to pay for her own food, the last time she had suggested that the other guy had flat out refused, she pulled herself free from the sand, before pushing herself to her feet.
"Yea iv ate there a couple of times"She commented as they headed in the direction, soft wind blowing through her hair.

Jeremy slipped the guitar onto his back, "I've been going there for years... the price of making the beach a second home," he said ruefully as he headed up the beach towards the shack.
He decided that he would at least take the tip for the both of them, he knew better then to refuse a woman he just met to pay her own way. That idea that he would pay for them never went well for him, they assumed that he was being rude thinking that they couldn't pay for themselves. Jeremy just went with that because women were hard to understand and he still didn't have them figured out.

Faye follwoing closely behind him, before actually falling to his side, she wondered if she shoudl actually mention that she had a boyfriend, she didnt want the man getting the wrong impression, but wondered when the time was to mention such person, licking her lips she shrugged her shoulders, if things progressed, or he seemed interested in her in another way then just friendship then shed mention it.
"Yea iv been here a couple of times since i moved down to LA a couple of months ago"SHe stated as he opened the door for her, she quickly looked around, the place was empty but for that time in the morning it was to be expected, she opted for a place by the window so she could still see the sea.

"So your still relatively new to the area," Jeremy stated nodding, "There is a lot of stuff that goes on in LA that I am still finding and I've lived here for 14 years."
He smiled warmly at the waitress, "Morning Jess," he said as the woman shook her head.
"Again? Geez Jer you really need to find some other place to think, other wise there will be people thinking your a beach rat," she said shaking her pen at the man who shrugged, "So what can I get you to drink sweetie?" She asked looking at Faye, already knowing Jeremy was drinking coffee.

Faye nodded her head "Yea i moved down nearly a year ago"SHe stated after realizing just how long she had actually been in LA and how much shit had gone of since she had arrived, licking her lips she watched as the waitress came over, she let out a breath, offering the woman a friendly smile.
"Just coffee for not thanks, black, no sugar" She stated, she'd need at least three if she was going to manage to get through a full day of work later, once the waitress had left she turned back to Jeremy.
"You really do come here often"SHe laughed when the waitress hadnt even had to ask what the man wanted.

Jeremy nodded, "Sadly yes I do. I always seem to find my way onto the beach, and obviously here. The isolation has done me some good, that and this is a good place to come if your stressed, world's best comfort food."
He smiled at Jess as she placed two coffee's down on the table looking at Jeremy.
"You look like your in one of your pancake moods," she said looking Jeremy over as he laughed softly.
"Okay now I know I really need to find somewhere else to go," He said laughing as he put the menu down, "I am in a pancake mood."
Jess grinned, "Glad I can at least peg someone's order. What can I get for you sweetie, or you still mulling over things?"

Faye laughed, nodding her head in agrement "Yea the only time a waitress in a place should know what mood you look like your in, is when you work there" She pushed away the menu, she had already known what she wanted but had wanted to busy herself with something, other then paying attention to the man in front of her. "Any other time, then your right, gotta find a new place to eat"
She laughed, turning sparkling dark eyes onto the woman, she shook her head at her question "No im good"SHe stated, swallowing as she ran a hand through her slightly curly hair. "Pancaks, extra syrup please"She stated, turning her gaze over towards Jeremy.
"So tell me Jeremy when your not out on the beach flirting with woman, what are you doing"

Jess nodded and walked back to the kitchen placing their order.
Jeremy smiled, "I'm a business man, mainly with importing. What about you?" he asked taking a sip of his coffee.
He was curious about her and was trying to keep the attention off of his less then legal business life. If she didn't know what exactly he did the better they would get along in the long run, simply because there would be less questions.

Faye rose a brow in interesting, slightly more intreigued with what he hadnt said, but she had learnt not to push, you offered what you wanted to offer, and obviously he didnt want to divulge any more infomation then he already had done.
"Im a lawyer"SHe stated softly, bringing up the steaming cup of coffe to her lips, blowing on it enough to allow herself to take a small sip of the coffee, sighing at the taste, this place truely did do the most amazing cups of coffee.

"Well I wasn't expecting that," Jeremy said clearly impressed, "What inspired you to become a lawyer?"
That knowledge made him take a mental step back, though it did make the knowledge that should he ever get caught for any reason at all a slight comfort. But it also made any of her questions for him have a double meaning. Any of them could be with the intent to wiggle the true nature of his business ventures out of him.
Jeremy smiled slightly, and there was the base of his looking out for only himself, even the prettiest face could be out to get him.

Faye shrugged her shoulders, she had never actually thought of why, but she guessed it all stemmed back to her father, and then ultimatly Tristan, she wanted to make a difference, stick up for the woman and the men out there that were to afraid to do it themselves.
"Had a couple of bad experiences, guess i wanted to be able to be the voice to those to afraid to speak up, like i was"SHe stated with a smile as she looked up at him, licking her lips she sighed, smileing over at him, once more.

Jeremy nodded, "That's a good reason for becoming a lawyer. Everyone needs someone to stick up for them, I'd want you to stick up for me if things went bad," he said smiling as he took another sip of his coffee.
He glanced at the door as it opened, the bell tinkling softly, he smiled at the couple that walked in before his gaze landed on Jess as she came back around to give them refills.
"Pancakes will be done in a second," Jess said smiling as she refilled their mugs before wandering off to take care of the other couple.
Jeremy looked at Faye, "So... you like music?" he asked trying to fill the silence that had fallen on them.

Faye smiled, blushing slightly at the compliment, even now she couldnt help it, being told she was good at something, good looking or anything of the sort still made her feel alive and happy, after many years of shit.
"Er yea"She nodded with a smile "Anything with a good beat"SHe stated with a smile, her gaze flicking up to him. "I wont bother asking you"SHe laughed, seeing as he had already prooved he enjoyed music. "Whats the insperation behind the lyrics though"She questioned remembering the words he had sang with so heart felt.

Jeremy made a thinking face, "I thought I had found the one a while ago and she left me, so when I was still an emo kid," he said laughing softly, "I wrote the song for her, thinking that when she heard it she'd come back. She didn't which in the end was good, because if she had I'd feel guilty about flirting with you. And I'd much rather flirt with a goddess then feel guilty about it."
He tried not to think about his love life or the lack there of, simply because it was pretty sad. The ones that he had wanted to share his secrets with had left him even his parents had left him for something better. Of course his parents being killed, had put him in an orphanage and sessions with a therapist who said he had gotten dissociative disorder from the trauma.

Faye, tilted her head, nodding it slightly, she could understand that feeling, thinking you had found the one, only to find out that they wasnt. Inhaling she licked her lips, blushing again at his compliment. With a deep in take of breath she took a small swallow of her scalding hot coffee.
"Yea, been there done that"she stated, her mind flashing back to Tristan and how perfect he had been, and how quickly he had turned agasint her. "But there are some good uns"She stated, flicking her gaze over to him, with a smile.

Jeremy grinned, "I know but it's finding those good ones when their single, that's the trick," he said pulling back as 3 chocolate chip pancakes were placed in front of him, "Thank you Jess."
He hoped that she caught the subtle hint that he was taking more then a casual interest in her, though that hope also lead to him praying that she wasn't already accounted for by someone else. Jeremy picked up his knife and slathered the comfort food in butter as Jess placed the other stack of pancakes in front of Faye with the extra syrups.

Faye nodded her head, that was the trick, she was more then lucky she had found Jack when she did, he had all but saved her from herself and the people around her, she often found herself wondering what would have happened if she had stayed in Miami, she knew she would have been safer, well untill Nate had come for her that was, but she didnt think she'd have been happy.
Smileing over at Jess she looked down at the pancakes and then at the syrup, decided for the golden she placed a fair amount in the center of her pancakes. "Trick is not looking"SHe stated softly, she knew she hadnt. "Sounds funny but trust me, when you dont look they tend to come out of the woodwork"

Jeremy nodded, "I'll have to try that some time. Can't ever say that I have gone without looking for someone else before though. You know have to keep my mind active, or I'll become a mindless workaholic. Done that one before and it wasn't pretty," he said shaking his head as he cut off a piece of his chocolate chip pancakes.
He smiled sadly down at his food, he had screwed himself up pretty good after his last girlfriend had left him. The race and the alcohol were his food and drink, though Johnny had shaken him out of his pitiful state and brought him back to the reality that he was supposed to be living in.
