Faye smiled tilting her head as she looked over at him, she could see the distant pain in his eyes and woindered what bitch had broken his heart. Taking a small peice of her pancake she allowed it to dissolve in her mouth,
"Looks like you and me have something in common"SHe stated softly, before she had arrived in LA, she had done the exact same thing, worked herelf into the ground trying to finish law school, and hold down a crap paying job so she could finish law school.
"Workaholics are never a good look"She amdit.

Jeremy smiled slightly, "Yeah leads you into all kinds of other problems that we don't want to have to deal with," he said softly shaking his head, "But you meet some interesting people along the way. I know I did."
He popped the hunk of pancakes into his mouth and sighed softly, comfort food was a welcome thing after a long night working with Lance, the muscle without Johnny's brains had some strange ideas of things that he wanted shipped in and sold on the black market. Jeremy just worked with the guy and tried to keep the Trans afloat under the radar which was a hard enough task with the amount of enemies and eyes on the family.
"So who broke your heart? Who could break your heart?" Jeremy asked after swallowing.

Faye swallowed the pancake in her mouth, lowering her gaze momentarily stabbing the food in front of her, the question had caught her of guard, and normally a guy asking a woman that type of question it would have been a simple answer, but given her past. Shaking her head she lifted her dark gaze to the man oppostie her.
"His name was Tristan"She stated, even the same brought shivers and memories she didnt want to think about, she pushed them to the back of her mind, ensuring that she didnt think of him. "He did more then break my heart"She stated softly with her eyes downcast as she placed another peice of pancake into her mouth.

Jeremy could read through the flickers of pain, "Sorry I bought it up," he said looking at the food in front of him suddenly not very comforted by the comfort food in front of him.
It wasn't like him to ask about someone else's past but he had been curious, and curiosity normally lead him down the road of asking questions that didn't exactly fit a first meeting. Especially in this case, he was trying to get to know her without making her feel bad. Which in this specific case was failing.
Jeremy poked at his food effectively destroying the top pancake with his fork, before he looked at the gooey chocolate infiltrated insides of his pancake and bit the inside of his bottom lip as a force of habit.

Faye lifted her gaze over to him, shaking her head, with a breath she reached over, resting her smaller hand on top of his. "DOnt worry about it"SHe stated softly, her eyes sparkling and her face free of any of the emotion she had showed seconds later.
"Seriously its the past now, finally"Licking her lips she let out a berath and removed her hand away from him, the other hand stabbing the food in front of her, taking a smal bite of her pancake.

Jeremy nodded, "Alright, it's good that you moved on. Pretty things like you should always be treated with respect and given all the love they can handle."
He smiled at her before he returned to his mutilated pancakes as Jess came around refilling their cups of coffee, before wandering back off to take orders from other customers as they came in. Jeremy tried not to dwell too much on the hand touching, knowing that some people did it as an almost reflex, though he was tempted to reach across the table and take her hand in his and hold it.

Faye smiled as she looked at the man sat opposite her "Well i think i finally found him" She stated her mind drifting over to Jack,in her eyes he was perfect, even if he was anything but, but then again that was why she loved him, he had flaws yet he went out his way to make her feel loved and special and wanted.
"You'd be surprised what you find when your not looking"She stated lifting her gaze over to the man in front of her, brow furrowed when she looked at him, there was a change in his eyes, in his posture. "You okay"She questiond with a raised brow as she tookl him in.

Jeremy shook off his disappointment, "Yeah I'm good," he said shooting her a bright smile.
It was like him to be attracted to someone who was already accounted for, it was almost a motto now, 'The best ones are always taken first, everything else if left for the late sucker.' He was always the late sucker when it came to women, but he never had that translate over into his job thankfully.
"So what's he like?" Jeremy asked curiously.

Faye just smiled over at him, as a lawyer she had been prepared for the small signs, and he wasnt as okay as he made out to be, but she decided agaisnt pushing him, if he wanted to talk to her then he would.
"Jack's great"She stated softly, not wanting to gush or talk to much about him, she had a feeling that was what had caused the look to cross over his face.

"He must be if he can get you to look that happy," Jeremy said grinning, "I hope he takes care of you like you deserve to be."
He was trying to be genuinely happy for her, a woman he had just met. A woman who happened to be walking on the beach while he was off in his own head playing his guitar mindlessly as he stared at the ocean trying to forget. Forgetting was hard to do in his line of work, when your life was occasionally put on the line because you had to put your neck out to get the product you wanted. Jeremy was glad that he couldn't get her wrapped up in the life that he lead because that life wasn't one that he wanted for anyone else.

Faye smiled, a true genuine smile, one that reached her eyes, causeing them to wrinkle just slightly, her dark eyes sparkling as she looked at the man in front of her, a man she didnt know, just someone she had ran across on the beach, pushing away her empty plate she smiled at up at him once more.
"Thank you"She stated honestly "You know i hope you find your one" she stated softly.

"Thank you," Jeremy said nodding, "I hope so too, it would be nice to have some one stick around for a while," he said nodding as Jess came over and dropped the check on the table, "You sure you want to pay you're own way? Either way I'm taking the tip."
He smiled softly as he adjusted the guitar so he could get at his fat wallet a little easier, breakfast like this never ended with him spending too much money so there was always plenty for occasions like this where he had someone with him even if it wasn't for a business deal.

Faye laughed, rolling her eyes, she wouldnt have gotten to where she was today if she hadnt learned how to do things herself, with a smile she reached over to her wallet, grabbing enough money for her half of the breakfast and placed it on the table.
"Im more then sure" She stated softly, her eyes twinkling as she looked at him, licking her lips she finshed her now cold coffee and allowed her gaze to roam over the beach once more, soon she would be going back to the world, back to her life, and this morning would just be a distant memory.

"Alright then," Jeremy said nodding as he covered the rest of the bill and the tip, "I hope we can see one another again. I rather enjoyed spending my early morning with you," he said smiling warmly at the woman across from him as he finished his own coffee and stood up.
There was just one last thing to do before the two of them parted ways and likely would never see one another again, and that was make sure the beautiful woman got to her car safe and sound before she headed to work.
"I'll walk you to your car," Jeremy said softly, "Call me old fashioned but, really I just want to bask in your presence as much as possible before the next time we meet on the beach at some ungodly time of the morning."

Faye turned her dark gaze onto him and smiled with a roll of her eyes "Well at least it was me and not some werido who wonders around at this time in the morning" SHe laughed as she gestured in the direction of her car, his compliment though only caused her to blush even more and she heaved in a breath, more then sure that if she had met him before Jack she would have been utterly smitten.
Al to soon in her opionon her car was comeing into veiw, the red lit up under the sun, her fingers grazed over the paint and she was stil surprised at how her srx 4 could look so plain yet be so fast, what with the Skyline engine under the hood. SHe turned around to Face Jeremy and rested agasint her car for a second, licking her lips she made her mind up there and then, and with a quick movment she had car door open and her hand in the gloove comparment. "Just incase ya know you ever need to talk" She stated as she handed over her card. "Or get into trouble and need a lawyer to bail you out"

Jeremy took the card and smiled holding it to his chest, "I will keep this very close," he said smiling brightly.
His eyes roamed over the car and the beautiful driver, taking in the sight of her leaning against the sleek machine, "Your car suits you," he said leaning in and giving her cheek a kiss, "I hope that I will see you again. I'll give you a call sometime if I need some company on the beach once more."
He waved at her and began to walk away heading to his own car, the red paint glistening under the burning hot sun.
