Faye didn’t quite know how she had arrived at the beach without wrapping her car around a lamp post, nor how she hadn’t been pulled over, especially as she was all but stable as she stepped from her car, eyes blurry as she moved away from it, she heaved in a breath, steadying herself against the railings. The virtually empty bottle of vodka all but slipped from her hands as she raised It to her lips, the taste completely gone as she downed the rest of the bottle, allowing it to fall from her hands, the sound of it shattering against the floor not detouring her as she moved towards the beach.

She had left Daniels and headed here, she had been heading back home to confront Jack but couldn’t bring herself to, not yet, she needed to clear her head, get the vodka out of her system, she kicked her shoes free, feeling the cold of the sand beneath her feet, her eyes moving in the direction of the sea, well what she presumed was the sea, all she could really see was the rippling blackness, through blurry eyes. With a trembling breath she clenched her hands to fists at her side, letting out an angry sigh, she wanted to cause someone damage, she didn’t care who it was, she wanted to make someone else feel the pain that she was feeling.

A strangled sob feel from parted lips and her knees finally gave out as she sank to the sand beneath her, legs drawn up to her chest, her arms wrapped tightly around them, with warm tears trailing down her face she continued to stare into the distance, not even aware of the approaching figure.

Jeremy was holding his guitar loosely in one hand, he had sworn that he had seen Faye stumble out to the beach as he exited his car. He had finally gotten off of work, the shipment of parts being almost 5 hours later then they were supposed to come in. Shaking his hair out of his face as the wind picked up he stepped onto the white sandy beach looking into the darkness trying to find the woman once more.

When he had spotted her he had already stepped around the shattered bottle of vodka that lay new broken on the pavement just before the sand. If she had drank the entire thing she was going to be pretty far gone, he knew he would have been nearly incoherent if he finished off a bottle of vodka himself.

Jeremy looked at Faye as he approached her from behind, "We should really meet up somewhere other then the beach Faye, and perhaps when your sober."

Her tears had left streaks down her cheeks, eyes puffy and sore, but it was nothing to the pain that was tearing through her body. SHe had been happy, so happy at the thought of marrying Jack, had he been so afraid, so regreatful of asking her that he had cheated. Biting the inside of her lip, hard enough to cause pain, her eyes turned to the ring of her finger, and heaved in a deep breath, shaking her head she closed her eyes and that was when she heard him.

She slowly opened her eyes, and turned to him, eyes still watering, licking her lips she laughed, shaking her head, which actually turned out to be a rather bad idea as it made her head sway. Pulling a face she heaved in a breath, allowing everything to settled around her.

"I am sober" SHe stated turning away from him, once more.

Jeremy nodded and sat down next to her, "My mistake," he said smiling softly, "So what's got the goddess in my sight crying like this? Who's ass must I tear apart for hurting you like this?"

He looked at her his eyes hard and warm as he looked at her, the thug thing he could do, it wasn't that hard. Considering he worked for the Trans that had already taught him a thing or two about shaking things up to have a desired effect.

Faye shook her head, allowing her eyes to drift closed as she ran a hand over her face, inhaling a deep shaky breath, she finally opened them and turned her gaze towards the man she hadnt seen for a while.

"Jack" She muttered with a shake of her head, her arms wrapping around her body her gaze flicking over to him, "My stupid fault for saying yes" SHe muttered, because she was more then sure the only reason he had done what he had done was because she had agreed to marry him.

Jeremy looked at her strangely, "The guy that had you all smiles when we last met? What happened? Anything I can help you with, because I am not getting the context of the problem with saying yes," he said looking at her confused by the sudden change in her.

He knew it was bad, he was caring about someone else, he wanted to protect her, keep her safe, kick the crap out of the person who had hurt her. Jeremy shifted the guitar into his lap as he reached out and took one of her hands holding it lightly as he ran his calloused fingers over the back of her hand.

Faye furrowed her brow, the words leaving his lips did not make any sense, to her the words she herself had spoken made perfect sense, she had yes, and he had fucked her over, what was it about that, that was so hard to understand. "He asked me to marry him" She muttered, with a shrug, "Then fucked some blonde fucking stripper" She seethed, the sadness she had felt turning into anger.

Heaving in a breath she pulled her gaze awawy from him, but the touch of his hand agasint hers, caused her to turn, her dark eyes locked onto his face, she frowned, licking her lips, and that was when the tears came again.

"Oh..." Jeremy said understanding now crashing down around him like the frigid waves of the ocean, "I'm so sorry Faye, I can't imagine what that feels like."

He moved the guitar onto the beach and took her into his arms as she began to cry again, "Shh... It's okay, you'll be okay. You'll get through this it's going to be okay," he whispered cautiously worried that his actions would upset her even more, when they were only meant to comfort her.

Faye bit the inside of her lip as he pulled her towards him, her body curled agasint his, fingers digging into the shirt he was wearing. "I have no idea how its gonna be okay"She whispered, agasint him, just letting him comfort her, it felt good.

Daniel had got her drunk, helped her forget, but when that was done, she had needed this, someone to hold her, she knew she should have gone to Lee but he wouldnt have understood, he would have been angry, gunning for Jack. "Im so freaking stupid"She muttered.

"No your not," Jeremy said putting his chin on the top of her head, "Jack is the stupid one for upsetting a goddess like you. You'll be okay because your strong, you won't let this pull you down. I've only met you twice but I know you'll make it."

He squeezed her shoulders slightly as he rocked back and forth slightly trying to calm her and let her know that he was going to be there for her. Jeremy didn't even really know Faye but he felt for her, he knew what it was like to have your life come crashing down around your ears. He didn't know the pain she was going through, but he knew the feeling of getting crushed emotionally.

Jeremy tilted his chin down as he pulled his head back, he placed a soft kiss on the top of her head before resting his chin there once more, "You'll pull through Faye, I know you will."

She didnt know where this man had come from, yet every time she had needed him he had been, he had kept her safe, secure, made her feel secure. With a breath, she felt his lips agasint her head, and allowed her eyes to close. Licking her lips she twisted, curling into his chest. "You think so" She questined, finally pulling away from him.

Her hand ran over her face, tryign to rub away the tears, her breath hitched in her throat as dark eyes locked onto the man sat so close to her.

"I know so," Jeremy responded pushing her hands away from her face as he used the calloused pad of his thumb to wipe away a stray tear from her eyes.

He smiled at her not knowing what she needed to feel better, but hoping that he was doing a good enough job not to offend her. It was a shame that the second time that they had run into one another was on the same beach at an earlier time when she was obviously distraught and upset with the man she had fallen in love with. There was no room for Jeremy to flirt with an upset woman, it went against everything he knew.

Jeremy looked her over and sighed softly, "Is there anything I can do to help you out? I really don't like seeing you this upset, its kind of disheartening. I mean the first time we met you were all smiles and I can't help but want to see that smile again."

Faye sighed, leaning into the tender touch of his finger agasint her face, for half a second she allowed herself to rest into his touch, her eyes fluttering closed for the smallest second, then she was opening her eyes, a soft smile crossing her features as she looked at him, licking her lips she nodded slowly.

"Play for me" She stated softly, her body shifting agasint his in the sand, her arms comeing to wrap around her legs, head resting agasint her knees, hair falling around her body.

"Sure," Jeremy said nodding as he pulled his guitar onto his lap, his fingers sat on the fret board for a moment before they began to move once more.

He really didn't know what she liked but he knew the songs that had made him feel better when he was down. His fingers slipped across the strings, as he resisted singing the lyrics knowing he wouldn't do the song any justice.

Faye smiled,looking over at him, yes sparkling as she looked over at him, watching as he gently strumed on the guitar, it surprisingly comforted her and she allowed herself to fall backwards, back resting gently into the sand behind her. Inhaling deeply, she turned her head, looking into his direction.

"You play beautifuly"She whispered, looking up at him as she watched him play, allowing the melody to wash over her.

"Thank you," Jeremy said smiling softly, "I try to get people to feel the same way as when I'm playing. So like in this case I'm playing one of the songs that helped me out and I can only hope that it helps you the same way."

He flushed slightly and was glad for the very dim lighting, considering what he had just admitted to her. That kind of thing wasn't easy for him to admit to, but then again here was this goddess in human form laying beside him asking him to play for her, so she could become happy once more. That was just something he wasn't all that used to.

Faye twisted her head in the sand so that she was able to look up at the man above her, her brow knitted ever so slightly, head slightly fuzzy due to the alchol rushing through her body.

"Who ever she was, stupid"She muttered, lifting her hand to careres his cheek softly, she couldnt begin to understand how any one coould allow this man to run away from them. She smiled up at him, and allowed her hand to drop back down to the sand.

Jeremy smiled leaning towards her slightly, "Thanks but, she wasn't a big fan of my job. So when I didn't quit like she wanted she quit me. She was a sweetheart while we were together, but like with all things except my job, things didn't work out the way they were supposed to," he said softly glancing away.

"Which is why I know you'll pull through all this," he said after a moment, "Your reacting better then I did when she left me."

His fingers slipped across the fret board as he seamlessly changed songs into something a little less depressing, a little more upbeat.

Faye heaved in a breath and pushed herself up on her elbows, eyes taking him in, with a smile, she slowly nodded her had, "Well then she was stupid" SHe muttered, "Because it doesnt matter what you do if you love someone" She muttered, remembering all to well what she had been willing to risk for Jack, and her brother. Swallowing she allowed her eyes to drift closed, the music he was strumming washing over her body.

"You really good" She stated as she finally opened her eyes once more and looking over at him, "You really know how to sooth someone, thank you"

"I try," Jeremy said smiling at her, "So what are you going to do now that everything has happened? Do you love him enough to stay by his side, no matter what he does?"

He didn't think that it was prying but that's the feeling he had gotten after the words had slipped from his lips. Jeremy sighed to himself and looked out at the horizon that was just starting to get lighter. It hopefully was going to be a good day.
