Faye tilted her head as she surveyed him, there was something in his eyes that made her slightly concerned, and she wondered when the last time he slept was, he had told her about meeting Star, so it couldn’t have been today, licking her lips she slowly nodded her head “I am” She admitted softly, “I cant remember the last time I ate properly” And living with her brother it was something she doubted would happen, she enjoyed cooking, but when it was for herself she’d just rather go without, oh it was the perfect diet…not.
Her own dark eyes remained on his face, “But wouldn’t you rather, I dunno sleep” She questioned with a raised brow, her head tilting to the side as she watched him, she knew the answer already, but she had to ask, she didn’t want a guilty conscience when he fell asleep at the wheel…not that she had any fear of him doing so while she was in the car.

Jeremy pondered her question for a moment before shaking his head, "Nope not really, there's caffeine and energy drinks, and wonderful company. That and I really don't have the time to sleep, at some point this afternoon I have to call in and smooth things over with clients and such. My work schedule is such a hassle," he breathed out dramatically as he grinned at Faye.
"Plus anyway, you need to eat and I'm starving, you know whiskey is not a healthy food group," he said dryly as he motioned for her to get out of his car, "And the food isn't exactly that far away. Since you know I love the beach so much I eat here on a regular basis."

Faye rolled her eyes she had known exactly what he was going to say because she would have said the very same thing, with a smile she rolled her eyes, “Im sure I can keep you awake” She stated with a wink before slipping from the car. The mention of work made her frown, now she wasn’t living with Jack she was actually going to have to go back to work sooner then she had planned, with Walters help though she was actually ready. Which meant hopefully she was going to be able to afford a place of her own.
Her phone rang in her pocket as Jer exited the car and came to join her, with a slightly annoyed expression she reached for her phone, “Sorry” She muttered before answering the same way she had before. “Lee…no…im fine” With a roll of her eyes she fell into step with Jer, “Im with Jer” Shaking her head she let out a soft laugh, “Don’t even go there Lee, hmmm…yea bye” Before her brother was able to say anything else she flicked her phone shut, her dark eyes turned towards Jer with a smile.
“Sorry bout that, he worries far to much” She stated softly, slipping her phone into her pocket, she reached down and entwined her fingers with his.

Jeremy shrugged as he locked fingers with her, "It's okay, you're lucky to have someone that worries over you like that. Though your brother will have to get used to seeing me, I enjoy spoiling people I like. That is fine right?" he asked shooting her an open gaze that read you can say no and I'm fine with that.
He liked her company and the way her hand fit into his was strange, they fit perfectly together like it was always supposed to be that way. Jeremy couldn't keep that soft smile off his lips as they walked towards the little shack on the beach. He pushed open the door and held it open for Faye to enter before him.
"Breakfast is my treat goddess," he said grinning at her.

Faye smiled, nodding her head, she didnt mind her brother worrying so much half of the time, she knew he had a reason to worry, and she woudl always be greatful for havign him in her life, she just wished sometimes she had listende to him before. She mentally shook her head, that was the past now, and she couldnt change it, she had to stop trying to live in it. Biting the inside of herlip she looked over at him, bfore entering the sall shack, a place they seemed to frequet a lot when they were together.
"You can spoil me as often as you like" She addmitted truthfully, she didnt mind people spoiling her, but she wasnt one of these selfish women, she had money and she liked being able to look after herself just as often.
With a small smile she nodded her head, resting it agaisnt his arm for a moment, she looked up at him.FOr so long this place had been their plac, they had both come hereknowing nothing could happen between each other. It was almost fitting now that something was, they were together. "Dont get used to paying for me though" She mummbled as they headed over to their usual spot.

"Hey I know an independent woman when I see one," Jeremy said holding his free hand up in surrender, "and I even know better then to try and argue with one."
He was giving her a soft grin, he liked that she was independent that she didn't want hand outs. Jeremy tipped his head slightly and kissed the side of her head she was perfect to him.
He pulled his hand away from hers as he pulled out he chair, "Second date goddess, I'm sure you'll understand soon enough I love to spoil people, in particular you," Jeremy said it with an air of certainty, "I have to make a good... Fourth, third or fourth impression," he said his mouth opening in a wider grin, he was glad it was Faye here with him and not someone else.

Faye smiled at him glad that he was understanding her, it was nice for someone to understand that about her, she had grafted every day of her life, she fought to be where she was, it was difficult, even now for anyone to take care of her but her. With a smile she looked over at him as he pulled out her chair.
"Somehow i doubt you will ever out do your first impression" She stated softly, lowering herself into the seat. Even now she could remember with clairty the first moment she had laid eyes on him the way he had played and sang, could even remember most of the words to it.
With a smile she licked ehr lips as she watched him, dark eyes locked onto his face, "But im happy for you to keep trying"

Jeremy laughed softly, "Yes because it is hard to out do, me with a guitar sitting on the beach looking like a hippy," he teased softly, "I'm never gonna stop trying to keep you interested. That'll keep the both of us on our toes."
He pushed her chair in before sliding around the table and taking his own seat as the usual morning waitress came over glancing between the two adults with a face half shock and concern, "Jeremy Sumerland who is this fine young lady your being all gentlemanly with? I ain't never seen you here with anyone before, you better not be on one of your drunk flings again. You know I hate seeing such a handsome man in such a state," she scolding wagging a finger at him.
Jeremy groaned and covered his face, "Anna Bell your embarrassing me," the older woman always acted like a mother when ever he was here, she was always fussing over him, "This is Faye," he said introducing them, "The woman I'm interested in, and I'm not drunk. That was one time 3 years ago, when are you gonna let it go?" He whined as the older woman smiled brightly at Faye now.
"It's nice to meet you Faye, I'm Anna Bell, I look after Jeremy when he comes in. You know a nice young man like him needs someone to look after him," She said squeezing Faye's hand lightly, "I hope you'll come around more often, he needs someone like you in his life. I obviously haven't beaten him over the head enough drinking is going to kill him," she paused shooting Jeremy a red hot look that made him look away from the two woman looking sheepish, "Anyway, what'll you have to drink sweetie?"
If Jeremy could have curled into a ball of mortification he would have. This was why he needed to find somewhere else to eat and hang out, this place was going to turn him into knots.

Faye tilted her head as she looked at him, her dark eyes sparkling, him keeping her interested, trying things that would keep her on her toes, she didn’t know any one who had done that before, once they had her they just fell into a comfortable routine, they both knew the other person, there was no need to try, because the hardest part was over, getting her, yet keeping her interested, safe, that was a different story, she got nervous easy, always waiting for the second things went wrong, when they would turn on her.
A soft blush crossed her lips at his words, and she lowered her gaze momentarily, she didn’t know what to say, nor whey she had deserved a guy like him to come across her, to treat her in a way that he had. Licking her lips she finally lifted her gaze, and they turned, slightly confused onto the older woman that had just approached her.
“it’s a pleasure to meet you Ma’am” Faye offered the older woman her hand, and was warmed at the gentle, almost loving touch that came from the complete stranger in front of her. Her gaze turned back towards Jeremy with a raised brow, “Well hopefully im not gonna have to beat him over the head, to get that through his skull” She stated softly.
The woman finally let go of her hand and she lowered it gently back into her knee, the older woman reminded her of her first boss in Miami, the old woman had doted on her, did everything Faye had ever asked, gave her shifts when ever possible, a roof over her head, it had been the only person Faye had hated to leave behind. With a wide smile her dark gaze turned back towards the elder woman.
“Ill just have a chocolate milkshake please” She stated softly, and as soon as Jeremy ordered she turned her gaze back towards him, “Now I know you need a new place to go” She teased, her voice light, “Must be nice to have someone care about you” She smiled, her dark eyes sparkling as she looked at him.
“Shes right though, the bottles gonna end up killing you” She stated it easily, there was no judgment in her voice, just hard truths, she knew why people turned to the bottle, she couldn’t blame em, but she knew the problems were always there at the end of the day.

Jeremy shook his head, "There will be no beating me," he said once the older woman left, "I know but it's a little bit better then the smoking habit I had to break," Jeremy looked at Faye and shrugged slightly, "It's nice, but sometimes she reminds me too much of my mother, which doesn't help me at all."
He sighed leaning on the table as he looked into Faye's dark eyes, he knew there were certain things about himself he needed to change for her, but for some reason that didn't make him nervous for once. If you had told him a year ago that in a few months that he would find someone like Faye and that he would be willing to change for her, he would have throttled them while laughing.
He shook his head smiling wirily, "Thank you."

Faye smiled softly over at the man in front of her, slowly nodding her head, “Oh I know all about that” She stated with a small smile. Licking her lips she continued to gaze back at him, dark eyes sparkling with every second she sat there in front of him. Heaving in a soft breath she let it out slowly. “Don’t worry I aint expecting it to happen over night” She stated, nor was she actually expecting him to change at all, she was sure there was a valid reason behind his drinking, not that she actually understood, because it was always there when the drink wore of.
Her brow furrowed ever so slightly and she tilted her had to the side, “For what” She questioned softly, slightly confused at his words, what the hell was he thanking her for, if it was any one who needed to thank any one, it was her thanking him for being there like he had been, even though she had been taken, he had stayed there with her.

Jeremy gave her a soft secretive smile, "For being here... there... For giving us," he said fingers motioning between them, "A chance. I guess it's also for understanding me, helping me. I know you probably don't think I should be thanking you, but I can't imagine why I wouldn't thank you."
He reached out his hand and slipped their fingers together. Jeremy was thankful to Faye, she had already helped him understand that if he really wanted to be happy he was going to have to change somethings. Mainly the drinking, the life he lived he wasn't going to be able to leave, but he could make time for Faye and because it made her happy, for his guitar.

Faye smiled, her other hand lifting to rest on top of his, slowly she nodded her head as she watched him before dropping her gaze. Drawing her lower lip between her teeth she brought her gaze back up to his face. “I know what its like….to have no one there” She admitted softly, “And I know how important it is to actually have someone care…makes all the difference” Licking her lips she blushed softly a soft breath falling from her lips as she squeezed his hand.
“Im a little naïve when it comes to some things” She stated with a smile, “But even I cant deny there’s something there” Shrugging her shoulders she smiled, “A friend of mines been helping me a lot, I guess iv decided not to live with regrets….not giving us a chance would have been a regret” Gently she brought their hands up and dropped a kiss to his knuckles.
Anna Bell returned with their orders and she smiled over at the woman, “Thanks Anna Bell”

The older woman nodded and ruffled Jeremy's hair lovingly, "You'd better not break her heart young man," she scolded before smiling softy, "You kids need anything else right now?"
Jeremy shook his head looking at Faye, "Nah I'm good, you?" he asked running his fingers through the mussed hair, trying to sooth it back out.
When Anna Bell left Jeremy looked at Faye, "Come on now knuckle kissing is my job," he teased softly, "To be honest it's been a while since I've had anyone. You would be the first one other then Anna Bell and my boss in almost 6 years I think," he said glancing up trying to actually think when the last time he had a fling was.
Shaking his head he glanced back at Faye lifting the mug of coffee to his lips, the caffeine suppressing the yawn that was building in his chest.

Faye shook her head, “No im good, thanks” She turned her gaze back towards Jeremy with a raised brow, “Now that right there is just dang depressing” She laughed softly, but became serious moments later, “Not that im one to talk, other then Jack, there was just Tristan” Her biggest regret, the guy who had literally destroyed her life, oh and of course Joker, but he was a one time thing, and she really didn’t wanna go there.
She lowered her head slightly to pull the straw between her teeth, the cool taste of the milkshake going down her throat soothed her mind, chilling her body ever so slightly. Lifting, she lifted her gaze, tongue darting over her lips to remove any trace of the milkshake
“Hopefully im gonna be better then Anna Bell and your boss” She teased softly, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “Or ill try any way” She didn’t really have any experience when it came to relationships, Tristan had been a constant thing in her life, and then Jack had come along and he had been pretty serious, but apparently just convenient.

"As long as you don't randomly lock pick your way into my apartment to sit and wait for me to come home after a long night to harass me about work your going to be miles better," Jeremy said smiling at her slightly.
He couldn't help but watch that tongue of hers, she was always licking or biting her lips and Jeremy was starting to keep his eyes always fixated on them. Tearing his eyes away from her lips he sighed softly, this woman was something else.
"I hope I'm going to be better then your last two relationships. I really just wanna see you happy no matter what," he said his face serious as he tried to gage her reactions.

One brow rose, "That just sounds creepy" She shook her head with a wide eyed expression, oh yea she could see why that relationship hadnt lasted very long. "As long as i get to see you, or at least talk to you im really not bothered about yoru hours" Shrugging her shoulders she took another drink of her milkshake, "I mean im a lawyer, my hours suck"
Laughing softly she tilted her head, looking at him, her thumb brushing over his knuckles, the more he spoke the wider her smile became, her heart fluttering beneath her chest, "I think you can do that" She stated honestly, "Just let me return the favour every once and a while okay"

"Yeah that's my boss for you," he said dryly as he shrugged, "Most of my work is on the road kind of stuff but I do will make an effort to keep better hours then the normal 12 hour shift I'm keeping right now."
He nodded, "Sure you can return the favor, it's not like I would ever tell you no in that aspect. I mean you've done more on the four occasions we've met then anyone in..." he paused seeming surprised, "Wow I can't even believe that it's been almost 14 years..."
Jeremy shook his head he didn't know how time had passed so fast, the past 6 years were almost a haze. They were filled of that void, that deep aching feeling of pain that had never went away. But here was Faye, who had pulled off years of misery and even started fixing the void.

Faye smiled, nodding her head slowly, she understood all to well what he meant in that department, time flew, especially when you were having fun, but the bad times they dragged, yet when you looked back on them it seemed as if no time had past at all. "Time flies right, i mean the last 24 years of my life seem like yesterday...even more so when i turned 16, after that it all one big blur"
She shrugged, turning her attention down to her drink, one big blur alright, one big freaking blur of punch after punch, spiteful words filled with hatred, and she had been to stupid to listen to her brother. Swallowing she lowred the drink down to the table.
"But the past is the past, we just gotta make our own tiem flying memories" She smiled, fingers brushing through her dark locks ofhair.

Jeremy shrugged, "I don't want the time to fly between us. I want everything to last, I want a year to feel like a year when I'm with you. We've both have lost a lot of time because of the bad shit, I don't know about you but I don't want that to happen while I'm with you."
He smiled and lifted her fingers to his lips his voice muffled by the flesh, "When I was with you, when I couldn't have you I didn't want to go back to reality, and now... I'm in a reality I never want to end. Nothing matters but you, you've become my reality."
Jeremy smiled at her as he lowered her fingers after placing a soft kiss to her knuckles, the smile was the one he had given her the first time he had held her. That soft smile filled of tenderness and adoration.
