Thread open to anyone
Only three weeks after Walter had handed Brian the papers for the new garage it was the day of the grand opening. An event that they had come up with to spread the word and get customers.
The place was already swamped with people who were here for the free BBQ and drinks, some for the car exhebition and some for the drifting going on on the track out back. Brian was rushing around between customers handing out flyers and the guy he had hired for the food who seemed udderly disqualified to grill some brats.

The yellow paintwork of the Skyline gleamed brightly under the sun as Leon brushed his hand lovingly over it. With a smile he pulled his keys from his pocket and turned his gaze towards his sister who was slowly making her way down the drive to the car, looking her up and down he simply shook his head. His sisters choices of outfits never did impresses him, and the outfit choice of cut of shorts, and tank top really wasn’t impressive. He however chose to say nothing, so far they had been remotely civil to each other, and he wanted it to remain that way. The only sound between them was the growl of his engine, and the boom of his baseline, and her occasional directions, it felt good to be on the open road once more. With a smile he pulled the car to a screeching stop, before stepping out. All around there were familiar faces and as they made their way inside he stopped to greet only a few.
“YOu’ve done good for yourself Dawg” His voice was deep as he clapped Brian on the back, his sister close behind.

The deep voice stood out from the others and made Brian turn around. He slapped Leon's hand to greet him and pulled him close. "Hey, man. Good to see you. How have you been." Their ways had parted a few months ago and Brian hadn't heard nor seen Leon. Next to him stood little Miss lawyer and a very-non-laywery outfit. "Faye, good to see you." He kissed her on the cheek. "me casa e su casa...grab a beer and a hotdog." Outback engines were howling as two guys tried to outdrift each other. "Good thing we have insurance!"

Faye smiled as she retunred the kiss to the cheek. With a smile, her gaze turned over to her brother who was had simply shrugged his shoulders, she could see he was dying to get his car on the track. Rolling her eyes she let out a soft laugh.
"PLace is looking better then last time" She stated with a wide grin, even the memroies of the last time she had been here couldnt diminish her happiness.

"Damn right, it does. We've busted our ass to open this quickly." He clapped himself on the chest. "It's pretty cool, huh? Small tour?" He could see Leon being more interested in the track than anything else. "Or do you want to head outback right away?"

"Allright, Missy." Brian wrapped his arm around her shoulder and playfully pushed her brother away. "Go get a beer and chill. We'll race a little later when the kids are off the track." Then he walked Faye around the garage. "Here we have the lifts, over there painting..." he got side tracked by a few people admiring the NOS tanks. He had to grin because the look on the kids face was probably the same Brian had had when he first got into racing at Harry garage 8 years ago.

Faye laughed shaking her head, she was so out of her league, she knew sheshouldnt have let her brother talk her into comeing but it got her out of the house, and away from all the work she was catching up on.
"I dont know how they do it, NOS scares the crap out of me" She laughed hopeing to gain some form of reaction from Brian otherthen the far out look he currently had across his face.

"No, you got that all backwards, Nos is the real stuff." He stepped over to the person looking at the tanks. "What kind of car are you driving?" The young guy almost looked scared. "None, I mean my moms car." He backed off and left.

Diablo let out a demonic howl as she drove into the garage with her car, several of the guys standing there howling back at her. They were some of her regulars from her old garage.
Grinning Diablo slipped out of her car and bounded up to Brian, "See, see I told you I could fill this place for ya. Cause when the Diablo's back all her eager puppies come a running," she said hugging him quickly as she waved to the other girl before being whisked away by the group of men who had howled back at her.
She glanced around for her temporary room mate, "Any one seen a massive beat up tank of a man?!"

"Haha! You wish, man. It's the RX8 that's gonna win, trust me." He laughed, shaking his head as he slapped the bragging guy standing next to him on the back. Some people thought they knew everything, and sometimes he was one of them, but with shit like this he knew what he was talking about, he didn't even need to see the end of it.
He took another sip from the plastic cup in his hand before he pushed himself away from the barrier he'd been leaning on. He had told Brian about a half hour ago, or was it an hour by now? that he'd help him with some promotional stuff, and he of course still hadn't done it. Easily distracted.. He dropped the empty cup in a bin on his way passed the track, heading back inside the garage where he had last seen his brother.
"Yo, bro! What was it you needed me to do again?"

Joker stepped from the basement with two large coolers on his shoulders. He made a beeline to the grill and bumped the man out of the way, "You're fired, enjoy the shows but get away from my grill." He dropped the coolers and kicked the lids loose to show beer, soda, and meat. He flipped the already overcooked meat into the trash and began tossing on his new stuff. "Steaks in eight, brats in five!" His voice boomed through the crowd.
Joker dropped his purple leather jacket on a nearbye chair leaving him standing in his green t-shirt and purple jeans. He looked around picking out his friends from the group and keeping an eye for any trouble. He spotted Diablo and Faye, with an evil grin he lifted two ice cubes and wanged them across the gap at the girls. Quickly he returned to cooking the meat while nursing a beer.

Diablo yipped in surprise as an ice cube hit her, turning she saw Joker trying to be inconspicuous as he maned to the grill, "TANK!" she yelled acting offended as she ran towards him and wrapped her arms around his middle briefly before pulling back swatting his arm lightly, "Your a jerk, just so you know. So you think this shindig turned out good? I mean I contacted every one I knew and did a job for, but there are more people here then I thought there would be."
For knowing the big guy for a little over a week and him staying at her apartment until Brian settled things with his wife, Diablo still didn't know that much about Joker. Other then he was a giant evil teddy bear and he worked out like a crazy person when he wasn't working on cars. The only reason he was a teddy bear, was because he put up with the hugs he got every time she saw him.
Diablo glanced up at him for a moment, "So question that I just realized... It is fine with you that I keep sporadically hugging you every time I see you right? I mean if it bugged up I could make a conscious effort not to..." she trailed off as her eyes caught the racing going on before she jumped back on her train of thought shaking her head, "I mean I could really try and not hug you every time I see you."

Joker wrapped his arms around her waist and bear hugged her while laughing. "That answer your question?" He let her go and flipped the steaks. "It's all good, I'm not as serious as I act. Just in a constant state of thought." He smiled and pointed at a guy reaching for another beer, "Grab a soda, you're getting too rowdy." He pushed the lid closed with his foot, try to argue and you're going off the cliff." His smile was viscious.

Joker dropped to one knee and lifted Faye in a modified fireman carry. "Brian we need a pool!" He shouted and spun around then set her back down. He was smiling widely, "Diablo, Faye. Faye, Diablo." He introduced the two and kept poking at the meat.

Faye laughed, she would have said he wouldt dare, but she knew for a fact he would, she was just glad Brian didnt have a pool...yet...laughing softly she hit him on the arm, shaking her head.
"Hey" She smiled, her attention turned towards the woman at her side, "I think we've met before" She shrugged, she didnt have a clue when she had met her, but she was sure she had.

The noise could be hear all the way down the street and the smell of barbeque attracted more people than just car enthusiasts. It couldn't hurt to do a little detour to check the noise out, which sounded just like engines to the motocrosser. Who knew, maybe there was a race going on even though he didn't know of any tracks around here.
The man pushed his shades up to the top of his head after he had taken his helmet off and hung it on his bike. His eyes briefly scanned the sign 'Grand Opening' before he stepped inside the large garage, which was filled with people. It was one heck of a cool place. Big, cool equipment and seemingly a race track in the back. No longer interested in the store he walked straight through to the back and checked out the racing going on. "Hey, man." He asked the guy on the grill. "Can I take my bike around the track?"

"Be my guest mate, free food, free drinks, and fun for all. Just do me a favor and don't get yourself hurt." He laughed and went back to flipping the food off the grill onto a heating tray then began shoveling more food back onto the grill. "First come first serve!" He shouted loudly.

"Cool, thank you." He snatched one of the brats from the plate and took a bite. "So I can just tear up the track. Awesome." With the brat in his hand he crossed the garage and swung his leg over his bike, put the helmet on and cruised around the side of the building. He waited for the two guys in dune buggies to finish their race and then hit the track. There weren't any jumps like on the motocross tracks he usually hit. This was made for speed and maybe drifting. So that's what he went for. The back tire of his Suzuki bike whirled up the dust spraying some spectators until they were covered. After three rounds he stopped to find somebody to play with. "Anybody here who wants to chase me around the track?"
