Han licked his lips, there had been word that Dom was back in town. He wanted to go see his old friend not to mention if Dom was in town then there was a chance there was trouble around, and who was he to walk away from that.
There were more reasons then trouble to go see the big man, after the disasters his life had taken, all he wanted to do was make sure he was still welcome in the 'family' he had come accustomed to. That and there was a big time gap where he hadn't heard from anyone, not even though less then desirable channels.
Han flipped his keys in his hand and looked at the RX before deciding to go ahead with it. Even if Dom wasn't at the Fort, Mia would be there and at least they could catch up on lost time. Slipping inside of his car he headed out towards the Toretto house his fingers drumming on the steering wheel as he gnawed at the inside of his cheek.
Pulling to a stop just outside the house, he shut off the engine and sat in the car for a moment before he got out his bag of snacks already at hand as he moved towards the back door. If he was still welcome here they would know it was family and not the cops that way. He popped a piece of candied ginger in his mouth before rapping on the back door with his knuckles.

The tomato rolled onto the floor and Brian's grip tightened around the knife in his hand when that loud knock practically maed him jump out of his skin. His head shot around and he saw a guy there he had never seen before. He walked to the door and opened it carefully. The guy was Asian- he could be one of Johnny Trans people and pull out a gun any second...but would he knock? "What do you want?" he barked out.

Han looked at the guy, and he didn't recognize him, not even a little bit, "Hey I'm looking for either Mia or Dom. Do they still live here?"
He was playing it safe now that there was a guy in the house he didn't know. If he had missed enough there was always that chance they could have moved. It wasn't as if he had kept that close of an eye on them while he was trying to keep his own head down and stay out of sight, not that he ever had any problems with that.
Han was watching the man with a careful eye, there was a knife in his hand and there was enough experience in his life that could tell him, one wrong thing and that knife would be aimed at him.

Mia stepped into the kitchen, eyes instantly turning wide at what she saw, “Han?” She smiled as she quickly stepped towards him, arms wrapping around his body with dark eyes sparkling with shock, “What are you doing here?” She questioned tugging him inside, her shoulder brushed against Brian and she snapped back to the here and now.
“Sorry this is Brian…my husband”

Han smiled at Mia and hugged her back briefly before she pulled him inside of the house, "I was around and I wanted to catch up with everyone. That and I heard your brother was in town, you know someone's gotta have his back and the more people that do the better."
He glanced over the man with the knife and blinked, "You got married... Congratulations," he said smiling at them, "I'm Han, I'm an old friend of the family," he said holding a hand out for the other guy to take.
He hadn't thought he had missed that much, but it was obvious he had. He had missed the marriage of one of his 'family' which was sad enough, without him knowing how long they had been married before he even found out about it.

If Mia thought the guy was okay and actually an old friends then he throw away his own reservations. He switched the knife to the other hand and offered him his right one. "I'm Brian." He grinned a little. "I was justr cutting some veggies...Han as in Han Solo?"Dom was in town traveled a little too fast.

Han laughed softly, "No, I'm no Han Solo," he could see the concern wash over Brian's face for a moment before it was gone, "Don't worry it was a rumor and you know how fast cops would trust the word of a couple of junkies. See I had hope, and even if it was false hope I'd at least get a chance to catch up with my favorite chicka," he said shaking the other man's hand.
He looked at Mia and smiled slightly, "Sorry I interrupted the dinner making, anything I can do to help out? Or is it better if I came back some other time?"
As much as he was sure Brian was the 'man' of the house, his wife was the one who ruled over it. After all she was a Toretto and they were the ones in charge no matter what.

Mia smiled as Han and Brian sized each other up, Brian trying to see if Han was worthy and safe, especially considering he had come in mentioning Brian, she smiled, licking her lips as she looked between them, a soft laugh falling from her lips, dark eyes sparkling. Han was exactly the same as she remembered him to be, shaking her head she looked over at Brian.
“You can join us“ She stated softly, “.Dom is, around” She stated with a laugh before Tyler chose that moment to create a fuss, with a soft smile she pressed a kiss to Brian’s cheek, “Ill get him” She stated softly as she excused herself from the room to retrieve her crying son

Han nodded, "Thanks Mia," he said popping another candied piece of ginger in his mouth as he looked towards the sound, "You even have a kid? Geez Mia how much did I miss, I didn't think I was gone for that long."
He was tempted to follow her but decided that her husband wouldn't take too kindly to a strange asian guy following after his wife. Not since there was a good chance the guy still thought he was a threat.
So instead of satisfying his curiosity he looked at Brian, "So what can I help with? Since I'm apparently staying for dinner I might as well give you a hand," he said popping another candy in his mouth.

Wondering what he was constantly chewing Brian handed him a small kitchen knife and motioned for the tomato that had dropped to the ground. "You can wash that and slice it up, and the rest of the veggies there." He moved away to the fridge and grabbed a beer. "Corona? Sorry, no Saporo."

Han snorted grabbing the tomato from the floor as he took the knife with the other hand, "Corona fine, I drank a lot of it hanging out with Dom's crew. The Saporo is just for when I'm in my own garage and can't get import beer without paying out the ass for it."
He moved to the sink placing the knife on the counter with his candy as he washed the tomato before he set about cutting it up resisting the urge to pop another piece of his candy in his mouth, "So what are we making for dinner? I mean you guys are not short in the veggie department."
Han was only mildly curious as he kept his ears open for any kind of danger as he was used to doing when there was people he didn't know all too well around. Sure Brian married Mia, which meant he was a decent guy, but even decent guys were dangerous until you really knew them.

Brian placed the pot on the stove and filled it with water to boil some rice. "Stirr fry..so how do you know Mia?" He was curious. Every once in a while a stranger of Mias past popped up. Usually they were friends or Doms gang but Brian had never met a previous boyfriend. Han didn't look her type though.

"I used to do jobs with Dom, met him at Racewars when it came down to Texas. I just kind of fell in with him, then we parted ways. He called me up for jobs a couple of times, but I haven't seen or heard from him since we jacked that gas truck in the Dominican. I got myself in some trouble when I was in Tokyo so I bounced and came back state side. When I heard Dom was back in town, I got this feeling I needed to check up on every one. That and see if there was anything I could do to help clear his name," he said shrugging as he worked, "The guy did everything to make sure Mia didn't fall into the same life he did. I've got a lot of respect for him and he deserves a break."
Han sighed softly as he finished his explanation, this would be the time that he would feel like he needed to apologize to the big guy for not being around more to help bust him out of trouble. Glancing at his candies he stabbed one on the end of the knife and pulled it off before popping it in his mouth. He really wished he hadn't started smoking.

Mia jiggled Tyler to get him to settle, Han being back in town was both a god send and a nightmare, it brought back far to many memories of how much her family had changed. It had grown so much in the short amount of time, and now it had lost members and gained some new ones. Pressing her lips to her sons head she sighed, she to was changed, more then she ever thought possible, for so long her brother had protected her from his life, but it didn’t seem to matter how much he tried trouble found the Toretto name.
Pressing her son against her hip she headed down the stairs placing the carefree and happy smile on her face, which she had worn only seconds ago. Stepping into the kitchen her gaze wondered around at the sight, and rolled her eyes, “Your getting the guests to help cook now?” She questioned her husband, while moving towards Han.
“I’d like you to meet our son…Tyler” She whispered softly, as the boys wide eyes turned to face the unknown man.

"Oh great." Brian mumbled when Han told him about the 'jobs'. So he was another one of the big family of criminals. They said this stuff as if it was the most normal thing to rob and steal. At least he would try and help Dom now.
"So before anybody else can tell this about me, I'll just do it myself. I'm the cop who 'busted' Dom when he was jacking trucks in Cali 7 years ago." Wondering what Han would say or do Brian looked at him.

Han snorted, "And yet you married into the family, not bad for a guy who 'busted' Dom and walked away," he said as he glanced back at Mia, "Wow look at this slugger, how old is he?" Han asked smiling at the almost shocked looking child.
The wide blue eyes on him were almost amusing, as Han glanced the kid on her hip over. He could see the Toretto in him even with that blond hair and those blue eyes.
"Hey Tyler I'm Han, one of your estranged uncles," he said softly as he glanced up at Mia making sure calling himself an uncle was in the clear with her.
The best policy he had was do not piss off mothers, or an woman with a big brother, because that had never ended well for him.

Introducing his son to friends made him proud. The kid was truly cute and usually in a pretty good mood so they didn't scare anybody off. "He's almost one, 10 months?" He asked Mia just to make sure. Brian shoved a piece of carrot in his mouth and offered Tyler some before he returned to slicing the meat. "So what now, Mia...rice?" He grabbed the package with sticky fingers. "Where are you from, Han?"

Han smiled at the kid once more before finishing up the veggies, "I'm from Texas, big shock I know but my parents moved there from Japan. They never went back so I guess I just wanted to see what it's like. Lots of Asian girls in basically no clothes, nice cars, drifters, and even better if you can do better then 180k no cop will ever attempt to chase you down. Best thing about Tokyo was the people there, they're a pretty respectful bunch, a lot different then the states."
He looked at the hot pan and poured some oil in before he tossed the veggies into the pan letting them simmer as he washed his hands and the knife. After drying his hands he stuck on it the bag of ginger candy and popped another one into his mouth. It was a wonder he wasn't fat from all the snacks he ate.

Brian leaned against the counter with his beer in his hand and shot Mia a quick look. He still wasn't absolutely convinced that Han was okay especially if he was making his money by stealing.
So he held out his hands for Tyler and said to Mia. "Why don't I give you two a minute. Seems like you haven't seen each other in ages."
With the kid in his arms he headed out the back door and over to the small sandbox they had set up for Tyler. He looked back at the house when Tyler happily dug in the sand and asked. "So what do you think of your new uncle?"

"I think he's gone through a lot to get back to the states." Dom said emerging partially from the garage his hands over his head half hanging on the ledge of the side door. "I got to Tokyo right after he left. People thought he died." Dom smiled slightly and walked over to see his nephew and brother in law. He was in a tight fitting grey sleeved shirt and loose fitting jeans.
Brian looked tense but in his shoes it was understandable, not many people fought that line between the law and the lawless. It seemed not long ago that line was clear for himself but as things and time passed he was begining to look back at his life and trying to get on the right side of the line. "How's Mia doing?"
