"Yeah, I can wait." Brian replied and tried to focus on the heavy traffic rolling out of the city, which proofed to be quite the task with a head that was still slightly throbbing and felt strangely light.
When they finally reached their destination and the boy had settled down Mia enquired about the reasons for coming here. Brian killed the engine and took off his seat belt. "Isn't it obvious?" He watched her but she seemed to need an explanation. "We have something to celebrate and since I was way to hung over this morning I figured we should come here." Truth be told he was still hungover and in pain but the dissappointment in Mias eyes made him get his act together and actually show her that his first reaction wasn't quite what he felt. "I'm sorry that I reacted so weird this morning. I just wasn't myself and you totally caught me off guard." Quickly he grabbed her hand. "You mean the world to me and Tyler does as well. So will this little bean." He smiled a little and hoped she would understand.

Finally Brian seemed to be accepting the news and happy about it, smiling she let out a breath and reached across the gap between them and draw him into a kiss, “I love you so much” She whispered softly, clear dark eyes sparkling when she draw back, fingers brushing over his cheek. Heaving in a breath she let out smiled, “Ill drive back” She stated as she shifted out of the car, leaning into the back seat she removed Tyler from his car seat, pulling him tightly against her body, dropping a kiss to the top of his head she let out a soft sigh. “So what exactly happened, Faye didn’t fill me in”

Brian watched her pull Tyler out of his seat and kiss him. It looked real cute. Unfortunately she proceeded to ask uncomfortable questions like 'what happened'. Brian tried not to look irritated but held his breath for a moment. "Hm, not much." That was truly an understatement. Brian walked towards the restaurant and hoped she would follow but Mia kept waiting for the answer. "I guess you deserve to know how much of an idiot I can be." He muttered under his breath. "We got drunk over a long drinking game of pool and then decided to race.... a decent car." He paused hoping that would be enough of an explanation to satisfy her.

Mia couldn’t help it, she stood there and burst out laughing, licking her lips she held Tyler to her as she laughed, dark eyes sparkling with amusement, “Oh Brian” Licking her lips she moved towards her husband and wrapped an arm around his waist following him into the restaurant. It was just as amazing as the last time she had been there, and it gave her the chills, to remember how amazing their time had been the last time they were here. “Bri when all of this is over I want to renew our vowels” She stated turning dark eyes towards him. “I want all our family there, and this little one” Her fingers moved down to her stomach, smiling.

A young waitress in a long hippie dress approached the couple and Brian asked for a table for four' and earned a weird look. They followed the woman to a table at the window overlooking the ocean. He raised his brows at Mia. "You want what? We've just gotten married!" He grinned and shook his head. Then he reached across the table for some bread sticks and offered one to Tyler. The kid reached for it and stuck it in his mouth and started sucking on it until it turned to mush. "It must have been up at the cottage..." Brian got a little lost in thoughts.

Mia laughed softly, dark eyes sparkling “Yea I know but not every one was there, our family is so fractured Brian” Sighing she shook her head, the idea of actually being able to tell her entire family how much she loved Brian made her heart soar, she wanted to be able to share her life, and her children with the people who had been the most important people in her world.
Licking her lips she let out a breath as she settled into the seat, her gaze turning to Brian, “Maybe, I haven’t worked the dates out yet” She stated softly as she looked over at him. Her brow knitted ever so slightly. “You are happy about this right I mean your not just saying your happy”

He shook his head immediately. "No, I'm not just saying that." His hand reached across the table for hers. Brian was about to look into her eyes and tell her...yeah, what? That he loved her and every thing was super? It was but he still felt confused. He opened his mouth but then just looked at her. "I am happy. I swear but I'm also confused. Mostly because I fucked up last night and I'm worried about the thing, you know, with your brother." His eyes darted around to make sure nobody was listening in. "Do you understand that? I feel irresponsible but that doesn't change the fact how much I love you and that I'm happy about you being pregnant again. Do you know what I mean?"

Mia smiled as he reached for her hand, dark eye sparkling as her fingers wrapped around his own, a nod followed, letting him know that she understood. “I do Brian I really do” Licking her lips she draw her lower one between her teeth as she watched him. “Il say it again Bri im not expecting you to change, just be more careful” A soft sigh left her lips and she lifted his hand, pressing a kiss to his knuckles.
“I love you, and everything is gonna be okay” She was still unsure of who she was actually trying to convince, her, or him. It was a mixture she guessed, both of them needed some reassurance, yet whether everything would be okay or not, well they were entirely different.

It was nice to see that she was relaxing a little and beleived that he actually thought this was good news. Yet she reminded him to be careful which painfully reminded him of what exactly he wasn't: responsible or careful. Never had been. Maybe he just didn't have it in him, maybe this was exactly what made him a bad father- he was irresponsible. Brian lowered his head and took a drink of water from one of the glasses the waitress had placed on the table. He late his eyes wander away from the table and out the window at the ocean. The waves were barely visible until the started breaking at the shore below them. It seemed so peaceful, so wide. For a brief moment he wondered what it would be like just to put his family on a boat and get away from it all. Of course this was no way of dealing with things. He shifted a little uneasily in his seat and rested his hand in his lap. Then his eyes met hers again. "How do you expect me to help your brother and be careful?"

Mia watched her husband with a careful eye, she often wondered how Brian could think he could get away with not talking to her, if he honestly thought pretending everything was fine made it so, because in her experience pretending didn’t make anything fine, in fact it tended to make things worse, and the last thing they needed was more trouble. Licking her lips she sighed, Brian seemed to be okay, but she knew him long enough and she hoped well enough to know he wasn’t, not by a long shot. Tilting her head she draw her lower lip between her teeth, letting a soft breath fall from parted lips. They were celebrating good news, so she would let it slide, for now, later though she’d call him on it.
Laughing softly she rose a brow as she looked at him, dark eyes wondering from his face to the cliff face, and the soft rolling waves crashing against it. It was peaceful and violent at the same time, and she knew that in years to come those very waves would have carved away at the cliff, beauty was always so dangerous. “Make sure there’s no risk Brian” She rose a brow as she lifted her gaze to meet her husbands, “If there’s a slight risk of this going wrong call it of” She let out a sigh, she didn’t want to call it of, this job meant her brother possibly walking, no it meant him walking, she knew Faye wouldn’t have suggested it if it wasn’t possible.

The woman could read him like a book. Not only had she known him for a while but she was simply good at reading people. One of her many talents. He looked back at her with a slightly sad expression. How should he break it to her that there was no way of freeing Dom without taking risks. He placed his left hand on the table and turned it palm up so she would place hers in it. "Mia." He took a breath. "If that's what you want I have to call it off right away." For a brief moment he bit his lip searching for some nice words to sugar coat it. "Messing with the FBI always means taking a risk. I don't know how big it will be though."

Licking her lips Mia sighed and let out a breath, could she leave the team one man short, one of the best drivers out on the street simply because she was worried about what would happen. What she wanted above anything else was her family to be together, and if doing the job meant…shaking her head she smiled up at Brian.
“Im just being silly, hormones” She muttered with a shake of her head, dark eyes sparkling as she watched her husband, “I trust you and Joker” Smiling she turned towards her son, gently wiggling his foot, smiling and brushing a hand through over his head.

He understood where she was coming from. It wasn't Mia's fault her brother had chosen a criminal career and was never available for her. She still loved him and wanted him around. Nodding he mumbled. "I know you need him. It's not your fault he's been found guilty too many times."
Her next words meant that she trusted him but Brian had a really bad feeling about his drunk driving stunt so instead of being happy about her words they almost stung. How could she trust him if he was acting like an 18 year old? He looked away and didn't say anything. Instead he watched her interact with their son. "You're such a great mum. I'm glad we'll have another child."
Soon the waitress came over. She was a young, bubbly red head, who suggested different variations of squid as the sepcial of the day. The thought alone made Brian's stomach turn. "I'll have a soup and bread." He proceeded to play offer Tyler the menue. "What about you? You want the squid?"
