Brian's answer aggrevated Hobbs even more. He forced his pistol against Brian's forehead. "Don't play games! I saw her get into that black car and haul ass out. Where is she now? Huh? Who's car is that?" Hobbs was so tempted to pull that trigger, all the grief over his daughter this one idiot caused him.

The way the steel got shoved against his forehead let Brian know he wasn far from the man pulling the trigger. The thought alone made him tremble. Yet he stay hard. Mira had given up everything for him. Brian wasn't about to give her up. "How am I supposed to know where she is? We had no idea you were going to show up!" That wasn't even a lie. Brian's eyes darted around for some way out. "What do you want from her?"
The two Japanese cops were now running towards the wrecked car and while one of them waded into the water the other one fired of a warning shot. "Stop. Hands up or I shoot"" He exclaimed in good old western movie fashion.

Hobbs was ready to pull the trigger, but something told him not to. He drew his gun back and and traded it for his handcoffs. All the stress of this operation was really starting to bring him down. "She's my daughter, asshat. You're under arrest, and you better start talking at the police station. There's people who want you dead." Without thinking he briefly eased his tension on Brian to turn him around on his stomach.

Cole felt himself lose pretty much all the strength he had. He coughed up some blood and seriously felt like he was dying. He faintly looked at Mira. "Hell no, we succeed as a group, we fail as a group." He then got the idea that maybe Brian had better luck. As he saw the police running towards them. He whipped out his cell phone and texted Brian a quick message. "In trouble by north side tunnel on swirlback mountain." As the cops aimed their weapons at them. He raised his hands and managed one last sentence to Mira. "Don't lose hope yet."

So this was more than a job for the man. It was personal, which wasn't hard to guess. It made the situation much worse because there were emotions involved. Brian knew what was about to come when he heard the word 'arrest'. He could practically feel the steel snap around his wrist. The split second of unawareness was his opportunity. He brought his knee up into the mans crown jewels which might be the only sensitive thing on his body and scrambled backwards, jumped to his feet and made a run for it. Unfortunately there was nowhere to run so he found himself at the edge of the building looking down at a street 5 storeys below. He didn't have a choice though unless prison or a bullet between the eyes were an option so he took a few steps back and then tried to to the impossible: Leap to the building on the other side of the alley, which was at least 5 meters away.
Next thing he knew was that he was falling rapidly. 'I'm screwed.' shot through Brians head a second before his hands brushed by something and instinctively held on to it: The top of a scaffold on the other building. He had no idea how but he managed to hold on to it with everything he had.

Once they made it through the water the cops easily caught up with the two car crash victims. Both of them didn't know what these Americans were wanted for but that it was bad enough to chase them in Japan. Raising their guns to eye level they exchanged a glance as they saw that both were covered in blood, the guy was even coughing up blood. These two were in no condition to put up a fight or run nor did they have any weapons. "You are arrest." One said in broken English before they exchanged a few words in Japanese. The other one nodded and while he kept his gun at aim he pulled out some rubber gloves and told Cole. "Lay down...accident bad hurt." "Ambulance comes."
He then radioed in that they had capture the suspects on the joined frequency of Japanese police and FBI.

"Cole just go!" mira was close to begging him now. "Find Brian and leave!" She knew that she was more likely to be given a lesser punishment then they would, with her being preganent and all. She leaned against the totaled car and looked at him. "Just go!"

Carefully the cop approached her and lowered his gun to grab his handcuffs. He closed them around her right wrist and then her left. Then he motioned for her to stay put. The other guy saw that Cole wasn't putting up a fight other than staying alive and put one handcuff around his wrist after he put his gun back in his holster. "No run."

Cole nearly collapsed. "I couldn't run if I wanted to." He gave up a little more blood. A tear almost came to his eye as he looked over his pride and joy, that now had a small fire brewing in the engine compartment. He shot the officer who held him a sharp look. "You know you didn't have to shoot the wheel at that speed." He shook his head. Now he had to start thinking, he was probably going to be put away for a long time if he didn't make some kind of deal with the cops, that is, if he was still alive tomorrow.

Japanese cops At first the officer tried to explain something about the speed limit and stopping when told to to Cole but then he saw the blood on the young mans lips, that were turning blue, and was getting worried. The American seemed pretty unstable and the hacking caugh brought up blood, which simply wasn't a good sign. On the contrary: It looked like maybe a rib had punctured his lung. Worried he waved his friend over and discussed what to do in Japanese. Again he radioed for the paramedics.
The sudden grip on the scaffolding had put extreme strain on Brians arms and injured shoulder. He could feel his fingers slipping. In panic he looked down at the street three stories below him and then up at the roof top where Hobbs was. He simply couldn't pull himself up onto the plank when he was dangling on his finger tips only. Right then his phone vibrated in his pocket.

Thinking about what to do next got very difficult. It felt like Cole's brain had lost blood, and he felt himself starting to pass out. It got harder and harder to focus, and he always thought the saying that your life flashes by you in near death situations was bogus. But suddenly all the last month's events started playing through his head, how he got here, why he was here, all the races he won, meeting Neela again...He hardly had time to sort through any more, he let himself black out.

A few minutes later a second helicopter approached the scene. From the air they could already see the car wreck, the cops, a woman and a person on the ground.
To save time the heli hovered above th ground close by and let the paramedics jump out before he landed further away.
The men assessed the crash victims briefly and decided to the uncoscious man first. After cutting his shirt open and listening for his breathing they agreed on a quick preliminary diagnosis. "Lungs collapsed."

Hobbs cursed heavily as Brian got away. He couldn't believe he just let Brian slip through his grasp like that, he was cunning for sure. What was even more surprising was when Brian attempted a suicidal jump...and just about suicided. Hobbs got on his radio. "O'Conner is hanging on the scaffold of the green tower. Get up there!" Hobbs debated about trying to land on the scaffold himself, but Brian was trapped, so there was no need. "Nice move O'Conner, but it didn't do shit for you." He smirked looking down on Brian.

Above his head Hobbs was talking down to him as if the situation wasn't already bad enough he radioed for back-up. Brian desperately tried to get a better grip on the board but his fingers slipped. A splitsecond later he fell-unfortunately unable to defy gravity. Next thing he knew he massively crashed into a number of small metal garbage cans with an ear shattering sound. His legs took most of the impact and the cop groaned loudly thinking that he had broken every damn bone in his legs for a long painful moment.

Police forces heard Brian's fall and rushed over to the scene. Hobbs meanwhile rushed down the stairs to reach Brian himself. Within seconds, a lone cop approached the trash littered area Brian had fell in. "See hands!" The one officer spoke in broken english, gun drawn.

Just when Brian was counting his bones and was struggling out of the garbage with pain contorted face he came face to face with a japanese police officer who was pointing his gun at him. Brian had to think fast and fight through the pain if he didn't want to end up behind bars. So he raised his hands to show them and reach forward, pretending to grab the edge of a garbage can but quickly snatched the gun out of the cops hands. The accidentally released bullet dissapeared in the garbage next to Brian's shoulder. for a split second he stopped breathing thinking he had been shot in the shoulder again but then realized he was okay and jumped forward, grabbing the cops head and pulling it towards him. It connected with the metal of the can and gave Brian enough time to make a run...or better...hobble for it.
before anybody could follow him he ran down the street by foot, changed to the other side, onto the sidewalk, through a restaurant, out the back and into a nearby store where he hid in the storage room near the bathroom.
His pulse was peaking and he had a hard time slowing his breathing down to a rate where he could call Mia. Gazing down at the blood smeared lower half of his jean he waited for her to pick up, then gasped. "Mia, I need you! Quickly. I'm in trouble. Come get me at...." his eyes darted arund at the labels of some boxes. "The...lucky basket store. Now!"

Her phone rang and she answered the call, the moment she picked up Brian's voice was desperate and shouting, he didn't sound ok. She waited for him to tell her the location where he was. "I'm on my way," she simply said as she turned the ignition of her car (she rented the day before), the car picked up speed and in no time she was at the 'Lucky Store Basket'
She dialed Brian’s number, her heart skipped a beat as she looked around, his phone rang a second time and finally he picked up the phone “I ‘m here,” she told him as her brown eyes searched for him; she fought the fear that was starting to rise within her when she received the blonde’s ex cop.

The minutes that passed until she arrived and he had to stay put seemed awefully long. Brians phone rang and she told him that she was here, so he struggled to his feet and tiptoed back into the store where a curious store owner looked at him. Brian looked out the front window, which was filled with colorful, blinking crap and spotted her in a white sedan. So he took a deep breath to gather his courage, who knew maybe the area was swamped with cops by now, waiting to pick him up on the side walk. From here he could see any though. So he opened the door, which jingled joyfully, and limped to her car as quickly as he could, tore the passenger door open and dropped himself onto the seat gesturing wildly. "Drive, dive, drive, the FBI found me...and japanese cops, just go!"

Hobbs saw a white honda accord suspiciously parked in front of some funky shop. Just as he was about to call over his squad, he saw Brian jump in the passenger seat and the sedan fly off. "Fuck! That's O'Conner!" He pointed to the Honda. He as well as his squad started firing rounds at the sedan. There only hope was to immobilize it, it'd would be long gone by the time they ran back to their squad cars.

She did as she was told and drove away as quick as she could. "Oh crap," she said outloud as she heard more shots. She looked at Brian and was shocked to see how bad he was, she kept her mouth shut for a moment. "Where exactly are we going?" she questioned him, her own heart pounding, adrenaline invading her bloostream. She was starting to panic, damn cops.
Just when she thought they were safe a bullet went through the back winshield of the white sedan, she screamed as little pieces flew to them as she tried to keep increasing the white sedan speed trying to get away from them.
