She blinked when she felt something warmed covered her naked body and then she heard her name. No need to guess who it was; she didn’t say a word for a moment. How could she tell him she was like that because of that girl? Not only was the blonde girl his girlfriend but also the mother of his child, that what hurts the most, to see him having a new life without her. But what was done…was done. There was no way to change that.
“I’m fine, don’t worry so much,” she tried to reassure him, but she didn’t believed her own words. Avoiding his question about the real reason she was crying.

Brian could feel the cold droplets soak through his own shirt beside her shaking and sniffing. "No, you're no." He stated while he rubbed her back to comfort her and warm her up. "Look at you. I might be insensible but not blind!" For a moment he just held her tight looking for the right words. "It's because Mira is pregnant, isn't it." He pulled back a little to look at her. "I never expected you to come back into my life again, Mia. You didn't want me around. If I had had any hope I would have waited for you."

Her back didn’t feel that cold anymore, but she kept shaking a little. Brian could read her like a book; he knew everything about her and her silence about her being like this because of Mira proved him that he was right. But the worst part of it all was the fact she was the one who pushed him away, every word coming out of his lips was nothing but the damn truth.
If she hadn’t decided to run away, if she had stay, if she had thought better about her actions then he might still be with her and not away from her. She had to start the process of getting him out of her heart; after all it was her who created this.
Her hands were shaky as she removed his arms from around her body. She couldn’t break, not again, not in front of him. “I’ll be out in five minutes. We still need to go to the hospital to find out Cole’s condition, and also to see how Mira and your baby are doing,”

That was, of course, the main priority and got Brian back on track so he stood up and nodded. "Yeah, you should hurry...if you can." His worries about his friends was coming back at high speed and he wanted to get to them as fast as he could. In the door he stopped once more. "Am I right?" For some reason he needed to hear it from her.

She looked at him not saying a word instead she stood up with the towel wrapped around her body. “Please…” she begged him as she motioned with her hand outside of the bathroom.
Couldn’t he see she was having a hard time? Couldn’t he see she wanted to scream? Her left hand moved to the door knob so tight that her knuckles were becoming white and honestly the least she wanted to do now was talk to him. Emotions were bottled up within her and she was afraid to let it all out specially with Brian. He didn’t need that right now.

Brian didn't feel right about leaving her alione with whatever she was dealing with. "You came all the way here to help me...now let me help you." He then took a deep breath and stepped outside so she could get dressed. Time was precious right now and they could talk on their way.

Could he really help her? She closed the door and after five minutes she came out, her long hair was damp, but she didn’t care about that right now. “Let’s go,” she simply said. “Do we even know in what hospital they are right now?” she ask sitting on the driver's seat, closing the door and turning the ignition.

"My guess would be the biggest one in town with a helicopter platform." He looked at her briefly. Mia's eyes were still red but she was't sniffing or shaking anymore but had pulled herself together so Brian let it go for now.
Then the search started...one hospital after the other, one admissions desk after the other. By midnight Brian was incredibly tired, worn out and too sore to move but he wasn't going to give up. "Mia, you can go to our hotel. It's really late. I'll drop you off and keep seraching."

“There is only one hospital we haven’t search so far,” She made a U turn and kept driving. She looked at him quickly; he was tired but wouldn’t give up the search, he could see that worry look in his eyes.
“No, Brian. That is not going to happen,” She wouldn’t feel comfortable leaving him behind the wheel. Tired, worn out and sore were not a good combination.

At the last hospital, that had a heliport Brian more or less roled out of the car and announced. "I'm coming along." He needed to see Mira and know she was alright. It had also dawned on him that leaving her behind wasn't a good idea and the initial plan to have the FBI on his tail and away from them hadn't fully worked.

They walked in the hospital that seemed not so busy at the moment. A short nurse wrote down something taking the phone in her hands and asking the person at the other end of the line for a doctor, the nurse finally placed the phone on its base and turned to Mia.
“Hello, how may I help you?” the nurse asked in perfect Japanese.
“Hi, some friends of ours were transferred to this hospital. They were involved in a car accident, and we’d like to see them,” She explained in the same language as the nurse.
Mia provided the names of the two people her and Brian were looking for. She informed to Mia that Cole’s condition was critical, but didn’t know about Mira. Mia thanked the nurse, and she turned to Brian.
“This way,” she told Brian. Their footsteps were the only ones that could be heard in hallways of the hospital.

Brian listened to Mia's Jpanese answer in awe and whispered. "What did she say? And where did you learn that?" With each step Brian felt his heart race more and his chest tighten. He was afraid...of being caught, of what he might find when he saw Mira, of Cole not pulling through. A good reason to hurry up. At the end of the corridor he pulled Mia into a changing room where he found the perfect disguise: As doctor. Even though he wanted to see his friends he didn't want to risk getting caught. "Do you think anybody's going to recognize me like this?" OOC: Thank you, Mr. Walker, for the wide range of pictures in all possible and impossible situations!

“She told me that Cole’s in critical condition, but doesn’t know how Mira is,” she knew her answer was not going to be a good one, so she waited for his reaction. They were almost at the end of the corridor when she felt Brian’s arms pulling her to a changing room.
She placed some blue scrubs over her clothes combing her hair with her fingers and go from long hair to a messy ponytail, and Brian changed his jeans for some scrubs, a white coat and a mask, so only his blue eyes were seen and not his entire face. “No, I don’t think so. Are you ready?”

Mia looked professional in her outfit and was hard to recognize so Brian figured they wouldn't be detected. He nodded. "I'm ready." and stepped back out in the hallway together with Mia. "Which floor?" He muttered under his breath and then followed her directions until they found the right section of the hospital. A few times Brian pulled Mia back when he though he saw Americans. "Maybe FBI." He explained.
Finally they got closer and slowed down. "Okay, you go inside. I'll stay here and keep my eyes open. If I see cops I try to warn you. If I can't I'll hide. They won't arrest you."

She looked at Brian and nodded. “Ok,” she simply said looking around. She entered to and covered her eyes; the walls were so white that it was almost blinding her from seeing what was in front of her. A young man lay on the bed same color as the walls, he looked alert. “Brian, you can come in.” She turned around walking outside the room. It was her turn to see nobody was coming.

Brian braced himself for what he would see. Was Cole smashed to pieces, paralyzed or only had a few scratches. Taking a deep breath he could feel his own hands shake. After all Cole wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Brian.
In one of the two occupied beds was the young guy. The monitors and tubes gave Brian the creeps as they meant his friend wasn't in a good condition. There were two tubes on either side of the racers bare chest. With a blank expression, hidden behind a mask, he stepped closer his blue eyes fixed on Coles face, who apparently didn't recognise him. "Cole!" He touched his shoulder. "How are you?"

Cole was half sleeping when what he thought was just another doctor entered. But the 'doctor' exclaimed his name in Brian's voice. He gave the man an odd look but then realized it actually was Brian. "Brian?! What the hell are you doing here? How'd you even get in?" His chest hurt at his sudden intake of air, which painfully reminded him he couldn't talk real fast.

"I snuck in." He explained and quickly looked around. "What's wrong with you? I didn't see any cops. Are you under arrest or can we get you out of here?" Brian knew they had to act fast before Cole would get arrested and never escape.

"There's probably no cops cause they know I can't go anywhere." He laughed, which also hurt. "I have a collapsed lung and a few other things, they say I'll be fine...eventually." He looked around the room. "I hate hospitals so much. Is Mira okay?" He felt pretty guilty about her condition.

Brian was worried about the lung condition, which sounded dangerous and also meant he couldn't leave. "What does that mean? Can we sneak you out?" The fact that Cole hated hospitals didn't interest Brian much. He hated them himself with the sterile smell, the tubes and needles but every once in a while they were a necessity as when he had been shot. This situation reminded him of his own fate maybe 3 weeks ago. But now it was his turn to bust Cole out. Then Cole brought him back to the point by mentioning Mira. Brian's face dropped. "I have no idea if she's okay. I thought you could tell me..." And suddenly there was this anger flaring up. "Why did you roll the car, Cole...you were driving, weren't you? I'm telling you, if you hurt her I'll kill you!"
