"Dispatch. This is Ocean 08. I'm in pursuit of a 10-57. Corner of Gladview and NW 17th. Black Honda NSX."
His hand wrapped around the stick so tightly it seemed to become one with the unusual police car as he slammed in second gear and slid around the corner. The black tire prints left a nasty stench in the nostrils of a few shocked onlookers on the side of the road. The Honda was equipped with far more engine power but the officer was equipped with better nerves and skills. Brian O'Conner didn't even blink when a car pulled out of side road and missed his car by merely an inch. His foot only stepped on the gas a little more. Brian was focused on a task: Get whoever was stealing that beautiful car and put it on his trophy list.
(My apologies...)

The five finger discount NSX sifted through traffic on high speed as the driver's eyes turned towards the rearview mirror once more. The damned cop car was still hot on his tail no matter the amount of horses the Honda obviously possessed, but it wouldn't be for much longer. He knew this city, these streets, and he knew exactly where he was going. If he timed it right, and he meant really right, he'd be rid of the cop in no time.
"Fucking pig thinks he's got some skills, huh? I'll show you who's got skills." He growled as he pushed the NSX to the next gear. He took a sharp turn left, leading them on to a four lane street. More space for him to maneuver through the other cars, and more opportunity for the Honda to push out some real mph. The Miami police force still hadn't learned they needed bigger engines to decently keep up with performance cars such as this one.
"Come on, baby, loose that tail for me." He cooed almost lovingly to the car. He didn't care it was just a machine, or so most people would think (He didn't agree with most people.). He had once learned the hard way that treating your car like shit it was going to leave you high and dry, but whisper a few sweet words to it, and it would not disappoint, just like a fine woman.

As soon as the car was turning onto the busy 4 lane street the driver put the engine power on display, which caused the cop to smirk despite the gap between them getting bigger.
A moment later he closed the distance again. There wasn't a standard engine under the hood of this cop car and there never would be-not for the job the forced had given him. Without great difficulties he followed the NSX around cars no matter if he passed them on the left or right side.
Suddenly O'Conners pale blue eyes narrowed. Ahead the traffic was thinning out, which would mean that the driver of the Honda would be able to fully use his engine capacity. Brian had to do something fast. He geared down and swirfed around the next car on the right side, the blue lights on top of his car giving away that he could do whatever the F he wanted. His fender almost touched the rear of the vehicle he was following. "Where 're you going , sweetheart?" He muttered.

So the cop rather kept kissing his ass. It didn't matter to him. A sharp right was taken this time. The next street would lead them to something special, and he was more than curious to see whether the cop would follow him all the way through.
Further down the street cars were lining up in front of the red light and turning off their engines, but the Honda shot passed them all on high speed. The barrier cracked the windshield as the NSX broke through it. Every day the schedule for this drawbridge was the same, and he was only seconds away from doing something either really insane or really brilliant, though in his book those two went practically hand in hand. "Dukes of Hazard here we come." He mumbled before he took in a large lung full of air as his fingers curled around the gear knob.
"One.. Two.. Three!" On the third count, he shifted down. The RPM's shot up, the engine whirring and whining under the sudden change of gears as the driver's foot pushed down on the gas. The nose moved up along the ever gradually rising bridge before the rest of the car did, and it didn't take much longer before the wheels no longer had anything underneath them but air. "Hell yeah!" The loud cheer left the driver's mouth in that one moment of pure freedom.
Sparks flew out from under the chassis as the NSX landed on the other side of the drawbridge, and he was glad the axles seemed to have held out for the time being. Without taking a breather from the adrenaline rush, he shifted once more as the car crashed through a second set of barriers. The Honda wouldn't be worth shit after this ride, but how many times in your life did you get to fucking fly a god damned Honda?

Every other cop would have cursed out the driver who stole the NSX but officer O'Conner suddenly developed a kind of admiration. The guy had gutts and skills. At the same time it made him wonder how far he should go for the recovery of a stolen vehicle. Should he really put his own safety on the line? The thought was brief and disregarded immediately. Brian was too much of an instinct driver to think long and hard about pros and cons. Instead he geared down and swirfed around a waiting car. Only seconds after the Honda his own tires rolled up the bridge, that was now a few degrees steeper than before. He would need real power if he wanted to make it across. While his left hand gripped the wheel tightly to hold it on a straight line his left hand flipped the glove compartment opened and fumbled for the 'special' switch. As soon as his thumb brushed across it his car shot up the rest of the bridge powered by a whole tank of NOS. Nothing could beat this incredible feeling. It felt like being inside a rocket when the piece of metal launched up in the air and over the Honda. His heart skipped at least three beats and a wide grin spread on his features as a scream escaped his lips. Unlike the flight the landing was pretty rough. The sidewalk wasn't a good runway and made the car skid sideways. It threatened to roll. With shaky hands the cop tried to get his vehicle under controll and oversteared which resulted in a collision with the car he was pursuing.

A shadow was all he saw overhead. It should have made the driver wonder, but it never did.. not until the cop car landed smack-dab on the road in front of the Honda. "Holy shit!" A quick pull was given at the steering wheel in a failing attempt to prevent collision. The NSX skidded, sliding sideways with still far too much speed behind it all. The sound of the crash was a more than loud as the sides of the two cars collided.. and it was then that the engine of the Honda stalled and died.
"Come on, baby. Not now!" The driver mumbled as he turned the key in the ignition. The engine only sputtered. He glanced quickly at the car beside him, at the cop, as nerves shone in his eyes. GTA, more than a little reckless driving, damage to city property.. he had gathered more than enough offences in even the last five minutes to go down for a very, very, long time. "Start, come on, start." He muttered as he tried the key again and again, this time with a small dot of gas, and he could only thank whatever god was out there when the engine roared back to life.
Metal scraped against metal as the NSX peeled away from the cop car with smoking tires, moving around and back on to the streets. His chances weren't used up just yet as long as he got some real distance between him and the cop . He wasn't going down this easy, not without a fight and most definitely not without completely totalling the Honda if he fucking had to.

The impact of the two cars shook the cop in his seat and his head almost connected with the window. It took him a moment to figure out that the engine of the Honda had died. His hand was already on his seat belt to jump out and jank the other driver out of the hot but stolen car. "Gotcha, you son of a bitch." He yelled triumphantly. As soon as he opened the door the car roared back to live and he had to pull it close and rev his own engine in order to keep up with him. "Damn." Rolled from his lips as he pulled his car of the sidewalk and onto the street. At least the honda seemed damaged enough that O'Conner could keep up with him easily. He pulled up next to him and grabbed his micophone: "Miami PD. Pull over, you're under arrest." He glanced over at the driver who seemed to ignore him.

The engine of the NSX spluttered and rattled the more he pushed it. The driver gritted his teeth as his eyes glanced from the cop car now driving next to him to the dash in front of him. "Yeah, no shit, Sherlock!" He all but shouted at the angry red warnings on the board computer. He knew by now the Honda was loosing engine power at an unnerving pace, he didn't need to be told by the damned thing. The landing clearly hadn't been as smooth as he had initially thought, or had hoped for that matter. It must have fucked something up and than some. He should have known the car wasn't made for flying (as fun as it had been), let alone landing. The engine stuttered again. "Oh, come on! Not again, you fucking piece of shit! It's only a scratch!" He shouted as the car bucked, the engine faltering before roaring back up again. In one desperate attempt the driver pulled the e-brake, sliding the Honda in to a 180 turn away from the cop car. The NSX skidded, stopping sideways in front of an alley. The car blocked the entire entrance as the driver kicked open the busted up door and made a run for it by foot through the narrow street. He didn't know how hot the cop was on his heels, if the cop still even was, when he busted through the back door of some Chinese restaurant, ignoring the shouts as he pushed one or two people out of his way. He made his way through the kitchen and in to the main part of the restaurant, jumped over the counter and half stumbled passed the many tables with confused customers before he left the place through the front door. Finally back on a main street, he blended in with the rest of the people as he kept his pace quick in a (hopefully) inconspicuous manner.

Driving next to the now pretty beat up NSX the cop shot a glance at the driver wondering what kind of a guy would jump a bridge. Confused he stared at the man trough the cracked window. If O'Conner saw him right he shared a remote resamblance with somebody he knew all too well but hadn't seen in a few years: His own brother. "What the fuck?" Brian let his own car fall back when the other driver lost engine power and then sped back up to get a better look. Could that be? No, that had to be someone who just looked an aweful lot like Jack. The damn driver suddenly pulled a 180 and O'Conner who had focused too much on him and too little on the road had to swirf out of an oncoming cars way. Nervously he watched in his rear view mirror how the driver got out and ran away while he backed his own car up. By the time he slid across the beat up Honda himself and ran down the alley the guy had dissapeared into a building. All Brian saw was the lanky figure. He called out."Jack?" In the hustle and bustle of the restaurant the cop couldn't see him any more and after a few minutes let out a string of curses but gave up.
He returned to the car and radioed. "Dispatch, ocean 08, I lost the driver. The car's still here, send a tow truck. I need the prints of the driver."
