*This is not Cole Peyton, I am simply roleplaying several cops as they search through the cargo ship where the previous action took place*
From the outside, things looked fairly normal. Just a docked cargo ship, supposedly with a bunch of stolen cars inside. Police had the area tapped off, all that was left to do was to mark off the retrieved cars and find out who was responsible for the gruesome murders inside.
Sergeant Cross, the investigation group's leader, took two other officers to complete the duty. Officer Barkley and Officer Dihag.
*Earlier that day*
"911 what is your emergency?" A panicked dock worker had called the police when he saw two tied up bodies washed up to the shoreline of the dock yard. "Yes hi, uh there's two bodies that just washed up to the shore, a-and it looks like they've been tied up, and I-I heard gunshots go off in one of the cargo ships." He caught his breath. "Just please send the cops here right away."
Moments later, Sergeant Cross skidded to a stop in his dodge charger interceptor. Noticing a blue skyline parked, he quickly ran the plate number and got back the owner: Brian O'Conner. He drew his gun and proceded into the ship. Almost immedietly, the stench of blood and guts hit his nose, moments later, he walked in on a massacre. "What the fuck?" He checked several pulses and continued on. Suddenly, he heard some ill-patterened footsteps down the hallway to his right, turning, he recognized Brian, hands covered in blood with a gun in them. Sergeant Cross barked. "Police! Drop your weapon NOW!" He raised his own gun.
Brian slowly complied. "Get on the ground with your hands up fool!" Brian was trying to say something, but Cross wasn't concerned about whatever it was. He handcoffed Brian and led him out of the ship.
More police cars arrived, and Cross led Brian to the drug testing unit while Cross himself decided to search Brian's car. It didn't take long to find a pack of coke underneath the driver seat. "Well looky here." Cross said to himself. He walked back to the drug testing unit, where Brian looked like he was about to collapse. "What's the report?" He demanded. "He's loaded with coke, sir. It's a miracle he's still alive actually." Cross huffed. "Drugs make you do some freaky deaky shit, don't they O'Conner?" He lifted Brian's chin. "Get him to a hospital, we've already got enough on him."
*Present time*
Sergeant Cross briefed the other two officers what they were looking at. "What you all see here, is a cargo ship that was due to set off this morning. In it are over 30 stolen cars." He pulled out his list of recently stolen cars. "This is the list of all the cars we should find in here. If they're not all in here, then that means our job isn't over. So join me in hoping we find all of them today." Putting the list back in his pocket, he continued. "The bigger issue here, is that there are 13 bodies in there and 2 we recovered from the water. We need to find out who's responsible for this, and take him down. Unfortunatly, all suspected members of this gang have either escaped or been killed. So we need to start from scratch. Any questions?"
Officer Dihag raised his hand. "I thought we already had a suspect, Officer Brian O'Conner?"
Sergeant Cross looked him sternly. "Suspect or no suspect, we must find additional evidence, our job is never done until the second he's locked up."
They strolled through the ship, confirming the identities of each victim as they passed by. Most if not all the victims were either known or suspected criminals. Finally they got to the cargo bay, where multiple sports and even exotic cars were stationed. Some of the cars on Sergeant Cross' list were extremely rare supercars, some worth over a million dollars. One by one they checked off each car. "Hey Barkley, do you see a Lamborghini Gallardo anywhere?" Sergeant Cross asked, not seeing it himself. Officer Barkley soon spotted it. "Right over here, sir." Sergeant Cross continued. "What about the Ferrari Enzo?" Barkley continued looking. "I don't see it sir." Usually an Enzo would be easy to spot, given its radical styling. After searching through the cars once more, they never found the Enzo, and soon after discovered that 4 other cars were missing, and they happened to be the most expensive and valuable on the list.
Realizing they had been tricked, Sergeant Cross was beside himself. "God fucking damnit!" He threw his clipboard against a wall and pounded the hood of a Mercedes. "How could they just slip those cars out like that?" He continued on his rage. The missing cars were a Ferrari Enzo, a Koenigsegg CCXR, a Mclaren F1, a Pagani Zonda Cinque, and, valued at 3 million dollars, a Bugatti Veyron Supersport. That meant the total value was about 8 million dollars, well above the combined value of all the retrived cars.
Sergeant Cross addressed his two collegues. "From what we understand, they intended to export all these cars to Tokyo, since the ship has a Japanesse registration. That means these cars are probably well on there way to Tokyo on a different ship." Sergeant Cross had to whip the sweat off his brow. "So what's the next step, boss?" Officer Dihag asked. "There's nothing else we can do, except send some sort of strike team to attempt to retrieve the cars, but we wouldn't have the first clue where to start looking."
