The evidence was solid. Coke in the system, gun in the hand, dead bodies, even shot a guy in front of another cop, hell the guy even had a history of working with criminals. Everything was right there in front of her, from his workings with Dominic Torretto to the job he had done in Miami for the FBI, it was all laid out in front of her. It was a simple case, open and closed, and that was exactly what her boss thought, hence he had given her the case. She couldn’t screw it up. Yet there was a slight problem with that theory.
She didn’t believe the evidence.
No Faye knew Brian, not personally but she knew him. Her brother Leon had been apart of the Toretto case, he had spoken to her about him and from what her brother had told her she doubted Brian could have been so cold blooded to kill all those people, or be stupid enough to jack cars, or take coke. It just didn’t fit with type. SO with that in mind she made her way to the hospital, she needed to speak with Brian herself, then Mira the other cop.
Heaving in a breath she pulled her car to a stop, and made her way to the hospital, after showing ID she was shown into the room her gaze took everything in before landing on Brian.
" Officer O’Conner, Faye Perez, your Lawyer” She smiled and out stretched her hand.

The cop...or should he already refer to himself as ex cop had barely slept the rest of the night and wasn't only sore and desperate but now he was grumpy on top of everything else. Staring at the ceiling didn't provide any relief.
When the door got pushed open he first expected to see uniformed cops to either interrogate him or transfer him to prison right away.
Instead he was greeted by a young woman in an expensive looking skirt and blouse with her hair in a bun, who stretched out her hand as she introduced herself. Instinctively he tried to shake her hand but got held back by the handcuffs, that secured his wrists to the bed frame.
Of course he knew very well why she was here but still asked. "I'm surprised you bothered to make the trip here. What can I do for you?"

Her brow rose ever so slightly, she was shocked to see that both his wrists were handcuffed which was uncommon, obviously they really thought he was guilty. Sighing she took the seat next to the bed watching him with a furrow of her brow she was surprised also he didn’t recognise her name, or he was simply to tired to register.
“To clear your name” She stated honestly “Or at lease try” she didn’t know if she would be able to or she could, she was after all still new to al of this, by all standards still learning the ropes, but getting Brian free with so much evidence against him, it was going to be difficult.
“I have the crime scene reports in front of him, but first I need to know your side of events Officer O’Conner” Her gaze flicked back up to him with a raised brow, looked back down on the paper work and pictures in front of her, gruesome to look at but nesecerary
“Anything you can think of, or that would help with the investigation”

Obviously this lawyer had all the evidence against him and therefore knew more than he did. The cop in him immediately took over. "Can I see that?" Of course she wouldn't just hand it over to him. "They are blaming me for all kinds of stuff...I'd just like to know what evidence they actually have against me?" He looked her straight in the eye and into her pretty but awefully young face. So this was who his future life would depend on...a woman barely old enough to drink. "Listen, Miss..." Brian didn't really listen when she introduced herself. "I've worked as police officer for about 10 years and I know when I'm screwed so let me just see what you got, then I'll tell you whatever you want to know." Lifting his head to see her became quite hard and his neck became tense so he dropped it and watched her reaction. Scuse me, I'm a little image crazy lately

Licking her lips she let out a breath what he was asking went against everything she knew she shouldn’t do, but he looked so damn pitiful, sighing she nodded her head and allowed him to the take the files out of her hands, it detailed everything the cops had gotten from the boat, how it linked him to the theft of the cars, the murders, the coke in his possession everything, and if she didn’t do something he was facing a hell of a lot more shit then simple jail.
“Its Perez” She stated looking at him, wondering if this time he would catch on, if he didn’t her next words would jog his memory “I don’t think you did this” She stated letting out a breath she knew she needed to get him on side or she would have no chance of getting him to trust her.
“You were undercover on a street racing gang. You had a chance to make your name, yet you turned in your badge. My brother was one of those people” She stated “After that you moved to Miami, you helped the FBI break a drug cartel, and they expect everyone to believe your capable of everything in that file, im sorry I don’t buy it”
Looking around the small hospital room she sighed, “Now please, everything that might help you, even the smallest detail”

This young woman surprised him twice within 5 minutes. Not only did she actually hand over the files for him to look at but also did she state that she thought he was innocent. Apparently there was more to her than just a pretty face. Even though wanted to go through the files immediately he paused and listened to her explain what she knew about him, then stated dryly. "Thought that name sounded familiar but you don't look like him at all...Leon, right?" Despite the aweful situation he had to smile a little. "Yeah, good times." Back then he had first gotten introduced to his greatest passion- street racing. "So your his little sister? How is he?" He half heartedly asked while he was already going through the file. The pictures of the bodies made his smile fade and brought back the fear of that night. Memories shooting through his mind that he'd rather forget. The beeping of the heart rate monitor became faster giving away his agitation. "I did not shoot these people, I don't think." The last picture was a close up of the wound he had inflicted on the hostage. Brian paused his chest getting tight. After a moment he turned the picture to Faye. "I did that. I don't know why, not on purpose though. I wanted to shoot Walter, who held a knife to his throat." Brian kept turning page after page until he saw the list of evidence. "Coke...in my car? What the fuck? I swear to you I've never done coke in my life. Sure I smoked some weed when I was younger ..." Brian shook his head. "You know what? You're waisting your time."

Faye licked her lips smiling at him, her dark eyes sparkling it was good to see some form of life in his eyes “Yea, Lee, I get all the good looks” She teased laughing lightly at him. Letting out a breath her head rolled ever so slightly, swallowing her smile faded ever so slightly “He’s good, hes er in jail, he got caught about a year after the heists” She stated softly.
Her gaze snapped to the heart monitor and she let out a breath “Brian calm down” She stated glad when the monitor actually did start to calm some. Letting out a breath she watched him flipping through the pictures her brow creasing at the name. Walter, it had to be a coincidence, right?
Looking towards Brian she shook her head, “I don’t for a second believe that. I became a lawyer so people get a chance at justice you say you didn’t do this and I believe you, but I cant help you if your not willing to help yourself” She stated softly, she had to get him to understand it.
“So please I need you to walk me through the events, the reports say you had coke in your system so things are goanna be sketchy but anything you might know will help”

"How would I have coke in my system? I don't do drugs." He almost shouted but immediately regretted it. It did make sense. When he woke up he surely was on one hell of a trip. For a long moment Brian simply looked at her. Was she really willing to fight for him. Did she stand a chance? Was it worth trying? At least it couldn't hurt.
Brian leaned back again and took a deep breath. "Okay. I was working a case. Lots of expensive cars go stolen in Miami and we were in the dark until one night I met this buff guy, Walter, at a race who fed me some info about working for siblings who were giving the orders. One night he called me up and told me he had to deliver the last car and wanted out. It looked like he was trying to buy his freedom and serving me the bad guys on a platter...until we got on the ship that was supposed to deliver the cars to who knows where. Last thing I know is that he grabbed me and knocked me out and when I woke up again everything was a big blurr...I tried to find him but all I saw..." He paused for a moment shuddering at the memory. The heart rate monitor once again did the matching siund effects. "there were bodies everywhere-at least 6, a bloody mess. I caught up with him and he's holding a knife to a guy so I was going to shoot him...oh and I guess I called my partner, Mira Hobbs before because she suddenly showed up and told me to put the gun down...you know...why the hell would I put the gun down? I thought she's with him."
