Walter smiled evily as he pulled the '69 Fastback to a slow crawl. It had been a while and his new style looked rather grimey but it fit with the slums they now were cruising through. "Don't look so pissed off all the time chica, I know this place isn't exactly Hollywood but it's the best they can do to start you over." The police some times needed to hire outside the law for things like this, they were really dirty handing her on this one. He had dug his hands through the trenches on this one. She pulled a job for the fed's and then dropped her paper work down the drain. Even for him that was cold blooded.

Letty crossed her arms, still pissed regardless. It wasn't fair being on the run wasn't somewhere she ever thought that she would find herself especially feeling so utterly alone since her entire family thought she was dead.
"I can't just get over something like this, you don't get it life was perfect, then those bastard took full advantage and now look where I am."
She glanced out the window and grimaced unpleasantly, "This is your idea of starting over?"

"Ms. Ortiz, I have been in that seat before. And the worst part is, I know what they did to you. It wasn't fair and it wasn't right." He pulled the car to a stop, "But you are in Miami, with your skills and reputation you can start over again with no problems. Plus between you and I, we both know you aren't going to take this lying down. For people like us, the strait and narrow never really gives us what we want." He looked at her and leaned against his door, "Try to give this a shot, it's all you got right now and it could be a lot worse. He could have actually shot you in the head and left your carcass out in the desert. It's been done, I still have the casings to prove it." He took a breath and eyed the latina up and down. "So what do you want to do now, start moving in or see the sights?"

She wrinkled her nose, "Ms. Ortiz? My mother didn't even go by that..." Letty sighed.
Walter was right. Besides everything that had gone down it was true it could have been a lot worse she could actually be dead.
The opportunity to start over in Miami was a blessing in disguise who knew maybe one day she would get the chance to see her family again, then she would feel whole again.
Letty smiled, "You know me to well, and that's a bit scary..." She stared out through the windshield not feeling quite settled.
"I guess moving in could work, where are we living by the way?" She looked out the window at the rundown neighbourhood which was prime real estate for people looking not to be found.

"As the orders said, You're apparently an out of work mechanic with a degree from some phoney college. Aaaaand," He grabbed the file from between his seat and the armwrest then blew out a deep breath while looking at it, "I'm apparently you're room mate. Witness protection thinks of everything don't they..." He tried to focus on the papers but instead closed the file and slid it back into the gap.
"I think it's the third complex on the right, was the bag in the back all you had or do you need to get more stuff shipped in." He asked as he reached into the glove compartment to retrieve the prelaid keys to the appartment and the rent agreement. They agency had sent him in blind on this one and even worse unarmed. He hated when they tried to act nice when dealing with the cops. Dirty feds skipping dirty cops to play with a dirty agency, he probably should have stayed in LA working with the Mob.
"All I had was the backpack myself, but we can go shopping if you need anything. I got a few bucks."

Letty took in everything he said, "So we're room mates, living in the slummiest part of Miami, and I'm broke also out of a job, sounds perfect."
She gestured to the trunk, "The bag is all I have, moving around so much you gotta keep things light and convenient, ya know?"
She opened the door and got out of the car looking up at the run down living complex a little unsure of how she felt about the place. Then she turned around and shrugged "It'll do."
Letty walked around to the back of the car, and waited for Walter to pop open the back.
"So after we get settled in, what is it we do for fun roomie?" She grinned.

'I could think of a few things,' He thought to himself as he popped the trunk and slid from the driver seat taking the file with him, with a slight speed he swung the trunk up and removed his large backpack. "Could catch a flick or try getting you a ride. Got to be some chump willing to go pinks against this beast." He slapped the side of his car with a smile, "We'd probably have to wait til sunset, doubt anyone's dumb enough to race in the day out here." He leaned against the car and looked Letty up and down, she wasn't too bad looking. Tough chick look and knew her way around a car. It had been a long drive from Mexico to here and for the most part been silent until recently. The Fed's had dropped the case right in his agency's lap and let him handle Braga's goon. Speed with a car and power with a fist could really put a guy in pain.
"Sorry I didn't get there before he pulled the gun out, it's hard finding people in a dark road at night." He appologized for the millionth time about his timing.

Letty shrugged, "It could have been worse right? You could have shown up after he pulled the trigger." she winked and gave him a coy smile.
She was grateful that Walter had shown up when he did otherwise she would have really been dead now.
Slinging her bag over her should they walked together toward the building. The guy was a mystery, she wasn't sure what to make of him after he showed up that night and they hadn't really gotten around to formalities just yet.
Letty had been able to take a good look at him on their silent ride here and she could tell he had a story of his own. He was tall and had a good bit of muscle on him; he could hold his own in a fight that much was clear.
The dust and smoke hadn't yet settled and everything was hazy including the memory of Felix standing over her until someone had man handled him and saved her sorry ass.
"How is it exactly that you found me? I was completely off the map after I ditched Braga's car, not even the cops would have found me for a couple days."

"Braga stiffed my company, I was going to collect some money from Felix after the delivery was done. I heard the gunshots and showed up as you guys gunned out. Didn't take me too long to realize what was going on and I took off after you. Whooping his ass was just a bonus. I got the money and got to save you. I picked up your contract afterwords because they didn't think it was safe for their officers to help you." Walter pulled the key's out and unlocked the door. "I'm paid to find things, I've always been good at it. People, cars, anything that get's lost. Welcome to our humble abode." He slightly bowed his head and swept a hand towards the entrance. "Two room, one bathroom. Kitchen and living room. Fully furnished curtosy of the FBI...I'll start the search for the bugs..."

"Man that's rough..." she walked into their new residence taking it in. It wasn't as bad as she thought it would be, it reminded her a bit of Brian's old place.
"It's homey," she commented making her way to the kitchen. She opened a couple cupboards and then the fridge finally slamming it shut. "Fully furnished my ass, they could have at least stocked the damn fridge." Her stomach growled in response.
What she would do for some BBQ and some of Mia's homemade cooking right now...
Walter was in the living room scouring the place for bugs that the FBI would have surely planted to keep an eye on them, "Find anything?" she called from the kitchen.

Walter smiled and opened up his hand holding several small devices. "They stick them in the same places. Never think outside the box." He laughed and took them to the microwave, "This should give them a headache." He put them inside and placed the settings on low before walking back out to her. "I think we can grab a burger or something if you want." His happy go lucky attitude was a direct contradiction to his look at the moment with a dirty wife beater on and a rough shave. "After that hit up a market and get stock the fridge up. You drink?" He pulled the keys from his pocket and began heading towards the door.

"Yeah burger actually sounds great right now, I'm starving," her stomach grumbled again in response and she tried to remember the last time that she had eaten a decent meal.
Letty got up from her place at the small kitchen table and followed Walter back out to the door. She grabbed her bag from the floor and caught a glimpse of herself in the hallway mirror.
"Holy shit." she looked closer, "IS that what I look like right now?" she pointed to the mirror and looked at Walter. Her hair was matted and dirty, a visible layer of dirt and grime covered her skin, and her clothes were dirty and torn from the accident. Letty wasn't the kind of girl to really care how she looked, but in good company she at least liked to be civilized.
"I look like I was hit by a car." she sighed. "Think I could take a quick shower before we go? This really isn't a good look." she said pointing at herself. "I won't be long, and after this I'm definitely going to need that drink." She looked him up and down, "You look like you could use a shower and change yourself."

"C'mon I was looking for the O'de naturale look." He looked at himself in the mirror and grimaced, "Yeah on second thought I'll jump in when you're done." He laughed and shut the door, locking and dead bolting it before plopping on the couch and turning on the T.V.

Letty ran up the stairs two at a time stopping on the upstairs landing to take a quick look around. It was just like he promised two bedrooms one shared bath. She glanced inside both of the rooms roughly about the same size one with a bit more leg room which she claimed as her own.
She dumped the contents of her bag out on her bed noticing for the first time how little possessions she had to her name. She would sort through it later, right now she wanted to shower.
The water was warm and refreshing on her skin, she noted they would have to pick up a few toiletries when they went out. She turned of the water trapping the rising steam in the room. Wiping the condensation from the mirror she could see the minor cuts and bruises forming on her skin, nothing serious but with all the dirt and blood gone they stood out more then ever.
Letty sighed, her stomach grumbling again she threw on a clean set of clothes leaving her hair wet and walked out into the hall.
"Bathroom's free," she called down the stairs, not waiting to see if he heard her she went to her room.
The contents of her bag were still spread out over her bed and she noticed her necklace was missing.

Walter made his way up into the shower slowly removing his shirt as he went. Between the scars and tattoos it wasn't much of an improvement from the dirty wife beater that he tossed into the smaller room. He dropped his backpack in the bathroom and closed the door behind him. As the shower began an irish folk tune could be heard from the bathroom and soon both of the two sounds died down. Withen a total of thirty minutes he reamerged in clean blue jeans, a neatly tucked in black shirt, and leather jacket.
"Hey are you ready to...what's missing?" He recognized the look on her face and leaned against the door frame lightly with crossed arms. In his mind he was compiling a list of things they would need while out.

Letty looked up at the man leaning in her doorway, her hand hovered around her neck trying to backtrack to when she last had it. "My necklace..." she answered absentmindedly.
It wasn't a huge deal, just sentimental value, but honestly she felt a little bit lost without the familiar cross around her neck. "I probably lost it in the accident, most likely now evidence in a crime scene..."
She shook her head, it was something trivial to be worried about especially since she had barely escaped with her life. "It doesn't matter it's lost can't do anything about it now, you ready to go?" she grabbed her jacket from the bed and gave Walter the once over.
He cleaned up nice, she had to admit; having the company was a change from being by herself since Dom had left.
"I'm good to go, I'm starving lets grab dinner, then we'll hit up the grocery." She grabbed her silver aviators glad they were still in her things hooking them on the inside of her shirt she followed Walter downstairs.

Walter walked calmly and looked around as he stepped outside again, he stretched and let his back pop before putting his oakly's on. There was always more then one reason he did things, this was his way to survey and make sure no one was watching them. He needed to get his hands on a weapon soon, walking around like this felt like he was walking around with a bullseye right on the middle of his forehead. "So don't think you know anyone down this way?" He asked as he made his way towards his car and right before opening the door for her. "I hate dodging aquantences." He smirked and moved around to the driver side. Withen moments he was darting through the five o'clock rush hour traffic towards the beaches, he was feeling fish and chips.

Letty bit her lip nervously. She wasn't sure how to answer his question; being back in town made her feel on edge. She opened the car door and got in on the passenger side. The last person that she had contact with after coming back had been Brian, and now she was dead. Obviously by now everyone probably figured she was dead. Apart of her wished she could contact him, but what the hell good would that do if the FBI discovered she was still breathing?
"I'm not sure," she shrugged. They drove down the road toward the beaches, and she didn't think that the odds of them running into someone that would recognize her would be very high today. "Who knows when shit's bout to go down?" she smiled.
