For two days the idea that Mia might be heading into some trouble without even knowing it by eating at a MOB restaurant had been bothering brian so much that he finally decided to go and see her to 'warn' her. Who knew, maybe that Dieseli gangster wanted her to race for him in Doms old charger.
So he sat outside on a few stones on the front lawn waiting and drinking water from a small plastic bottle until Mia would come home. Hopefulls she hadn't sold the Fort and some strange family would find Brian on their lawn.
The old home brought up a lot of memories, good ones but also very bad ones. Not too far away from where Brian was sitting Jesse had been shot almost ten years ago. Brian sighed and picked up a stone, threw it and made it bounce on the black tarmac.

She never thought coming up with a plan breaking her brother out of jail was going to take this much, she was a little tired, what she needed right now was just to get home, take a shower and go to bed.
Driving Dom's car felt nice, everytime she drive 'the curse' as she name the Charger it felt at least to her like her brother was sitting on the co-pilot seat asking her what she was going to make for dinner and the boys.
She sigh out loud "Yay!" she celebrated realizing she was now home. She parked the car and got out not noticing who was waiting for her until her gaze spotted the person she didn't wish to see any longer.
"What do you want?" she hadn't close the door of the beautiful black Charger and when she noticed Brian, she slammed the door as hard as she could letting him know she wasn't in the mood to chat with him.

Of course he was aware that Mia wasn't keen on seeing him but he didn't expect an anger outbreak because she was the calmest, most collected person he knew. Something must have been grinding on her nerves.
The whole story with 'I was in the area and ...' went down the drain with the slam of the door. "Watch out, that door is part of an antique." He tried to joke but realized it didn't work.
So he got up and walked over to her. "Mia, I know you probably don't want to see me but ..." He was fishing for the right words. "Please give me 5 minutes so I can talk to you. It's important."

She didn't laugh when he tried to joke with her, she started walking to the entrance of her house. "You are so damn right, Brian. I don't want to see you" her tone of voice cold and pissed.
She looked in her purse for the key to open the door, she then turn to see him and look down at her watch. "You better start...20 seconds and you're not saying a word," she was being mean, she was being a bitch and she didn't give a damn.
'He better find the words quick or I'll be slamming the door in his face' she thought to herself, her eyes were now on his face then on her watch.

When Mia turned to walk to the door Brian took that as a good sign. She was going to ask him in at least even though she sounded as if he had just stomped on her favourite doll.
When she gave him the look he knew she meant it. Brian had seen that look in her eyes only a few times but those were damn serious. "It's about you. I happened to see you at an Italian restaurant the other night and I swear I wasn't following you." He knew she would probably think so. "I was there because of Cole....why are you so angry, Mia?" He usddenly interjected. "Is anything wrong?"

She knew she was following Cole and somehow saw the Charger outside the restaurant, but to come here? He had a lot of nerve to show up because if she had a gun she'll be more than happy to use it.
"I'll tell you what I said to Cole: You are wasting your time," she started to open the door. "This is none of your business, Brian. You have other people to worry about, don't worry about me I am big girl and I know what I'm doing," she avoided his questions.
Why was he so damn interested? Why did he even show up? What good would it be for him to know about her plans to free Dom... Dom, he wasn't going to be happy not with Brian, will he be pissed with his sister? She didn't have time to think about what her brother thought, he wasn't even out yet.

Her attitude was starting to hurt. Why was she so sour? When she mentioned the other people he had to worry about Brian knew why. Mia couldn't get over the fact that he was with another woman now. Brian should have known.
"You can be as bitter as you want. I still care about you." He let her know without any further dancing around. "That restaurant is full of California's finest home grown mob. Make sure not to get involved with any body there. It's dangerous."
He searched her tired features for some reaction. Did she know about this already and still chose to go there?

She scoffed hearing the words 'I still care about you' and his explanation about the "Luna Azure' being full with the mob if he only knew what she was doing. "What if I am involved? What are you gonna do about it?" What the hell was he doing here? She wished she could do the things she needed to fo without a baby sitter, witout her ex-boyfriend showing up at her door, she knew she was a free person and he had a new person in his life.
Why go through more trouble and stop at her house? Why? Why? Why? Couldn't he see he was causing her more hurt? And still... they were gonna see again once Dom got out of jail.

Her statement confused Brian and he simply laughed. "You're not involved. You're the one who always wanted to keep Dom away from crime...are you involved?" He knitted his brow and wondered why she would hint that she was. Being Italian didn't automatically make your part of the mob.
"I'm sure Dom would want the same thing for you, Mia." He took another step towards her. "I understand that you are upset with me but this is for your own good. I'd hate to see you get hurt." Brian wasn't one to beg but Mia had always had this soft spot in his heart and it was hard to simply walk away when he still care so much about her.
To change the subject he finally asked. "How is Dom? Have you seen him lately?" The big guy had been in prison for too long. Brian knew if anybody would get along in there it was Dom but he also knew that he'd give anything to be free again and if it wasn't for Brian he wasn't in. "You know I still regret that he stayed by my side when I rolled the car at the border. He should have run."

"Stop that, Brian. Stop worrying about my safety, just stop." The door was open so why couldn't she walked in and slam the door in his face?
Of course Dom would want the same thing as Brian. "Yeah, well Dom isn't here to order me around on what's wrong and right, neither are you." Her right hand gripped the doorknob taking a step reducing the distance between them.
She was glad when he changed the subject. "No, I haven't seen him and yes, Brian. He should've run," she simply said when in her mind she was finishing that last sentence 'Of course he should've run or I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing'

Her words ultimately meant that she would have chosen Dom's freedom over Brian's life because at the time it wasn't clear how badly Brian was injured. It could have been fatal. That Mia was feeling this way was like a slap in the face so Brian took a step back. "I never meant to hurt you, Mia. You wanted me gone. Remember that? It's not my fault he's in jail!" He tried to justify his own actions but knew that they wouldn't reach Mia's ears.
Pretty sour he added. "Tell Dom I haven't forgotten him. I'll come by." Then he turned to walk away but at the bottom of the stairs he turned around one more time to add. "I'm still there for you if you need...or want me." Then he continued his path to the curb where his brothers car was parked.

Before he turned around to walk away she spoke. "Leave us alone Brian... leave me alone," she entered the house closing the door behind her. Biting her bottom lip as she stare at the darkness of her own house.
She wiped a tear away quickly. "You better stay away from your own safety because if you decide to show up, you're a dead man," she whispered to herself walking to the kitchen turning on the lights as her shaking hands fill a glass with water.
He really didn't get it, wasn't she clear when she left Tokyo? And still he was there at her door telling her she was there for her if she needed him or want him? She stop and shut her mind walking up the stairs letting her body fell on her brother's bed.
