There was pretty much nothing civil about maximum security lock-up, in fact, it was like being in a cage with a bunch of lions. Luckily for Dom, he was considered one of the lions...at least to most.
The one "civilized" privilege that the inmates did get once in a blue moon was a private phone call to relatives, and Dom's turn had finally come. One of the guards led him into the phone room (which also looked like a jail cell) and let Dom be. "Three minutes, max." He barked. Dom dialed the number of the obvious person he would call, Mia, and waited. Good lord it had been a long time since he heard the dial tone of a phone.

She hated to be alone. The house was so damn quiet it made her uncomfortable. She looked down at her small suitcase... the clothes were still inside folded neatly..since that day she decided to run away from Tokyo... since that day she decided to run away from him for good... for a moment she felt a sharp pain in her heart... No! No! she couldn't go there..not again! She wiped the first and only tear that decided to escape her eyes and in that moment the phone rang making her jump... She picked up "Hello," and she couldn't help but let the tears fall once again as she recognized that particular voice at the other end of the line.

"Mia, it's Dom." He stated calmly over the line. "Lock-up decided to let us have a few minutes of freedom." Dom glanced over at the doorway to check if someone was keenly watching or listening to him. "Have you been well?" He then thought he heard a slight whimper on the other line. Maybe things weren't so well, he thought.

"Yes, yes I've been well," liar!!! She then realized the amount of time he had to speak with her. "Dom, I need to take you out of there ASAP," she blurted out. Was she crazy? Maybe a little... after all she was a Toretto.

Dom chuckled a little, he should have known his sister was gong to say that. "And how do you plan to do that?" He sighed. "Don't get yourself into this, Mia. This is my problem, not yours." Knowing Mia, he knew she wasn't going to take that as an answer, but hopefully she'd see the wisdom behind it.

“I am serious, Dom” her tone of voice change. “I don’t know and I don’t care how the hell I am going to take you out of there, I’ve had it being here by myself every day, I need my brother back,” she heard his sigh making her angrier. “Guess what? You are my brother so is not only your problem but mine too. You’re the only family that I have…” tears stung her eyes but she didn’t break down.

"I know you are, and I am to. This place is held up tight, it's made for people like me." Mia's comment about being alone made him wonder, he remembered her being with Brian last he knew. 'I'm gonna kick his ass,' he thought to himself, a little grin came to his face. "Very well Mia, just don't do anything stupid." A little sternness in his voice.

"You don't get it, do you?" couldn't he understand she wasn't playing around when she said about getting him out of jail? She leaned on the wall of the small kitchen and let her eyes wonder for a moment to the counter when she once placed the groceries, where she once allowed Brian to kiss her...she shook her head and turned facing the living room in a way to erase the painful memories.

Mia's dark change in tone got Dom thinking that something drastic had affected her, and suddenly he felt the need to be with her, to be back as a family. "I guess I don't." He replied honestly. He found himself looking for a way out, even though there was none. The frustrations of being confined to a caged building started settling in, and Dom decided he had to get out.

She could feel the desperation in his voice as she tighted her hold on the telephone. “Then let’s get you out,” she tried one more time. “Please Dom, please I need you out of jail, I want you out of jail, I want my brother back,” Was he going to change his mind? Who could she call to have him out of jail?

Mia was relentless, and Dom had to admit that getting out of here sounded nice. "Just remember Mia, that you ending up here doesn't do anyone any good. Be smart." Dom emphasized that last part, the absolute last thing he wanted was for anyone, especially Mia, getting dragged down to his level and thrown in the slammer.
The guard came back after what seemed like a few seconds. "Time's up, Toretto." He huffed.

Getting him out of jail and running from the law again wasn't fun at all and to hear him emphasize for her to know and understand what she was saying stop her dead in her tracks. This wasn't like her but again not having her brother with her was killing her. She heard at the other end of the line the guard letting Dom know his time was up. "You've been in there for some time now, can't you get a good-behavior type of card?" could that be possible? The guard kept insisting for Dom to hang up. "I love you," were her last words... there had to be a way for him to get out of there, maybe not by planing an escape but something else..

"Who said I've been on good behavior?" He grinned to himself. The guard was practically pulling the phone out of Dom's hands, or at least trying to, it wasn't really working though. "Godspeed Mia, love you too. Take care of yourself now." He practically commanded. He gave in to the guard and let him take the phone. An overwhelming concern of what he had possibly just got Mia into settled in. He prayed that she'd think about this and not act off of pure passion. If she could somehow manage to get him out though, man would he owe her big time.

She hung up the phone and looked out the window of the kitchen. What could she do to get him out? Who could she call? She wouldn't call Brian not after all that crap that happen in Tokyo...no way..but then again.. Did she have a choice? "I love you too, Dominic," she whispered to herself.
