“You’ve got a promising path ahead of you Faye, you need to keep your nose out of this” Faye shifted nervously in her seat, she should have known that asking so many questions would have gotten her into trouble in the end. Heaving in a breath she slowly nodded her head. When the boss wanted to talk to you it was never good, but when you were still at the bottom and the boss wanted to talk to you, you knew it wasn’t good. Tilting her head ever so slightly she bobbed her leg under the table. Her boss was stood in front of her, hoping to intimidate her into stopping what she was doing. Wasn’t happening any time soon.
“I mean it Faye. You need to stop” Faye lifted her gaze, eyeing her boss directly.
“There’re family” She stated, her voice hardening ever so slightly. Shaking her head ever so slightly she listened to her boss some more. Only half paying attention to him now. When your boss wanted you to stop something, you didn’t stop. No, it meant there was something worth hiding and her sticking her nose in and looking wasn’t good. When her boss finally left she let out a deep sigh and began gathering the rest of the files on her desk and shoved them into her bag. Shaking her head slightly she stepped out of the office and headed towards the elevator that would take her out of the building.
It was cold outside and she pulled her jacket tighter around her body, and tugged the bobble out of her hair, allowing the dark locks to fall around her shoulders. What she needed to do was find Brian and have a word with him, something was just off with the whole situation and shit. Turning a corner she slowly to a stop, brow furrowing ever so slightly, before she picked up her pace. “Dom?” She questioned softly eyeing the large man in front of her. It couldn’t have been him though, because last she locked he was locked away.

Ever since he got out of prison, Dom spent much more time outside than inside. Maybe it was because that fresh air became so addictive, maybe it was because he needed alone time to collect his many thoughts, maybe he was even just trying to find something to do. Did he want to try to live a civilized, "normal" lifestyle? No, he didn't work like that, besides, finding a job with his record would be, well, impossible.
He thought his best bet was to return to life he knew best. That meant making a living the old way in addition to getting down to the inner workings of how exactly he was released, and just how free he actually was. This day, a long stroll through a rural area was where he chose as his contemplating zone for the day. It amazed him how foreign the outside world still felt even if he was only put away for five years.
A subtle "Dom" was heard behind him, and he slowly turned to find its source. It took him a second to recognize her, but once he did, he sure recognized her. "Well of all people to run into." He grinned.

The sound of her heals came to a slow stop, cool wind whipped around her as she stood in the middle of the street looking at the male in front of her. Drawing her lower lip between her teeth she shifted on her feet, just staring at the male in front of her. Of all the people she had expected to see at the end of her day it had not been the current male in front of her. In fact the last time she had seen him was when she had been trying to get him free from a life imprisonment then hadn’t truly been his fault. The FBI in the end had done what the FBI were good at, fucking people over. Sure he had lived his life full of crime. But he had been trying to get his life on track, or as on track as he could get, and when the FBI made deals you damn well expected them to uphold the deal.
As far as she was concerned though, not only had her idea been shot down, but Dom was still in jail the last time she had checked. She was still a little sore about the whole ordeal. She had known she would have been able to get it done, she had been confident that she would have been able to get Dom of the hook, legally. “I was just thinking the exact same thing” She stated with a small nod of her head, brow creasing she quickly did a once over of her surroundings. No cops, no sounds of cops. What the heck was going on?
Slowly bringing her gaze back to the male in front of her she watched him for a moment longer, shifting the case in her hand. “How the hell are you even out?” She questioned raising her brow more importantly how hadn’t she figured that out through her months of researching into what the hell was going on. She had been told to leave it, she had been told to stop looking into what had been going on in Tokyo, and she hadn’t, she had ignored him, she had come home but that was it. She had stuck her noses into places that they didn’t belong, according to her boss anyhow.

He was getting a little tired of that question if he was honest. The first thing anyone asked was of course how he was a free man. The worst part about was that he didn't think he could really answer that, if he answered with what his suspicion was, the mob, then people would take him as a nut job that is in big trouble...well maybe his was
"Mia found a way, I guess. She was more determined than I was." He laughed. "I'm as surprised that I'm free as you are." He said honestly.
OOC: Sorry for short post...Gotta run and wanted to get that off

Faye watched him with a raise of her brow. He didn’t seem comfortable about the whole thing, which was absurd, because if he was just that a free man he would be more than fine with the fact he was a free man. She supposed he could just be trying to get used to the fact he was in fact a few man, when he hadn’t been for so long. She didn’t think that was it though, which made her wonder if he was a free man. Of course he was a free man in the eye of the law, as far as she was aware there wasn’t anything on the TV, but that didn’t mean anything.
“You’re her brother Dom, she’d do anything for you, same as I would for Lee” In fact she had. The second he had told her he was in trouble all those years ago, she had dropped everything and moved her life and her schooling all the way over to LA, just so she could be there with him and keep him out of trouble.
Flicking her gaze over her shoulder she slowly nodded her head, “Well im glad you’re out” She muttered. Okay so she was glad he was out, glad that he was out and she had bumped into him? Not so much. Dom scared the living day lights out of her, and it didn’t matter how much training Joker had given her, he still scared the crap out of her, guess you couldn’t change the way you looked.
“Not like you could do a lot from inside” She muttered with a shake of her head. Eyeing him for a moment she looked back over her shoulder at her building before returning her gaze over towards Dom. “Seems to me there was more to it than Mia getting you out. Iv been doing some digging, my boss warned me about putting my nose where it didn’t belong” Her brow rose as she looked at him.
“I tried Dom, getting you out, maybe I should talk to Mia figure out what she did that I didn’t”

Dom blankly looked out into the street as Faye spoke, though he was listening intently. He realized that he took for granted just how far his sister went to get him out, something he never would've allowed himself to do, but he did. He was put away in one of the nations highest security prisons, and yet Mia got him out. Regardless of the way she did it, that was one hell of a gesture, something he owed her for.
He didn't really expect her to say she was glad he was out, but then again, she had worked a case for him. It wasn't like she was standing by waving as he was hauled off in the bus. It was kind of ironic those days, Faye, of all people, was his hope during his trial. That felt just as strange now as it did five years ago. "Does that mean you're happy to see me?" He said with a hint of comedy in his voice.
His eyes suddenly darted to her's when she suggested his escape was beyond Mia's perseverance. He deeply wondered what she knew about his escape. Hell, she may know even more than he did about it. "I know she had some help, I just wish I knew what role that "help" played." He let out a sigh, having a pretty good guess that the "help" came in the form of a big check.

A laugh fell from her lips and blue eyes sparkled with amusement “I wouldn’t go that far” her own voice held a hint of amusement to it, her head shaking ever so slightly “But im glad you’re a free man, you deserve it” She stated with a small smile. She had never gotten along with Dom, manly because he reminded her to much of a past she wanted to put behind her, but also because she didn’t like the type of male he was. She didn’t enjoy how everyone followed him so blindly, and she didn’t enjoy how he expected everyone to do things his way. Yet despite all of that she had done her damndest to get him of the hook, she hadn’t succeeded, but apparently Mia had.
“You’ve never asked?” She questioned with a raise of her brow. Knowing Dom he had, and knowing Mia she had shot him down or maybe Mia just had no idea on what the hell she had brought onto herself, or her family. Shaking her head ever so slightly she let out a deep breath, shifting her weight and brushing a hand through her hair.
“Ill look into it” She stated, damn what her boss was telling her. If Dom’s freedom ended up coming with a price she damn well wanted to know about it. She didn’t trust he fact Dom was now a free man, especially when she had tried to do the legal way and it hadn’t worked. She knew Mia and hoped she hadn’t done something stupid for her brother, but who was she kidding, she’d do, and had done the very same thing for her own brother. “Im sure Mia didn’t do something stupid” Smiling at Dom she shrugged a shoulder slightly.

Sometimes he didn't feel like he deserved to be free, maybe it was because someone else did all the work to get him out while he sat and waited around for the guard to unlock the door. Faye always gave off an odd vibe to him, almost like she was intimidated. They had their history for sure, but even now? After all these years? At least that meant to himself that he was still the same Dom, apparently.
"We've talked about it." He answered simply. He wished he didn't have to talk about it as much as he did, not that he expected people to just brush the topic aside.
Dom knew fair well how stupid people would get to free their loved ones, he was no exception. He'd done crazy things for those close to him, he was very familiar with that feeling. He's concern was just how far Mia went with this. "I wish I shared your confidence." He said. "I just hope she knew the consequences."

Dark eyes lifted to look at the male opposite her, brow creasing ever so slightly “So you know how you got off, can’t see Mia keeping that bit away from you” No Mia was one thing, but keeping something from her brother she doubted it. They had all learned that the hard way, keeping things to yourself, just asked for trouble, and really, none of them could ask for any more trouble in their life.
She continued eyeing Dom with a narrow of her brow. She had gotten pretty good at reading people and he seemed nervous, he seemed worried about what Mia had gotten herself into, he seemed to be worried about what they were all involved with now. Shaking her head ever so slightly, she shifted her weight once more, he didn’t seem to on edge though, which meant he was free, legally free. Damn Mia was good.
“Looks like ill be taking pointers from your sister from now on” She stated with a shake of her head. Drawing her lower lip between her teeth with a deep sigh. Taking a slight step closer to Dom, to get out of the wind slightly she shrugged a shoulder.
“For a free man Dom you don’t look to happy” Now wasn’t that just a worry. He was free, and he looked like someone had sucker punched him.

Faye was seeing through him too well for him to hid the facts much longer. It was getting to the point where it just was felt counterproductive to hold his cards. She may have already known the behind the scenes stuff anyway if she indeed looked into it. She tried to get him out, regardless of their relationship, Dom knew she wouldn't go around blowing the whistle every chance she got.
"Our father was close in with a mobster, they considered each other family. Mia went to him, told him my situation, and here I am. I don't know how exactly they did it, and that's what concerns me." He let out a sigh and straightened himself up. "They tell me I'm free, time will only tell if I am."

Faye let out a deep sigh her eyes going saucer wide as she looked at him, shaking her head ever so slightly, “what is it with your little gang working with mobsters?” She questioned with a raise of her brow, first Brian and Jack, well okay Jack, Brian just got roped into it, Joker had been the same when she had first met him and if she remembered he had something to do with the whole Jack thing anyway.
“No offense Dom but when it comes to those kind of people your never free. Always owe them something” Shaking her head slightly she brushed a hand through her hair letting out a deep sigh. Shifting her weight ever so slightly she eyed Dom. The guy may have given her the creeps but if it meant him getting into more trouble being on the outside than it did on the inside she felt for him.
“I hope for your families sake that he has some values and leaves it at that” She shrugged “I tried the legal way, but it didn’t work, so im thinking money was involved” Money was always involved.

Dom previously had never been too worried about doing work with the mafia. He always considered it normal business. Mob work generally meant big money, but he was usually the one who was owed by the mob. Now however, he may have just found himself in deep personal debt to the mob, and debt to the mob was much worse than any debt to any bank.
Faye stated the obvious in Dom's eyes. He knew far too well what this meant, and that was his concern. He was free from the law, but free from man? No, far from it. He did have some hope though, all the mob cared about was their money. You satisfy that, and you satisfy them. He had to find out just what was done to get him out. "I just gotta find out what they want." He said in an even lower voice than normal.
Mobsters that had values? Dom had yet to meant one he would consider to be a man of morals, especially when it came to money. "He ain't gonna leave it at that. You know that as well as I do." His gaze shifted from the street over to her.

Of course Dom would know what type of crap he was in, what type of crap his sister had gotten him in, but not just him, her, and anyone else if Dom or Mia didn’t start playing ball. “No offense but I never thought you sister would have been so stupid” Especially after everything the mob had been responsible in the past. Sighing ever so slightly she brushed a hand through her hair, tugging on the ends ever so slightly. Least she knew why her boss was warning her of this. Not because she was looking into Dom, but because the one behind his release was because of the mob being involved.
“What they want?” She questioned with a raise of her brow “Ill give you one guess Dom” Mobs only wanted one thing. Money, and to get Dom free, if the legal way hadn’t worked that meant money did the talking, which meant the mob was out of pocket and they damn well wanted it back.
Sighing deeply she nodded her head and looked over at Dom, “No, and im sure he’ll be telling you what he wants soon enough” licking her lips she sighed slightly “Way I see it you find a way to pay him back. You don’t want to owe the mob any favours Dom”

Dom would be lying if he said he didn't take offense to that, it was his sister after all. And even if it was not the smartest thing she could've done, she still must've bent over backwards to make it happen. "She took a hell of a risk to get me out, just to get me out. She is the most selfless person I know." He replied in her defense, looking straight into Faye's eyes.
He looked away again when Faye brought up the mob's desires again. "They'll want to get paid. It ain't gonna be with money though, we got none of that." He sighed, he needed to come up with a plan fast to either get the money or propose a deal. He was simply waiting to get some note telling him a location to be at. "Favours may be the only option."

Faye clenched her jaw, holding his gaze, and that was the Dominic Torretto she hated, that Dom that crept her the hell out and put her on the edge. But instead of making away like she normally would have, she actually held his gaze. She didn’t back down, because seriously, he was right. Mia was the single most selfless person she had known, stupid in this case but still. Dom was her brother, the only one she has left, Faye would have done the same for her own brother. Huffing out a deep breath she rolled her jaw ever so slightly.
“And you’ll end up right back where you started Dom” Shaking her head slightly she let out a deep breath, “Doing favours for the mob? You’re asking for trouble” She sighed slightly shaking her head. Scrubbing a hand over the back of her neck she pondered what the hell could be done, or what needed to be done. There was no way in hell they could do a favour for the Mob it was asking for trouble.
“Mia got you out, you do a favour for the mob, you’re gonna be dead or back in jail” She shrugged a shoulder, “Family friend or not”

Intuitively, Dom expected Faye to look away and look a little like a hurt puppy, but she didn't. And once he realized she still held eye contact with him, it surprised him a little. Maybe she had toughened up a little during his stint in Lompoc.
Dom held an expression-less look as Faye dumped that facts on them. Yes, there were indeed facts, and yet he tried to force his mind to escape them. He didn't want to admit to himself that what she was telling he was true. "What has to be done, has to be done. If Mia were to get caught up in my deal with them..." He trailed off as he shook his head. "That will not happen." Truth be known, Mia was possibly in just as much hot water as he was. After all, she was the one that went to the mobster.
"Now you understand how relative freedom is to me now."

“If Mia gets caught up in this?” she questioned with a raise of her brow “Are you kidding Dom. She went to this guy, she was the one who laid it on the table, she owes this debt, does she even realize that?” She questioned because she knew for a fact Dom did. Licking her lips she shook her head ever so slightly.
“If you get sent back down Dom it’s going to kill your sister. You die its going to kill your sister, do you get that?” She questioned with a raise of her brow “She’s done everything she can because she loves you, your risking to much by getting missed up in any of this” Shaking her head slightly she bit the inside of her lip, looking over at him. God she couldn’t even begin to believe she was about to suggest this.
“Your right this guy is going to need a favour. Give me his name and ill make him an offer. In return he’ll leave you and your sister alone” She stated eyeing Dom, her jaw set to show him she wasn’t backing down. He either gave her that name or she found it herself.

"I'm not sure she does." Dom answered honestly. "I'm concerned that she thinks this more a family deal than a business deal." He sighed. "Mob doesn't work like that." That would be his absolute worse nightmare, Mia being sent to the executioner for the deed.
"And if I don't do anything it may kill her." He answered stubbornly. "This is my deal, Faye, not her's. I was the one that was released, and I am the one that owes up to it, not her. What am I risking if I don't get messed up in this?" He challenged.
Before Faye even finished her sentence, Dom was shaking his head. "So you're going to bring yourself and god knows who else into this too? No, you don't even know what he had to do or pay, neither do I."

Faye sighed, god damn Dominic Torretto on his freaking high horse again, letting her bag drop down by her side she folded her arms over her chest. A lot had changed since the last time she had seen him, a hell of a lot and she wasn’t about to sit idly by. “So you think they won’t use her to get to you?” She challenged with a raise of her brow “Dom you know that’s bullshit, the Mob will use whoever they want to leverage you, and even if you’re willing to do what they want? They’ll still use her anyway, for the just in case”
Sighing she rolled her eyes ever so slightly “In case you’re missing something Dom, I wasn’t asking your permission” She stated annoyance rolling of her tongue. “Right now you got no idea what mess your in, way I see it, its big if my boss is warning me of it” She shrugged a shoulder.
“So you give me the name of your family friend, or I find it myself. Either way im going to find him and im going to talk to him” She stepped a little closer to him, “And there isn’t a damn thing you can do to stop me Dom cus im not like the rest of them, I don’t jump when you say it” She set her jaw staring at him.
“Now are you going to stop being so stubborn and accept help for once?”

"They'll be less inclined if they're satisfied." He raised a brow at her wondering how she could possibly refute that. "That just means I need to get done what I need to get done quicker." He truly hoped that was the simple case, he does something for them and then it'll be like it never happened. But, he knew deep down it didn't normally go down like that.
"I know exactly what kind of mess I'm in." He shot back, not taking too well to Faye's observation. "You're boss is right in warning you, and you'd be smart to listen. You're gonna get yourself killed trying to make this happen with them." Dom grew frustrated with her persistence. The last thing he wanted was yet another person he had to be concerned over entering this case. She was absolutely insane to think the mob would pay any attention to her in the first place.
"You're not getting in this, there's no reason for you to be in this." Dom turned as if he was ready to just walk away. "You don't even know him, what good would it be for you to talk to him instead of me?"
