Mira fought back a sigh when her father got into the driver seat of the Ford F250 she was sitting in. She had been back in the U.S. for a couple of days already. Her father returning meant that Brian and Cole were back aswell. She stuck her head out the window just in time to watch the boys drive away. Sighing she sank back into her seat. "So how was your trip home?" Her now blonde hair blew in the wind as she turned to look at him. If she wanted to see Brian ever again she was going to have to get on his good side.

Hobbs was relieved to back in the States and not dealing with the stubborn Tokyo PD. He had assignments in Japan in the past, but every time he returned there, the police force welcomed him less enthusiastically...they must have had a thing for Americans, or him anyway.
Reality was, his job was far from finished. O'Conner still had charges on him that would partially be dictated by the agent, and his daughter was still running around with this nut. Eventually, that was going to have to change. "Decent. Just some more days watching dumb and dumber." He replied to Mira's silence breaker. A few moments passed and he asked. "How've you been feeling?"

Mira went back to staring outside the truck. "The boys aren't bad people dad. Cole is a good friend of mine and I love Brian. You are gonna have to get used to them being around." She had to hold back the urge to answer her phone when it started to viberate. "But to answer your question I feel like crap. The babies have been really restless which means I get no sleep now. I cannot wait for these little ones to be born." She set her hands on her large belly.

Hobbs sat up in his seat and glanced at Mira. "No, I don't have to get used to it, and I won't. Brian is leading both you and that kid down his path of destruction. He may not even realize it, and that's the scary part." Hobbs sighed and sat back in his seat. He momentarily forgot he was back in the U.S and had to correct himself from driving over in the left lane. "Look, I can't stop you from dating him, you're an adult now and responsible for yourself. But you deserve much better than to be fleeing the country with some crooked ex-cop."

"what the hell would you know? You know nothing about him, he isn't what you think he is. He cares about me and loves me too." Mira could feel her anger building. " I don't want anyone else! I love him. Why can't you except that? Mom would have!" She knew it was a low blow to say that but she wanted it to hurt. Her dad needed to see that what he was doing was wrong. That he was judging Brian based on his past and not who his is now.

"Don't play that card, young lady. I've been working his case for the past month. I probably know more about him than do." Hobbs exaggerated in his anger. "You're blinded by this teenage romance you have for him. Once you grow up you'll see that!" The mom statement hit a little too close to home, which only aggravated him more. "Mom would've wanted your well-being, and I don't think being a fugitive qualifies as being well."
OOC: I love being a total asshole sometimes lol

"You know nothing about him." Mira should have known better then to fight with her father but he was to stubborn to see Brian for who he really was. " And you know nothing about me." She leaned her head against the truck's window. She mumbled softly more to herself then to her dad. "Sometimes I wish you died instead of mom...."

Hobbs was already pissed, but Mira basically just made him the equivalent of a king cobra getting poked by a stick. He slammed on the brakes of the truck and looked Mira dead in the eye. "Do you have ANY idea what your mom's death was like for me?! You think it was easy for me to just emotionally let it go and continue raising you? You know what, date that tard Brian, then when you crash and burn you'll think 'gee, maybe daddy isn't an idiot after all.' But you know what? By then it'll be too late, I won't bail you out again, you'll be fucked." Hobbs stood on the gas of the truck, cutting off several cars in the process.

"You were hardly ever there when I was growing up. You were always working!" Mira was just as pissed off as her dad. When her dad stopped at a red light, She opened the door and got out with Max. "I never asked you to bail me out. And I never will!" With that she slamed the truck door and walked down the street as tears started to fall.

"Of course I was working, otherwise we would've ended on the street! Is that the life you would've wanted? I was working towards your future, for college and everything, and you just threw it away." Hobbs at first didn't say anything when Mira stormed out. He almost debated not even going after her, she was acting like such a child. Deciding however that he needed to exercise his fatherly duties, he hung a right and pulled next her. "Stop being retarded and get in the damn truck, Mira."

"At least you would have been around!" Mira turned at stated at her dad. "Maybe I don't wanna be a cop anymore... No one takes me serious as a cop cause I'm a women." Tears dripped down her cheeks. "It's hard to love your job when you are treated differently then everyone else..." She sighed and got into the truck. "I'm only getting back in cause I am to pregant to walk home." Crossing her arms over her chest as she stared out the window.

"No, we probably would've been dead." Hobbs fired back. "You know I did what I had to do." Hobbs inwardly sighed a relief when Mira got back in the truck, regardless of the reason. "Well then Mira, step up and be the best damn cop you can be. No one can argue with success, maybe one of the reasons you're not respected now is because you're a fugitive." Hobbs offered truthfully. "There's plenty of women cops who are looked up to and are respected, you have just the same potential." He looked deep at Mira and started off the truck again.

Mira glared at her dad. "How can I be a cop when I am raising twins?" Now her dad knew about the twins, now she just had to tell Brian. She went back to leaning her head against the window. "Do you think mom would be disappointed in me too?"

Hobbs was about to rage at her for being a naysayer, until the word 'twins' registered with him. "You have twins?" He stated the obvious, then just shook his head. "That is the worst possible guy you could have twins with, great timing." Frustration was evident in his voice. "I won't speak for your mother Mira, but she wanted only the best for you. This is not the best."
