Joker walked up to the chain link fence that surrounded the temporarily closed shipping lane, by temporary it meant since Joker had stopped passing off information to Dom he had made sure that any remaining crates, boxes, work equipment, and half repaired boats had stayed exactly where they were. It paid to have the friends that he had earned over the years and now he was going to turn this little out of the way dock into a monthly race track for any of the local crews.

Calmly he removed the key from his pocket and opened up the gate, memories came back to him from days long past and he pushed the fence wide and away from him while calmly strolling back to the semi he drove here. Five black cars were silhouetted in the night against the bed of the double decker and he hauled them into the compound. Tonight was opening night for the new track. Police would stay clear of this place, too much gang violence and way too risky trying to come out here in force. On top of that he knew that since the racer's were only risking their own necks the cops probably wouldn't even bother with them.

Joker made quick work offloading the 1995 Honda Civic EG's and covered them quickly inside of a shipping crate. He only could hope these gifts could make up for the shit he had pulled in the past, looking at them he remembered the people who used to drive them and he ticked them off in his head: Dom, Leon, Jesse, Vince, and Letty. One dead, two MIA, and two probably would want to rip his head off when they saw him now. He leaned back against the crate and waited for his friends.

Word reached his ears that races were going to be taking place in a whole different area tonight, and if rumour was correct, not just tonight but for a while to come. He had to admit the area was a smart choice, so high with crime that the police would have been damn foolish to even attempt to go there and break up the races, so hopefully they didn’t even bother, it would be nice to have a decent race night where the cops didn’t go and bust it up. Eyeing his phone he slipped it into his back pocket, no calls from his sister, except for the one about her car breaking down two days earlier. Odd.

Shrugging ever so slightly he slid into the yellow Skyline and was pulling out of the drive seconds later, driving the all too familiar route to the docks. The sound of booming music, touched his ears and he slowly eased into a space, killing the engine he slid out of his car, damn it was going to be good to get back into the saddle.

Doing a once over of the crowd, he shifted, resting against the side of his car and let out a deep breath. His brow furrowed as his gaze locked on Joker, no there was now ay this guy was back in town, no way in hell.

Joker saw Leon's car come up through the gathering crowd. He checked his phone to make sure that the other texts to Brian and Dom had gone out and made his way over, eyeing his soon to be brother-in-law up and down. He smiled his wide toothy grin and offered his hand out. "Long time no see..." His voice was relatively quiet, barely audible over the crowd. Leon was always hard for him to read but for some reason he had the feeling either he was going to get a brotherly hug, or high fived, in the face, with a fist.

Leon and him had worked a while going back and forth trying to save Jesse from himself and get him away from his father's lifestyle but now, that line between the two men might be the line that would hang Joker. He'd failed Jesse and in a way he had failed Leon. Pushing the thought away he steeled himself for the opening of what was going to be an entertaining night either way.

Leon eyed the hand like it was a snake ready to strike. There was a whole lot of bad memories between them. A whole shit load. Jesse had been the brother he had never had, he had tried to protect him just as he had tried to protect his sister and he had failed in both, and the guy currently stood in front of him had something to do with both of them. He continued eyeing the hand, his own lifting to fold over his chest.

“What are you doing here Dawg?” He questioned, his voice deep and travelling between the space of them and staying there. There were more people arriving, more music and more noise, perfect time for a throw down If this conversation turned any more sour. Knowing their history, there was a perfect chance of that.

“You caused enough trouble”

Joker retracted his hand, guess it was better then the alternatives. "Well to extend an olive branch. I'm out of the game, NSA's letting me go finally. I'm working to get Brian off the hook at the moment. And if you think I had anything to do with you guys getting caught on that last run...It wasn't me, I probably would have been sitting in a prison next to Dom if I said anything." He took a deep breath and looked Leon up and down his emotions getting the better of him, in a calm voice he tried not to sound too accusing. "I went to Jess's grave man. Paid my respects. What the fuck happened, you were suppose to be watching him." Joker shook his head and shoved his hands into the pockets of his blue jeans

“You think you’d be standing if I thought differently?” He questioned eyeing the male in front of him. Yea, he thought he was a dick, but he didn’t think he was the type of guy to grass on the guys he was meant to care about, but then again, he had thought a lot when it came to Joker, a lot and he had been proven wrong when it came to him, more than once.

Dark eyes turned deadly as he eyed the male in front of him. His hands dropped to his hands, balling into tight fists, every ounce of him screamed to just let lose, lash out and pound every inch he could touch. Every fucking inch. His jaw rolled, clenching tight. It was a damn low blow, real low. Jesse had been a damn brother, his death had torn him to bits. He marched the short distance between them, jamming a finger into his chest. “Where the hell were you for Faye?” He hissed, his voice deep and filled with dark intent.

Joker's breath caught for a second, only a split second but he recovered. "Sorry, that was out of line. Jesse always jumped the gun when he had an idea. As for where was I? Hunting down and killing everyone that had put her life in danger...and staying away hoping they'd realize that she wasn't part of my life." He closed his eyes and relaxed his body with a deep breath, "Until now." He looked to the dirt at Leon's feet and then finally got out what he wanted to say. "I proposed to her two days ago, she said yes." Everything he wanted to say was out on the table, not exactly the tact he would normally show but now he knew that being blunt was probably going to be the best if he wanted to start anew and get the trust they had back.

He seemed to come to his senses but that didn’t change the anger that was still rushing through his veins. Being around Joker just brought back all of those memories, all of that guilt and self loathing. “He raced Tran, I didn’t get to him in time” He heaved in a deep breath diverting his gaze and turning away from him, shaking his head ever so slightly. Shifting his gaze back over to him he shook his head. “Damn idiot Dawg damn idiot”

“What?” He growled lowly, his eyes darkening with anger once more. He didn’t think this time, didn’t hesitate once. His curled fist came rushing forward, bone connecting with bone and flesh. Surging forward his hands bunched into his shirt, forcing him backwards.

“You broke her fucking heart” Leon hissed with a shake of his head. “You come back and propose?”

Joker had just enough time to think "Well, this is going to suck." Before the fist collided with him knocking loose a few stitches in his mouth, lucky considering if it had been his Ab's he'd be down for the count...maybe permanently. He quickly recovered and spun Leon's hand away from him and gave him a gentle albeit forceful shove in the center of his spine directly between the shoulder blades, enough to knock him off balance to push him away. "Okay I don't think I deserved that one mate." He wiped a trail of blood from his mouth. "I'm out, I'm done. I'm here to be the guy she deserves, I even have a job pushing papers for a living now working as an intern for a bank." He spat a red globule into the dirt to his side. "I'm not leaving again, not leave you her, the team. None of this." He raised his hands and gestured around. "You don't recognize this place?" He walked closer and said, barely a whisper over the crowds. "Where do you think those shipments came from man? I risked a lot to help you guys out when I made it."

If there was one thing Leon had forgotten it was how trained Joker was, and just how he could disarm someone, or quickly end a fight. Catching himself he turned dark eyes onto him. “Didn’t deserve?” He questioned a laugh falling from his lips, the deep rumble echoing in the space around them. “You didn’t see her Dawg” Yet he didn’t believe a word that was coming out of his mouth, just like his sister didn’t. He had been fed to many bullshitting lies to believe anything out of his mouth.

For a moment his gaze shifted around the lot and he looked back to him “I know exactly what this place is” He muttered with a shake of his head. Heaving in a deep breath he exhaled. Of all the people he had expected his sister to settle down with it wasn’t the male in front of him, in fact right at this moment he would have preferred Jack.

Scrubbing a hand over the back of his neck he let it out again, eyeing the male before him “You hurt her dawg, be the last thing you do”

"Yeah, it will be. I never have lied to any of you guys and you know that. I'm not going to be dicking around with that stuff ever again. I'm trying to unfuck my life. This past year has been hell and I've bled to put things right." He unbuttoned his shirt slightly and showed the patch over the bullet wound. "There's a matching one on my back." He held his hand up showing the wrap around his fingers. "I was prepared to die to start putting my mistakes right." None of his words were harsh, just explaining himself. "Things got too messy this time and it reminded my why I started this job. It was exactly the same shit as when I left Faye the first time. It's not happening again...she's the best thing that ever happened to me and I'm going to make it clear to her that she is."

Leon listened to Joker with half rapt attention. He couldn’t believe his sister was getting married, couldn’t actually get his head around it, and what was more, she was getting married to a guy like Joker, after her past, he would have thought she would have settled down with someone nice and steady, Joker was anything but.

Dark eyes trailed down to the wounds he was being showed and he shook his head, “Never could have a quiet life” He muttered with a huff of air leaving his lips. Rolling his jaw slightly he let out a another, this time more controlled breath as he took in his old time friend.

“She loves you Dawg. Treat her right” His voice was hard. “I cant lose her to” Looking away from Joker he took in the scenery and smiled, yea it was damn good to be back in the sandal.

Well, the day had finally come. Dom heard about this new place opening up and tonight was its grand opening, here was the chance for him to get back into what he knew best. On the way there, he had to wonder how many drivers he knew from the old days would still be there, and how many of those dreaded 'how the hell are you out' questions he would get. That wasn't going to hold him back from here though, he needed to be there, both for pride and for "intel."

His matte black charger made it's presence known as he rolled through the gates and into the lot. It was home just as he remembered it, and he couldn't help but smile. He saw Leon's R33 parked along the fence and figured he'd bring his charger along side it. As he parked, he spotted Leon and another guy...was that Walter? Yes, it was Walter, what the hell was he doing here, and how did he escape that hospital fiasco? With a bit of a head shake he stepped out of his car and made his way to them.
"Can't say I was expecting you here." He looked over at Joker.

"Trust me, what's in the past will stay there this time. I'm doing what I can to put things right, this here is one of many first steps." As he finished his sentence he saw Dom roll up in the classic muscle. "Glad to disappoint man." He laughed and looked at his hand. "Actually I'm only here because of you and Brian dropping in on me. Seems it's another favor I owe you." Joker smiled and looked over his shoulder, "So...as I was telling Leon, I'm starting to make up for ditching you guys and actually I brought some gifts. Don't worry I got them legally and without strings attached. I remember how much work you put into these babies so I figured it's only fair you guys get them back."

With that Joker backpeddled slightly and turned to face the five cars under their covers. Quickly he removed the shrouds one by one revealing the old heist cars. "Already went through and swept them for bugs, tracers, and anything else that the police might have decided to add." He stood back and watched his friends.

"Is that right." He smirked a bit as he recalled that hospital drop in. Joker always played the same tune in these situations, and yet his 'favors' could quickly turn into nightmares. There was always strings attached with him, it made Dom wonder why he had ever hooked up with this guy.

He folded his arms as he watched the covers fall off of those black civics. Admittedly, he was excited inwardly, he never thought he'd see those horses again. "You got these legally, you say?" He asked with a bit of skepticism. "I dunno how you did it, man." He glanced at Leon and grinned as he walked around the cars.

"The NSA owed me several favors after this last job, they didn't expect me to live through it but were happy I did. Pretty much I bled out my freedom. When they gave me my last debrief I asked for a few favors, new identity, these, and a couple other things. Aside from that my records were expunged and I was free and clear. The catch 22 is that if I ever have a run in with the goons I worked for before the NSA picked me up, I have to handle it without the police. But it's been a long few years and now I'm not the same guy I was then..." He shot a glance at Leon then turned back to Dom. "And I also have a reason to keep out of trouble now, I proposed to Faye."

After all these years, she was finally going to see him. She stopped just a few steps away from Leon's place when her chocolate eyes focused on the Charger or 'the curse' she used to call it.

Leon wasn't alone and she didn't mind that Dom was with him. Finally, she walked in just in time to see and hear Walter. 'And I also have a reason to keep out of trouble now, I proposed to Faye.'. "Congrats!" her voiced filled the place. "Hello gentlemen," she started to say just as the men attention was directly to the youngest member of the Toretto family. She smiled at Leon and walked straight to him giving him a hug.

The familiar sound of the charger touched his ears and he turned his gaze and thankfully his attention from Joker, because in all honestly this whole proposing to his sister thing was not settling well with him and he wanted to pound into him some more, which of course would just put him back on the bad side of his sister, a place he did not want to be. As Dom approached him Leon gave him a stiff nod of his head, settling against the side of his car.

“They want I think they are?” He questioned stepping over to them, his gaze racking over the cars, as his hand smoothed over the black paint work. Shaking his head he let out a scoff, his gaze shifting over towards Joker with a shake of his head. He couldn’t believe it, he didn’t know whether to hug his old friend, or punch him again, those cars brought back to many memories.

He winced at that word again “Lets not go there Dawg” He muttered, as he was quickly embraced by Mia, hell he hadn’t even seen her approach. Smiling he smoothed a hand through her hair, quickly holding her at arms length. “Mia” Offering her a smile he pulled her into another quick hug before letting her go. “How you been girl?”

"Hey I know it's not a lot but it's at least a step in the right direction to make it up to ditching out on the family. I mean it's not as drastic as taking a bullet like I did for Brian but it's something." He said shrugging and walking around the cars eyeballing them then wiping a smudge off a door handle with his thumb. "I think what I'm trying to say is, give me a chance to get shit right this time. Start anew, you know minus the truck raiding and me rick rolling mobsters." He smirked and flipped a switch a little bit away from the crate of cars lighting the entirety of the lot. "Regardless, it's a race night guys. Let's have some fun." He pulled the keys from his pocket and tossed one to each person, Dom then Leon then to Mia and finally held the two others. "Got one for Brian if he shows and one for myself. Show these kids how we play."

"Good, how about you?"she reply to Leon taking a quick look around her surroundings. "Good to see you too, Dom" she turned to Dom. Her older brother "dissapeared" for the last two or three days, waking up too damn early and getting home late. She could tell he was home or out every time he closed the front door as the sound vibrated through the whole house reaching her ears.

She really hoped Dom wasn't getting in anymore trouble, but deep down knew something was up and to have him here with Leon and Walter... this couldn't be good. 'Damn' she thought as she caught the keys in her hands. "Crap," she muttered under her breath. 'It's race night' the last thing she needed to hear although she had to admit those three words sounded like fun and danger too.
