She walked in the house clearly stressed about bumping into Brian, placing the grocery bags on the counter lost in her thoughts. She filled a glass with water and drank a little to calm herself even though she still felt a little pissed with so many words that needed to be said and thrown at Brian. Emotionally, she was drained and tired.
Dom couldn’t see her like that, what good would it be to talk to Dom about Brian? Wasn’t she taking a risk by talking to Dom? More importantly, would he be able to ease her mind? No, it was better if she didn’t say a word…

Dom was in their small garage adjusting the supercharger boost on his charger when he heard Mia's car roll in to the driveway. He moved his eyes towards the driveway and saw Mia practically stomp into the house without saying anything to him. He'd lived with her for too long to not know that was a tell-tale sign something was up. He wiped his hands on a rag and threw it back on the engine, leaving the garage for the house.
His shadow soon enter the kitchen where he saw her, along with a pile of supermarket bags. He moved over to the bags and starting taking stuff out. "Shopping took that much out of you, huh?" He said a little sarcastically.

She was going to reply but she had so much in her mind that the only thing she could do was just let out an exasperated sigh. She was beyond pissed, she could feel the words stuck in her throat but first she had to calm down a lot before talking.
She drank more water. "Not exactly, I- I bumped in to Brian. Why couldn´t we move to another place such as New York or Puerto Rico or Brazil?"
Mia was not a fan of Brian and the way his name left her lips was so much different and obvious. "That trip to Tokyo should´ve never happen," she spoke more to herself but loud enough for Dom to hear, her eyes met Dom´s, let the questions begin.

Dom gave a confirming nod when his suspicions were confirmed. He still didn't really understand why Mia was so upset over Brian, he had his guessed and assumptions, but that was all they were. "You get that upset over him?" He asked raising a brow.
Inwardly, he was a little shocked to hear she made an excursion to Tokyo as well, he hadn't heard that part of the story. Now he had a new suspicion. "Were you tied up in Brian and Walter's mess or something?" He said thinking up the only reason she would've been in Japan.

She took a seat. “Brian asked for my help when he was stuck in Tokyo… and of course I jumped in a plane and went to help him,” she looked down at her hands trying to choose her words carefully.
“After everything started to get all complicated with you being in jail, I just ended the relationship with Brian, a stupid thing to do, I was scared, I thought I could cope with you being locked in jail all by myself, so when he called I guess – I had in mind for things to not be the way they are now,”
She tried to remember as much as she could of those day stuck in Tokyo. “That´s how I knew Cole Peyton and that´s how I also knew he had moved on and had a new person in his life. I helped as much as I could and were on the run for a few days, and one night we just talked and some old feeling surfaced and I left”
“That day after meeting with uncle Stephano at the ´Luna Azure´, Brian came to me and asked what the hell was going, why was I in that place full with the mob, I didn’t give him an explanation. He wants to be friends, but I just can´t. As I explained to him, Mira doesn’t like me, I don’t like her either but who am I to have a friendship with him? He´s a father now, like I told him, I don’t want to be the reason something happens in his relationship, but he was right on one thing, the racing world is too small and we are going to bump into each other… He´s your friend and I can’t deny him to see you, but when it comes to me…”
“I just wished I realize what I had,” she cleared her throat feeling a huge weight being lift off her shoulders, she blinked looking down at her hands quickly wiping away a tear, this small and special moments were the ones she wished to have her mother around not that Dom wasn´t a great listener or a good adviser. But even if she had these kind of moments with her brother, she would never regret them, because he was her family.

Dom leaned against the wall and crossed his arms as Mia sat down. Predictably, she gave the account on the past months. He thought it was cool that even after over 5 years, the communication between brother and sister didn't change, not even a little bit.
Things finally started to make sense as she explained, Brian's attitude, her attitude, it all fell into place for him. He looked down at the table and sighed, picking the right words in this situation wasn't easy. "Pushing Brian away isn't going to do you any emotional favors, it'll just end in even more resentment." He said tenderly. "I've gotten the feeling that he's as hurt about this as you are. There's no purpose to bottle up whatever feelings you two have."
He shifted over towards the table and took a seat of his own. "Brian would be a happier guy if you told him this, as hard as it would be."

She listen carefully at what Dom had to say, Brian sort of knew... before leaving the grocery store she was clear with him not wanting to "get in the way" of Brian´s new life and also told him not to get all excited about her being civil with him.
She did not speak just nodded at her brother words. She stood up and approached Dom smiling and giving him a hug. "Thank you," she started to say as she kissed his cheek. "I love you," she then walked to the counter and started to see at all the groceries taking a few and starting cooking.

Her reaction was a bit of a surprise to Dom, he rather expected some excuse saying why she couldn't be up front with Brian. Although, of all people that would agree with him on such a statement, a Toretto would certainly be the first to. That's how their family dealt with challenges, looked them right in the face, do what needed to be done, and said what needed to be said.
"Brian is a good man, Mia. Lost at times, but goodhearted." He turned his head to look towards the kitchen, which reminded him he hadn't eaten all day. "What's for dinner?"

´Brian is a good man, Mia´ the words resonated inside of her head; there was a moment of silence until he changed the subject. "You´ll have to wait and see for yourself," she was going to cook one of Dom´s favorite. "Get out there and work on some cars," hitting him lightly in the arm.

Dom gave a small smile and shook his head at the answer he was accustomed to hearing. "That answer's a good sign." He said in a non-typical playful voice. "Call me when it's ready." He said and went out the door. OOC: Idea...how about this thread merges in with the one Dom and Brian have right now and the THREE of them end up having dinner?? lol
