Dom slipped into the door, looking around. He was distinctively uncomfortable, but this wasn't for him, anyway.
The lady at the counter looked scared, like she thought he'd come to rob the place (it might have had something to do with coming straight from DT's) so he smiled as nicely as he could and went over to the engagement jewelry.

Tossing her mane of toffee colored hair over her shoulder she gave her best flirtatious smile to the man who had just walked through the door. He wasn't typically the type of man she went for but damn if he wouldn't do for a once off.
He could be passably good looking under all that engine grease, she'd seen Leon in passing the other day. Rumour had it he was with someone new, well it wasn't like she could just expect him to wait was it. She needed a stress relief, she was tempted to shut up the shop and offer it all to him.
Nessa: Can i help you with anything.
She stressed the anything with a roll of her tongue, leaning forward to give a view of her ample cleavage. He didn't even glance, what the hell was he? blind or gay? Ugh, he was looking at the engagement rings.
Rolling her eyes discreetly she turned a distainful look at him. Her blue eyes took in the fact he hadn't even bothered to wash before he came shopping.
Nessa: In fact i know i can help, i'm quite sure everything here isn't not what your looking for. There is a less exclusive jewelers down the road

"Honey, this is jjust what I was lookin' for," he drawled. He knew exactly why she was acting like that; and it wasn't his clothes. "I want to look at that one right there." He pointed to a $6000 ring that looked just like what Letty would love.

The newest laker girl had only agreed to do this to help out a friend. Hell what did she care if he robbed the whole store wasn't her problem right? But god if she said this grease monkey hadn't hurt her pride she'd be lying.
Her blue eyes cold she couldn't do anything other than purse her lips and open the cabinet to which he'd pointed. She resented the fact she had to get down on her knees near him to get this particular tray.
In fact the beautiful brunette was quite sure that was why he'd done it. Like he was in some way putting her in her place. If Martin wasn't paying her commission on top of a wage she'd have told this neanderthal where he could go.
Nessa: Is this the one Sir,
She sneered the word sir still half doubting he could pay for it. She slowly got back to her feet and placed the ring on the counter.

The ring was beautiful: a full carat diamond on a braided-gold ring, beautiful yet edgy enough for Letty's tastes. He noticed the sneer and figured she thought he couldn't pay.
"If you have it in a 7, I'll take it," he said finally, reaching for his wallet. As she went about getting it for him, he finally noticed that she was actually pretty hot, but he noticed it in the same way he'd noticed Giselle: clinical, detached. He then realized just how whipped he was.

As she slipped her lithe form through the door into the back Vanessa began to curse her luck. If this man was actually genuine and could pay for this ring Martin would kill her if she lost his custom.
On the other hand she thought if he wasn't she'd just left him alone with a hell of a lot of stock. Searching among the shelves she finally found the ring she was looking for. Straightening her chanel slip dress she composed herself before heading back out.
The cream colored dress accentuated her hourglass figure and tanned skin, yet this man didn't appear to notice. Suffice to say Vanessa hadn't been so throughly ignored since middle school before she developed curves that wouldn't look out of place at the monaco grand prix.
Nessa: Would you like it in a wooden box or a velvet one. Small tip you'll be able to clean oil scuffs off of the wooden one, you won't from velvet.
She couldn't help the bitchy tone, he reminded her of Leon. He would have looked so out of place in a jewelery store as well.

"I'll take the velvet: oil stains will be inevitable." He looked her up and down, just once, to make sure what he'd seen was right, and then dismissed it, knowing that he'd probably just pissed her off, but not bringing himself to care. The oil stains that would be on the box would probably make Letty like it more, not less.
"Do you take cash?" He knew they did; as long as it was all real, they couldn't turn it away.

Vanessa almost felt like kicking herself when he pulled out rolls upon rolls of $100 bills. Swallowing hard and shutting her eyes for a second in frustration she sighed.
She took the beautiful full carat ring from him and slipped it into the dainty velvet box. Placing it inside a branded back she tied the top with satin ribbons.
The cash was placed onthe counter and the brunette quickly skimmed it through her hand counting the amount before ringing it into the till. She wasn't about to apologise chances were she would never see him again.

"Thank you, Miss, I'll be sure to come here if I need anything else." And he knew he would; his rate of messing up lately was getting higher not lower, making the need to buy 'I'm sorry' gifts grow as well.
He took the bag from her, flashed her his best smile (the one that even Faye said was hot), and made his way out the door and to his car, still grinning. He had the ring; all he needed now was the place.
