Dom walked into the apartment to see Letty sitting on the couch, which was good, as they had some things to discuss. He had a feeling she wouldn't be sleeping at the apartment if what he had to say didn't go over well, especially because of Eva.
"Hey, Letty."

Letty was simply relaxing infront of the TV when she heard the front door open. The man she loved was slowly bursting from behind it, and he seemed serious, too serious in her eyes.
All she could do was shake that feeling off and stick with her plan. It's been way too long since these two had spent the night together and Letty thought that tonight was finally going to be the night. Hey, Letty. Dom mouthed, and she immediately recognized something else in his tone.
"What's up?" She replied lightly and rose to her feet, getting closer to him with a small, devilish grin on her face.

"Did I ever tell you about Eva?" he asked quietly, inwardly wincing as the smile fell from her face. He knew what she was thinking - that he had cheated on her yet again, and shook his head quickly before continuing.
"She's this little girl I was taking care of in Mexico, before I got the call that you were..." He didn't finish that sentence, not wanting to remember that time, one of the darkest in his life. "She had run off just before I got the call, but I had told her if she ever got in trouble to look for me in LA. She showed up at Bar Bros. this morning; Brian said she had slept in the office after breaking in."

Letty wrapped her arms around him, leaning her cheek against his chest and taking in his warmth. His low voice was calling out another woman's name and before Letty could even say something - she instantly figured it wasn't good.
Her curved up lips had lost their smile, she was pulling away from him and obviously waiting for an explanation. Dom spoke up again, bringing up some intense memories Letty was more than ready to forget. Damn it. she cursed in her heart, kissing their romantic evening plans goodbye. Dom said she was a little girl he took under his wing in Mexico, and that she had followed him into the States.
Letty wasn't stupid, how could a little girl cross the border and find him all by herself? Something was rather suspicious. She wasn't buying his story completely. "How old did you say she is?"

"15," he answered, seeing the anger and suspicion in her eyes, and matching the anger perfectly. "And if you think for a minute that anything happened with her, you don't know me," he growled softly. "Her family had found her and taken her home; to Miami, I think. She escaped and came here. Mia called me this morning and she's at the Fort." At the continued glare, he rumbled, "was I supposed to let her run away and starve? Pregnant?"

Letty was taken aback a little when Dom spat out the girl's age. She was truly stunned and didn't know what to say. She was also a bit offended when he said she didn't know him at all if she suspected he had a thing with that girl.
"Fifteen?" Letty grunted and threw her loosened body back on the couch. Her thoughts were running wild and unfocused as she tried to start and think of something to say. Dom was a strong person, everybody saw it. And all sorts of people were drawn to him because of his charm and confidence. People probably just felt like he could somehow help them - each one with his own interest. But they had their own problems to deal with right now, and Letty was mad that he brought in just another 'problem'.
"Great. That's exactly what we needed right now. Someone to replace Jessie. She spoke the last word almost soundlessly, and choked on it with shame. The anger inside her just kept on building up and she knew it wasn't going to be long until she blew up.

"She is NOT a replacement for Jessie!" he roared, pacing away from her. "Jessie needed the garage; she just needs me, at least until the baby is born and she can disappear," he said softly, looking at her, willing her to understand.

"You know I didn't mean that." Letty whispered painfully. Her eyes flickered back and forth blindly, she was ready to hit someone. It was true, she didn't even mean to mention Jessie, it just slipped out between her lips in a moment of weakness. Frustration, anger, desperation, self-doubts...everything mixed up and ate her from the inside. She felt trapped.
"Oh. Good. Cause I was beginning to think that you were going to volunteer and be this baby's father too!" She yelled back, just when Dom was starting to sound a bit more composed. "Fuck!!!" Letty shouted and punched the white pillow to her left, feeling her iron fist slamming into the soft padding.
She couldn't bring herself to look at Dom, she couldn't bring herself to do absolutely nothing. So she just remained silent and paralyzed, like a blank-expression statue.

"Why would I want to be father to a baby that isn't yours?" he asked, not even thinking about what he was saying. "She doesn't even want the thing, but she's too far along to get rid of it. When it's born, she'll probably put it up for adoption, and that's probably the best thing for it." He flinched when she punched the pillow; Letty was the only woman who actually could get him to flinch without meaning to.
"Calm down."

His next words caught her in a complete surprise, and Letty felt herself running out of breath. She only dared to think of having a baby a couple of times with her life, but she knew she and Dom weren't exactly a normal couple. Thoughts of having an ordinary family, her as the little housewife and Dom takes a 9 to 7 job was bizarre.
"Easy for you to say." Letty fired sharply when he asked her to calm down. A moment of silence fell upon the room, and it seemed to stretch out and turn into ages. Ages of cold, distant silence.
"So what do you want me to say? Like, what am I supposed to do with all of this now?" She questioned, finally raising her head to look at him.

"I wanted you to know, because I can't keep her at the Fort; Brian still gets random checks there and she shouldn't be there anyway. I wanted to explain her so that if it comes down to her having to be here, you wouldn't immediately kick her out." At her incredulous expression, he relented slightly.
"She can be a bitch, sometimes, I won't deny that, but you can't deny you can be one, too. Just... Give her a chance. That's all I ask for."

Letty's eyes widened in shock, she couldn't believe the words that came out of her man's mouth. A lump of anger was keeping her from saying something, and she just shook her head to the left and to the right, clearly displaying a disagreement. A sad smile was spreading on her lips for just a moment when she remembered all the good times, when they were free and on the run. Those times were obviously gone, and Letty had no idea what had become of her and the man she loved.
"Are you fucking serious? No way!" she finally said, and that was it. She had said her last word.

Dom stared at her. She honestly thought that she had a say in who came into the apartment? Then he felt the weight of the box in his pocket; it meant that she did, in fact, have that say.
"Then where is she supposed to go?" he asked quietly, remembering that at one time, he'd have been just as enthusiastic about keeping someone, especially a 15-year-old girl who wasnt even part of the family, in their personal space. He could see where she was coming from, and knew that he wouldn't be able to change her mind.

Letty shrugged when Dom questioned her. She honestly didn't care about that chick at that moment. She was pissed at how things have turned out and was more than ready to finish that conversation.
"Not my fucking problem." She hissed and gave him a hostile look. "That's so not how I planned tonight." she whispered, sounding a thousand miles away in her mind. She bent over the table and tossed the CD on it back into one of the drawers. She rented a romantic comedy for them both and asked Mia to talk her through cooking a chocolate cake.
The cake was still in the oven, and Letty remembered it, but she no longer cared. "There's a cake in the oven, maybe you can invite your friend to taste some of it." She said sarcastically and walked off.

"Letty, come back here!" Dom said, following her into the bedroom. "i already told you, she's like a daughter to me!" He knew that he'd said the wrong thing when she turned on him.

"Whatever! I'm outta here." Letty declared and grabbed her backpack. She didn't even have the chance to unpack and she was heading for the door once more. It hurt like hell, but she felt like this wasn't her place at that moment.
"Don't follow me. I need sometime to think." she said in a shivering voice and walked out of the front door.

Dom grabbed her from behind, holding her still as he buried his face in her neck. His other hand reached into his pocket, where the ring was like a lead weight, and slipped it into her pack, in one of the side pockets that she never used.
"Please, Letty..." he murmured, trying to get her to stay, but knowing it was useless.

Feeling Dom's huge hands on her only made everything alot worse, but Letty expected this, she knew he wouldn't give up that easily. She, however, was determined to leave. And when Letty decided something, nothing stopped her, not even the alpha male of the street racing scene in LA.
"Let me go." she murmured restlessly and grew back, pulling her body away and breaking the touch. The only thing she felt was his lips on her neck, so when the small box dropped into on of the pockets of her backpack - she had no idea.
She gave him one final look before opening her car and driving away.

Dom proceeded to completely destroy the couch she had been sitting on, and threw the picture of the two of them - the only one he had - against the wall, shattering the wood and glass frame, before shredding it to pieces in his pain.
This was much different than when he'd thought she was dead. Then, it hadn't really been her choice to leave. But now, she had walked out on her own, and he hadn't been able to stop her.
Eventually the destruction stopped and he regretted tearing up the picture, even knowing that Mia had more at the Fort. He wondered where Letty would go: there weren't many places that he didn't frequent that would welcome her without question.
He sighed and realized that for the first time in awhile, he really missed Vince; he wouldn't have to say anything to be understood, and Vince really was his best friend.
