Jack snorted at the way Brian replied when it confirmed his suspicions perfectly. "I would have if I wasn't on the road already."

His brother's next words made his jaws tense up in anger while he shot a quick look at Faye. The reminder of him having walked out of her had finally faded to the background a bit and here was Brian, shoving it right back in his face at the first opportunity he had. "I'm not fucking chickening out of anything, you ass. Faye and I are on our way to Miami for a couple of days." He practically growled through clenched teeth. "So you gonna do it or not?"

The tone of Jack's voice made Brian flinch involuntarily. Sometimes he was a little hard on Jack, who did deserve it - mostly.
To calm his pissed off brother down he replied. "Sure, I'll make sure she's fine!"
Then he changed the subject. "What are you guys doing in Miami?" Hopefully nothing stupid. Brian knew Faye was from down there so she probably wanted to see her family.

When Brian finally just gave the answer he wanted to hear, Jack let out a breath to let the anger subside from both his mood and his tone a little before he answered the next question. "We're going there because Faye wanted to go home for a few days. See if it helps her face her past." He furrowed his brow for a moment before he added. "Didn't we already tell you we were going?" With all the hectic shit going around lately, it was hard to keep track of things so he may or may not have slipped his mind to tell his brother.

Brian lifted his hand to shield his eyes from the blazing sun.
"No, you didn't or maybe I just didn't hear it over Tyler's cries or I forgot due to a lack of sleep."
He watched a few ladies walk past. One of them was pregnant and Brian caught himself guessing how far along she was. With a shake of his head he asked.
"How long are you staying away?"

Jack smirked at the name of his nephew. Even though the little one was adorable, he was glad he mostly only got to see the cute side and not the crying on end side. "So the little tyke is keeping you and Mia up all night. huh? Hate to say it, but I'm glad I'm not in your shoes right now, bro."

He looked over at Faye for a moment while he shrugged at the question. "Don't know, we haven't really decided on how long yet. I guess we'll see when we get there."

"Well, keep your phone on...just in case."
Like usually there was always a small dark cloud on the horizon when things ran smoothly and today Brian's cloud was called Verone. Not that he had heard or seen him around but you never knew.
"If I need you, you'll have to swing your butt on a plane and come running, okay?"

Jack couldn't help but chuckle at Brian's words. His brother never seemed to be able to stop worrying and just enjoy life for what it was for a while. As far as he knew, after Isabelle had been arrested, again, by the Feds there were no more crazy people out for their blood and things had gone pretty much back to normal-ish.

"You shouldn't be looking for a shit storm behind every corner, bro. Just relax and enjoy being a dad for a change, huh? What's the worst thing that can happen now, aside from being up to your elbows in dirty diapers maybe."

Faye turned her gaze onto Jack, brow furrowed she could only imagine what Brian was saying from Jacks last statment. She threw him a small smile, the reason Brian was so worried was because someone had been gunning for her life and they hadnt cared who they had gone after to get them.

Noticing that the road in front of her was slightly clearer then it had been a moment ago she pressed her foot down on the gas allowing her car to go at least a little faster untill they hit the open road.

"I'm not looking for shit storms, bro...they just find me all the time."
He chuckled at Jack's choice of words. 'shit storm' -how fitting with all the poopy diapers.
A little more serious he explained.
"When I was in Miami I didn't only make friends. Me and Rome put a pretty bad boy behind bars. He was recently released and who knows what he's up to."

"Oh, you gotta be kidding me..." Jack dropped his head back against the seat and pinched the bridge of his nose while he let out an annoyed groan. His brother really did have a knack for seeing things that weren't there when life was running more smoothly again. "What part of 'relax' didn't you understand? You're either becoming really paranoid or.. Shit, I don't know, take a damn Xanax or something."

He shook his head with a smirk and a slight chuckle. "Look man, I'm gonna hang. Try not to get spooked by your own shadow, ok, bro?"

Faye looked over at Jack with an amused shake of her head, but she couldnt blame Brian for being on the edge of his seat, he had a new family, he had so much to loose if someone came after him, with a smile, she slipped down the exit and licked her lips. "Ya know xanex, damn powerful"She laughed with a rooll of her eyes "Iv seen Brian Drink, him on that not a good combo"

She smiled over at him and let out a breath, shifting to turn the music back up again, soon she'd be on the open road and she could finally push her car for all her worth. "Tej is lending us his place so we dnt have to worry botu Motels"

Jack shoved his phone back in his pocket while he let out a laugh. "I wouldn't know about the Xanax, but I do know a wasted Brian is either really hilarious or really annoying. Sadly for the rest of the world, the latter seems to be more common." He shrugged. "He just needs to unwind for a change."

He looked over at her for a moment and nodded. "I suppose that saves us some shit. Though I gotta say, I was really looking forward to squeaky beds and raunchy pay per view porn." He grinned, shooting her a wink.

Faye laughed, looking over at him. "Well im sure there will be porn...and if there isnt im sure we can make our own" SHe shot him a smirk and a wink resting on hand on her knee, the other one holding loosely to the wheel, her foot pressing down just enough on the gas to give her a little juice, easily over taking the car in front of her.

"And i can tell you now the bed will be squeeky" SHe laughed, knowing exactly what Tej and Sukki got up to"

Jack nodded with a smirk and placed a hand on her leg, sliding it to her inner thigh. "Making our own porn actually sounds pretty damn good. Make our own private collection." He half joked. He wouldn't mind putting some of their one on one action on film sometime.

He raised an eyebrow at her next statement and shook his head with a laugh. "Yeah, I would have preferred to remain blissfully ignorant on that one, babe."

It took them a couple of days, a lot of stops before they finally made it into Miami, but it hadnt taken as long as it had when she had made the journey to LA, but then again she now had a decent car, with a decent engine and one that wasnt thretening to fall apart at the first mention of a long journey.

She was thankfull tht she was driving, she didnt think she would have been able to cope with being in the passenger seat, especially the closer and closer they got to South Beacth, she swallowed, heart beat rappidly in her chest. Tej's garage was up ahead of them, right on the corner. Her own old appartment was right down the road, about ten minuets to the left and she really hoped she never had to go that far.

"Welcome to South Beach" She stated, hopeing he didnt notice the nerves in her voice, but she doubted he would have missed the death grip she had on her wheel.

Instead of taking in the vibrant environment of Miami, Jack focused on Faye with a slightly furrowed brow, the nerves in her voice almost as evident as the whiteness of her knuckles. If she gripped the steering wheel any tighter, he was almost sure it would crumble under her fingers and he was starting to think that maybe going here wasn't such a good idea for her after all.

"You gonna be ok being back here?"

Faye turned her gaze onto Jack, nodding her head slowly, she would be okay, she'd be damned if her past stopped her having a good time in a beautiful place like Miami, she smiled, loosenign her grip on the wheel, just enough to allow some colour to return to her hands.

"Im gonna be fine" She stated, mroe to herself then to Jack, if she could convince herselfshe would be fine, then she knew she would, she had enough practice of lying to herself, why could this be any different. With a smile, she cut in front of a driver going far to slow. "So where to, beach, sites or the house"

Jack watched her a moment longer before he shrugged at her question. "I really don't give a shit at the moment as long as it's somewhere I can stretch my legs. My ass is killing me from all the sitting." He laughed. "That, and I could do with a smoke some time soon."

He turned his gaze out the window as they passed the beach, eyes roaming over the bikini clad women for a moment. Seemed like the view on that was even better here than in LA. With a slight smirk, he turned his attention back to Faye. " So I'd say your pick. You know this place better than I do."

Faye licked her lips as she followed his gaze to the beach, in LA, you tended to find the bikini clad woman close to the beach and then on the beach but here it tended to be every where you went, there was more then likely half naked woman wondering around. SHe smiled, signalling to take the turn away from the beach, it was a slightly shadey part of south Beach and not many people came down there, which made it a good place to park.

"Beach it is" SHe stated with a laugh, she continued to drive for a couple of minuets, before pulling into a car park, quickly finding a space, from there it was about a ten minuet walk to the beach, less if they were fast. Once parked she looked over at him, eyes twinkling. "If your really good ill take you to the nudest beach" She laughed as she removed the seat belt.

Jack snorted amused and shook his head before he pulled the earlier stashed cigarette from behind his ear, placing it between his lips while he got out of the car. "I'm surprised you still don't know that I'm always good."

With a smirk on his face, he shot her a wink over the roof of the car while he lit the cancerstick, taking a long drag and welcoming the nicotine in to his system after the long drive. "But I'm all for the beach, nude or not, so lead the way, baby." He laughed while letting the smoke flow free with his words.
