Jack was more slouching than leaning against the side of the Evo, the 'what ifs' eating away at him more and more with every second that passed. What if he had brought this on her, what if he could have somehow prevented this.. what if.. His eyes snapped up when Brian's voice brought him out of his trance, his brow furrowing at the yelled words as he finally pushed himself away from the car.
"What did th-.." He started, but the sentence fell short when Brian pushed past him, leaving him standing with whatshisface. Without granting the guy even as much as a look, a silent 'fuck' left his lips before he followed inside the FBI building. Moving surprisingly easy passed security on the ground floor, he slipped in to a luckily empty elevator and rapidly button-bashed the button for those goddamned doors to close, all the while hoping security didn't spot him. Yet they did, right before the doors closed. Shit..
The doors dinged open on the eighth floor and he could only swallow at the sight while he slowly raised his hands. Two armed guards. Great. Why oh why did it not occur to his brother that this building wasn't exactly random visitors friendly. His eyes quickly darted around for Trinh. Surely the woman still recognized him somehow, someway after he'd met her here.. once.
"Yo, Trinh! It's Jack.. O'Conner. Brian's brother." He yelled when he spotted the woman, more than glad for the flash of recognition on Trinh's face when she called the two men off. Pulling himself loose from the guard's grip, he adjusted his shirt while he gave her a 'thank you' nod.
"He's in the men's room. Down that hall, first door on the left."
Another grateful 'thank you' nod followed before he made his way toward the appointed door, opening it with slight hesitation. He found his brother sitting on the floor with his back against the wall, head in his hands.
"You ok, man?" He mumbled, but instantly regretted the question. Of course Brian wasn't ok, just as much as he was far from ok. Nothing had brought him closer to his girl, he knew nothing about her whereabouts, not even a hint, or if she was even still alive.. And somehow it was all his stupid fucking fault, it had to be.

What a stupid damn question. Brian wanted to yell. 'Hell, no.' But kept staring at his shoes. They were going to kill Mia, whoever it was would hurt her, cut her open like Buster, scar her beautiful skin, brake her limbs and put her through hell. Unable to bear the thought he felt his throat tighten. His chest felt like somebody had but a rope around and was pulling it tight. So all he could do was try to keep breathing. "They are going to kill Mia, they are going to put her through hell. Because of me." He voice was low and barely audible.
After a moment he found the strenght to pull himself together. Slowly he moved his hands from his face and looked up at his brother with a mixture of hate and desperation that clearly indicated that he was ready for anything. "I'm going to be faster." He pushed himself to his feet and looked Jack in the eye. "We need to find out who you were wroking for, who's behind Daniel. Where is he?" On his way out he asked. "What exactly did you do for him?"

Jack watched his miserable looking brother with barely any life left in his own eyes, but when Brian spoke of 'them' killing Mia he couldn't help but avert them. He didn't want to hear it, especially not after he witnessed what 'they' did to Faye. And why? Because he once again had to stray from the straight path, all for the easy money and this time clearly with more than just the wrong people.
"It was just a simple A to B thing. Nothing special.." He mumbled, finally looking at Brian after avoiding eye-contact for the first few seconds. It wasn't an excuse, not really. He had known damn well money didn't come that easily without any afterward strings attached.
"I don't know where he is. Left him standing after you ran inside."

Brian tried to pull himself together as well as he could even though he felt like crying, yelling and ripping Jack's off all at the same time. He straightened his back and walked past Jack. "I could kill you for being such a stupid ass!" Brian muttered as he walzed down the hallway to where his 'partners' office was located. Apparently Daniel didn't expect Brian to talk about the subject within the walls of the FBI as he had return to his desk. Instead Brian stormed in, reached across the desk and pulled the guy to his feet by his collar. "Start talking!" He yelled before he smashed his fist in his nose and cocked his gun a second later. "Who are you working for and where is my wife or Faye?" The barrell of the gun was pressed right into the agents temple.

Daniel groaned out in pain, eyes blinking against the tears before rolling to the side. The gun against his temple was a bolt move to pull, he had to give the blonde that. Still Daniel was unimpressed as he calmly pushed the barrel away from his head.
"I know we have our differences, O'Conner, but shooting me here would not be the wisest of plans," He said, momentarily drawing his tongue over his upper lip to find copper tasting blood there. "And last time I checked I was working for the same people as you." He said gruffly just as he pried the blonde's hand loose from his collar.

"Don't feed me that bullshit." He put the gun back in his holster to have his hands free, reached across the table again, then walked around it just to whirl Daniel around and kncok him against the next wall face first. With his elbow pressed firnly against the back of his neck he stated. "You got Jack a dirty job, who for? Talk, asshole!"

Daniel did nothing but sound an amused laugh no matter his forced and uncomfortable stance. His own breath bounced off the wall back in his face as the blood of his nose stained the white paint. An elbow shot out, throwing the blonde off balance and as Daniel rounded around, his hand freed the Beretta from it's holster on his belt. Safety was thumbed up while the muzzle aimed at the blonde.
"You think what you're doing here is wise, tough guy?" He asked, swiping blood from his upper lip. The 9mm remained at aim and distance was kept as he pushed the door to his office shut. "You come in here, threaten and assault a federal agent based on what? Your idiot brother out there? He got himself in to shit, not me." He said matter of factly.

It took Brian a moment to suck up the pain that Shaws elbow had caused. It wouldn't be more than a bruise in an hour though. Obviously the moment was alittle to long as he came face to barrell with the guys Barretta. Brian was just as unimpressed by it as Daniel had been moments before. Nobody sane would pull the trigger inside these walls. So Brian brushed it aside and pushed Daniel back against the wall. His hand gripped the other mans hand tight and twisted the weapon out of his hand until it fell to the floor. His grip remained on Daniel's fingers twisting until they faced upwards in a very uncomfortable way while he pinned him against the wall with his left forearm. If he'd twist a little further he'd surely hear some bones break. "Name!"

Daniel gritted his teeth against the pain, his head falling back against the wall. Breathing became slightly more forced as he chuckled. For once O'Conner actually had the balls to take things a step outside the book and get his hands a bit more dirty. Granted the blonde had been given quite the motivational push for it to reach this level, but still. Maybe they weren't so different after all.
"Why are you wasting your time on me," He asked, taking in a sharp breath as his fingers were twisted in to an awkward angle even further. He could feel the strain on the joints of his hand, it wouldn't take much more for them to snap, "You already know who has them and you and I both know it is not me. I can only imagine what is happening to the both of them at this very moment." He said, the tone of his voice taunting if not knowing.

Daniel was clearly pushing Brian. He obviously knew where Mia was or who held her captive. His face came uncomfortably close to Daniels. He could feel the guys breath on his skin. "You have no idea what she means to me. I'll break every bone in your body to find out where she is." To emphasize that he hadn't gotten the answer that he wanted yet he pushed Daniels hand up further until something snapped. "Are you telling me Verone's got her? Where is she?" Brian would not stop until he knew where his wife was.
Briefly he wondered where on earth Jack was and why he wasn't helping him. "You know what...I don't care!" He suddenly pulled out his gun again and pushed it against Daniels thigh.

Jack slowly paced around in front of the closed door, biting on what was left of the nail of his thumb. This was taking too goddamned long for his likings and every second he had to spend between these.. FBI suits, he grew more nervous. It was one thing to beat someone for fun, information, or whatever, in the privacy of a somewhat non public area, but it was another thing to do it right here.
He glanced around the corner of the corridor one last time before he decided to screw it. When it came down to a good old ass-whooping, he never was one to sit on the side-lines and wait it out like some wuss. Especially not now if this guy knew something.
"Holy shit.." He muttered as soon as he opened the door. A bloody nosed whatshisface he had expected, but the gun aimed at the guy's leg with his brother's trigger finger ready to go.. not so much. With a few big paces, he closed the distance between the two and grabbed the gun from Brian's hand, making sure it wasn't fired in the action.
"Now is not the time to buy a one way ticket to Lompoc and drag me down with you in the process, bro!"

brian had expected to be interrupted by another agent or his boss but not by Jack. Did his brother not understand that this was his chance to find Faye and Mia. Roughly he pushed Jack away with his now free hand and yelled. "What the fuck? Did you not get any of the family brains?" Right now Brian was one hundred percent sure that it wasn't him who was about to buy that ticket to Lompoc. His partner had so much dirt on him, it was incredible he still had his badge. Brian pointed his finger at Jack's face. "You wanna know where faye is? Then shut up or help me. close that fucking door." before jack could reach for the handle brian kicked it closed. His hand still had the firm grip on Daniel's fingers. "You still have four more." He pushed up wondering how long the guy would last.

"Yes I did! I seem to be the only one possessing them right now, dipshit." He took a step back when an angry finger was pointed in his face, his hand reaching to close the door until Brian already kicked it closed. His eyes moved from his brother toward Daniel. Of course he wanted to fucking know where Faye was, but this..
"Shit.." He muttered, turning the lock on the door before he closed the blinds to the windows next to it. If they were gonna do this, well Brian already was, he figured the more time they had, the more chance they had to actually make the son of a bitch talk. If the guy even knew anything.
"Better pray we won't need to stock up on soap-on-a-rope after this.." He grumbled as he strangely weighed the gun in his hand. He still remembered the last time he'd held on to one, giving the prison-bus guard an extra ventilation hole by accident. Good times, he thought sarcastically.

Daniel pressed his lips together before his mouth turned in to a pain filled snarl. He hadn't thought O'Conner would actually go through with it, the throbbing pain in one finger telling him differently and now a gun was pressed against his thigh. Eyes cut to the younger O'Conner entering the room, the distraction causing the perfect opportunity to get out of the hold. He headbutted the blonde, the man stumbling back as Daniel ducked down to his discarded Beretta on the ground. The muzzle was directed at the youngest as he thumbed the safety off.
"Drop the gun, kid," He ordered calmly, stressing his command with a soft click of the cocking hammer. His lips pursed in amusement, "Don't think for a second I won't scatter your brains across these walls. It will be purely classed as a self-defense act now thanks to your brother." He said without bluffing, using the gun to motion for the two brothers to stand next to eachother.

When Daniels skull connected with his forehead Brian saw stars for a moment. He cursed loudly especially when Daniel aimed his Barretta at Jack. Within seconds things had changed profoundly now giving Daniel the upper hand. Pressing his flat hand against his throbbing forehead Brian groaned. "Fuck. Drop the gun, Jack. he'll shoot you." Instead of putting his brothers life in jeopardy the agent decided to stand next to him cursing underneath his breath.

Jack kept his gun trained on Daniel. His face was stoic apart from the small barely there tremble at the corner of his mouth, the only thing that gave away he wasn't as certain of himself as he pretended. Had he ever picked a good moment to play the stupid 'gets himself killed' hero now, but his decision was made the moment he had locked the door.. no more backing down.
"No.." He growled, both at Daniel and his brother while keeping a steady aim. Hearing the man's gun cock, he followed the example by pulling the hammer back of the one he was holding. When it came to bluffing, he was good, more than good, well.. at least during a game of poker he was and in a way, how was this any different? Aside from the stakes maybe, it being not money, but lives. Their lives.
"So either sue me or shoot me. Take your pick." He growled, raising an expecting brow. Self defense or not, Daniel would still have one hell of an explaining to do if he did take the shot.

Daniel pursed his lips. He had to hand it to the younger O'Conner for having the balls to stand his ground facing a loaded gun, but one thing was not to be mistaken. Had this not been his office in the FBI building he would have taken the smart mouthed kid up on the latter. Eyes cut to the older brother, cold and ruthless.
"You might want to teach that kid some manners," He said smirking a bit, "Tongue like that could get him and.. others in to trouble." He said, no doubt left for smart ears to pick up on the underlining threat. He dabbed at his upper lip once more. This, the bloody nose and the broken finger. Someone would be paying for it greatly and he knew just the right person for it.
"Now do me a favor and get the fuck out of my office," He ordered, distance kept as he circled around the two men. His gun remained at aim as he unlocked the door and opened it, "We are done here, boys."

Brian was greatly releifed that Daniel obviously didn't plan on shooting Jack right here and now. If only his brother knew when to back off. Having a gun aimed at you always seemed like a good moment. As much as brian wanted to finish the job he had started and suqeeze the information out of Daniel he did not plan on loosing his brother. With a little satisfaction he watched Daniel wipe the blood from his face. Making a mental note to wait for Daniel in a dark alley Brian moved towards the door and in between Daniel and Jack. "Let's go." His eyes were fixed on his brother while he mouthed. "Don't do it." Over his shoulder he added. "Put some ice on that nose, it looks like it hurts. A smirk , which remained hidden for Shaw played on his lips.

Jack payed no mind to his brother's mouthed 'advice'. The first chance he got, he moved passed Brian and had his hand closing around Daniel's throat as he pushed him backwards against the nearest wall with force. He could feel the barrel of the man's Beretta pressing in his stomach, but at this point he simply couldn't give a flying fuck about his own well being anymore. He had nothing to loose if she was.. He didn't dare finish that thought as his hand gripped tighter on the windpipe while he pressed the barrel of his own 9mm against the guys neck right under the jawbone.
"I'll promise you one thing, asshole. I will find her and if you had as much as anything to do with this, I swear to god I'll make you wish you had taken that shot at me here." He growled through gritted teeth. His finger squeezed the trigger but nothing but a soft click followed as he smirked. It was just a warning this time, but next time it would not be. He'd pull the trigger on this motherfucker..
"Safety's still on.." He pointed out sarcastically as he shoved Daniel, letting his grip go and lowered the gun. "Now we're done here."
He turned, heading toward the door and on his way out of the office and down the hall, he pushed the gun flatly against his brother's chest for him to take.

Daniel rubbed a hand over the skin of his throat, lungs welcoming the oxygen back in to them. He had flinched when the younger O'Conner had pulled the trigger, a new one for him and he didn't like being one upped by anyone. Let alone by some foolish kid who thought he had grown some.
"You're both dead," He wheezed after the O'Conner's retreating backs, but made no further attempt to do anything. His handgun was placed on the desk as he sat down in the leather chair, hand reaching for his phone. He dialed the number and didn't need to wait long before the other end picked up.
"They know," He spoke simply before hanging up right away. It was time for him to disappear from the FBI scene now that he was compromised, his neck on the line. Using a picture frame for reflection his face was cleaned to the best of abilities, his nose and finger throbbing as he did so before his suit jacket was grabbed and the gun holstered as he stood to leave the office.
