Faye laughed softly, nodding her head, she couldnt pretend she hadnt seen the nasty glare Leon had shot him as he caught just who was picking her up, but she didnt really think to much of it. "Lee's protective" She stated softly, "More so then other brothers" Licking her lips she blushed once more at his words.
"Ill Keep that in mind" Licking her lips she looked around the restaurant, it was nothing speacial, but it was amazing, no one had ever taken her out like this before, and it was now happening with someone that wasnt Jack.
"Was i to hard onhim" She questioned with a raisedbrow.

Jeremy shrugged, "I wouldn't know too much about that, I was an only child and then an orphan. Family settings are a little weird for me," he smiled at her comment hoping one day she'd take him up on that.
"Too hard on who?" Jeremy asked confused there was at least two, well possibly three guys she could have been referring to.
He took a drink of the beer and felt the niggling regret it wasn't the whiskey he had taken to drinking, Jack Daniel's was a good friend of his, never gotten let down by the bottle, only when that mind releasing bottle was empty. Jeremy looked down at the bottle with the sudden realization of just how much he actually drank, not that it bothered him. Alcohol was a kinder mistress then the almost 2 packs a day cigarettes he had finally given up after 3 years of smoking them.

There were many times she hadnt thought she was lucky having a brother who cared about her, he had made her life hell, scaring away any potential boyfriends, of cause untill she met him, the one who had turned her into th woman she was. Licking her lips she let out a soft breath, smiling at him.
"Jack, was i to hard him, just walking out like that, not bothering to hear him out" She had been thinking about it all day, wondering if she should have let him talk to her before she had just walked out on him.

Jeremy shrugged, "I've done the same thing before, I regretted it but for me it was for the best... She didn't love me the way I did her," he licked his lips unsure as to why the words had slipped from his lips before he was able to stop them.
He didn't want Faye to know about her, he didn't want anyone to know about her, there were those people who did and they at least sympathized with him. They had been the ones keeping him going, stopping him before he did something else he couldn't take back.
Jer looked up at Faye and smiled softly, "Like I said in the car, we all have regrets. We would be lying if we said we didn't have them, we just... we can't let them control of lives even if it seems like the easier thing to do."

There was obvioulsly something there, something that he didnt want her to know, some deep hidden past, that had hurt and broken him, she kknew all about those, but his eyes told her noto to ask, so she didnt. With a soft smile she kept her dark gaze locked on him. He had never been anything but honest with her, she liked that about him.
Softly a sigh fell from her lips, "I wish" Smiling she draw her lower lip between her teeth, "I have so many, all of them control my life, even when i dont want them to" She lifted her glass of wine taking a large swallow of it. "This is such depressing dinner coversation" She laughed softly.

Jeremy laughed softly, "It is, that it is," he leaned back and looked her over, "Alright then... hm..." he pondered for a moment his eyes searching her face, "What's one thing that makes you smile when ever you remember it?"
It was a good change, some topic that would make them smile, make them laugh. Any topic that would lighten the mood around the darkness in their lives that they had experienced. Even through all those bad times there had to be some good ones, didn't there?

Faye furrowed her brow, throughout her entire life there wasnt actually that many things that actually made her smile, "Lee" She shook her head, "He er tried to teach to me drive when i was er about 14" She licked her lips at the memory, eyes sparkling. "He got so frustrated with me, the problem was i knew how to do it, i pick up on things quicklly, but the more annoyed he got the worse i was" She shook her head laughing soflty. "Till this day he wont let me any where near his Skyline"
Softly she draw her lower lip between her teeth, and leant forward, "What does it take you to smile Jer" She questioned, one brow raised quizzically.

"Other then thinking about your beautiful face and glowing personality? Hm... First time I picked up a guitar. It was a stupid bet with my friends, that I couldn't swoon the most popular girl in school with a guitar. I picked up a guitar, started playing and somehow managed to swoon the most popular girl in our school, I swoon all their girlfriends too," Jeremy laughed his grin widening, "They were pissed at me, but it was well worth it. The looks on their faces when I won, that was well worth the harassment about being a panty snatcher."
Jeremy shook his head and took a drink from his beer, quickly realizing that when he sat it down once more it was empty. Seemed like beer just didn't do what it used to do for him, there were always great stories attached to him underage drinking life.
"What's your favorite thing or things to do when you get time to do them?"

The first part of his statment made her smile, the second part made her glow, she could se the sparkle in his eyes, the way he spoke about it, it was obvious he loved it and still did, especially the way he played now. With a breath she smiled, "Well i can see why you love it, you play beautifully"
The question he posed this time she had to wait to answer because the waiter chose that moment to arrive to ask their order, after both of the had ordered, her ordered a simple lasagne, "Thats simple, first thing in a morning, just as the suns rising, on the beach, its so peaceful and quite, and i can just pretend everythigs perfect" Her gaze shifted over to him, "Even more so when you have a handsome man singing to you"

"Thank you," Jeremy got out before the waitress came, he ordered a burger like the carnivore he was.
Jeremy had the decency to flush slightly before smiling at her, "You are such a charmer," he said truthfully almost trying to will himself not to develop any more feelings for the woman before him then he already had, "And I wish I had met you sooner."

Faye momentarly stopped with her drink half way to her lips, letting out a soft breath she lowered her glass to the table, and lifted her dark gaze to the man in frontof her.
"Is it wrong for me to say the same?" She questioned softly, a soft sigh faling from her lips. There was some part of her that really wished she ahd met this man sooner and the other part was more then guilty for thinking so.

Jeremy shook his head, "No it's not. You and I just didn't find one another before it you found someone you clicked with. I'm happy for you, even if I'm not the one for you, as long as your happy I'm fine."
He meant the words sincerely, there wasn't a part of him that thought other wise. As long as this goddess was happy, he could feign happiness for her. Jeremy was greedy thinking he could have her to himself, but he was practical in knowing that he would never have her as long as he lived. There were only going to be a smattering of these kinds of meetings in his life, and possibly a few phone calls when she needed to talk. But other then that, this was her amazing story of love and not his.

Faye draw her lower lip between her teeth, feeling less guilty then she had seconds ago. SHe was so new to this whole world, Tristan had been apart of her life since she was 15, she had known nothing else, and before him it had been her father. Jack was a loose cannon, physcially he would never hurt her, mentally she knew he would, maybe that was why she was with him, and why she knew she woudl go back to him, while Jeremy he was safe.
Smiling she let out a soft breath, "Youll find her ya know, that one that makes you smile no matter what" Faye's eyes twinkeled with a knowing as she looked back at him.

"I'm not counting my chicks," he said playfully, he had given up hope on that a long time ago, "But till then I have three things to count as sure things, the woman sitting across from me, my guitar, and a bottle of JD."
He knew she would understand what he meant, she seemed to have gone through so similar upheaval of her own, regardless of the brave face she put on. In any case it wasn't like he could really go through the stages of finding someone else with his life being so upside down and backwards like it was now. Jeremy would have to find someone just as upside down and backwards as he was for there to be any possibility of the dating thing working out.

Faye smiled over at the man, he really was something, and she was sure, even if he didnt think so, that he would find someone, someone he could love and someone who would love him in return. Licking her lips she shifted to allow the waiter to place the food down in front of her.
"Okay from now on no more depressive conversation" She stated softly, she lifted her fork and looked up at him, "How did you get into imports" She questioned, tilting her head in interest.

Jeremy looked sheepish for a moment, "Um... I had some pretty sticky fingers when I was younger. So through that I got met some people that straightened me and it just kind of fell into my lap. I really haven't ever thought about the why part to be honest, it's just I've been doing it for a while, and I can't see me doing anything else other then playing guitar."
He took a bite of the fries on his plate before looking at her, "So why be a lawyer?"

Once more she listned to him with intesnity, chewing on her food, she always enjoyed listening to him talk, even though she was sure he was leaving some things out, but it didnt bother her. With a smile she tilted her head, once more the question he had asked was easy for her to answer.
"I guess i always wanted to be the one who listened to the victim, and believe them" She shrugged her shoulders, "Iv always wanted to help people ya know"

"Was it like you imagined it would be?" Jeremy asked chomping down another fry.
The girls he knew always planned everything, they checked and double checked that everything would turn out the way they wanted. He had watched as they turned on anyone they thought was in their way. Jeremy was the one listening to them as the talked about how amazing their lives would be, everything they ever wanted coming true, none of them knowing how hard getting there was going to be.
He took a drink from the second beer, before taking a bite out of the burger. Jeremy loved coming here, when he played here, when they couldn't pay him because he wasn't old enough yet they fed him instead, the food was well worth it.

Faye smiled softly, but shook her head, "Not at all, i mean i knew it was gonna be hard, but when your working all hours, trying to actually keep a roof over your head and actually make it to law school" Taking a larger sip of wine to stop the rest of the sentence, of how she had to deal wiht Tristan while doing it.
"But the rest once your there its amazing, its hard and it gets to me, but its amazing"

Jeremy swallowed and smiled at her, "Well I'm glad you became one. If there were more lawyers like you, no one would hate lawyers anymore," he said whispering the last part as if it was a conspiracy.
He envied her for a short moment, she had achieved everything she had dreamed of, "I would say you are lucky, but I think the amount of work you went through to get here, means you deserved it. So what's left on your dreams for the future list?"
Jeremy relaxed back slightly so he could look her over, this lawyer in front of him, a beautiful woman he could never have, but was for once was content in just knowing.
