Jack looked down at the cop's hand pressing against his chest before his eyes moved back on to the man. His expression seemed to give nothing away, not that he was intimidated nor that he was scared shitless for his freedom, but he was sure the man would be able to feel his heart hammering underneath his palm by now. If he was to go by this cop's words, he was screwed no matter what would come out of his mouth..
"You gonna try and kiss me now, officer? Hate to burst your bubble here, but I don't swing that way.." He growled as he finally pushed the hand away from his chest.
"I already told you he tried to kill us. It was self defense, can't you get that through your thick skull? Did you not see the finger prints on my girl's throat? Do you not see the fucking gash on my head?" His hand didn't reach nearly as high enough as he wanted when he pointed angrily toward the bandage. Damned cuffs..

The officer clearly didn't appreciate the attitude Jack was giving him. He'd seen it all too often and usually not from innocent men. "You know what they do with pretty little boys like you in prison?" He glared but soon was interrupted by his partner. "So you're saying killing the man was self defense. That leaves open the question: Why did you and your 'girl' come to the hospital with bullett wounds in the first place?" The question stood in the room like the Eifel Tower.
For the doctor it was time to intervene. "Okay, enough. You do realize that you don't have to answer any questions without a lawyer." he turned to the cops. "And even if he does you won't be able to use it because my patient suffered serious head trauma with loss of memory. Sound familiar? You should know this, officers."
He stepped up to them and smiled slightly. "I'd like to get back to work now and would you be so kind to uncuff him because if he needs to be operated we can't get him off this bed." He left no room for argument.

Jack's expression darkened at the unappreciated mental images the cop evoked. He was more than ready to tell both of them to shove it where the sun don't shine when the doctor stepped in. His eyes shot toward the man. Operate? Oh, he didn't like the sound of that, he could only hope the guy was simply using it as an excuse to get these cuffs off of him. Now that he did like the sound of.
He did his best to keep the smug smile of his face when he was uncuffed, giving the doctor a thanking nod as he rubbed his wrists. As soon as the cops were gone, he'd be getting out of this damned bed whether he was allowed to or not. He wanted to find Faye, see if she was ok. It hadn't been his intention to pass out and leave her by herself.
"Guess this means we'll be rescheduling, huh officers? Can't say I'm looking forward to that.." He mumbled while his hand finally reached for his dully aching head.

"No you won't be rescheduling...at least not with them." A woman's voice interrupted. The lady in a tight black skirt and white blouse interrupted them. She held up her badge knowing well how much cops liked it when the FBI stepped in. "This is part of an FBI investigation. It's not your problem any more." The two gave each other looks but decided that Jack was too much of a pain anyway to fight for this case.
When they were gone Trinh stepped closer to Jack and held out her hand. "Jack...remember me? Sophie Trinh. Brian's old partner."
She stepped aside for the doctor to check Jacks pupil dialtion again. Businesslike he stated. "I don't like it. One of your pupils is bigger than the other. We gotta keep an eye on that."

"Yeah, I remember you." Jack smirked, taking the offered hand. Never had he been so glad to see someone of the FBI. Maybe Trinh could get him out of the shit he was in. Hopefully.. He had dug graves for himself before, but never this deep.
After letting the doctor do his thing, he frowned at the man's words. He didn't like it? Now that was not something he wanted to hear. He didn't want to be staying here any longer than he already had. He fucking hated hospitals..
"What does that mean?" He mumbled before he sat up with every intention to get off the bed, once again ignoring all the discomforts it caused. "No. Fuck it, nevermind. I feel fine, everything's fine, alright, doc?"

The doctor sighed. "So you're one of those guys...are you going to give us all a run for our money?" He cocked his head to the side. "We,, thank goodness my shift is almost over but I'll qucikly explain it to you: We've taken a CT of your head. On one side there's some swelling but no bleeding, which would be something you don't want cause you probably still wnat to use all parts of your brain. It can still happen for the next 48 hours and pupils of different sizes are usually an indiactor." He wrapped it up with a slap on the shoulder. "So stay put and tell us if you're about to pass out of dizzy or in sudden pain."
Without further explanations he left. Hopefully the guy would listen-if not it wasn't his problem.
Trinh had listened carefully and looked at Jack with sympathy. "Ow, big bump up there. That must hurt. You know what. I can come back later. Maybe I should just go and find Brian. It's his case anyway. Do you know where he is? And do you think anybody else is going to come and attack you?Oh...and Faye says hello, she's good."Her last words came out without any eye contact.

Faye sighed as she once more told Trinh what had happened, well as much as she could, she couldnt very well say anythign about Walter, cus technically he was well, dead, and she didnt really know his, nor the goverments envolvment, plush she had been locked in a 'safe' house for god knows how long, she had been out of the loop, seriously.
With a sigh she watched the woman leave the room, hopefully to find out if Jack was okay, the knock to the head, and him hitting the floor played through her mind, she didnt like the idea of loosing him, nor did she like the idea of doing this alone, already she could feel a panic attack setting in and tried to force herself to breath.

"Sure doc, you guys will be the first ones to know.." He gave the doctor two thumbs up along with his best feigned smile. He had blocked it all out. He didn't want to hear about anything close to brain damage or whatever a bleeding would result in. He was fine..
As soon as the man rounded the corner, he dropped his legs over the edge of the bed and closed his eyes while his brow furrowed, his hand raising up at Trinh. Holy shit, did the woman suffer from word diarrhea? If he hadn't had a headache already, he was sure the female agent would be able to give him one within moments.
"Could you please stop talking for a second.." He half groaned, half mumbled before his eyes snapped open when Faye's name rolled of the woman's lips. She didn't sound too convincing, hell, she wasn't even looking at him. Great..
"Where is she..?" He muttered as he stood up, lifting a hand towards his protesting head. Oh, what the hell was he doing.. Without waiting for a proper answer, he pushed passed Trinh and headed toward the hallway. He'd find her with or without the help of the agent.

The agents eyes went wide when Jack didn't even wait for the doctor to leave the floor before he disobeyed his order. "Jack, wait. WHat are you doing? Faye's fine!" Her protest was ignored. So she followed him down the hallway. "Would you stop, please. Goodness, you must be related to Brian. Does that stubborness run in your family?" She caught up with him easily and reached for his arm. "What you're doing is stupid. Faye won#t have any use for you when you're a dummy!" She half-joked. "C'mon, let's go back....I could arrest you, too...." She raised her hands at his furious look. "Don't worry, I won't , I'm on your side but you are walking a very thin line here."

"You want to talk about walking thin lines and arresting me? Than do it. If not.. Either tell me where her room is, or leave me the fuck alone." He growled, pulling his arm away from her. His brow furrowed when he felt something warm trickle from his nose. He lifted his hand up to find his finger tips coming back with blood. Oh, shit.. His eyes shifted toward Trinh once more while he used the back of his hand to wipe the rest of the blood away.
"Like I said, leave me the fuck alone." He muttered. He resisted the urge for wanting to lean his hand against the wall when he turned back around. He was most likely ready to drop again. He didn't feel good, far from good to be exact, but Trinh was right about one thing. Stubbornness ran in the family and he always seemed to have been blessed with an extra dose of it. If he had his mind set on something, he'd do it..
Two steps in, he had to falter against his will. His hand dropped against the wall to keep himself standing while the other reached for his head once more. He knew he should've listened to the doctor and the agent. He knew he should just stop, but he couldn't stay in that hospital bed.. Only giving himself a few seconds rest, he slowly continued moving again while his hand kept steadying him against the wall. He was fine.. ish..

The moment she had taken to try and call Brian was obviously too long for now Jack was halfway down the hallway. Slightly annyoed the agent followed him when her eyes fell on the red fingerprints on the wall. She circled Jack with quick steps and saw droplets of blood dripping from his nose. Instantly she felt scared and worried for the young guy that was stubborn as hell but still somehow likeable. She pointed at his nose but had to catch him the next moment because he couldn't stand on his own two feet any more. "Help! Quick. I need help!" She yelled down the hallway.
Nobody reacted or came to help.

Jack had to lean against the wall more and more while he shuffled his way down the hall. The pain was becoming harder to ignore, his nose bleeding more frantically than it had before. This wasn't good, really not good. Maybe he should just go back, get a doctor like he was told if this sorta thing happened..
His brow furrowed when Trinh appeared in front of him. Why couldn't she just leave him alone like he had told her to? She pointed at something before his legs finally gave out a second time. Now he was glad she actually was there when she caught him to the best of her abilities.
"Don't.. feel good.." He groaned out, not sure if his words were even all that audible.

Just when he left one of the rooms dressed in his normal jeans and shirt the doctor stumbled across Jack sprawled out on the floor and Trinh crying for help. For a brief moment he wondered why it always had to be him on his time off but then he sprinted to the guy on the floor, saw the blood running out of his nose and pushed the alarm button for the nurses. It only took a moment until the hallway was busy with staff who had jack on a bed within two minutes and down the hall.
The door flew open and Trinh ran into Fayes room visibly agited. "What's Jack's blood type? Do you know?"
The bright lights above Jack indicated where he was while two faces framed by green bandanas and masks appeared in front of his face. One was talking to the other. "Hurry up...let's find out where this mess is coming from."

Jack groaned when he was lifted on to a bed. Hadn't he been trying to get out of one and hadn't he, sort of, succeeded? He barely noticed the ceiling lights passing by above him when he was wheeled down the hall. His head was hurting, begging him to just pass out and get it done with, yet next thing he knew he was squinting against a much brighter light. Did he die yet? No.. people were talking around him..
His drowsy eyes slowly moved between the two men, at least he thought, hoped they were men. They looked weird, green.. What the hell were they doing? Where the hell was he?
"What's going on.." He mumbled while he tried to sit up, but soon found he couldn't. Oh Jesus.. Time to panic?

Two hours later the steady beeping of a monitor gave away that Jack O'Conner was still alive and kicking. A nurse was checking his vitals and then checking off a list. When she noticed some movement she asked. "Are you awake?" Underneath the big white bandage she could spot a quite handsome fellow. Bruises were starting to form underneath his eyes. Hopefully the guy would be okay. She hated it when people died on her shift.

Faye turned from panic attack mode to worried in a matter of seconds, which was good, she could focus on something other then the panic she felt eating away at her, well sort of. The second Trinh stepped into the room more panic shot thruogh her, this time for Jack.
She mummbeled of his blood type, her dark eyes wide as seh looked at the woman, already she was tryign to disconnect the wires that were around her, and despite the bandage wrapped around her thigh she tried to move from the bed.
"Is he okay" SHe questioned, her voice showing her obvious worry, she knw the fall he had taken was bad.

"No, he's not!" What's his blood type!" Trinhn exclaimed. "What the hell is it qirth you people? Stay in bed or you'll be the next one." She rubbed her face. G´Faye dodn't dserve being yelled at, she needed a friend. "I have no idea but his nose is bleeding...no idea what that means but it's not good." (apologies for typosdue to drunkeness)

"Yeah.. And wishing I wasn't.." He mumbled. He hadn't even bothered to open his eyes yet, knowing he would just be wanting to close them again when he slowly forced his hand up to his still, if not worse, aching head, finding it easier to do than last time when his wrist was cuffed to the bed. At least that was somewhat positive..
He felt blindly for the Iv needle stuck in the back of his hand with his other, but left it stuck where it was this time. He had been bothersome enough today, bringing him nothing but more needles and more pain. Both things he was not a fan of, but what was worse.. he'd probably bought himself a ticket for a longer stay at this damned place with his stubborn and stupid behavior.
"How long am I supposed to stay here..."

The nurse turned her head and smiled. "So you're not dead, great!" She came over and touched his arm. "Open your eyes, please." In her hand was a small light. "Follow this with your eyes...you should be glad you're still breathing, not asking how long you'll stay here. That was a very close call." She then nodded and tested whether the guy could feel anything in his fingers and feet. Satisfied with the result she turned to the door. "You have a visitor." The woman had been sitting in a wheelchair outside his door for almost an hour even though she looked pretty beaten up herself. With a smile the nurse pushed her inside and told them. "You have 5 minutes."

The second Trinh had filled her in on what had hapened she had been beyound worried, she ahd heard, many times what head injuries could do to a person, and considering he was having surgery, it didnt look good.
With bated breath she had demanded she be taken to his recovery room, if something happened to Jack and she was alone, she couldnt be alone, she couldnt. Finally the door opened and she was wheeled into the room, her gaze wide, and worried as she looked at Jack.
"You just gotta do one better" She whispered, shifting as best as she could with pain shooting through her body. With a breath she reached for the only thing she could comformtably reach, his hand.
