Brian took the borrow cigarette out from between his lips. Who was Jack to be judging him like that? Right, his all time fuck up brother. "That sounds really funny coming out of your mouth...it's not like you ever change, plusI'm not going in circles! I'm working my ass off here trying to get this little shithole going and all you guys can ever do is run away or nag!" Now it was Brian's turn to raise his voice. Jack was really annoying him...mostly because he was shrugging him off like some pain in the ass and because Mia had chosen him to get drunk with.

"Hey, than at least someone here is laughing! Cause I'm sure as hell not!" He shouted as he walked toward the Evo. The fucking paint hadn't hardened out enough yet and his temper was flaring up higher the longer Brian continued to run his mouth. He hadn't changed? He ran away and nagged? Fuck that. He had stayed this time, acting like it was all fine and dandy between him and Faye when he knew better, and had he nagged about anything? No!
"You know what, fuck you, drop dead, burn this place down and collect insurance money, I don't care. But don't blame your shit on me. I'm not the one who kidnapped your wife and I'm not the one who shot up your knee (and yes, I'm loling at that because it was me!)." He growled, leaving Faye's kidnapping and his own near death experience out deliberately as the muscles in his jaws tensed up, his hands balling up in to fists. He was itching to hit something, anything that wasn't the Evo, and that was exactly why he didn't turn around to face his brother. The situation was rapidly turning in to a deja vu, the garage, him wanting to beat the snot out of Brian.. The only difference now was, he wasn't wasted, and Faye hadn't left him this time.. yet.

Of course Brian could see the tension in Jacks back and hear the tone of his voice. It would be easy to push the well known buttons and push him over the edge...only that Brian didn't have good experiences with that lately. His brother had become stronger and it wasn't so easy to kick his ass any more. He tossed the half-smoked cigarette, lowered his voice and stated. "I'm not blaming you for any of that...the only one who can blame you is Faye but just stop calling me stuff and throwing out accusations...it's not like you're fault free." Brian stepped a little closer and crossed his arms in front of his chest. Maybe he should do a little button pushing. "Drop dead, burn the place down Jack-style? That's so mature, Jackiepoo."

Now his back stiffened even more as he took in a sharp breath to control himself and his building anger. She did blame him. Every time he looked at her it was there, plain in her eyes. Brian really shouldn't have gone there if he'd known what was good for him.
"Well, what can I say, bro.. You should know by now I'm the epitome of maturity here." He shot back as he turned around to face his.. brother. He knew by now he was a fuck up with great 'solutions', really, he had no illusions about that, but to have to hear it over and over again..
"Got any more to say? Anything else you want to get off your chest, Brian?" He growled as he stepped closer, real fucking close. From the wry smile on his face to the tone of his voice, it all suggested for one more invitation. He wanted that one last small push so he could reason with himself afterward that Brian had asked for it, and not that he'd lost most of his control over himself a long time ago.

There it was again. That look in Jacks eyes, the one he usually had just before he swang at him. "No actually not." He closed the last bit of distance standing nose to nose with his younger but equally tall brother. "Is it time again? Do you need a reason?" He shook his head and rolled his eyes.
"Just chill, everything's cool, peace, man." He sneared and turned his head away. Jack's words were echoing in his head while he tried to play it cool and not get into another one of the famous O'Conner fist fights. All he wanted were some supportive words, some brotherly bond and instead he got insults, fuck it. Not even a second later he turned his head back and pushed Jack backwards. "I was kidding. Back off and stop insulting me."

"Really? No? Now there's a disappointment. I expected the usual arm long list of my fuck ups from you, bro." He spat, the muscles in his arms and hands tensing as his brother closed the last distance between them. The longer he had to stare at Brian up close, the more he just wanted to.. punch his teeth down his throat.
"You're telling me to chill? Everything is cool..? Ok.." He snorted, all the while still trying to keep his cool. He knew he shouldn't have turned around, he shouldn't have been provoking his brother in to provoking him to take a swing.. But then Brian shoved him and it was all too late, his last little restrain just.. broke. His hand balled in to a fist completely before he planted it in Brian's face just as fast. He didn't even bother to take note whether or not he could hear or feel bone break.

Jacks swing at him was hard but not very well directed and only hit his cheekbone sliding off to the side. For some reason it was just what Brian needed right now and made him laugh out loud and mockingly as he raised his fists like a boxer and started circling Jack. "Haha, here we go. Let it all out, baby brother." Bam- his left fist shot forward and his right one followed, one aiming for Jacks mouth, the next for the middle of his chest.
Maybe it had just been three too quiet months for Brian. This was releiving.

The first one he hadn't seen coming, not yet anyway, and split his lip.. but the second one was evaded easily. He knew his brother longer than today, and he knew even better how he fought. He trailed his tongue over his busted lip before he used the back of his hand to wipe at the small trail of blood on his chin.
"You're getting old, bro.. One well aimed blow to your knee and this'll just be over, you know that right?" He growled as he spit the remaining blood on the floor in front of Brian. Was he that cold? He didn't know anymore, fuck, he didn't know anything anymore nowadays.
"But if you want to be carried out of here, instead of walk, or well.. limp.." He smirked, raising his hands in the air as if he was inviting Brian for a free shot.

"Just keep shooting off your mouth if that's all you got." Brian replied with a sarcastic smirk. "What if I hit your forehead? Are you going to loose the last bit of your brain or start crying?" Instead of hitting Jack he just kept pushing him in the shoulder. "You won't kick my knee and I won't hit your head, I think we both know that." Deep down Brian was sure even though Jack had him wondering for a moment. After all he had knocked him unconscious with a wrench before. But he was his brother and this fight was just something they did every once in a while for Brian

His expression turned from shit to worse as he let himself be pushed twice, even three times until it was just.. Done! Whatever would happen next would just be out of his control.. Or so he told himself.
His hand closed around Brian's wrist just before the fourth push could touch his shoulder, his free hand forming a fist as he pulled his brother right in to the hard punch, moving one leg behind Brian's while he used the momentum of his blow to drop the bastard to the ground.
"You won't hit my head, but I will hit yours!" He growled as he loomed over a downed Brian, his expression barely changing even when the images of him hitting his brother with a wrench flashed behind his eyes. He was never one to be pushed, figuratively nor literally, he always tended to go one, or two steps for that matter, too far.. Not that he had gone to far in his book now, not yet anyway.

The move with the pull was new and caught Brian by surprise. Jack's fists hit the target, Brians nose, this time and a second later he hit the ground with a thud. Brian wiped at his nose because his eyes were watering up but there was no blood. Good. The expression on Jacks face told him he wished there was some though, lots of it. Obviously this figfht meant something different for Jack than him. Brian used it as a vent for built up frustration whereas Jack seemed to have real beef with him. Before Jack could hit his head again, as he had promised, Brian rolled away and wrapped his leg around Jacks to throw him off balance, a move he had learned from Walter. Unfortunately the screws in his knee weren't meant for such actions and protested so he groaned loudly, stopped and used both hands to bring Jack down next to him knocking over a row of spray paint cans. His elbow found its way into his brothers ribs from the side while he tried to get back on his feet.

Jack found himself sprawled out on the floor next to Brian not long after, coughing a little after the elbow hit his ribs. It was a cheap shot if he had to say so. But than again, Brian always went for cheap shots, whether it was verbally or physically.
He made no attempt to get up or do anything else as one hand moved to rest against the slightly sore spot on his ribs, the other touching his busted lip before he brought it up in front of his eyes. It was no longer bleeding, and despite the fact he'd probably have a bruise on his side by tomorrow, he started laughing before it slowly died down in to a chuckle. Oh crap.. he had let it come this far again. Another pointless fight with Brian where he could feel his control slipping away, and he wasn't even wasted.
"I think I could use a drink.." He mumbled, dropping his head back against the floor while he furrowed his brow and closed his eyes for a moment. Eh, Fuck it all..

To his surprise Jack eased up on him and lay sprawled out on the floor next to Brian instead of throwing punches at him. A little surprise Brian rubbed his nose and looked over at Jack. "Always on the nose, you Jackass." He smirked. "A drink, huh? You know what time it is?" Brian wiggled his leg and noticed that everything was fine. "Man o man, Jack, just chill and eas up on the world. Maybe you should realize who your real friends are...even if they are family."

"Always on the nose.." He repeated, smirking as if it was the funniest thing in the world. Wasn't his fault Brian never seemed to learn that, and it wasn't his fault his brother made himself in to an easy target whenever he needed to blow off some steam. His smirk disappeared as he rubbed both hands over his face before he pushed himself up in to a sitting position. Maybe he should actually change his name to 'Jackass'.
"Do I look like I care what time it is?" He mumbled as he looked sideways at Brian, before looking at the clock on the wall behind his brother. 4 O'clock was no worse time than any other time of the day in his book, and since when was Brian such a pissant anyway. He forced himself back up on his feet, snorting at Brian's next words. Apparently it was since today his brother had decided to become a pissant, one who felt the need to go mushy on him. Ease up and chill, ha! He was as chilled and eased up as they came..
"Yeah, yeah, that's all fine and dandy, bro.. Next time I'll remember to bring my guitar and we'll sing kumbaya together.." Or I'll smash you on the head with it, whatever comes first, he thought as he made his way to the old fridge, opening it and finding nothing but a few cokes.. Great. "You know, you really oughta keep this place better stocked. I remember when I used to work here, there were at least one or two beers in here."

The kumbayah joke made Brian laugh. At least Jack seemed to have preserved his wicked sense of humour and wasn't as much of an asshole as Brian first thought. Thank goodness his brother had eased up a bit and the tension between them was getting less. "Yeah, sorry, I drank the last one the other day and haven't had time to buy more. But theres a store a block up." Maybe Faye's concern about Jacks drinking was justified but who was Brian to comment on that. He liked booze as well. He stood up and brushed the dust off his pants. "The paint should be dry by now."

Jack drummed his fingers on the open fridge door, contemplating before he grabbed one of the cokes and finally closed the door. Turning around, he opened the can and took a drink before he made a face. Holy shit, that stuff tasted stale as hell. He drooled the coke back in to the can, setting the thing on top of the fridge.
"Just a block up, huh?" He mumbled as he patted his pockets, coming up with his usual luck. No wallet! He smirked at his brother. Oh yes, he was making a habit out of this again, wasn't he? First knock Brian down, or leave him standing by the side of the road.. whichever was most convenient in the situation, and then ask him for money. Ah well, what were younger brothers for.
"Uh.. You wouldn't happen to have a tenner or two on you, would ya, bro?" He raised his eyebrows as he smirked wider. There was no shame in his voice. Hell, he knew no shame when it came to a lot of things, if any at all.

"You're freaking shameless, little one." He shook his head with a slight smirk. "That's why we like you so much." He clapped Jack on the shoulder and held up a bill with his index and middle finger. "Like this? I'd say shove it where the sun don't shine but I'm afraid you'll take that too serious so I'll walk you to the store, okay?" Brian wanted to get out in the sun. He had spent way too much time in, under, around cars lately. A little walk didn't hurt, hopefully, but one never knew with Jack.

"Who's this 'we' you're talking about?" He snorted as he snatched the bill from Brian's hand. He might be crazy in some departments, well.. a lot of departments, but shoving money up his ass wasn't something he did, not his own ass anyway..
"Oh boy! You're gonna walk me to the store? You gonna buy me an ice cream, too?.. Shit, bro. Warn me next time you decide to turn in mom, huh?" He laughed, looking his brother over before he shrugged. Trading a few blows had been somewhat of a relief of tension, and really, what did he care.. He could use some company, even if it was Brian's. He had plenty of time to sit by himself, maybe talk to a wall if he became too lonely, when he was at home. It was just.. fantastic how Faye locked herself away from him. Sometimes he really missed the boredom that was Barstow..
"You're not gonna.. 'cramp up' on me though, are ya?" He joked, and yes, he finally could joke about what had happened to his Evo.. It had taken him a couple of weeks, but that didn't matter. He shot Brian another grin before he made his way toward the open doors and outside in to the hot sun.

"Only if your a good boy, Jackie." He replied in a mock high voice.
Brian followed him outside and locked the doors behind him. "What's with all the smart talking, bro?" He shook his head. jack was know for talking a lot of trash and taking the piss out of everybody but today was a little much to bare. "You're bored or something?" It was nice to be out in the sun for a change. Brian tilted his chin upwards to let the full blast of the sun hit his face. He touched the sore top part of his nose and frowned. "Why do we always bash each others face in? It feels good at the time but afterwards..."

"I guess it's just cheaper than getting plastic surgery.." He shrugged before drawing his tongue over his busted lip. He didn't exactly enjoy being popped in the mouth, but than he guessed Brian didn't like getting popped in the nose either. Bastard had it coming though.. It had been a bad timing to start listing some of his flaws, and an even worse one to tell him to chill, ease up.
"Bored? Nah, man.. Life's filled with rainbows and butterflies lately, why would I be bored?" He snorted. Out of a job, out of a relationship, well.. as good as, and nothing better to do than to pick a random fight with Brian.. Yeah, he was fucking bored.
He pushed the door to the store open, glad for the A/C in the small place after the heat outside and even at the garage. He made his way toward the beer section, picking up a six-pack of Corona before he moved on to the harder stuff. There he grabbed a bottle of Stoli Blue, before grabbing another one in case he got really uh.. thirsty, and within a matter of moments it was all set on the counter. He slapped the bill on the wood next to the bottles, telling the man to keep the change as it wasn't his money anyway, before he handed the six-pack to his brother as a peace offering, still well aware he hadn't paid with his own money.
"Next time keep your fridge better stocked, huh?" He smiled, slapping Brian on the shoulder before he grabbed the alcohol that was meant for himself. He nodded toward the shopkeep as he left the store, ready to go back to the Evo and maybe.. home, even though it wasn't a place he liked to go anymore.
