Faye clenched her jaw and in that one moment, that one sentence she knew exactly what he meant, exactly what he wanted. Hell she had known it back then, she had known all those months ago, she had felt it, deep aching in the middle of her chest, just as surely as he did, yet just like he had, she had fought it.
Dropping her gaze she looked down at her entwinned fingers, it was such a simple motion, yet it was so effortless between them, they had been the same, from that moment she had met him, together they had just been effortless, perfect almost. He got her, and in some ways she got him, because she understood the pain.
"There's the problem right" She muttered, turning her gaze to look at him, "We both fight something so effortless" Licking her lips she felt her heart beat increase, she had no idea what the hell was going on, but could she let him walk out her life again?

"Why are we fighting it then? I know I don't want to push you into something you can't or aren't ready to handle because if your anything like me, it's going to make you run or ice over. I know that you've been through a lot and you're wary about these things same as I am, but I..." Jeremy sighed for a moment, "This is going to sound stupid," he inserted dryly before he relaxed again, "I feel like this... you are supposed to be the one to piece everything that's left back together, and that I'm supposed to do the same to you."
The words he tried to put to that feeling weren't the right words. He couldn't make the right words come out, Jeremy knew that she fit, Faye fit into the terrible ache that was left. She was the only one that had made him okay about what had happened. The memory sitting on the hood of his car holding her, that was the one that made him get up in the afternoon and keep on moving, in the hopes he could find either Faye or someone else that would do the same to him.
He glanced at her softly swallowing the lump in his throat, "I'm sorry I let you walk away three months ago. I'm sorry it took me three months to finally get the courage to call you, even if it was for something stupid. And I'm sorry that..." he trailed off blinking as he realized that he had finally stopped driving.
Jeremy had gone on auto pilot, not even realizing where he was driving to, but there they were, at the beach once more. He shook his head, "I got to find somewhere else to hang out."

Faye heaved in a breath, why were they fighting it. They both felt it, that deep burning ache that erupted every time they were near each other, it rushed through both of them, a connection like that, it couldn’t be faked, couldn’t be lied, but it had been denied, for so long they had denied the feeling was there. They ignored it, pushed it aside, yet it never went, never fully went to sleep. She clenched her jaw, half listening to him, and half trying to answer the question, why were they fighting something that could be so great. Was she afraid, still, of fully, finally, 100% allowing someone to touch not just her body but her mind, to allow them to understand and see parts she had never before. Or was she afraid that what they had, what they felt would just be simply a whirlwind romance that would end when they gave into it, both of them realizing that something great, wasn’t actually that great.
Blinking she smiled her gaze wondering over towards him, a soft breath leaving her lips as she looked at him, there was this serenity over his face, this slight confusion and annoyance. She understood, all to well what he was trying to say to her, but couldn’t quite get the words out Nodding her head she squeezed his hand, “I understand” She whispered softly.
The car rolled to a stop, but instead of breaking the mood that had been set between the both of them it did nothing but solidify it. Her dark gaze twisted from his face to the location, and her heart soared, chuckling dryly she lowered her head. “I come of as this tough person, but Im not, im just this little insecure petrified girl” Slowly her gaze lifted and turned towards him, “I just wanna be loved, but im so petrified of it”

Jeremy looked at her, really looked at her she wasn't a girl like she said, she was a terrified young woman how had been through so much that it aged her internally. Faye wouldn't be a kid again, once you saw or experienced or hell even lived enough bad shit, there wasn't anything in the world that could make you internally young again.
"Your not a girl," he found himself saying as he lifted their hands off the gear shift as he turned and looked at her full on, "When I look at you I see a beautiful goddess, untouchable and still caring, but when I really look at you, I see a young woman who's seen and been through so much shit she doesn't know how to deal with any more crap. I see someone who is trying to get back up and shake off everything that's happened to her," the words were leaving Jeremy's lips before he had even thought about them, "I know you don't need my help to shake everything off, but I want to help you. I want to see you be happy, really truly happy even if in the end it's not with me."
Jeremy looked at her, he wanted to hug her, really wanted to kiss her. Jeremy wanted to show her everything he wanted to do for her, he wanted to show her that he cared about her.

She had been trying to hold them in, but his words made her eyes sparkle even more then they had been initially, and one lone tear fell down her cheek, leaving a warm streak down her cheek. Clenching her jaw she struggled against the wave of emotion that threatened to overwhelm her. Heaving in a deep breath she smiled over at him, drawing her lower lip between her teeth she smiled over at him, “You look at me and see everything” licking her lips she smiled, her dark eyes wide, and wet.
Faye had no idea how they had come to this, they were meant to be here, talking about him, helping him with the situation he had found himself in, and now they had gotten onto her, to them. Her hand lifted, fingers smoothing over his cheek. “Im still looking for it” She whispered, lashes fluttering, “Im still searching for my dreams” Shaking her head she leant over towards him, needing to be closer to him, to feel his warmth and strength. “Everything happens for a reason though right” She questioned softly, “Maybe the reason was so we could find each other”

Jeremy sobered slightly more as his free hand lifted and wiped the lone tear streak off her cheek, he hadn't wanted her to cry, but crying was supposed to help. He never cried, he had never seen the purpose in it, not ever.
He released her hand and reached over the center of the car over the gearshift as his foot popped his seat further back as he grabbed Faye around the middle and pulled her easily directly into his lap. Jeremy held her like he had done when they were sitting on the hood of his car the last time they saw one another.
"I told you I would never let you go and I almost broke my promise," he said softly his lips brushing over her cheek where the tear streak was, "I want us... I want us to work. I want to help you find your dreams Faye, but you have to let me help. Every time I see you something has gone wrong and I want to wipe it away and put that smile back on your face. I don't want to keep patching your pains, I want to help you take them away."
Jeremy did, every word as it slipped unfiltered from his lips was true, he wanted to help her so bad it almost hurt. In a way he didn't want her to end up like he had, he lived a life he would never wish upon anyone, his life sucked. Jeremy knew he'd have to fix himself too if he wanted to keep seeing her, he'd have to or when she was happy she would realize how beneath her he really was. He felt like he shouldn't have known the woman that he was comforting in the front seat of his car on the beach when he was supposed to be on the phone with work probably, but it didn't matter. All that mattered was this right now, the feeling of contentment that he was getting from her, the feeling of being useful for something.
Jeremy swallowed thickly emotions were running high in the car and the need to kiss her and wash away her pain was getting almost too tempting. He knew he wouldn't kiss her until she was ready because he cared about if she was ready for him, he wanted her to be ready.

His finger smoothed over her cheek and subconsciously she rested into it, her cheek pressing against the callused palm, her head tilted enough for her lips to press against the palm of his hand. Licking her lips the second he moved far enough she shifted, allowing him easier access for him to pull her from her seat and into his seat, into his lap. A soft sigh fell from her lips as she gently buried her cheek into his neck, her breath hot against his skin, fingers lifting to burry themselves into the shirt he was wearing.
Gently she lifted her head, her dark water filled gaze locking onto his handsome face, and just like that, there he was, in front of her once again, holding her and fixing all the pains she had in her life, yet still the question was there, why were they truly so drawn to each other, were they simply just trying to make the other whole again so that they didn’t have to deal with the trouble of facing their own lives and dealing with them, so they didn’t have to fix themselves.
With a sigh she draw her lower lip between her teeth, her brow furrowed ever so slightly, she almost shook her head, no that wasn’t it, she was dealing with her life, she really was, thanks to Walter she was finally facing her life, she was turning that anger and that pain into something else, something useful, so she knew on her part, the hammering in her chest, the quickening of her pulse and the slight flush of her cheeks was really because of the man in front of her, and not because of what she wanted to do.
Licking her lips her hands grasped his face between her hands, softly brushing a thumb of his lip. A soft breath fell from her lips as she smiled at him, “I don’t want you to fix me” She whispered softly, shaking her head, a soft smile tugged over her lips, she wanted to reach down and kiss him but was afraid of pushing, rushing into something they both were not ready for, even though the urge was great now, just like it always had been. “I want to see that smile again Jer, the one on the beach, I want to be the one who puts it there”

Jeremy looked up at her as she held his face, he could feel her breath there on his lips though neither one of them were moving in for a kiss. His heart was in his ears as he breathed slowly trying to catch hold of himself.
"Then I won't, it doesn't mean that I don't want to or I don't care. I just know better then to do something you don't want me to do," Jeremy pushed and caught her eye, "Then will you let me be the one to make you happy? I want you to be the one that can bring that smile out of me," he swallowed the thick emotion as it welled up in his throat.
Jeremy could see that this thing that was happening wasn't just to him, it was to the both of them. This feeling, what ever it was, made his feel human again, he didn't want to see her with someone else if he could help it.

Licking her lips she smiled at him, fingers brushing over his cheek softly, “I learned long ago no one can fix me but me” She whispered softly, licking her lips she smiled at him, a soft breath falling from her lips. She knew that three months ago she should have ended it with Jack, should have risked what could have been with Jer, but knew that she couldn’t, it wasn’t the right time. They both needed that time apart, the time where they could finally say yes, this was it, this was where they were meant to be.
Drawing her lower lip between her teeth she nodded her head ever so slightly, “But you gotta let me in” She whispered softly, her hands lowered to rest against his chest, one hand resting just above his heart, loving the soft thump, thump of his heart beneath her fingers. Her body leaned in to him ever so slightly, “I wont push Jer, but you gotta” Tilting her head she watched him for a moment longer….where they really going to do this.

Jeremy almost let out a soft needy whimper, "You have no idea how far in you already are," he said softly before letting go of his restraint finally.
His head pushed up lips pressing softly against hers, as his hands squeezed her back lightly, he opened up more letting her feel that still uncertain part of him. Jeremy never liked getting rejected but, he was willing to suffer for this woman. He was a sucker for the pain only a woman could give, he needed to feel it if there wasn't anything other then the lingering aches and the blissful drunken states he kept himself in normally.
He pulled back slightly, "I'm sorry... I didn't even ask if I could... I'm sorry Faye..." he apologized for kissing her without warning, that quick kiss had set his entire body ablaze, and nothing made sense any more, just her.

Faye licked her lips, hearing that it meant more to him then she would ever know, and he would probably ever know how much it meant to her to hear that coming from his lips. Her heart was hammering beneath her chest, the blood rushing through her ears as she looked at him, dark eyes sparkling, a soft smile tugging the corners of her lips at the words he had spoken to her.
She knew what was coming only moments before it came, it was soft, delicate, his lips softer then she had thought, and nothing like she had imagined. Her lashes drifted closed, and her hands smoothed up over his shoulders and through his hair, but it was over way before it should have. Furrowing her brow at his words she licked her lips one brow raising as a soft laugh fell from her lips.
This time it was her, who reached forward, breaking the distance between them, her lips pressed against his, her fingers playing with the hair at the nape of his head, “Never apologise for kissing me” She whispered softly, her dark eyes sparkling as she lent to kiss him again.

Jeremy grinned widely, elation showing on his face and in the mischievous sparkle in his dark eyes, "I can do that," he said meeting her lips once more.
One hand drifted from her hips to her hair, his calloused fingers brushing it away as he continued to kiss her trying to shove three months worth of bottled emotions into their closeness all at once. This is what Jer had wanted and it was miles better then what he imagined it to by.
Her slightly pouty lips pressed against his fully as his fingers tangled in her hair. All thought of anything then else her was gone, there was no Johnny, there was no Star, there was only him an Faye in that instant.

A soft sigh fell from her lips as his fingers brushed through her hair. She had imagined this, countless times before, yet it had never felt like this, never this good, it was beyond words, and she didn’t even want to begin to describe the feelings running through her. She knew she could be making a mistake, that this was all just coming of her break up with Jack, just like before, it had all centred around Jack and her problems with him. Yet with Jer, she felt none of that, just calm.
Regrettably she pulled away from him, her tongue darting out to lick her lips, her dark eyes sparkling with a life that had been void for so long were sparkling and alive. She rested her forehead against his for a moment, before pulling away. “Looks like this is our lucky spot” She muttered, fingers running through his hair. Gently she pulled away once more, no matter how comfortable his lap was, nor how far he had pushed the seat back, being on his lap, in the front of the car was never going to be comfortable.
Slowly she eased out of his lap and into the passenger seat once more, one leg drawn up as she twisted so she could look at him.

Jeremy looked at her as she moved his lips still tingling, "Yeah, I think I'm liking here more then I did before," he said it softly his eyes finally alive looking.
"Sorry if you weren't comfortable, it just looked like you really needed someone to hold you. I hadn't meant to make you cry," He said it in apology as his hand ran through his hair shakily as if he was coming back down from some great high.
His heart was nearly pounding out of his chest as he looked at her sitting there in his passengers seat, her lips tinged red from their kiss. Jeremy didn't bother asking if the kiss was good for her, if it was better then the both of them were expecting, he could see it in her eyes and the way there so alive looking. The only thing he wanted to know was if she was okay with this, if she wanted this whatever this was between them to continue like Jeremy wanted it to.
Jeremy didn't ask as his head tipped slightly to one side and the words died on his lips, he was too caught up with Faye to really notice anything else around them. He cared for her so much more then he really thought was normal, but there wasn't exactly anything normal about the two of them anyways.

Faye slowly nodded her head, a smile crossing her lips, already her jaw was starting to ache but it was a good ache, one she could get used to, one she never wanted to stop feeling. The last time they had been here they had both ignored the feelings they had felt, both had gone back to their lives, yet now here they were brought back together once more. A soft blush crossed her cheeks at his words and she lifted her hand smoothing a hand through her hair. “No ones said that to me before” She whispered softly, a soft breath fell from pouting lips, tinged red from where his lips had been. “I think though you needed it just as much as I did”
Her gaze shifted from his face ever so slightly, looking out over the beach, she wanted to ask what happened next, but was almost afraid of the answer she would get, if it wasn’t what she wanted then it would destroy the moment between them.
“But then iv never really been kissed like that before, so it was worth it” She stated softly, her fingers reaching out to entwine her smaller ones with his larger ones, her thumb brushing over his knuckles.

Jeremy nodded, "I did, but you come first to me," he said as he glanced down with a wide grin as she started rubbing over his knuckles again, "Well if you want," he said taking a breath as he prepared himself to say the rest, "That kiss doesn't have to be the last one."
He glanced up at her from under his eyelashes, Jeremy was nearly praying that she didn't say no, and it wasn't as if he was a very religious guy either. He didn't know what to expect her answer to be so he steeled himself up for the worst, her rejection.
If she rejected his offer he'd more then likely fall back to his second best chance, Star. Right Star was the reason he was sitting here in his car on the beach with Faye asking not Star, but Faye, if they could let that spark between them grow. Jeremy was tempted to hold his breath but decided that he would be choking no matter the answer she gave him.

Faye looked over at him, her heart was hammering again, her gaze flicking over towards him, dark eyes sparkling as she watched him. His words made her smile, it didn’t have to end….not this time, they had nothing stopping them, except maybe Star, but he himself had said that him and Star had been difficult, and they had only met today. She didn’t have Jack any more, he was gone, out of her life, he had made that clear, and she understood why it had to be done.
Swallowing she heaved in a soft breath, the corners of her lips tugged into a smile and she slowly nodded her head. “Iv learned a lot of things in the last two weeks” She whispered softly, swallowing she smiled, wider this time, “I don’t wanna run any more” Her fingers shifted from him hand, and smoothed up to his cheek. Her body lent over the gear stick and her lips captured his softly, but with enough force, enough passion to allow him to fully understand her answer.

Jeremy grinned into her lips and found himself tangling his hand in her hair as he kissed her back. It was as if everything had clicked back into place, the void that normally filled him with a constant ache of regrets was slowly fading, and he knew with a certain clarity that his drinking habits were going to have to change if he wanted this to last.
He would do anything to keep her. Jeremy had let her walk away three times already, he wasn't going to let it happen a fourth if he could help it. His other hand thumbed over her cheek holding her face to him, this was something he had never done with anyone. He wanted to keep holding her, not because he had to or that she needed to be treated as if she might break, no, it was because he wanted to hold her. He wanted to show her he cared about her, he had even when she was with Jack.
Faye was an amazing goddess who cared and who had opened herself up to a mere mortal so they could both know happiness.

When she kissed Jack it had been fantastic, there had been this deep spark, but it, over time had gone, they had grown comfortable with each other, they were both just together because it was easy, it was something neither of them wanted to fight against, but in the end they were just no good. The deep ache that was now starting in her chest, it was for this man, the spark she felt for him, the same deep tingle she had felt when she had been wrapped in his arms when they had been at the beach.
Her own hand lifted, smoothing through his hair, the other hand resting against his chest, holding him to her, feeling his heart hammering beneath her fingers. Finally she pulled away, but remained close to him, her forehead resting against his, her dark eyes closed so she could just feel what was happening, she just wanted to concentrate on that feeling, the one she shouldn’t have ever let go.
Slowly her eyes opened, and she smiled…there was no point wallowing in the past it was done, and there was nothing she could do to change it, she had him now, she wasn’t going to question it, everything happened for a reason, and she knew everything that had happened, happened so she could return here, to his arms.
“We should get out, do something” She muttered, because if this was all they were going to do, the car was going to get cramped real quick.

Jeremy couldn't help the soft laugh, as his dark eyes bored into Faye's, "I was thinking the exact same thing. So you hungry?"
He asked it sheepishly because he was hungry, hungry and tired, mainly because he hadn't gone to sleep yet and he was approaching the 24 hour mark of being awake. Jeremy was glad Faye had accepted his question, that she wanted to let that spark grow into a steady fire. Sure it sounded cliché but that's what this feeling was, there weren't any other better ways to describe it then that.
Everything was warm, and happy. Happy... happy was a strange feeling to him almost foreign but not unwelcome as he was starting to realize. Happy was a good thing with Faye, she'd would be keeping him on his emotional toes alright.
