Mira glanced at the clock from where she lay on Brian's bed. Soon Brian would be back with Mia... She groaned and hide her face against the pillow. She didn't want to but she had promise to attempt to be Mia's friend. She was still alittle nervous about having Mia around but after last night most of that had disappeared.
She stood and stretched, dressed only in Brina's shirt.
Max pushed his empty dish around the kitchen floor until Mira picked it up and filled it. "Sitz."
Max sat immediately at his command and waited.
Mira set the bowl down "Geh Voraus." She then searched to kitchen for something for herself to eat.

After Mia was done visiting her Brother She drove to Brian's house boat, Shadow was laying in the back seat of her Skyline and she smiled. She parked outside of the House boat and walked up to the door. Shadow followed her and sat by her feet when she knocked on the door. She waited patiently for whoever was home to answer the door. She had her clothes in her Car but she'd left the rest of her stuff at the Abandoned Apartment.

It was Sunday and really the only Sunday Brian had taken to relax a bit in a while. Earlier he had tried to pick up Mia but she wasn't home.

So now he spent the afternoon with Mira. When the knock on the door came he groaned at the unwanted visitor, who was disturbing their rare session of video gaming.
Pausing the game he rolled off the couch and walked to the door dressed in only a pair of shorts.
"Mia! Hi, wanna come in?"

"Sure, Nice shorts." She said with a large smile She held onto Shadow's leash and walked inside and looked around. She smiled at what she saw, The place looked lived in. She looked down and noticed that Shadow stayed right by her side, She was sniffing around the place, Staying away from the scent of the other dog. Mia watched Shadow and continued to smile. "So, Where's Mira?" She asked curiously looking around.

In regards to the shorts he got a bit of a bitter sweet sensation. They had been one of Mia's gifts to him. "You gave em to me."
Following her inside he went to the kitchen to offer her a soda. "Water? Or Coke? Don't have any diet, sorry." He explained remembering her usual choice.
"Mira's taking a shower." He motioned for the small door that was at the end of the main room.
"So, what brings you here?"

"I'll have water please, I came to see if she wanted to make friends. Like you suggested" Mia said and leaned against the kitchen door. She watched Shadow lay by her feet and kept an eye out for the large German Sheppard, The last thing she wanted was for him to start something, Because she knew Shadow wouldn't fight against another dog. She smiled as she looked around. "I remember now. I went and saw Dominic, We need to get him outta there Brian, He almost died" Mia said. "I'm worried about him."

Mira stepped out of the shower and wrapped a large towel around her body. Quietly she stepped out of the bathroom and into the hall.
"Oh we have a guest..." She turned on and grabbed some clean clothes from her bag before stepping back into the bathroom. It took her just a few minutes to get dressed before walking back out to the living area of the boat with Max following.
"Hello Mia." She smiled slightly at the Italian women. "Nice to see you."

Max sat at Mira's side watching the smaller dog closely. The way he was sitting and the way he was acting were clearly dominate showing this other dog it was his home.

Shadow lowered her head and her ears and rolled onto her back, A clear sign of Submission. She didn't want to fight the other dog. She was a Good Pittbull,

"Nice to see you too Mira. How're you doing?" She asked with a smile on her face. She tried to convey that she wasn't a threat to her position in the household. She took a step back and knelt down to pet Shdow then held out her hand for Max to sniff.

Again there was this tension in the room, a tension that only ex-girlfriend and girlfriend manage to produce. This time both of them including their four legged friends were trying to be nice to each other.

Brian came back from the kitchen with a glass of water, which he handed Mia. He didn't bother to throw on a shirt, however, since both of the girls had seen him in his birth suit more than once.

"Are you going to stay here tonight- if that's okay with you?" He wondered with a side glance for approval from Mira.

"I'm doing well how about yourself?" She smiled alittle. Her mismatched eyes watched Max closely praying that he wouldn't feel threatened by Mia or Shadow.
"Who is this cutie?" She knelt down next to Shadow and aloud the dog to smell her hand.
Glancing back at Brian she smiled more. " I don't mind. They are stay. Its better then living alone around here. It can be quite dangerous." Her hand drifted up to her sternum rubbing the spot where the bruise had been.

Max sniffed Mia's hand. This lady didn't seem to bad and it would be nice to play with another dog. He licked Mia's hand his tail starting to wag a mile a minute.
He was alittle curious about the new dog so he walked over to Shadow and nudged her with his nose.

Shadow gently licked Max's Nose, She still had some Puppy tendancies because she was still a puppy. Her tail wagged excitedly behind her.

"This is Shadow, She's my Pretty Pitt." Mia said smiling at Mira. "She's great at defending me from Humans but she hates fighting other dog's. I rescued her from a Dog Fighting and force breeding ring. She's the nicest girl ever" Mia said gently scratching both Max and Shadow behind their ears.

If they could talk about dogs and become a little more acquainted that way Brian didn't have any objections. He walked over to the opposite wall and leaned against it with his legs crossed over each other.
"I didn't know you like dogs, Mia. Why did you never have one at the fort?" He asked referring to the old house by the name the gang had always called that place.

Suddenly Brian remembered what Mia had said before Mira walked in.
"You said you saw Dom and that he was in trouble? Did you fly to Cali? What's going on?"

"Yeah, I flew out to Cali, Some Gang Member inside the Prison decided he didn't like Dom and tried to kill him because Dom refused to Surrender. Now Dom's in the Woodsborough Hospital and As soon as he's better, He's going to be sent to Lompoc, He's not safe there Brian, I want him out." Mia said "And When we were Little Dom and I had a Red Pitt named Ember, She bonded with Letty but she later had to be put down because She attacked Tran when he messed with Letty." She said.

Brian froze at her words. Here they were talking about dogs while Dom was struggling for his life.
"Shit." The cop exclaimed truly shocked. "I thought they'd leave him alone. How is he? Is it bad?"
It had to be bad enough to fly him out at least which meant pretty bad.
Brian swallowed hard. If the feds had kept the end of their deal...
"What can I do, Mia? The judge screwed him over. There's nothing I can do."

"You can help me get him Out" Mia said "He trusted you, He went in there because of your Deal, I don't want to loose him again so now We are getting Him out" Mia said and stood in front of Brian. "And Obviously Your fellow Feds aren't trustworthy. Otherwise they would've done like they said they'd do"

Shadow moved to stand by her master. She knew she was agitated and tried to calm her down.

Wondering whether Mia knew what his girlfriend did for a living he looked between them for a moment. Was Mia talking about 'illegally' getting Dom out?
"Dom won't go for any more deals even if I could get him one. He's done, Mia. I understand you want him out but you know what he said to me, when I rolled that car down in Mexico and he stayed by my side? He said he's done running...if this is what you're getting at."

"Fine, If you won't help I'll Do it myself." Mia said and turned to walk towards the door, Shadow following her silently. She wasn't Angry with Brian she just wanted to see if she could get him to help. She continued out the door and sat on the front steps, Watching the cars go by and waiting to see if Brian would come around. She figured maybe he had to say that with his girlfriend there, She knew Mira was a Cop, She'd learned how to spot them a mile away. Her brother and Letty had taught her how. She looked at her own car that was parked down the street, If Brian didn't help She'd have to get Dom's Charger and rescur him herself.

Mira looked at Brian from where she sat on the floor. "You okay?" She felt out of place around Brian and Mia again... Like they belonged together. The thought made her heart ache. She was starting to realize she was in love with him. Even though Brian said there wasn't anything between him and Mia, Mira wanted to hear it from Mia.

Max laid his head on Mira's leg and whined.

Mia sat on the Step breathing in the semi clean air as she calmed down. She waited for either Mira or Brian to walk outside and either Ask her questions or agree to what she'd said. She absentmindedly pet Shadow to keep herself calm. She smiled at Shadow and looked out at everything, Then something came to her mind, Why was Brian acting Jealous whren he thought she was flirting with Drake, then acting all in love with Mira in front of her, Did he expect her to pine over him? She refused to do that, Sure they'd broken up, But he moved on, so the only logical thing for him to expect was for her to move on too. She looked at Shadow again then refocused her attention to the water. And what about the Race, She needed to work on a car that would easily be accepted into the Professional racing world, and she knew that it wouldn't be her Skyline.

"She's such a fire cracker." Brian groaned when she stormed out.
Trying to make him do what she wanted by running out was childish but Brian still felt like running after her because she would go and try to get her brother free by herself.
"I'm okay...it's just. If Dom hadn't stayed with me, he wouldn't be in jail now."
Brian sighed deeply and looked at his girl friend as if she had the answer out of all people. Mira knew nothing about what had happened.
"I gotta go and talk to her."
He pressed his lips onto hers and ran his fingers through her hair. "Give me a moment."


Then he got up and left through the glass door that Mia had left open. He found her sitting outside and stepped up next to her. "What do you want, Mia? You can't just go and 'get him out'. You'll get yourself a bed in prison as well. Plus he doesn't want to run anymore. Did you even ask him?"
