Considering how much as happened, and that there hasn't been any updates for awhile, any new guests/members will appreciate this...
Anyway, we have about 7-8 people actively playing right now. A couple players have multiple characters (Pm me if you want to know exactly who's who). Here's the list of taken canons:
Taken:
Brian O'Conner
Dominic Toretto
Mia Toretto
Letty Ortiz (possibly)
Luke Hobbs
Neela Kelley
Any canon not on that list is available.
All a newcomer really needs to read here is the last four paragraphs, titled Current state. But if you want to truly understand where each of the characters are coming from I suggest you read the Tokyo story that occurred a couple months ago.
So, down to business...What's happened over the last few months? I'll do my best to keep it simple...
Tokyo story
Brian O'Conner and his accomplice/lover, Mira Hobbs, were at the time police officers and investigating a case in which Walter Kavanagh, aka Joker, was behind. Roughly 40 stolen exotic cars were placed on a freighter to Tokyo, but was busted before the ship left port...or so they thought. Walter and his accomplices managed to sneak out the five most valuable cars (worth millions each) and get those to Tokyo, before anyone caught on. Meanwhile, through some clever mischief. Walter frames Brian as being the one not only behind the car jackings, but also the various murders that took place at the docking bay that day, which Walter was also truly behind.
Now that Brian is suddenly on the other side of a wanted poster. He debates whether to turn himself in and hope for the best or flee and try to prove his case on his own. With the help of his girlfriend, Mira, and recently met friend who felt bad enough for him to help him out, Cole Peyton, the three flee to Tokyo to try to find the cars themselves and hopefully set themselves free.
Meanwhile, Agent Luke Hobbs is assigned to take them down. He gathers his team and flies to Tokyo, determined to bag the three up, but especially Brian given that Hobbs' daughter, Mira, is his girlfriend. He makes it his personal vendetta to personally see to Brian's demise.
One night, Brian and Cole decide to hit the streets and see if they can make any money from racing. Cole is an ex-professional racer and Brian is, well, the Brian O'Conner. In addition to Cole meeting an old friend, Neela (this becomes a little more important later), Hobbs tracks them down and confronts them at the spot. Brian bails in his skyline and Hobbs chases after him, meanwhile Cole grabs Mira and those two run in Cole's evo, with a large amount of the police force in tow. Brian ends up getting blocked in but ends up escaping on foot, while Cole and Mira weren't so fortunate. As Cole was driving out of tunnel, a sniper onboard a police chopper took a shot at on of Cole's tires, sending his car into a vicious slide that ultimately ended in the car flying off a cliff of a mountain. Miraculously, both survive but with heavy injuries and are taken into custody at the local hospital.
I don't exactly remember when this happened in the timeline, but Mia Toretto suddenly showed up in Tokyo and consequently her and Brian ran into each other. Long story short, the two part on very bad terms and Mia is left crying her way back on a plane to the U.S. Since then the two of them have very bitter relations.
Back at the hospital, Cole is in serious condition and Mira (who's pregnant by the way) is in slightly better health. During this time, Brian and Cole have an altercation that puts them on ends, and Cole swears to stay away from Brian from here on out. Mira's dad, Luke Hobbs, seizes her from the hospital and Cole manages to escape with the help of Neela, despite his health being far from adequate.
Cole ends up hanging out with Neela a lot, and during this time he notices that the garage she works with houses one of the five stolen cars. This reignites the hope in him that there may still be a chance of retrieving them. He decides to see if he could maybe get the job done himself, now that he has inroads with one of the owners, but ultimately fails.
One night, Joker and Brian finally confront each other, and Brian manages to call Hobbs' cell phone from his pocket so Hobbs can overhear the conversation. He eventually shows up at the scene and both Brian and Joker make a run for it. Confused as to why Brian ran as well as Joker, Hobbs chases Brian and catches him, while Brian pleads his innocence and insists Hobbs should be chasing Joker. Brian is just about to be taken into custody when suddenly Cole shows up while practicing his drifting. He sees Brian and after some thought decides to talk to the man arresting him that Brian is innocent. Cole starts losing his case, but luckily, another one of the stolen exotics fly by and Cole and Brian convince Hobbs to let them chase it in Cole's car. They ultimately catch the car and a VIN check shows its stolen. Between the information that and the car Cole saw earlier at that garage provided, police were able to seize the remaining cars and everyone went back to the U.S while they still could. At this point, it is unknown whether Brian, Mira, and Cole are all free from their charges...they await court dates.
Current state
Back in the U.S in southern California, all is well except for one problem; all three of them are broke. One night while Brian and Cole were out money hunting, Cole meets Manako Sora who is a Japanese native and also a famous drifter back home. The two race, and the result is a tie. However, mafia boss Stephano Dieseli scouts the two and approached them to join in with the mob and to race for extremely large amounts of money under their banner. Lured in by the riches promised, both accept, and now both are official racers for the mob, for the better or worse.
Brian and Mira are stressing over twins that Mira is due for very soon. On top of that, their relationship has been put in a bit of a stranglehold for a variety of reasons. Brian is currently doing his best to mend things with Mira and also find a way to support themselves, although Cole has said he would help them out financially now that he has this job. On a side note, Brian and Mia's relationship has not improved and Brian is also trying to fix things with her, though Mia wants nothing to do with Brian anymore.
Finally, there is a plot in progress to get Dom out of jail. He is still held in Lompoc and recently talked with Mia who promised to get him out. Now Mia is talking to Stephano, who happens to be a close family friend to the Torettos, about getting Dom out.
And that is pretty much where we are now. I may have forgot a few things but that's the general stuff that's happened over the last few months. In the future, Brian and Mira's babies will be born, Dom will get out jail, and Cole and Manako will keep racing for the mob...until the inevitable day comes when it bites them in the ass.
Hope this was helpful to some
