"Allright." Then he adressed the others. "Who's going to ride with you? Letty, Vince and I will have to ride with you, Leon, Jack and Mia. Take your pick." He shoved a piece of gum in his mouth. It helped him to concentrate.

"Yeah I checked 'em," Vince growled, rubbing his face and trying to wake up. He'd never ever been accused of being a morning person, and he hadn't even had a coffee. Not to mention the nerves and the flashbacks to the last time he'd tried this sort of thing.
He just shot them a glare as they teased him, but there was no anger in it, just him normal grumpy self. He looked over the pics of the guys they'd be busting even though that would be his job. No, he'd be getting his ass shot on at purpose. How the hell did he always end up agreeing to this stuff?
"I don't care who I ride with," he said fo his piece. "As long as they're okay with getting buckshot in their tailpipe."
It figured that whoever was playing chaufre to him would also be taking the part of distraction vehicle.

If Vince checked the cars they were good. No need to double check. "You better ride with Leon, I guess." He didn't want to say that he didn't want Jack in the line of fire plus Leon had the experience of distracting. "I don't plan on being shot and I hope you don't either, bro!" He said with a slight smirk. "You're sure you want to pull that stunt again? It didn't end so good for you last time. I'm just asking cause I don't want you to get second thoughts once we're there.

Leon nodded his head "No problem with me bro"He said he'd rather be with Vince, keep his ass out of trouble, play distraction that he could do, and then bail them both out as soon as they had to.
"But lets keep this as boring as possible, i really dont want a repeat of the last time we jacked something" He said memories of that time resurfacing, Letty's pain, not knowing if Vince was ok.
"Keep a straight head, in on and out of there"

With a yawn, Jack kicked against one of the cars front tire before leaning against it and crossing his arms over his chest. He didn't care much who he rode with or even with what, but if they didn't start moving soon, his brain would probably go back to sleep on him.
"Didn't you say something about the bus not waiting on us?" He mumbled. "Perhaps we should skip the insecurities and second guessing for later, yeah?" Maybe it was his lack of experience on anything like this that made him remain fairly unfazed at the moment. He was just never one for thinking ahead. Just go with the flow and see where the ship strands was how he usually worked. Probably not the best way to go about this heist though.
"Shit's all planned out isn't it."

"Jack's right." Brian nodded towards his brother. "We gotta get moving. Letty and Mia are waiting and we can't afford any delays." He walked towards one of the cars and opened the door. "Hit the road, Jack. Keep your radio on the whole time." Then he got in and revved up the engine. His finger hovered over the microphone button for a moment while he went through the next steps in his head. Then he pressed it and said."Let's roll!" His tires left a black mark on the floor of the warehouse when he jammed first gear in and pushed the pedal to the floor.
Soon three grey modified imports flew down the road. At sunrise they left LA behind and followed the road east trying to attract as little attention as possible.
For a while nobody used the radios and the only sound came from the engine of the car. Brian threw a glance out his side window at the sun that rose into the sky like an orange fireball. It looked pretty dramatic and gave him a feeling of excitement though he wasn't sure that it was really the sun. Maybe it was the events ahead that had him breathing hard.

Leon loved the feel of the car as he drove through the streets of LA, following behind Brian easily, one hand on the wheel the other resting ontop of his lap, this was what they had been planning, break Dom out, he really prayed nothing went wrong. He shot Vince a side long glance trying to gauge what he was feeling, the last time they did something like this, Vince had ended up seriously hurt, and still held the scars from that day.
He sighedshifting gear and sat back for the long ride, the sun rising in the sky and smiled, the sun always looked beautiful at this time in the morning.
"You good dawg?"He questioned raising a brow as he looked over at Vince

Jack groaned at the words 'Hit the road, Jack'. Great. Now he was probably going to have that stupid song stuck in his head for the whole ride. Unless... He opened the door of the car he had been leaning against and got in, smiling when he found exactly what he was looking for. The car's stereo. That should take care of that damned song.
Soon the engine roared to life, but remained idling while he fiddled with the car-stereo, missing the 'let's roll' completely, until he found a station that played more his style of music. With a smirk, he cranked up the volume before he finally shifted in to first gear, rolled the car out of the warehouse and pushed the pedal down to catch up with the others.
He'd be lying if he said he didn't love being back behind the wheel again and it was even better with the speakers blasting, though they were supposed to stay low profile. He just had to take advantage of this car and the ride while he still could and figured it couldn't hurt that much as long as he turned it off when they were starting to close in on their mark.

Brian threw a glance over at Mia, who was riding with him. Leon and Vince had teamed up and Letty and Jack. This way they had at least one 'experienced' person in each team. Mia looked confident and as Brian had to admit pretty hot in her all black tight outfit. He moved his hand from the stick to her hand on her lap. "Everything okay?" Brian had asked her to bring a first aid kitt just in case. He couldn't call the helicopter in on this one if anything went wrong because they would for sure go to prison. The FBI wouldn't negotiate in that case. Over the radio he told the others. "I know I'm a pain in the a** but I want to remind you once again. Let's try to keep this as low-key and unviolent as possible. we cannot leave any evidence at the scene or we'll be the ones in Lompoc!"

Vince would do what he had to do. He'd given his word, and while he wasn't exactly ecstatic about jumping on the bus, he wasn't going to freak out either. He just grunted his reply, raising an eyebrow at Brian's smart mouthed brother.
He grabbed his duffel and got into the passenger side of Leon's ride without a word. He felt the familiar calm roll over him that he always got before a race - or a heist. The plans were made, there was nothing to do now but get it done.
"Yeah man, I'm good," he replied when Leon asked. Reaching down he started to unpack his gear and get ready. It felt weird to be doing this without Jesse and Dom beside them, but it wasn't like they had much choice. "Let's just get him out."
He glared at the radio when Brian sent out the call. "Yeah, yeah, don't get your panties in a twist, brother," he growled into his handset before shoving his crash helmet on his head.

Leon couldnt help but chuckle at Vince's responce, it was the same old same old, they were gonna do this right, they had plenty of training, and Dom was gonna come home with them, and then after who knew, but Dom had took him in, it was time to repay the favour.
"We're good Bri"He replied down the radio, trust Brian the one to be worried, but then again, he had the most to loose.

A little later Brian pulled over to switch seats with Mia. He got back into the car and funbled out the map. "We're about 30 minutes away from the target area. Get ready." he let the others know over the radio. With an all too familiar move he checked that his gun was loaded and the safety on. Then his eyes fell on Mia again. For a brief moment he held his breath and then simply stated. "I love you." This was an awkward moment to say something as important as this for the first time and not really the most romanticv of all places but Brian felt he needed to do it right now. He had felt it for much longer but never admitted it to himself or her.

When radio silence was broken, Jack turned the music off while he glanced at the device sitting next to him in the passenger seat. No more distractions from now on. Unlike the others, he was driving solo and thus had no one else to keep him on his toes but himself.
"Everything is good to go here." He simply stated through the radio. There wasn't much else to it.

Leon drummed his fingers ontop of the wheel listening to the words Brian was speaking, he leant to turn of the music, clear head from now on, soon they would be rounding up on the bus and he needed to make sure that nothing happened to Vince, that they didnt have a repeat performance. He ran a hand over his face and turned to Vince.
"we good to go Dawg?"

Larry the prisonbus driver

Post by Larry the prisonbus driver on Mar 1, 2010 22:39:51 GMT 2
With a cigar sticking out of the corner of his mouth, Larry took glances between the road ahead of him and his lovely bunch of passengers through the big mirror hanging of the ceiling next to him. In his many years of service it never seized to amaze him that on most of the rides, the bus was practically full. This time being no different. He shook his head with a smirk. When were these idiots ever going to learn not to get caught? Then again, if they ever did learn, he'd be out of a job and he still had to put his youngest daughter through college. Shit like that didn't come cheap if he wanted a good, secure future for his little girl.
He flicked some of the ashes in an ashtray next to the steering wheel. So far the ride had been a breeze, like most of the times. The worst Larry had ever gotten on one of his shifts was when a 'passenger' was getting rather mouthy, rallying up the others and wouldn't shut up. That was soon taken care off by a knock to the teeth with the butt of a shotgun from one of the guards though. Suckers still thought they had rights after getting on this bus. Boy, were they wrong. After all, prison was not a vacation and most guards didn't take kindly to anyone mouthing off.
He shot one last glance at the faces before focusing completely on the road ahead. They were reaching a blind spot soon. No decent vision on the road ahead or behind them thanks to some hills, and despite nothing big ever happening on his shifts, the area always made him rather uncomfortable. It was the perfect spot for things to go wrong. On top of that it was in the middle of nowhere. It would take a while for back-up to arrive there if ever necessary.
With a short whistle he notified the guards to be more alert, however, more for his own peace of mind than anything else. Why would anything go wrong today, after so many years of driving this bus and on this route? He just watched too many movies. That was all.

At the other end of the bus Jackson was keeping an eye out on the road behind them. He rubbed his clean shaven chin and frowned. He hated his job but he hated the bunch of rotten scoundrels and outlaws even more. If it was up to him tax payers wouldn't have to pay a cent for keeping them locked up and fed. He'd simply send them to slave mines. In his little narrow mind he had a great plan worked out where all prisoners would slave away in dirty, dark mines wearing big shackles and getting only rice to eat. He smirked at the idea when one of the prisoners in the last row dared to stretch his handcuffed arms and legs out a bit and touched his leg slightly.
With a huff he spun around and kicked the man in the shin. "Keep your filthy legs away from me!" The prisoner glared up at him and mumbled something in Spanish, which remotely sounded like asshole. "Asshole? Is that what you just called me?" His meaty hand reached around the inmates neck and sueezed tight. "Watch your tongue, prisoner, if you still want to have one when you get off this bus!"

Just behind the first hill leading into the blind spot in the road Brian asked Mia to drive her car off the road and manouvered it behind a row of trees to stay in hiding as long as possible. He watched Leon drive on and pressed the radio button. "Behind the trees, Jackie. Good luck, Leon." They would stay hidden until the bus would pass them and then pull onto the road to follow it hopefully undetected. He grabbed his backpack and reached in to get his harness out. Last time, or actually the only time he had ever jumped onto a vehicle at full speed it was without safety rope. This time he wanted to play it a little safer. He slipped the harness on and then focussed on the road. His hand rested on Mia's again, who was breathing heavily. "Relax."

"No sweat dawg"Leon replied watching as the car slipped of the road, soon the bus would be on them and it would be their time to do their thing. He let out a sigh stretching his legs as best he could, his eyes on the road at all times, he glanced over at Vince watching for a moment as he did his thing.
"Lets rock this shit"

Gage the racing con

Gage stretched his legs as much as he could in the cofines of the seat and the shakles. He grumbled to himself, it was just his luck that he would get caught at races running from the cops, and on his last warning, they had finally been able to do him, linking him to boosting cars, racing and all of the others things he shouldt have been doig.
Now he was doing a long stretch in prison, typical, what was ever more typical was, if he hadnt been cheacking out the new chick he wouldnt have been so slow getting to his car in the first place.
He chuckled to himself slightly cracking his neck, the only decent thing about beig stuck on the bus on his way to Lompoc was his neighbour was none other then Dominic Torretto, the king of the streets, the best street racer in town.
He wated to say something to him, to tell him how good he was at racing and that when he got out of there he was gonna take that title right from under him, but a stern look from guard and another prisoners telling of at his hands, had him thinking agasint it.
So there was nothing for it really, he was just gonna have ta sit back and enjoy the ride.

Vince nodded, his jaw tense as he checked his rig one last time before reaching to open the sunroof completely. The harpoon was sitting on the backseat, ready for action and now all that was left was too wait for their prize to come rolling by.
"You do realize that if something goes wrong this time, YOU'RE gonna have to be the one to save my ass," Vince said into the quiet of the car, arching a brow at Leon. "Ain't no way the buster is doing it twice, or - god forbid - his brother. I'd rather die," he grinned, joking of course, but figuring it would ease the tension a little.
"You know it brother," Vince replied, tapping the side of his helmet. As soon as they got the go ahead from Brian they'd be off, and he'd be maneuvering through the sunroof even as they pulled in front, hoping to hit the bus before the drivers even knew what was happening.
