For a brief moment Brian watched Manny engage in a 'conversation' with Mia before he cleared his throat to get his attention. Mia pushed her way out of the driver seat towards him and stepped so close that it was clear that she was Brian's girl friend. "You are very pretty." The old man stated in a very bold way but didn't intend to be rude. It was more of an observation. Brian could sense that Mia had become uncomfortable and stepped in front of her. "We're just here to return your car. She runs like a charm." That was an understatement. The old car still had a few surprises left in her. Brian handed the man the keys who only now cast a glance at him. "What happened to you?" His brow was creased because he wondered whether it had anything to do with the car. "Long story..." Brian tried to avoid the topic. "I'll tell you on Friday. I think I have to take tomorrow off." His boss' frown clearly showed that he was little impressed. "Any trouble with the cops...anything with my car?" Maybe his new employee had a run in with the police and the car was registered in Mannys name. Brian shook his head though. "No, no trouble with the police." Suddenly Manny seemed to put the puzzle together. "Because of the pretty lady?" He motioned for Mia and gave her a knowing smile. "I'd throw a punch or two for her!" He started bragging and pushing out his chest while stepping a little closer to Mia.

This Manny guy was creepy. She could feel her stomach do a flip or two when Brian´s boss started to tell her how beautiful she was, she didn’t feel like answering or being polite, this guy was just going a little too far for her liking.
Finally, Brian caught his boss attention but then his boss starting to question him about what had happen to his face and the cops were thrown in the conversation but Brian reassure him no cops had to do with what had happen to him, good thing he also mention he was going to take a day off, she was sure as soon as she got home she was going to ask to have the day off too to take care of him.
She scoffed and rolled her eyes hearing Manny´s words about how he´d throw a punch or two. “I bet you would. Hmm… I don´t mean to be rude but we should better get going. Are you ready?” she placed a quick kiss on his shoulder to make Manny see Brian was her boyfriend and also a warning for Manny to back off.

Brian wasn't so sure why Mia didn't like Manny's compliment but he didn't ask. The old guy gave her another look and then nodded at Brian. "You sure you got no trouble with them cops. I don't like having business with them, you know!" Brian confirmed with a nod. "Me neither." Of course he had never told his boss, what his job was before he became a second class mechanic.
"We can take my car back, almost forgot that I left it here, I just have to get the keys from my work pants." With Mia in tow he went inside where he kept some work clothes in the back in a locker. In the pockets he found his keys when Manny suddenly popped his head in again. "How did the old girl run?" The voice behind them almost made Brian jump but he quickly calmed down and smile. "Pretty damn sweet. I'm thinking about buying if off you." Manny just laughed. "You can't afford it."
He cast another glance at Mia and then stepped aside to go to his back office. "Come back soon."
When the walked around the back where Brian had parked his old rust bucket he grinned at Mia. "What? You are beautiful? No need to be embarrassed about that." Brian didn't understand why Mia got so uncomfortable at the compliment. "here." He handed her the keys. "Watch the clutch. Let it come slowly or the engine will stall."

It was now 10 o´clock, and this part of the town was a little bit difficult to find a cab. Good thing Brian had his car here, which would make it easier for them plus save money. He searched for a few seconds until he took them out of the pocket of his “uniform”.
She could barely hear Manny because she was following Brian and getting into the driver seat. “You can compliment me a million times and I wouldn’t mind but your boss it´s another story,” she shuddered just remembering how hard the old guy was trying to impress her which in her mind meant ´RUN!´
She followed his instructions about the car and how she had to be careful with the clutch. “It was odd… creepy, creepy boss you have,”

The car died three times on the way home because of the tricky clutch but Brian only noticed one time before he fell asleep in the passenger side. At home he dragged himself back up the stairs to the bedroom where he continued his sleep fully clothed and with his boots still on because he couldn't be bothered to take them off. Hopefully Mia would understand when he muttered soemthing about 'vacuum tomorrow'.
The nights sleep was filled with strange bits and pieces of the fight, Jack as a kid, Mia and a lot of confusing information about flash drives, Mexicans and the Mob. He woke with a start after one of the mobsters wanted to blow Jacks head off with a shot gun. The dream was so vivid and surreal that his heart was racing when he laid sprawled out on his back in the small bed of the spare room. For a moment Brian stared at the ceiling trying to make sense of his dream but decided he couldn't. He went back to sleep. The next morning Brian woke up way too early for his taste and after a brief visit to the bathroom and a not too pleasant look in the mirror and the shades of purple under his eyes and around his nose he decided to crawl back into bed next to Mia this time, who was sound asleep in her own bed. Against their usual habits they weren't sharing a bed yet...anymore.

He barely made it to the spare room, he muttered something hard to hear but there was no need for her to stop him. She was tired too. Not even a ´´Good night´ was said that is how tired she felt after the car died three times on their way back home she was just ready to sleep.
Last thing she remembered was changing her clothes replacing them with nice and comfortable pajamas and within seconds fell asleep.
*** What time was it? 5 am? 6 am? It was still dark outside... Mia opened her eyes feeling someone getting comfortable next to her. It was too damn early to ask questions, to even say a word; instead she got closer to him as soon as he joined her, she could hear his agitated breaths and slowly opened her eyes. “What´s wrong?”
Her cool hand rested on his forehead feeling the beads of sweat, there was a darker shade of purple under his eyes, he looked worse than yesterday.

The bed was nice and warm. Through the gap in the window there was a cool night breeze coming in. Mia's bare shoulders snuggled against his chest when he slipped under the comforter with her. Hoping that he could go back to sleep despite the pain in his ribs and face he closed his eyes when Mia started stirring. She gave a soft little groan because she didn't want to wake up yet wlhtough it was almost time to get ready for the early shift.
Brian felt her hand on his forehead and opened his eyes gently reaching for it because she was touching one of the spots Jack's knuckles had caressed the day before. "Nothing, go back to sleep." He wrapped his arm around her closing his eyes. "You only have an hour."
To lie in bed with her felt so strange. It was something they had done for a long time, but not since they had gotten back together because to share a bed was very intimate, more than they were ready for yet. "It's nice here." He whispered.

She could see something was bothering him besides the pain Jack decided to deliver, she was getting ready to go back to sleep when he reminded her, she had only one more hour for her to wake up and get ready for work. She groan loudly showing her discomfort at how little time she was going to have to go back to sleep, that is if she still wanted to sleep.
Burying her face even more on his chest. “I really don´t want to go. I´ve been working my butt off, I should give them a call and ask for a little vacation at least for the next two days…” She had been covering various shifts from other nurses, day and night; it was time for her to ask for a little time off.
"It's nice here." He whispered. She smiled and rubbed her eyes to get a better look at his bruised face. Despite his split lip, she kissed him delicately not wanting to cause more pain than he already had. She looked for her phone on the night stand table next to her bed and stopped for a moment thinking of whom should she call…

Brian heard Mia groan loudly into his ear because the morning was simply too early to crawl out of bed. She complained about not wanting to go to worked, probably to stay home and fuzz over Brian, which was nice on one hand but could be a little exhausting because she was so mad at Jack. It was true that she'd worked a lot of overtime though.
When Brian opened one eye to look at what she was doing he found her examining him closely. Moving back a little he asked. "What are you doing?" Next thing he knew her lips were on his. For a second he flinched away but then decided to play through the pain and return the kiss with a little more passion than she had. Maybe it was the bed the were sharing... Mia started rummaging for the phone but Brian pulled her back and leaned over her again to capture her lips with his once more, this time he let his tongue find hers. Then he pulled back and burried his head in her soft skin. "Hmmmm, yeah, take the day off."

She was getting ready to call her boss but Brian pulled her close to kiss her taking his time, she moaned feeling his tongue take advantage of her mouth, he pulled back and buried his head, she caressed his short blonde her for a moment feeling his respiration tickle at her neck. She chuckled when he agree for her to take the day off. “Alright,” Her voice sounded groggy.
Mia called to the hospital asking Amber who was at the other end of the line to find their boss so she could talk to him. After a few more minutes of greeting her boss over the phone she asked for the next two days off because of some family stuff, not really going into detail, despite the short amount of time working at the hospital her boss knew her and also knew she did her job, and was always early, never had a problem with her so when she asked for two days off she knew he wasn’t going to object, plus working overnight numerous occasions.
“Thank you …” she finished the call. “Not two but three days off. Perfect!" Just what she needed to relax.

"That's awesome." Brian muttered a little half hearted with his eyes closed. Right now he was too tired and sore to get excited about anything than laying in bed with her. "Does that mean we can stay in bed until I have to go back to work?" He wondered and rolled onto his back in search for a more comfortable position. Every deeper breath agitated his side and he really wasn't looking forward to the next two or three days, not even if Mia was off. His hand gently caressed her hair when he whsipered. "Go back to sleep now."
About an hour later he woke up again with her pressed against his side. It felt nice to wake up next to somebody...not somebody, her! For a moment Brian studied her sleeping features with and serious expression. Was he really ready to be in her bed again? Was he getting ahead of himself and the situation he was in? Brian didn't have the answer. He only knew that waking up next to her felt great.

"Does that mean we can stay in bed until I have to go back to work?" She pulled the covers enough to shield her arm from the cool wind entering the window. “Yes,” she blinked looking at how Brian struggled to find a comfortable position but didn´t say a thing, instead she tried to go back to sleep and it wasn’t hard to do that when she felt Brian´s hand caressed her hair.
What made Brian take that choice?

For at least ten minutes Brian watched Mia sleep while he was awake and tried to make sense of the weird situation he was in. Having babies with one woman but in a relationship with another...that didn't happen too often and Brian still couldn't decide whether it was a good thing that Mira had kicked him out of her life. He couldn't change it though, nor would it be smart.
Then the events of the previous day played over in his mind. How he had met Jack and instantly started racing in broad daylight. It was a crazy circuit but made Brian proud. The fight that followed wasn't unusual, the fact that Jack admitted he felt bad about ruining Brians relationship, was extraordinary.
Once Mia started stirring next to him Brian decided to pay it no further thought but focus on the here and now. He gently kissed her cheek and smiled at her. "Good morning, well as good as a morning after a day like yesterday can be." He leaned down to place a kiss on her lips and brushed a few strands of brown hair, that had fallen acroos her face, out of it. "Want some coffee?"

She stirred feeling Brian move. “Hey,” she started to rub her eyes, adjusting them to the sunrays that started to come in through her window followed by a smile feeling the gentle kiss on her cheek, he then proceeded to capture her lips. “What a wonderful way to wake up,” Mia was glad she didn’t have to wake up running around trying to get to work, she was really looking forward to relax and help Brian heal after that beating he took due to seeing Jack, she was sure that Jack got injured at some point. All it took was just a look, and not even a word for both siblings to start punching and kicking each other. She removed the covers around her body and sat down shaking her head gently, coffee didn’t sound so appetizing this morning. “No, not this morning,”

It was a great way to wake up in the morning with Mia next to him, her long hair cascading over her shoulders and the sunrays illuminating her bare olive skin. With a smile Brian blinked and nodded. "Can't think of a better way." he agreed. If only he wasn't so sore. What was fresh pain yesterday had turned into bruises and stiffness, which was worse than the day before and made Brian want to stay in bed all day long.
He watched Mia sit up and let her sheet drop around her. Her bare back was towards him and he simply had to place his hand on the small of her back to feel the soft skin. "You are so beautiful. You're one of those women who don't need any make up to be gorgeous."
Why she didn't want coffee Brian wasn't sure but after slowly pushing himself up from the bed he sighed. "I need one though." He was still wearing yesterdays clothes. The shirt was clean but his pants had some red sprinkles on them. How could he have worn those in Mia's bed? "Sorry..." He muttered and unbuttoned his pants to let the drop to the floor and step out of them. "I guess I should take a shower."
He padded his way to the bathroom and turned on the water to wait until it would be warm. A look in the mirror confirmed his suspicions. He looked like a train had run him over. "Thanks, Jack." Gingerly he touched the bridge of his nose but very quickly drew back his hand. At least he could pull out the cotton now. Silently he made plans to get his revenge on Jack. With both palms on the cold poreclainof the sink he frowned deeply at his own reflection. No wonder Mia was angry at his brother. He sure as hell would be angry at anybody who'd beat up his 'partner' as well. Then again it would be much worse because she was a girl. Finally Brian stepped into the shower and let the warm water soak his skin.

She chuckled. "You are so beautiful. You're one of those women who don't need any make up to be gorgeous.” She leaned kissing him. “You are so sweet,” stretching her arms, Mia turned to look at Brian.
“Don´t worry about it. You take a shower, and I´ll make sure that your coffee is ready,” she could see every ounce of tiredness under those dark and purple around his eyes. “I´ll see you downstairs,” she pulled out an oversize shirt and wore it on top of the thin fabric blouse, covering her pajama shorts, barefoot she walked out of the room and down to the kitchen.
It was so peaceful this morning. Was it because she was free of work for a few days? Slowly, she made her way to the kitchen getting everything she needed to make him coffee. She had forgotten how to relax, what a simple morning was like.
Twenty minutes went by and the smell of breakfast had fill the whole house. She hurried outside to pick up the newspaper from the ground that every single morning was thrown at her house, same with all the neighborhood, she sat down flipping through the newspaper pages with a cup of juice in her hand.

The warmth of the water finally made his tense muscles ease up a bit. It stung in other parts where the skin had spilt though. With water running down his back Brian had a few minutes to try and figure out what had happened the day before. The fight still made him angry, what was more present on his mind were Jack's and Pipers words about some flash drive and mafia. What had his brother gotten himself into now or was this still connected to their last run in with the mafia. Brian wasn't sure and couldn't make sense of it. The only thing he knew was that his brother was very close to danger, too close to be safe. It was only a matter of time when they finally killed him. Maybe it was time to call Monica up and give her some information. Maybe that was the only way to safe Jack's life.
Brian turned off the water, grabbed a towel and dried his now crab red skin. Then he slung it around his waist still thinking about the right thing to do. In the bedroom he found a plaid flanel and some sweatpants that would be easy to slip on.
When he made his way downstairs the delicious smell of breakfast and coffee greeted him and put him in a better mood. "Oh, nice..." He sat down and started filling his plate. Mia was reading the paper so he leaned forward and pushed the paper down to give her a kiss. "Thank you."
After having some coffee and a bite to eat he asked. "Jack's girl friend mentioned something about a flash drive and mafia. I think it's time to call Monica. I'm afraid they'll kill him if nobody intervenes and I'm not going to put my own life on the line for him again." His voice was firm but deep down he had clear doubts about ratting his own brother out. "Maybe I can get him a deal." There was a knot forming in his stomach.

Early mornings were not Cole's friend, and so he had to ask himself why the hell he was up this early, and actually out and about. Well, sleep hadn't exactly been working for him either. The mob as he knew it was no more...supposedly. So he should be clean, he should be worry free. But he wasn't, at all. He couldn't help but remember some of the things Brian told him when he first took that damn job, things along the lines of "you never escape the mob." Sometimes it felt just a bit too good to be true. He took 18 million dollars from the late Mr. Dieseli, 18 million...and it wasn't like he did it in the most concealed way either. Surely, someone who still had their life or their freedom knew about Cole, and what he had. To make matters worse, Cole had acted his age. He went out and bought several stupidly expensive cars and even flaunted them to some degree. If there was ever a way someone could scream "I have too much bloody money" he had done it. He certainly wasn't under the radar. If someone wanted his head, he wasn't making it difficult to get. That's why it was time to change, time to think smart. He sold the 2 million dollar Koenigsegg along with some of the more flashy Lamborghini's and Ferrari's he bought on impulse. He only kept his black Audi R8, his red R35 GT-R (which still needed an engine rebuild), and the Silvia. Sure, he'd stock up on cars again, but more along the lines of Evo's and Mustangs, cars that were actually practical. It had been awhile since he'd seen, well, anyone. After the run in with Shawn and the super close call with police, he'd been playing it safe. Surely, news of the Koenigsegg chase hit the news (which was a big reason why he sold it), and Cole had to lay in the shadows for things to cool down. Only time would tell if they actually had. Regardless, he was on his way to the Toretto's house in the R8. Last he knew, Brian practically lived there now anyway. If there was one place to go to find everyone, it was there. Truth be known, he didn't know what to expect from them. He wouldn't blame them one bit if they just wanted him gone for awhile. Danger loomed on his head, no doubt, and he wasn't the person that would want to unnecessarily put his friends in danger anyway. The polished black Audi tucked itself neatly in the driveway of the Toretto's and the tall blonde stepped out. The kid looked pretty rugged himself, despite the clean clothes and the scent of old spice, the stress and sleep deprivation were something you couldn't wash away. With a few quick knocks on the front door, he leaned back on the railing, taking a guess at who would open. OOC: Hope ya'll don't mind if I crash in for a few posts

She accepted his kiss as he filled his plate with breakfast. “You’re welcome,” She returned to her reading, everything was so darn peaceful until the name ´Jack´ and ´mafia´ came out of his lips. She had to place the newspaper down, a small frown made its way to her forehead.
Mia listened to his explanation, after the encounter they had with Monica because of his brother and now he was determined to give her a call and help her to find and take the younger O´Conner to jail although he wasn’t going to be next to Monica, he was really going to send him one way or another behind bars, that was better than to see his brother dead, it sounded so simple yet deep down Mia knew Jack´s girlfriend was going to make everything in her power to prevent Jack to go to jail, she would the same if Brian was in his brother´s shoes.
She stood up and walked next to Brian kissing his head softly, placing her hand on his shoulder. It´s like he was battling with his brain and his heart, the O´Conner boys loved and hated each other at the same time. “Are you sure?” she questioned him; she wasn’t agreeing or denying him what he wanted to do. She had to make sure he realize what he was about to do to his brother… the younger sibling side of her showing… she had a brother too that got in a whole lot of trouble, not as bad as Brian, though.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a knock, that couldn’t be Dom, even the way the person behind the door knocked; she could tell it wasn’t her brother. Mia opened the door, Cole stood in front of her, and he looked pretty bad, red and baggy eyes… “What the hell…?” she pulled him inside her house and sat him down. “Cole, when was the last time you ate or slept?” She gave him a glass of water stopping the questions giving the kid time to talk.
OOC: Not at all! Welcome back!

The doubts about ratting out his own brother were very strong. It wouldn't be Mia if she couldn't tell that he was second guessing his own decision. "Are you sure?" He heard her ask. Very diplomatic as usual. "Not at all." Brian admitted while sipping his coffee with his mind still at Jack's girl friend and her words. "I'll have to figure out whether I can get a goo deal from Monica before I do anything. You know I'm not just going to send him to jail."
The unpleasant conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door. As usual a knock put Brian instantly on edge so he put down his coffee cup and braced himself for yet another unpleasant visit.
Mia went to the door but Brian followed her to make sure she wasn't running into any trouble when she pulled in a familiar lanky blonde. The guy looked tired and worn out, like he'd been through a lot. It was kind of ironic to face him with a swollen nose, lip and various shades of blue and purple under his eyes. Cole hadn't received a beating but he looked almost as bad. Brian gave him a brotherly hug and asked. "Long time no see, almost thought you bought a ticket to the Caribean. How are you? You look like shit!" Then he made his way back to the kitchen and sat down to continue his breakfast. "Sit down, have a bite." He invited Cole, who had always been generous to him.
