After two hours of snoozing on the couch Brian just couldn't sleep any longer. Too many things were going through his head. So he straightened up and stretched his arms and legs. Apparently the morphine had mostly vanished from his system because Brian's back hurt like hell from the sudden movement. Nevertheless he told himself to suck it up and then Jack, who he found searching through the fridge in the kitchen, that he'd go and pay Angel a visit. "The only explanation why I won't show up for work today or the next few days is that I've been working undercover with Angel's gang. I'll still have to figure out what I tell Angel though. I can't tell him why I need an alibi because he might one day testify against me."
While he absentmindedly searched his pocket for his car keys he asked Jack. "Are you coming? I could use a driver." Irritated he looked down at his pants and noticed that they weren't his and obviously didn't contain his car keys. The Skyline wasn't at the fort anyway. "And a car." He added.

Jack pulled his head out of the fridge and couldn't help but smirk at the sight. "Nice pants. You should give me the number to your stylist, bro." He gave Brian a friendly slap on the shoulder while he shook his head and closed the fridge door.
"Car shouldn't be a problem. Could always hotwire one." He joked before he gave his brother a short once over. It hadn't even been 24 hours since the crash and this walking around couldn't be all that healthy. "You sure you're up for this?"

Brian was ready to fly off the handle when he made his joke about hotwiring a car. "Jack! Stop fu..I hope you're joking." he held himself back seeing the smirk on his brothers face. "You know one thing that amazes me about you? No matter how bad the situation nothing gets you down-that's cool, bro." He slapped him on the shoulder.
In regards to his question he answered. "Nah, I feel like shit. That's why I need a chauffeur or maybe a babysitter. But we have to do this. My boss is going to ask questions and he's much more intimidating than the two idiots that came by earlier. And Angel was expecting me last night. Better visit him than have him come visit us again and turn everything upside down."
From the door he looked around in search of a car. The only one he could find was the Charger.
"Where do you shove all that food that you constantly put in your mouth?" He asked while he pointed at the garage.

Jack smiled and patted his stomach. "Just got a healthy appetite, is all."
His gaze followed the direction Brian pointed at and the smile soon turned in to a shit eating grin. "Now that beats hotwiring a random car any day." Forgetting about his brother's condition for a moment, he practically jogged towards the Dodge and ran a hand over the paintjob before taking the liberty of getting in the unlocked car. While he got comfortable behind the wheel, his hand reached for the visor in the hopes of finding the keys there. Quickly he pulled the thing down and he couldn't help but feel like a kid on christmas morning when they actually fell in his lap. "Come on, bro. Get your slow ass in here! You know what they say: time is money." It was safe to say he was more than eager to take this baby out for a spin.
Impatiently, he waited for Brian to get in, then shoved the keys in to the ignition and closed his eyes for a moment as he turned the powerful engine on, smiling when it roared to life. He could already practically feel the HP surging through the machine even though it was still idling. Then he finally turned to his brother, smile still present on his face. "Where to, bro."

When Jack turned the key in the ignition pictures of Dom ripping off Brian's head flashed in front of his eyes. He shuddered. "Dude, be careful with this car. It belonges to Dom and he WILL kill anybody who puts a dent in this thing." He reached for the seat belt and told Jack where to go.
The whole way Brian was so tense he could barely breath normal. For one thing Jack didn't treat the Charger like a raw egg and then Brian kept going through possible explanantions he could give Angel why he needed an alibi.
When they reached the car wash Brian took a deep breath. "I'll be right back." For some reason he didn't want to drag Jack into any more trouble that he already had.

For about 2 seconds Jack waited in the car, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel to some song he had stuck in his head, before he shrugged and got out of the car as well. Patience was never one of his virtues and, aside from that, Brian never told him to stay in the car anyway.
He caught up with his brother, checking out the place as they approached it and gave an impressed nod. Nothing seemed too out of the ordinary aside from a couple of Mexicans shooting them anything but friendly looks. "So this is where all the shit goes down huh? Nice."

Brian turned around to see Jack catch up with him while he crossed the street. 'Damn stubborn kid' he thought. He pointed back at Doms car. "Jack, get back in the car!" It was a half assed attempt. Brian knew as well as Jack that he wouldn't turn around. When he reached the sidewalk and Jack was still at his side he remarked. "Remind me to never have kids that turn out like you!"
Then he looked at the building and nodded. "Yup, that's where the shit is going down!" He stepped into the side entrance and knocked on the second steel door in the gang's double and tripple knock.

Angel was sitting at his desk, furiously punching in numbers into his calculator. He slammed the calculator down on the desk, and threw himself back into his leather chair. He groaned furiously. Today was not going well at all.
Money was missing and this could be a problem. Plus shipments had been delayed and now he had to pick up Amira's slack. She refused to return his phone calls and was avoiding him like the ebola virus. And now he was gonna have to make her monthly delivery south of the border. The bosses were waiting and as far as he knew, they were not patient at all.
The only problem was that he couldn't leave the car wash unattended while he took a 3 day trip down south. Angel ran his hands over his head, contemplating his options. He was distracted by a sharp knock on the door.
He got up and yanked the door open, knowing that who ever dared to disturb him while he was crunching numbers must either hate their life or really love God. "WHAT?" He barked.
The fact that when he opened the door and found Brian standing there did not shock him. It only got the wheels spinning as a slick smile crawled onto his face. He finally figured out how he was gonna get Amira to start picking up her slack and get their shipments and deliveries back in order.

The angry 'what?' made brian want to turn around a leave immediately. With all the trouble of the past two days he couldn't use any more shit. Nevertheless he put on somewhat of a smile and greated Angel. This had to be done. "Hi, Angel." Without further hestitation he enter the office and took a seat-not to make a point, just because he couldn't stand on his own two feet any longer. The blood loss had left him pretty weak. A look assured him that Jack was right by his side, which gave him a strange sense of comfort. "I know you don't owe me anything and I'm in no position to ask favours but I still HAVE to." He watched the expression on Angels face. It wasn't as angry as he expected it to be. "I'm in trouble." Since Angel just sat back and listened and didn't make any attempts to say something Brian continued. "I need you to spread the word that I've been doing a job for you on Thursday."

Angel smirked as he processed the words coming out of Brian's mouth. "And see all this time I figured I'd be the one coming to you for an alibi. Interesting," he said, as Brian made himself comfortable in the office.
He watched as Jack seemed to be instinctively attached to Brian, almost protective like. This must be serious. The little brother has transformed into the big brother. Of course, none of this mattered to Angel, it only sweetened the deal.
Brian was a valuable asset. Profits were up and the rise. The crew seemed to be adjusting to Brian, slowly but surely. And if Angel didn't save Brian, he would most likely become somebody's bitch in prison and eventually rat them all out. And then the only decision to make would be how to kill him. This would look bad on his record.
"Fine. I'll say whatever it is to whoever. Hell, I'll even kill whoever starts asking a few too many questions. Just as long as you do me a slight favor. Quid-pro-quo, some say," he said.
Angel walked over to his chair and sat down, interlacing his fingers in front of him. Angel was about to let Brian start digging their graves without even knowing it. But if Brian wanted his alibi, and Angel and the business back on track- they would all need to dig a little deeper- harder and faster.
