She hated the thought of doing his dirty work. Of picking up where she had left off. It had been a while since she had that look on her face, that weight on her shoulders, but she understood what was on the line if she didn't make the trip.
Her new life. Them.
Amira found herself driving down the highway, heading south. Heading to the place she once called her haven. Heading back to Braga. She found herself making that oh so familiar trip and as she got closer and closer to the border, she felt herself slipping away so slowly. The old familiar itch calling her back.
She slid her sunglasses down from the top of her head to the bridge of her nose, focusing on the road that lay ahead of them. Their mission was to bring back Vince- in one piece, if possible. Her mission- to stand her ground. She refused to go back to them and follow her in brother's footsteps. She refused to take over the family business.
Ami sighed, looking over at Jack who was currently riding shotgun. "I gotta tell you something," she whispered lightly, feeling like she couldn't hold it in anymore. Someone needed to know the truth in case anything went wrong. Someone needed to live to see it all through. Her voice cracked as she spoke the words ever so lightly.
"I'm not who...."

Jack watched the scenery fly by with disinterest in his eyes. Fucking Mexico. After his last little visit, he'd grown quite a disliking for the shit-hole of a country and yet here he was again. On a rescue mission. Except this time, it wasn't with his brother.
"Hmm?" He turned his head towards Amira when she broke the silence and, judging from her intro, apparently deciding to have a heart to heart. He sat up a little straighter though, when he heard what was about to come out of her mouth. Even though he knew what it was going to be, he let her finish her sentence. He wanted to hear it from her, hell, he had to since he wasn't supposed to know in the first place.
"You're not who, what?"

She cleared he throat, wondering if Jack knowing too much would get him into trouble. "You gotta know that I never meant for it to end this way. I didn't set out to cause so much destruction, and eventually you gotta pay for it," she said.
Amira reached down underneath her seat and pulled out a gun, passing it swiftly to Jack. "We'll make it through the border with no problems but once we make it to the compound, that's where the real danger is."
"The most important thing my brother ever taught me was to always have a contingency plan, especially when it comes to doing family business. At the back of the house there will be an SUV parked, keys in the ignition, bullet proof vest and instructions on the seat. If anything goes wrong, run. Don't look back, don't go home. Promise me, you will save yourself," she said, switching lanes to avoid traffic.

"Jack, you still with us?" Dom called into the radio as he saw Jack and Amira's car slow down a little. He wanted this to get done; Vince didn't need to be under Braga's control anymore, and he needed his brother back.

Letty glanced at Dom then at the car infront of them, Jack and Amira were riding together, and Dom was radioing in to check up as the vehicle slowed in front of them.
Only the sound of stactic came over the radio as a reply to Dom's question. From her place in shotgun she could only make out the backs of their heads.

Jack took the gun from Amira while he listened to her in silence, leaving all the smartass comments behind for once. He figured things could get pretty rough when they'd get there, but he never expected her to out her concern like this. Especially when it came down to him.
He blinked when the radio cracked to life with Dom's voice and nodded at Amira. "Don't worry about it. May not always act the brightest bulb in the box, but I can hold my own in sticky situations."
Then he finally hit the speakersbutton and answered. "Yeah, we're good, bro."
