It had been four long days since the massive destruction at the garage. After trying to recover for 2 days and a half, which Brian spent lying in bed, gobbling up pain killers and finally pacing the floor wrecking his brain what he had done to Jack to deserve this he decided to drive to the garage while Mia was out for a walk with Tyler. Here he came face to face with the destruction Jack had caused. Apparently neither Leon nor Rome knew what to do with the beat up car and had simply left it the way it was. At least they had cleaned up the broken glass and blood stains. With a deep breath Brian turned away from it and walked to the office. The angry blinking of the office answering machine showed that there were 12 message. With a deep frowned Brian placed his keys on the table and pressed the message button. As he had expected most of the calls were from a customer who had dropped off his car to get new brakes and still hadn't gotten it back because his ride had gotten something completely different than new brakes. Brian ran a hand over his head, which still hurt when he turned it too fast. "What now?" He muttered. His eyes fell on his keys. A second later he swept them up, headed to the door and hopped in his car. This situation needed to be clearified. Only 20 minutes later he rang the bell of his former home hoping his brother would be there.

It had been four days since she had come home yet her mind was still raceing, she still didnt really know what to belive, running a towell over her wet hair she turned to look at Jack, he looked like shit, bruises covereing his face, and body, heaving in a breath she let it out, and decide to allow her hair to dry naturally. She walked over to Jack wrapping her arms around his neck, dropping a kiss to his shoulder, before furrowing her brow at the sound of someone knocking on the door.
"Ill get it" She muttered, she twisted away from him and headed down stairs, bare legs, stil slsightly wet from her shower, white top slightly see through, she ran a hand through her wet hair and pulled open the door.
The sight that met her had her brow furrowed in confusion, Brian looked a hell of a lot worse then Jack did, and she began slowly connecting the dots, with a sigh she licked her lips and shook her head. "Jack its Brian" She callde up the stairs, stepping away so that Brian could enter the house. "You want anything Bri" SHe quesitoned.

For some strange reason Brian hadn't expected a half naked Faye to open the door, which was odd since she lived here. Immediately he lowered his head because he was embarrassed about his appearance. The swollen bridge of his nose, cut on his forehead and black eye didn't only make him look like a bully or in this case looser but it was almost as if he was pointing his finger at jack 'See what he's done?'. He brushed passed her and said. "Thanks, Faye. I just want to talk to my brother." before he could come eye to eye he had to take a deep breath to calm his shaking hands. A mixture of anger and confusion clouded his judgement especially since he personally couldn't recall what had happened. "Hi, Jack."

Faye smiled, slowly nodded her head as she watched Jack head down the steps, her gaze wondered between the two of him slowly and biting the inside of her lip she swallowed visibly. "Im gonna go finsh getting ready" She stated, she shot Brian a sympatic smile and then headed up stairs, stopping to kiss Jack, it was something she had done more and more since she had come back, determinded to let him know she did love. "Love you" She whispered soflty before her bare feet hit the steps.

Jack ran a hand through his hair and over his face when he heard the name being called from downstairs. He should have known this day would come sooner or later, but he'd rather had it later.. much later. Obviously avoiding Brian like the plague didn't work too well when he lived in his brother's old house.
"Shit." He mumbled as he pulled a shirt over his head before heading down the stairs, returning Faye's kiss as well as her words with a small smile, before he faced his brother who was already waiting in the hallway with an expectant look on his fucked up face. Without a word, he simply gave a nod as a greeting in return while he headed straight for the kitchen. He didn't want to see Brian, let alone talk to him and apologize. Even if the apology was long overdue, he was still too damn proud, or stubborn, to do it.

Brian was a bit taken back by Jack turning his back and running into the kitchen. If it was true what Leon had said, Jack should at least feel slightly guilty. Confused he followed him and took the liberty to sit down on one of the wooden chairs. Reaching for the bottle of Coke on the table Brian poured himself a glass and drank a sip. "So when are you going to come back to work? There's a pretty big job waiting for you."

Jack kept his back turned toward Brian, both his hands leaning on the counter, the muscles in his jaws tensing up at the question. The only job waiting for him there would most likely be the one he had created. But he had made pretty sure the car's body was smashed up beyond repair, at least beyond what the car was worth. When he actually did do something, he did it good, even if that something was something on the wrong side of the line.
"I meant it when I said I quit the job. Just tow the fucking thing and let insurance take care of the rest." He mumbled. He was being unreasonable and he knew it. He should at least have the decency to clean some of his own shit up, but than he would only be reminded of that morning and that was not something he was looking for.

Brian closed his eyes for a moment and counted to three otherwise he would have just jumped up and snapped. In an effort to stay extra calm he answered. "What insurance is going to cover that? Plus I don't recall you saying you quit." Judging from the massive damage to his face he should actually be the one pouting and turning the cold shoulder. Obviously Jack wasn't about to explain himself or be reasonable so Brian simply asked what he'd wanted to know all along. " What'd I do to you that you smashed a customer's car? Did you try and ruin my garage? Did you just want to quit that job...cause I'm telling you there's easier ways."

Jack rolled his eyes, letting out an aggravated sigh. If he didn't know any better, he'd think Brian suffered from amnesia or something. "Well I did, brother. And don't worry about the rent, you'll get it."
He finally turned around at the next question, facing his brother full on while his hand dug in his pocket, fishing out the pack of smokes. He had picked up the bad habit again in full force, right now needing something to take the edge off of the building dark cloud threatening his mood despite the 'not in the house' rule.
"Didn't have much to do with you." He mumbled while he tapped the small pack almost absentmindedly against his hand. "Just wasn't really myself that morning..." He added with a shrug before he pulled one of the cancersticks out, lit it up and took a long drag, allowing the smoke to flow free from his lungs seconds later. Even though his words had come out as simple explanation, he knew damn well that shit wasn't going to cut it, but he wouldn't be him if he didn't at least try and avoid everything and anything that had to do with being held responsible for his own actions, though.

With a lot of phantasy Brian could read somewhat of an apology into Jack's words, which caused him to calm down inwardly. "Okay." He nodded. Apparently there was a rhyme and reason to his brother's actions, whatever thy were. "So you did smash it." he thought out loud. "Do you know they guy who brought it in or why did you do it? I mean if could understand maybe I wouldn't think..." He cut himself of once again frocing himself to stay nice and calm. "Care to share this?" Unfortunately he couldn't help but get a little frustrated at the thought of his angry customer, who might just go and ruin his reputation. Despite his own despise for smoking he stood up and reached for the package in Jack's hand, the lighter and then the back door. "Let's go outside." On the steps to the backyard he lowered himself and lit the smoke waiting for Jack to join him.

Jack furrowed his brow at Brian's conclusion, his questions, actually, at just about everything that came out of his brother's mouth right now. Was the guy kidding or what? He himself had been wasted to a tee, but he could still remember everything that had happened at the garage, yet Brian seemed to have some serious memory loss. Early case of alzheimer maybe?
Without even thinking of protesting, he followed behind Brian with the frown still deeply edged in his forehead, shoving his hands in his pockets, the lit cigarette loosely hanging between his lips as he stayed standing next to his sitting brother.
"How can you not remember a fucking thing?" He finally started after a few minutes of silence. Every single thing Brian had just asked had been pretty damn clear that morning. Except for maybe why he had choosen to come to the garage and fuck that car up, but that wasn't all that clear on himself either.

Brian stared out at the green of the garden. The smoke from the cigarette stung his eyes and he squinted.Everything made little sense to him either and he refused to beleive the little information he had gotten from Leon. "I have no idea. If I go by what Leon said you knocked me on m ass pretty damn hard." he turned to see the reaction on the younger sibling's face who seemed pretty observed in sucking in and blowing out smoke.

Jack had to do his best to keep that slight smug smirk of his face. It wasn't funny how far he had been willing to go after he'd gotten a hold of that wrench, it really wasn't, but in any other situation, the look on Brian's face would have had him in stitches by now. It was that perfect 'pity me and feel guilty' look and maybe, somewhere deep down, he did, even though he would never show it. Damn stubbornness, right?
"Yeah, things got uh.. a little out of hand, I guess, is a way to put it..." He mumbled while he pressed what was left of the cigarette out against the wall, breathing out the remaining smoke on a long sigh. He didn't want to have the rest of this conversation, filling in the gaps that shouldn't have to be filled in the first place. His actions had been stupid, almost dangerous and it shouldn't have happened, he already knew that now that he was sober.
"Look bro, I'll pay for the damage, one way or another, but I'm not getting back on the job, alright? I do you more shit than I do you good anyway." He mumbled. It was as close to an apology he would get while at the same time it was an attempt to avoid what had really been going on. But now Faye was back, she seemed to trust him again, at least enough and he wanted to leave it at that, forget about everything as much as possible.

Jack's words indicated that what Leon had told Brian was right. It wasn't hard to add the rest of the pieces of this puzzle together. If this was true it had been Jack who had knocked him out and then left without turning back...for four days. Brian could feel the anger inside shooting up like magma in a volcano. With his index finger he flicked the remaining cigarette onto the grass, stood up to see look him in the face and stared at Jack with icy blue eyes. Through gritted teeth he muttered. "If I see it right it was you who knocked me out and left me there for whatever fucking reason you don't even know yourself! Fuck, Jack, I could have been dead and you're here, no call, no sorry, no nothing..." His fists clenched at his side even though he had promised himself not to use them this time. "The way I see it I have only two choices: Be stupid and accept that you are an asshole, who first damaged a car of my customer and then beat me unconscious...but hey, that's just the way you are. You're Jack, right?" He paused and took a deep breath. "Or I can just walk away from here today without a brother." His eyes lingered on Jack's features. The harshness of his words surprised him. They weren't supposed to push Jack's buttons like so many times though, they meant business.

Jack raised his chin slightly with a surprisingly calm expression on his face, the only thing giving away the sting of Brian's words being the visibly rising tension in his jaws. He knew his brother long enough to know that he wasn't joking, not this time anyway, yet still he didn't falter nor did he make any attempt to opt out on his usual attitude. To say fuck all to anyone and everything, destroying whatever because he refused to admit fault, take responsibility or even clean up his own mess.
"Yeah, you're right bro, that's just the way I am. Fucking Jack O'Conner, asshole extraordinaire." He spat back, his own eyes turning stone cold when he heard option two. It pushed his buttons, but not in any desired way. It should've held him back from uttering his next words, yet they left his mouth on a whim without really realizing or even meaning what he was saying. "So walk the fuck out of here, Brian. Because I ain't gonna change any time soon and I sure as hell ain't gonna care."

Brian had hoped sincerely that this wasn't even an option for Jack. Either the picture he had of his brother was really wrong or something else was the matter. Jack's words hurt even more than the cracked nose he had left him with. He never expected him to say that he really didn't care. A hint of sadness showed in his otherwise motionless expression. "Right." He looked passed Jack not knowing what to say. Brian never wanted to go this far. "That's pretty sad. I always thought there's a good chore behind that 'don't give a fuck' facade of yours. I guess you had me fooled all these years." He shot one more glance at Jack. All anger had been washed away from his voice.

Jack let out a huff at Brian's words to hide the fact that everything hit him right in the sore spots, though at the same time he had had it. He may have been the one who went too far, driven by the alcohol, but his brother wasn't a saint in this game either, the cuts and bruises on his own face and body proving that fact. At least the ones inflicted after Leon had pulled them apart. Self defense his ass.
"No, you know what's sad, Brian? When I told you Faye left me, all I got from you is that it's my own fault, that I fuck up everything I touch or even come near. That's what's sad, bro." He half growled, spitting out the 'bro' as if it was one hell of a bad tasting word while the whole 'don't give a fuck' attitude slowly dissolved. He did give a fuck what his brother thought about him, but when the fucker was wrong, well, it just worked like a red rag on a bull even more than it did when Brian was right about his less than pretty personality traits.

In disbeleive Brian listened to Jack's angry words. had he really said that? "Did I really say that?" He had no recollection of these words or even the fact that Faye had been metnioned. "Was that after you hit me or before? Has it crossed your mind that I was pissed off...hang on. Faye left you?" He shot a quick glance back at the house. Faye had opened the door. Despite the fact that Brian was sad and unnerved about his brother's incapability of taking responsibility for his own actions or his lack of brotherly feelings he hadn't given up on his yet. If jack was really serious about wanting him to walk away then he would.

Jack closed his eyes and rubbed an annoyed hand over his face. If everything he said was going to be regurgitated as a question by Brian, he'd be soon sporting a headache that would far surpass the one the immense hangover of three days ago had caused.
"I don't know. What does it matter if it was before or after?" He mumbled as he finally opened his eyes again, taking his sweet ass time before they finally met his brother's once more. "You know what? I'm not doing this anymore. If you want to hear I'm sorry, than I'm sorry, alright? I don't know what else you want from me now, since obviously I can't undo any of this shit."

Jack's annoyed attitude sparked brian's anger all over. Raising both hands in desperation he got pretty loud. "You don't make any fucking sense. One moment you tell me to walk out, the next you say you're sorry in the same tone you usually say kiss my ass...You know what I want from you Jack?" Blue eyes stared a hole into the middle of Jack's skull right in between his eyes. "I want to you be honest. Put all your stupid attitude aside and tell me where I stand: Am I really just a pain in your ass and you don't give a shit about what you do to me, then let me know...or if you're really sorry, then let me know as well." he pointed his finger at jack's face. "Just fucking mean what you say!"
